Synopsis: Sandy comes clean to Hank about being a mutant. They acted cute and went off to see a movie afterwards.
Cast of Characters: Sandra Billings, Beast

Sandra Billings has posed:
Once the pair walk back to Sandy's apartment complex, they pass by the gated garage where a cute yellow Kia Soul can be seen peeking out. "That's my car." She says as she gives a motion of her finger towards it. Once she swipes her keycard and nudges the door open, it reveals a small, cozy apartment. There are books everywhere in the form of multiple bookshelves that wrap from wall to wall. She wasn't lying when she said she is an avid reader.

Her kitchen is tiny, but it has a nice balcony view of the neighborhood with her small startup garden. The furniture is older and worn, most likely hand me downs. A small orange cat peeks out from around the couch, giving a loud 'meowl' towards them.

"Hey Oscar." Sandy says as she wiggles her fingers to the kitten. Sliding the purse on to the coat rack, she turns to look over at him and clears her throat. "You want something to drink? I know I could use something stronger than coffee after today."

Beast has posed:
"I like it," Beast says regarding the car pointed out to him. "Quite adorable, but not to the degree of its owner." As they enter the apartment the big, blue guy scans his surroundings, picking up on the various books and the like in there.

Almost before the cat can introduce itself Beast has detected it thanks to his marvelous sense of smell. When the little critter makes itself visible he waves to it, waggling fingers in greeting, "How do you do?"

And at Sandy's question Hank nods his head, "I think I would just like a water, actually. After getting my blood up it sometimes takes me a while to return to normal."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"I was thinking more along the lines of a Diet Coke, but I can do water too." Sandy says as she heads to the kitchen to grab a large glass and fills it with ice, followed by water from her fridge. By now, he can clearly see the bullethole on her back, the fabric torn open.

She fills a second glass of water up for herself, then heads over to hand it to him. Oscar the cat is peeking out from behind the couch, staring at Hank as if he was a much bigger cat. A lion maybe! A big blue lion. 'Rrrroowl.' He appears to be pretty confused.

"He's been a single cat for awhile now. I think he's intimidated by you." She says with an amused laugh. "You kinda .. really jumped that guy back there. I was scared you were going to hurt him."

Beast has posed:
"My thoughts went to whiskey. I wouldn't blame you if you needed a stiff drink after this morning," Hank admits as he looks at the bullet hole in Sandy's top with a frown. Accepting the water he nods his head, "Thank you."

Looking at Oscar again Hank says, "I come in peace. Sadly, my feline features do not confer upon me the ability to communicate in your tongue, however I will endeavor to treat your home and human with respect."

Chuckling at Sandy's remark Beast says, "It's difficult not to intimidate sometimes, based on my appearance alone." And then when things grow a little more serious he explains, "I find it best to end fights quickly with a combination of overwhelming strength and speed and the threat of force. I didn't want him firing any more and hurting anyone else out there."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"Don't get me wrong, it was hot .. watching you leap into action like that. I was more afraid that you would hurt him and it'd get caught on camera and the narrative would be twisted. Dangerous mutant attacks innocent coffee customer! News at 11! I've seen is so many times." Sandy says with a frown as she leans in against him. Her arms wrap about his waist once she puts her water down, pressing her cheek into his chest.

"But thank you for defending me. My knight in shining blue fur." Propping her chin up, she stares up at him for a few moments, then lets out a soft sigh. ".. He did shoot me." She says after a few moments of thought.

"I just.. uh.. I can't get hurt.. I maaaay.. be .. invincible.. sorta.. it's hard to explain."

Beast has posed:
When told that his action was 'hot', Beast smiles faintly. Under his fur he's probably blushing. Then he nods his head, "Unfortunately I've had quite a bit of experience dealing with situations like that one. Politics, while messy and confusing, are something I've been forced to attempt to come to terms with." As she wraps herself around him Hank hugs back, gently rubbing her back.

"You're welcome. It's an honor to be chosen as your champion." When she tells him about getting shot and her invincibility he nods his head again, "It's alright. If you don't feel comfortable explaining things to me you don't need to. I don't want to pressure you into anything you're not ready for."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"Well .. no. I need to explain it to you. It wouldn't be fair for me to lie to /you/ of all people. I am a mutant. I .. have .. I guess the easiest way to say is that I have super strength. I can't get hurt. Like not in the normal way. When I got shot, I felt it. It felt like getting shot but my body can't be penetrated. Bullets bounce off me. Knives can't cut me. I'm just super durable. I can't swim because of it. It's like my body has a weird anchor. Like my gravity is doubled so I just ... sink. Found out when I was a teenager trying to have fun at a public pool. I almost drowned and it took two guys to pull me back up."

"Can only imagine the jokes I had to endure afterwards." Giving a stub of her foot against the ground, Sandy lets out a soft sigh. "But better to be called names for being .. chubby .. than being a mutant I guess. But, uh .. I can pick up a car." Her lips curve upwards. ".. Small cars."

Beast has posed:
"Thank you for trusting me with this information, Sandy. It means a lot to me," Hank says to his lady friend, giving her a gentle smile. "I was afraid I'd become negatively bouyant myself after I induced my secondary mutation, but despite my muscle density I'm still able to float."

"I'm sorry that you had to deal with abuse as a result of your experience." And then, when she smiles, McCoy does to, "That's quite impressive! Superhuman strength can be extremely valuable. I can't tell you all the times I've been asked to help move furniture." A little chuckle at his own joke. "I'm glad to know that he couldn't have caused you serious damage with your weapon. When you were shot my first thought was to end the fight and then begin emergency medical treatment."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"I know. I just didn't want to point that out during the situation. Think it'd cause more panic. Rather people sigh a breath of relief that he 'missed' me, rather than start screaming about more mutants. I don't know. I just.. I don't know how to react in those situations. I've gone my entire life under the radar. Only my parents know." Sandy says as she gives him another hug, then grins to herself. With a flex of her arms, she hefts him upwards and over her head, staring upwards at him with a grin.

