Aliens and Agents
Date of Scene: 25 August 2020
Location: Central Park, Manhattan
Synopsis: Peggy and Kori meet for a casual day in the park and a little chatting.
Cast of Characters: Starfire, Peggy Carter

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r is walking a pet in Central Park, nomming on a hot dog covered in mustard. Perfectly normal. With a few exceptions: Kory's orange. There's way too much mustard on her hot dog. And her 'pooch' is actually a worm of some kind. "Come on, Silkie. Get to the bench and you can have the tuna." She keeps encouraging the 'worm' to keep moving.

Peggy Carter has posed:
Finally, Steve convinced Peggy that jogging outside, in the fresh air of New York City, is far preferable to working out in the SHIELD rec room. She's not certain if she's entirely sold on the matter but it's good to do something normal. Something that feels grounding. So, the once-upon-a-time director of SHIELD is out, doing the most mundane thing she's done in a while -- a jog through central park. She's in a SHIELD tank top and black, modern capri leggings, but her hair still has that old fashioned wave to it and there's just something a bit out time about her. Maybe the fact she's still wearing make up. She looks like one of those retro instagram girls put on work out clothes but changed nothing else. Still, it's been a long time since she's just passed an alien, much less one out in the open. Her jogging slightly slows as she catches sight of Kory and that strange pet.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r finally coaxed Slkie to the bench and sits down. "That took way too long. Okay - your tuna rations are bieng cut in HALF until you are more fit," she scolds her pet as she uses her finger, glowing green, to slice open the tuna can and then dumps it on the cardboard hotdog tray that she saved, and the Silkie makes a cute but weird noise and starts to scarf it gdown. She glances over at the other woman. INteresting - she's wearing SHIELD memorabilia.

Peggy Carter has posed:
As she realizes that Kori is looking at her as well, Peggy gives a strange, but polite, red lipped smile to the orange skinned woman. Since she's been caught staring, and it's not polite to just gawk and at least not make some sort of introduction, she slows her jog and comes up to respectfully near the woman. Not close enough to seem a threat, but in comfortable conversation distance. "...I knew designer pets were all the rage in New York these days but...I must say, I think yours is the most...Intriguing I've ever seen." Her British accent clips out gently. If Kori knows any of her SHIELD history, this woman's face is all over it. Maybe she's a grand daughter?

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r smiles. "Oh, we're not from around here," she muses softly. "From out of town, per se." She smiles as she is ignorant of SHIELD history - but she does recognize the labeling. "Why don't you come join me?" she asks. "Don't mind the Silkie. Worst he'd do is drool on your shoe."

Peggy Carter has posed:
"That's what they say about new recruits but then they end up blowing something up." Peggy quips with a wry sort of smile. She's teasing. Mostly. But, with the invitation from the clear non-human, either alien or mutant, she cannot resist. She steps up and settles into a perch near the strange woman and her pet, though her attention seems mostly for Kori, trying to build what profile she can on the orange seeming lady across from her.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r smiles. "I am Koriand'r of the Titans," she states, exsending her hand. (There might be a bit of residual mustard on it.) She gazes at you. "Are you part of SHIELD or just a fan of them?" she asks. "Captain America is very dreamy..." she cooooos. She then blinks. "Wait - I've seen your face in some of the SHIELD historical videos I've seen. I tried to catch up on the other heroic groups after I landed here... can't quite remember the name. Spitting image of her - the genetics must have passed down very well over the... what? Two generations?"

Peggy Carter has posed:
As the woman mentions how dreamy Steve is, Peggy cannot help but smile a bit more. It's charming, to say the least, and endears her inches to the strange alien. She gives a firm, respectful shake to her hand, making no mention of the mustard as she very carefully brushes it off on the back of the bench. Ever the lady. "Koriand'r, it's a pleasure." Peggy manages to pronounce the name perfectly on the first try, even though the syllables are a touch strange for modern language. "Captain America is... quite the gentleman, yes. I suppose many would consider him dreamy. I worked with him too long to... well, use that exact phrase. And no, you're right...I'm Margaret Carter. I work for SHIELD now... there was a bit of a... Time... Mess. It's resolved itself."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods. "You can call me Starfire if you want. Most people find it easier to say." She smiles softly. "Ah... so you did some time travel like Captain America," she muses, nodding her head. "I'm still getting used to this world too. It's a lot different than Tamaran."

Peggy Carter has posed:
"Starfire then... and you are a... Titan? Is that the... Planet you are from? You'll have to forgive me, I'm still catching up on much of what happened in the last fifty or so years. If the Titans are a team, I haven't gotten to that file yet." Peggy admits with a slightly embarrassed little smile. She settles back a bit deeper on the bench, her shoulders pressing against wood and body turning out just a little bit so she can keep a protective, wary eye on the park even as she speaks to the other woman. "Tamaran. Ah...that's where you are from. And...might I ask, how you ended up...Here?"

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r just stares at you. "Did you ever see that strange tower in the harbor? The one that looks like the letter T? That's our headquarters." She then stares at you as you ask that last query. "You... may not," she murmurs. "The day is too beautiful to spoil with such tragedy."

Peggy Carter has posed:
"Oh... Starfire. I'm... I'm sorry. That was rude of me. I feel like I'm in so much catch up, but... that's what reading is for. I am sorry." Peggy's brow knits a touch more, her apology seemingly entirely genuine as she realizes she's quite stepped in it. She finally offers just a hint of a smile, "I have seen the tower. I have no clue who I thought it belonged to but, well...That makes sense. I suspect you all know if you ever need SHIELD's help, we are about. And vice versa, I'd guess? All just...doing our best to keep this place safe."
