Date of Scene: 06 June 2020
Location: Shaw Studios, Lower East Side
Synopsis: Dean seeks an audience with the Nick but must first get past the three guardians.
Cast of Characters: Dean Winchester, Phantasm (Drago)

Dean Winchester has posed:
Dean can be a chameleon and fake being anything. Today? Tourist. Okay, okay, not really faking that, more poking around...and he does need to catch a Nick for Angel stuff so, so...not angelic, Angel stufff...as in, what the hell's going on with Carpe Noctem anway?

So in he goes, well out of the lot and up to the door, peering in with a curious look.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
As Dean peers in and gets a glimpse into the lobby area, a Larry positioned to the left of the door gets the feeling he's being watched. Turning his head, he looks over to the curious Dean.

He gestures towards the handle of the door. "It's Unlocked."

Dean Winchester has posed:
Dean strolls in. No coffee, no fanfare. Just. well, then, I'm here. Didn't even bring any cofffee or donuts. Poor pooor Dean. Which is kinda the point. Looking over to Larry, Dean smiles/ "Hey I'm looking for a friend of mine"

Great, Dean, just spill your whole life story...great...

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Larry nods, watching the newcomer come over. His demeanor is pleasant by New York standards. He's not scowling. And he's not giving any suspicious looks to Dean either. And judging from him lifting the radio off his belt, he seems to be the helpful sort. "Alright then. We have some sessions going on so I'll have to check to see if they're available. Who are you looking for and who are you?"

Dean Winchester has posed:
Oh good, helpful guards, Dean's acctually glad of this. "Uh. Nick" he offers, "I was hoping to catch him here though so could you check if he's actually here?" Dean adds and looks hopeful/ Sure, he may strike out but why not try?

Shaking his head Dean smiles. "Youu guys got a nice place here though" he offers.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Larry pauses, glancing up to look at Dean. "...Last name? Your name?"

Dean Winchester has posed:
"Winchester. Dean Winchester" Dean offers, "I'm looking into stuff with him so yeah I was hoping to catch him" Dean adds looking amused. See,this guy isn't all bad

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Larry gives a momentarily confused glance but gives a slight nod. "Alright, I don't recall seeing a Nick Winchester on the list for today but I can still radio up to see if there was a last minute addition."

Dean Winchester has posed:
Dean sighs. "No, jeez, Nick, lives in Midtown I think or around there. He knows the guys that run this place" Dean says...and sounds like an idiot. "I meant my last name's Winchester, Angel knows him" Dean offers and looks overly confused a litttle.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Larry sighs, looking to Dean. "You don't know the last name of the guy you're trying to talk to?" The smile fades a bit but he shrugs, bringing the radio up. "Main office. We have a ... Dean Winchester asking for a Nick who lives in Midtown."

There's a pause as Larry looks to Dean, brow raising a bit before resting back down. He looks to Dean and then tilts his head up to indicate to the ceiling camera.

Dean Winchester has posed:
Dean shakes his head and looks bemuesed. he does give the camera a smile mind. "I'm looking for him though" Dean offers. Not helping his case until he pulls up a picture of Nick on his phone. "That guy" Dean offers with a hopeful look. See, he's playing the bumbling idiot spot here. He knows fulll well who Nick is, true, but...but....

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Larry glances down, looking over to the picture of Nick that Dean looked up, "Oh. THAT one."

The radio cracks open and the familiar voice of Wade echos out, the tone, a bit disbelieving, "Dean. You mean to tell me after all this time you don't know Nick's last name?" There's a slight pause before the radio continues. "Send him up to Gary. He'll show him over. Session should be hitting a break soon."

Larry shrugs and gestures over to the main staircase. "Up there, second floor guard will walk you to the office."

Dean Winchester has posed:
"I didn't bother to learn it when we were shitfaced on your floor" Dean retorts heading for the tairs with a nod of thanks to Larry. He'll be back with coffee, cause even guards deserve treats every now and then, and Dean's keen to find Nick and talk to him about stuff, which....yes, the whole point of this meeting.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
As Dean makes it up to the next level, he encounters the next guard. Very similar in appearance to Larry down below. The radio being clipped back indicates that he's aware of the situation as he gives a nod to Dean. "This way."

He turns, leading them down the hallway.

The upper level seems to have less floorspace than the lower one. There being NO doors to the right of the hallway save for midway down the length of the building and one at the far end. To the right, there are several and it appears he's leading him towards the center most door with Wade Shaw's name upon it.

Gary turns, gesturing in to the office.

The office itself is pretty simple. While the furniture is of good quality, the pieces appear to be chosen based off of need. There is a desk, some chairs, and a rather comfy looking futon set up against the wall. It seems that the session musicians are not the only ones who have crashed in the building overnight. The desk is also pretty sparse. A laptop locked to the desk, a notepad, a pen cup, a newspaper and a single framed photo showing Wade and Nick with two men of similar age smiling with an older looking man backstage somewhere. The members of Silver Round, and a manager.

