Dinner at the Empire State

Location:	Empire State Building, Midtown
Synopsis:	Andrea and Sam have dinner and talk about life after school and next plans.

Rage has posed:
It's a beautiful summer afternoon in New York City and Andrea has invited Sam out for an early dinner at the STATE Grill and Bar located at the Empire State Palace. Having reserved a private table, the newly graduate is wearing a stunning black dress that hits at the knees, complete with new diamond earrings, a gold chain necklace and black sandals. She has blue and violet streaks in her hair now and a hint of makeup. Already seated and sipping on a water, she flips through her phone a few times.

She went ahead and ordered a cheese plate with various slices of meat, as well as a water for herself and one of Sam's favorite beers in a bottle, chilled in a small bucket of ice. For now, the other customers of the busy establishment have gave her some space, though a few pictures of her have been taken from across the way.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie did look the place up when he found out the address. So he is wearing a pair of black dress pants, and a royal purple button up shirt. He is dressed much like he does when he is being business man at the club. He will be lead to the table by the hostess, and tells her "Thank you ma'am." Yup, ever polite. He looks over to Andrea and smirks a bit "No Big Belly Burger for you?" He jokes a bit.

Rage has posed:
There's a grin on Andrea's face as she waves over towards Sam. "Nope. I wanted filet mignon tonight. It's to die for. It's like butter." She lifts her glass up for a small sip. "They lobster potpie is also realy good here. I was thinking after we eat we could go to the top of the tower. It's a beautiful view if you haven't done it yet. I figure with a free day, I may as well enjoy it outside instead of grinding in the studio. Try to get as much fresh air as I can before college starts. Jay is busy moving the rest of his stuff and packing so I figured I'd leave him to it and get out. How're you?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "I am doing pretty good, and yea you can get some nice views from up this high." He perhaps gets them easier not needing the building and all. Glad you had time to meet me, know you and Jay are tryin got get things set up, and to be honest was a little curious about the details. "Where you going to be staying, gonna try summer classes or waiting till the fall?"

Rage has posed:
"I'm waiting until the fall. There is no way I'm going to give up my last summer break of freedom." Andrea says as she flags a waiter down to refill her water. Once done, she gives him a grin. "Well he's going to move in with me at my condo in Manhattan and we're going to commute to college. It's an easy drive and we'll work on our schedules together. I think he's settled on studio engineering so we'll have a few classes that cross over with each other." She is all smiles as she talks about this, excited. "I'm so happy for him, that he gets to go to school and have a dream career."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "Well I am just got he has let himself open up again, it was not an easy thing for him. Your a pretty good kid, and think you both will be good for one another, just remember twins run in the family." He jokes a bit with her and will look at the beer and shrugs a bit opening it.

Rage has posed:
There is a bit of a jolt as he mentions twins. Andrea's face darkens for a moment, her fingers curling around a napkin for a squeeze before she clears her throat. "Well, lucky for him I'm on an IUD." She says with an amused grin on her face. "Though the practice has been really fun." She looks smug for a brief moment as she flips the menu over to give another glance at the contents despite already having settled. "For a full year I pined over him, so I made sure our first night together was worth it."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie does not give her to much more grief on that one, he just wanted to make sure it was thought about. "So you putting touring on hold or planning on doing summer tours?" He will ask her as he sips his beer.

Rage has posed:
"Right now touring is on hold as I complete my third album. I have half the songs written and some of them put to music. Just trying to finish the complete playlist and see if maybe I can find a way to work Jay on one or two. I'll do a few cities here and there mostly during the breaks, but only local ones. Nothing European or Asian until the summer of next year." Once the waiter arrives, she orders her filen mignon and a small salad. She waits for Sam to order his before continuing.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will look at the menu and goes yup with the burger and fries. He is a simple man when it comes to what food makes him happy. "Well if Ah can make a suggestion if you write a song about Jay don't call it Jay. Ah mean it sweet, and wonderful, but there will be people who give him grief over it trust me."

