Debriefing over Shawarma
Date of Scene: 18 July 2020
Location: Shawarma Palace - Manhattan
Synopsis: Bobbi and Joan get Baklava while Bobbi figures out what Joan knows about Punisher
Cast of Characters: Joan Wright, Mockingbird

Joan Wright has posed:
Well, while Mockingbird had her encounter with Punisher, just a floor below, thumping and banging the ceiling, essentially sending vibrations up to the roof, was a Joan. The end result wasn't TOO much. She didn't touch anything directly and the only things moved were the bricks that comprised a portion of the wall, looking much like it did before only with the lack of dry wall and the occasional gap in brick in the pattern, providing a glimpse into the other apartment that got blown out. Just enough to keep the place safe, not enough to completely mess with the investigation to the explosion.

When Bobbi came down, there Joan was, waiting patiently near the apartment door, scribbling notes on a piece of scratch paper she had in her pocket. Basically recommendations on what repairs should be focused on first in order to preserve the integrity of the building. No running off. Still there.

That was a few minutes ago. Now she's being escorted in to the Shawarma Palace.

Mockingbird has posed:
Bobbi hasn't even sassed her once. Instead with the promise of free (well, SHIELD paid for) food, Bobbi's finding a table to sit at. Joan gets the heavy lifting of deciding and orderingg as Bobbi sits back. She's only thrown a long coat over her tactical suit, mind...good thing she's fashionable to a point.

And she's in a good mood all things considered. Sure, she's pissed about the Punisher holding her at gunpoint, but...

Joan Wright has posed:
It isn't long for Joan to make her decision as she comes back with two coffees a wrapped sandwich, and a five piece baklava. "I'd already eaten lunch so..." Joan starts to explain, setting the unaltered black coffee and sandwich before Bobbi and the Baklava plate in the center of the table. She dumps a few creamers and packets of sugar on the table as well.

Joan's attire is not, fashionable, but it is pretty functional. Pants, while nice, but made of a sturdy material. A shirt of a similar nature with a collar. No dangling jewelry, no jewelry at all, and a short hair style which can only be served by tucking the locks behind the ear.

"I got dessert instead."

Mockingbird has posed:
Bobbi raises an eyebrow and smiles a little. "You decided dessert then" she says with a look over the haul Joan got and unwraps the sandwich, inspecting it carefully for a moment. "I'm all ears. You said you know buildings, right. What specifically about them, arey you involved with designing and building themm?" she asks sipping her coffee and looks pleased at the caffeine infusion.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan sits down, popping off the lid of her coffee to start adding creamer and sugar to taste. A few creamers and sugars are left untouched sho Bobbi want any for her own coffee. "I am a Restoration Architect and work for a local firm. I generally work with older buildings and make an effort to maintain the history of them but I can work with newer ones as well."

She picks up the stirrer, blending the contents of the coffee together before tapping the stick against the edge. "I also have a side business where I take run down homes, flip them and sell them."

She pauses, looking to the table and ends up moving some of the emptied sugar packets over to make a row, upon which she sets the wet stick. "Seems I forgot napkins." She murmurs, putting the lid back on.

Mockingbird has posed:
"Ah" Bobbi says satisfied with that explaination as Bobbi sips her coffee more.

"So you got a stable joob working with buildings, alright. Did you know that other guy" Bobbi adds looking serious for r a moment, but...she sits back chewing on the sandwich and listens quietly.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan blinks at Mockingbird as she mentions an other guy. "What other guy?" She asks, "I was the only one in the apartment when I went inside."

She pauses, "There was the sound of a door slam. But when I looked around I didn't see anyone in other apartment so I just continued on with the repair."

Mockingbird has posed:
Bobbi nods. "That other guy. I went up to the roof and he was holding me at gunpoint" Bobbi adds setting the sandwich down. "See, you were fixing the building, so thanks for not having it collapse more, you did good" Morse adds sipping her coffee more. See this is going well, Morse isn't mouthy at all, amazingly. She wants facts

Joan Wright has posed:
At the mention of her being at gunpoint, the architect's brows raise up. "Gunpoint?" She repeats, "Do you think that guy was the reason for the explosion?"