A blonde man, in his early 30s sporting a square jaw line sits at the desk. His attire is far from formal as he's wearing a pair a of nice jeans and a designer tee. Definitely of higher quality than Nick purchases, but also very much casual.

Wade looks to Dean, leaning back in his chair, giving an amused smirk, "... And the time afterwards you were too shitfaced to followup?"

Dean Winchester has posed:
"TOo hungover" Dean says like it's a normal thing. Things got outta hand with he and Wade...and no, Dean hadn't looked Nick up, well not his name..he was busy browsing other sites.

Looking over to Wade, Dean has a quietly pissed look. "Look, where's Nick? I need to talk to him" he starts.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"That is a long time to be hungover." Wade comments, shaking his head, leaning forward to get the chair he's in out of the reclined position. He gestures over to the futon, which is in sofa form at the moment. "I sent a message down to the studio he's recording in. They should be going to break soon and he'll be asked to come up here."

The studio owner rests his arms on the desk, "Is it an emergency?"

Dean Winchester has posed:
Dean thuds onto the couch and shakes his head, "Not exactly, no. More a whole I'd like to catch up with him but it can wait" Dean admits with a shrug, "Take that how you will"

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"Ok. So not a need. More a want." Wade replies, giving a nod. He turns, pulling open a file cabinet drawer and tugs out a bottle of water, offering it over to Dean. "Kind of how Nick may want to do everything under the sun but he needs to manage his time better." He pauses, studying Dean carefully for a moment, "Which... would be where managers come in. To make sure they don't burn out."

Dean Winchester has posed:
"Hey thanks" Dean nods taking the water and sipping it, "See, you got this" Dean nods looking to Wade. "So when's he gonna come up here and how hard is he to keeep on a leash anyhow? He sounds like trouble" Dean mutters.

Ah that Winchester kid is trouble, Dean...

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"When the session breaks he'll be up." Wade promises, shaking his head "And, I don't keep him on a leash. He'd be out the door if I did something like that. No, I manage his music bookings. And, maybe remind him to take a vacation every so often."

He pauses, "He seems to be doing better on that front. I'm actually seeing gaps in his schedule now gigs wise. Seems like he's taking more classwork now."

Dean Winchester has posed:
"Ah good" Dean nods, "But doesn't the knitcap make him stand out in classes?" he adds looking pleased at the idea of his friends getting classes. Watching Wade for a moment, he nods as Deaan sighs, picturing Nick in his knitcap in class, which makes him smile/ Shaking hiss head, Dean sips his water more.

So what you been up to?" he asks Wade casualy

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"It's gotten hotter. He's switched over to a ballcap." Wade replies, waving his hand, "Granted the press caught on to the look but He's actually more recognizable in public without the hat. And I'm sure he takes the hat off when indoors or when training starts."

He leans back, "Uh, the usual. Making sure building is in order, making sure staff is happy, making sure our call list only keeps the best and brightest on it. Making sure my clients remember to take breaks. The usual."

Dean Winchester has posed:
Dean shakes his head at Wade with a shrug, "so same old same old, and I could get Jo to knit him a ballcap" Dean jokes with a smile then looks serious for a few momentts. Looking to Wade again Dean shakes his head with a laugh.

"Sorry, I was just picturing Nick in the shower with that cap on, or ya know, he takes it off every once in a while right?" he grins looking pleased and nods. "That's like me and my jacket, really"

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Wade chuckles, "He mainly wears the cap to hide the hair. The fans that tend to cause the most problems would only recognize him if he looked like his stage persona and that's usually the common theme." Wade looks to the jacket Dean indicates. "It's not a bad jacket. He didn't use the hat as much when his hair was cut short. But I can vouch that once he gets in to the condo, that's usually the first thing that gets thrown off."

A mischevious smirk forms on his face. "Do you always picture my friends in the shower?"

Dean Winchester has posed:
"What, no!" Dean protests vehemently and shakes his head, "I don't think of that, it was a sily example!" he offers with a weary look, "Fine, he does take the hat off, I'll give you that point"

See, Dean can concede points. "You wipe that grin off your face, willya" he adds with a quiet tone. Great, Dean's not liking being the butt of Wade's jokes.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"Oh no." Wade replies, voice betraying a bit of evil glee at the reaction, "The smile's staying." After all, it isn't often that he sees someone else experiencing the twisting of words to give that odd interpretation.

There's a knock at the door which draws Wade's attention away from Dean.

In the doorway stands a Nick, dressed as he normally does but instead of a knit cap there's a ballcap in hand. There's no jacket either, allowing for his arms to be exposed where the T-shirt sleeves don't cover. Nick looks over to Wade and then to Dean. "You needed me to come up here?"