Rage has posed:
There's a loud snort from Andrea. "I haven't written a song called 'Mason' you know." She says with an amused noise. "I don't name songs after people. Though I do have a song that is about him, but I don't name drop people in any of my lyrics. It just causes drama and I don't want to deal with that. I'd rather my fans just guess or speculate. Either way, I do not plan on keeping Jay private. I'm proud of him and what we have together. I just hope he's prepared for what it is to come. The cameras, random interviews, people stalking his social media."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head a bit and says "I should probably talk to him a bit about what it will be like. Was not that bad here for me when it happened, she was bigger elsewhere." He admits. He looks over to Andrea and says "You talked to him about if he is going to be open?"

Rage has posed:
"I talked to him about it. He wants to be open in college. I'll support him however he wants. He knows that I have his back, whether it's with my claws, or with my resources. I picked NYU for how liberal it is as a college and it was one of the top schools that was mutant friendly. Everything I did was coordinated to the finest detail." Andrea says as she plucks up a cheese cube and pops it into her mouth, chewing on it.

"NYU has counseling for mutants as well for those who may need to talk. People that are specialized in such conversations. I feel like it's a safe place. If at any point it's not, we'll find somewhere else, but I'm confident we will be okay." She picks up another piece of cheese, wrapping it around a slice of meat that looks like a fancy salamai. "I have someone on my team that can help coach Jay through this process as well. The Do's and Don'ts about dating me when people come up and start badgering with questions."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods and says "He has always been worried about being open, I will admit I was wondering if he had thought about it on the scholarship. I mean back home, most folks assume we all are mutants, and that might be my fault." He admits, "I knew he was willing to be saw at the club but was not sure about general public.

Rage has posed:
"In this day and age, living in New York, it'd be impossible to hide it. We won't be safe inside a mutant school away from the public eye and if he's dating me, he'll have people with cameras constantly trying to get the perfect shot." Andrea gives a glance about the establishment, tucking some hair behind her ear. "But whatever steps he wants to take, I will support him. Open or closed. I just want him to be happy and safe."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "God to hear, and good to hear you have talked about it some. Just remember as much as you are gonna want to to do for him, he is going to want to do the same for you, and more."

Rage has posed:
"I know, and that's why I love him. He's a pleaser." Andrea grins around her glass of water towards him. "And I'm a pleaser. So we match up well. The fact he's so chill with dating me is a good thing. Most guys are intimidated by my wealth and popularity. He just treats me like a normal girl which is what I need. It makes it easier for me to spoil him without expectation."

Samuel Guthrie chuckles a bit and says "Well it is what we were raised to do judge a person by their actions not their money or appearance. " He looks out the window a bit in thought Never would have thought one of us would be up this far north and soon might be most of us."

Rage has posed:
"Well, maybe if Jay and I get married, I'll buy us a house down near your Ma and move them all in." Andera says with a grin as she props her chin up in the palm of her hand. "Depending on how this third album goes, I may do that anyways. It's going to be a banger." Her thumbs tap away along the glass of her phone. "So, who was that lady with you last night? She looked like Alexis. Was that her sister?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie shakes his head, and says "No that was her mom." He tells her. "It seems she still wants to be a part of her life, she just has to figure out how to do it, and how it will effect her dad and her." He looks to Andrea "Ah had hoped her mom might come around don't hold much hope for her dad though.

Rage has posed:
"Ah. I don't know much about their family situation. So he's a real mutant hating kinda jerk, huh? That sucks." Andrea's eyes widen as the food arrives, giving a lick of her lips in anticipation. She pulls her plate a bit closer, then turns it around so that steak is facing her. The garlic butter is still sizzling on top.

"I'm fortunate that my parents are really chill and accepting." The knife is cut into the meat, followed by a stab of her fork as she peeks at the texture to make sure it's the right color of pink. Of course it is. These are professionals.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods and munches a burger "Her dad has probably funded some of the protests at some of your shows. It is part of the reason she left home." He tells the lady. "The good news though is Ah have been able to help her connect back with most of her family, we spent a week in Europe early this yea, getting her back in touch with her grand parents. Sam smirks a bit and says "Think they will loose their mind if I ask for ketchup for my fries?"