Mockingbird has posed:
"I....don't know, that's between people above my pay grade to work out" Bobbi says and lays her SHIELD ID on the table. "You understand if I can't tell you everything" she adds and puts a hand over it, pocketing it again. "Let's just say I have my ideas, but no proof, at least not right now sitting here eating a sandwich and talking to you, it's kind of rattled me a little" Bobbi admits. Sure, she goes toe to toe with people SHIELD want dealt with, but she's good at what she does.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan glances down to the badge, looking to the credentials. "Oh. Well, it doesn't hurt to ask." She picks up her cup, "So, no. Other than you, the people running down the stairs, some cops and the owner of the building after leaving the building, that's it for meeting people. Just went in, looked for the area of the damage that might cause further problems, got the pieces put back as a temporary fix and relayed my findings to pass along to whoever gets the contract for the repair work."

She shrugs, giving a sip of her coffee.

Mockingbird has posed:
"The way the damage looked though, to me it looked like somebody wanted those apartments gone" Morse muses looking just a bit worried. "You may be on their radar though for fixing things, but..." Bobbi offers, "I doubt they'll care, they'll probably assume it's just some contractor lowest bidder cheap ass type" she nods. Ah she knows how red tape works. She's not got May or Coulson's knack of cutting through it down to a fine art, even.

Joan Wright has posed:
The architect tilts her head at the suggestion. "I'm doubting it too. On their radar for what? Noticing an explosion? That was pretty much anyone on that block. Also I didn't touch a thing of theirs. Bricks don't belong to them. And I didn't repair the whole place, just enough so anyone going in there or walking on the roof don't get hurt from weakend support. They're still destroyed otherwise."

She takes another sip.

Mockingbird has posed:
"No, for fixing it up if they wanted to destroy the apartments" she nods, "But that's a moot point really" Bobbi admits, looking puzzled though. Sure, if people wanted to kill for fixing apartments...well, that'd make the construction industry problematic really as Bobbi sets the sandwich down.

"You did good however. So" Bobbi adds, "Did you get somebody contracted in to finish the repair?"

Joan Wright has posed:
The cup lowers as Joan sets the coffee back down. "In the end, that's not my building and not all the materials were within reach. I just bought the building owner time to get building affairs in order. I gave him the information on what I observed in there based off of damages and gave him a few recommendations of people I know who are qualified and skilled enough to make the full repairs."

She reaches over to the baklava to take a piece, "I'm not obligated to but I might stop by in a few days to follow through."

Mockingbird has posed:
Bobbi nods looking pleased to Joan and looks amused. "Alright, how much is that dessert? I need to get going but I wanted to pay for the sandwich and coffee and dessert" she explains

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan sets the receipt down in front of Bobbi and then pulls out a business card with her contact information. "For the eventual paperwork." She explains, indirectly giving the SHIELD agent what she asked for.

Business portions aside, she gives a friendly smile. "It was nice talking with you Ms...?"

Mockingbird has posed:
Bobbi takes the business card putting a $20 on the receipt. "Morse. Dr. Morse Ph.D" Bobbi says and nods. "Mind if I take the pieces?" she adds, okay, sandwich /and/ dessert, alright, see, Bobbi's hit the jackpot. Take that, Triskelion cafeteria food...admittedly not that there's /much/ wrong with it, but Bobbi got out, saw the world....and got free food. Oh shee's going to put in a word about the Shawarma Palace to her superiors, that's for sure.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan reaches over, grabbing a second piece, making it to where Mockingbird gets the majority of the deserts. "Okay." She agrees, only really wanting to replace the cookie that ended up getting lost in the process of fixing the building. "Should we meet again, may it be under better circumstances."