"You know, I feel a lot better knowing I can talk to you about this." She says as she gently lowers him back down, effortlessly before she leans in and gives him a hug. "It's impressive, yes. But I've had to ... um... lie .. about things in my life. I had to fake blood samples to get hired at the hospital." She says with a guilty tone in her throat. "Needles can't poke my skin. I didn't want them to find out I was a mutant and I worked /so/ hard at this."

Beast has posed:
"You made the right decision, Sandy," Hank says as he's lifted. There's a deep chuckle as he goes with it, looking down at his lady friend with a grin that matches hers. "Very wise. It's best not to risk further trouble when you can avoid it."

"I'm glad you feel comfortable talking to me," he returns the hug, squeezing affectionately. "It's good that you still managed to find a way to work in your chosen profession. I can't imagine what you'd need to go through to accomplish everything you have without being outed." He slowly nods, "You shouldn't feel bad about having to manipulate the system a little bit. It's in place for a reason but it doesn't take special considerations and circumstances into account."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"I still feel bad. It's like .. criminal. I've never broke the law before." Sandy says as she reaches up to brush her fingers along the fur of his cheek, giving him a warm smile. "My big fear is that I may have to do it again. Like a surprise inspection, or if we have a huge pandemic and they have to test us. I don't know! But ... until that day comes, I just try and be careful."

Her palm brushes along his cheek and jawline, then finds herself blushing a bit. Lifting up on tiptoes, she says, "I do believe that .. we were interrupted from something like this.. right before I was shot." She says, aiming, slowly, for a kiss.

Beast has posed:
"You did what you needed to do," Hank says softly, smiling as his cheek fur is petted. "I might be able to come up with a way to help you get around those tests, if you allow me a little time and can give me warning about when they come up."

And then she starts leaning in for a kiss. Beast reciprocates, moving in slowly to press his lips gently against hers.

Sandra Billings has posed:
There's a small smile at his words, though most of her focus is now into leaning forward to meet his lips. Gliding her hands around his neck, Sandy kisses him gently, slowly as she lets out a soft happy sigh. Her fingers thread through his furry neck, settling into place as she enjoys the bit of affection between them.

With another grin, she places one more peck against him, then one more along his jaw before she leans back. "I meant it when I said I'm into you. You're smart, strong, handsome, polite. I know the world isn't ready yet to get over their hangups, but you're the complete package to me, Hank McCoy." She brushes her fingers against his cheeks, staring into his blue eyes with a smile.

"So, now that I have the day off .." She trails off a bit. "How would you like to spend it? If you don't have any immediate plans, I'm open to ideas."

Beast has posed:
"If I'm the complete package then you're clearly the whole shipment, Sandra Billings," Hank replies happily. "Beautiful, talented, caring and dedicated."

Her question about how to spend the day leaves him thinking for just a second, "I don't have anything pressing. Would you like to go for a walk through the park, perhaps? Or find a theater showing something that looks interesting?"

Sandra Billings has posed:
"Sure, we can do that. I haven't been to a movie in years. All I know is that I love movie popcorn. On my lunch break, sometimes I walk down the street to the theater just so I can get a bag. It's terribly unhealthy but movie butter is magical." Sandy says as she steals another quick kiss, then heads over to settle down on the couch, pulling her laptop over her knees to search the local theather times.

His compliments has her cheeks on fire though. She is not used to hearing those words, at least expressed /about/ her. Mostly in romance novels. "I love action films." She admits.

Beast has posed:
"Popcorn sounds wonderful," Beast says as he gently returns the kiss. As Sandy heads to the couch he moves to sit down next to her, leaning back and relaxing. Being the polite sort of person that he is he refrains from looking at her computer for respect for her privacy.

"My preference is for comedies, but I don't object to the sheer entertainment value possessed by a good action movie."

Sandra Billings has posed:
"We can find an action comedy movie." Sandy says as she leans in against him on the couch, scooting over a bit to rest her head on the back of his arm. She doesn't appear to mind if he peeks at her screen. It's just the local mvoie theather showtimes she has pulled up.

Scrolling through the movies, she hums to herself. "I don't even watch TV, I have no clue if any of these are good. Um... this one? It's a comedy." She says as she turns the screen to him and hits the trailer. It's a buddy cop movie. The kind where both partners just don't have chemistry and constantly snap at each other while barely getting by.

Beast has posed:
As Sandy moves to lean against him Hank goes to slide an arm over her shoulders, relaxing easily around her. He looks at the laptop screen when it's indicated that it's okay to check out the movies that are playing. After watching the trailer he chuckles a bit, "That looks like fun. Reminds me of Beverly Hills Cop a little bit."

Sandra Billings has posed:
As she taps a few times on the touchpad, Sandy goes about placing an order for two of the tickets, even choosing a pair of seats in the last row at the far back. At least that way no one can complain about the large Cookie Monster blocking their view. That, and the last row is the /best/ row for viewing purposes.

Once done, she sends the tickets to her phone so she can use her app and the rewards program. "Cool. Even if it's not good, at least we'll have popcorn." She says as she leans into him, closing the laptop lid and sliding it off to the side. Looking up at him, she gives him another bright smile. "I'll drive. My car should be fully charged up. I hope you like country music." She jokes.

"Ready when you are."