Rage has posed:
"This is New York, not France. You can ask for ketchup. They won't throw you out." Andrea says with an amused noise in her throat. "This is mostly tourist traffic into this place. It's expensive, but not high scale."

"If you can find out for sure that he helped fund some of the protests, especially those that turned physical, let me know." She says as she takes another stab of the meat with her fork. "I'd like my lawyers to look into that."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will bring out his phone and show Andrea the group that her father is "They have lawyers like yours and more, they keep themselves. "They are al about the excellence of human kind and the best of the best but still human in the arts.

Rage has posed:
"What they don't have on their side, is American law." Andrea says with an amused grin. "So, if they did fund a terrorist attack on American soil, it would not end well for them if there was direct evidence of their actions." As she eats, she wolfs down the steak eagerly with gusto. "You like the burger?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie eats a bit more of his burger and says "It is really good, gotta give them top notches on it. They make sure anything they fund is supposed to be a peaceful protest and then if something bad happens "It was not our intention, but they don't complain if it does.

Rage has posed:
"All money has a papertrail, Sam. I'm sure if you follow it close enough, you'll find the weak point. Either way, I'm not in a position to make them into a project. Not unless they directly protest against my shows and people get hurt because of it." Andrea scoops up some mushroom risotto and takes a bite, sighing with a low thrum in her throat. "You going to miss me around the school? I know I was your favorite." She teases him.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Well it will be quieter thats for sure." He teases a bit back, and says "But, Ah aint loosing a student, Ah am gaining yet another sister." He rolls his eyes exaggeratingly, but smiles at her "Ah have a feeling I will see you more than most any other graduate, perhaps even some who live at the schools still."

Rage has posed:
"Probably. I'm a class ten clinger type of girl." Andrea admits with a bob of her head. "We'll have to do family dinners quite often with the four of us." She grins at him. "Don't call me a sister yet, don't want you know who to get jealous." She says with a chuckle. "I think that spot has already been claimed. Sides, we've been dating for three days, officially."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Well maybe more than the four of us, Melody is hoping to start at the school this fall, so maybe a 5th there when she gets here. Mind you she maybe more into trying to make her own friends than hang out with us old folk."

Rage has posed:
"I meant, you, myself, Jay and Alexis. But I'm excited to see Melody coming to the school. I hope she has fun here. I liked her that one time we met. I'm also hoping to get some more girltime with Paige. She and I got a lot in common. Hardworking and stubborn. I'd hire her for Starlight. I'm sure I can find something for her. Maybe a coordinator position." Andrea grins at him.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks her over and says "I knew what four ya ment, just figured would be inviting Mel along when she got her at least for dinner that was not a double date type night." He tells her. "Paige has been working really hard on her degree, she may beat me to one to be honest."

Rage has posed:
"She may beat you to two of them." Andrea says as she finishes her risotto, then goes back to working on her steak. "I could eat five of these." She sighs out loudly. "But it'd go right to my gut and my thighs and then my trainer would yell at me .. again." She grins sheepishly. "It's hard being on a calorie count with a wolf metabolism. I'm always hungry."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie chuckles a bit and says "Should I remind you that your gonna have to pick up some more gym time if your wanting to keep up with the calorie burning activites you won't have at college you had at school?

Rage has posed:
"I'm sure I'll find some new creative workouts with your brother at night." Andrea says with a waggle of her brows. "But, I do have a strict workout and diet with my trainers. So, while I may not be getting my body torn apart and beat up by the DR, I'll at least be doing burpees and crunches until my heart is content."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "I was going to say hopefully the new one does not have robotic ninjas involved." He smiles and says "I am sure you have a lot of dance practice as wel, trust me I know that burns it as I have been picing up a bit extra myselkf.

Rage has posed:
"Yeah, I put about six hours a day into dance when a tour is coming up. It has to be perfect and burned into muscle memory. I sweat buckets." Once Andrea finishes the rest of her meal, she dabs at her lips, then plucks up the dessert menu next to look it over. "You want something else before we head out, or up, depending on what you want to do."

Samuel Guthrie says, "I think I am good, was a good meal, and good to hear you and Jay have been talking and working out some things so you know where your headed. Know when your planning on doing the official move?""