Dean Winchester has posed:
Dean shrugs, watching Nick, "Yeah I needed to catch up with you bout Buffy's thing. Got somewhere quiet to do that?" he asks with as smile. Lookking over to Wade then Nick, dean is lounging quite happily sipping on the water. Dean's settled in here and relaxing.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick looks to Dean for a moment before looking over to Wade. "Mind if we-?"

Wade smirks, tapping a few keys on his laptop, before sliding back in his chair. "Sure. About time to do a walk through anyways." Getting up, Wade moves towards the door. He pauses, glancing to Dean before he starts laughing, closing the door behind him.

Nick raises a brow at the closed door before looking over to Dean, "What was that about?"

Dean Winchester has posed:
"Wade was being a little bastard" Dean says, "I put my foot in it with him, don't mind me" he addsand gts down to business.

"It's about Carpe Noctem. I wanted to know whaw what you think on it" he offers, looking over to Nick. "it's not sitting right with me" Dean says gently

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"Oh. So nothing out of the ordinary with you and Wade then." Nick assesses, walking around the desk to sit in the chair. He glances over to the locked screen before looking to Dean. "I'm not as versed in it as you might be" Nick admints, "Other than getting called in to help with saving her sister and then back again to keep an eye on Thomas while he retrieves her, that's about it with my dealings." He shrugs, "I show up when I'm asked to. I do my bit. I go home."

He pauses, looking to Dean, "I don't do what you guys do."

Dean Winchester has posed:
"You take your damn knitcap off" Dean adds with a laugh, "Ask Wade on that one" he mutters with a wry grin. "Wade and I were havingg a talk about you is all"

Looking more serious for a moment, he nods, "Yeah but it's not sitting well with me" Dean says, "Even from your not really involved seat...what do you think on it?" he asks.

Yeah there's a question.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick blinks. "...Uh yeah? I do take the hat off. Why would I wear it at home?" He tilts his head curiously at the hunter before the conversation gets redirected back to Carpe Noctum.

"What do I think about the idea of some club thing recruiting for the side of vampires? I'm not a fan of it, that's for sure. I'm a bit surprised we haven't heard anything more about them since Buffy's rescue and part of me's concerned that if they haven't already they might go after the homeless shelters WHICH already has a problem with people trying to prey on their residents."

Dean Winchester has posed:
Dean nods, "yeah and that worries me a lot, but I don't want to go protect the homeless shelters" Dean says, "Mostly since there's so many and such a wide area there'd never be time to cover them all" he admits looking a little dejected at the thought of having too much ground to cover. Still though, Dean looks unimpressed by the thought of having to run around all the time to check constantly on shelters...

Watching Nick, Dean sighs, shaking his head/ "Okay, okay. We need to get a hold of Angel" he nods firmly. "Good of a starting point as ever, plus he has pie.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"I know some people are monitoring some of the New York shelters." Nick volunteers, "Lucius is on alert as well being a sizable chunk of his residents are mutant and have been targed once before. But, they're more focused on human threats."

He pauses, "What is it with you and other people's food?"

Dean Winchester has posed:
"Angel got good pie that's what" Dean says "I just like my pie and burgers, c'mon. What's wrong with that?" he asks with a sigh. "Man's gotta eat right?" he adds with a nod raising the water bottle as if making a point. Not food but still...

"Yeah but I stilll feel like if we figure it out, then wee'll protect evderyone rightt?" he asks.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"Right. Well..." Nick leans back in the chair, kicking his feet up on to Wade's desk, "You guys figure it out, and when you need backup, give me a call. If I happen to stumble on anything I think is relevant when I'm out and about, I'll let you guys know."

Dean Winchester has posed:
Dean looks pleased by that and nods. "Alright, but please, get a phone that gets texts. Kinda hard to call you when I'm kicking a vampire's ass" Dean adds and looks amused then looks over at the door. "Wade can come back in now" he adds with a laugh.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick blinks, "Wait, so typing in a message is so much quicker for you than just talking to someone over the phone?" He pauses, "And my phone can get texts. I just can't read them because of the screen."

Dean Winchester has posed:
"Put it this wayy, your phone's good, but.." he says watching Nick, "Ah never mind, I'll get going and buy the guards coffee though, I've got a few leads to follow up on" Dean says and smiles. "You stay out of trouble though" Dean adds looking to Nick settled at Wade's desk.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick gives a chuckle, moving his feet off the desk to stand up. "Come on. With the friends I keep," He pauses, giving a pointed glance to Dean, "you know I'd be lying if I said I would. Best I can do is say I won't conciously make stupid decisions."

Yes. That is COMPLETELY reassuring. Walking around the desk, he opens the door to look down the hallway, "Hey Wade. Think you can track down a replacement phone?"

"It's about damn time you replaced it!" Wade calls back.

Dean Winchester has posed:
That's as good as Dean's gonna get, really and he settles in, shaking his head at the two of them as he heads for the door. Step 1. Get a hold of Buffy and catch up Carpe Noctem stuff. Step two. Stay out of trouble and get pie or cheeseburgers
