Cast of Characters: Lex Luthor, Mercy Graves, Catwoman
Tinyplot: Peacekeepers

Lex Luthor has posed:
With Henry Carver in custody, cleanup is now the priority for the Council. Most of what needs to happen has been dealt with... but now... now, information that can't be gained through legal channels is required.

Dominic Carver, cousin to Henry Carver, has information on the family businesses locked away in a safety deposit box. Information L1 is paying handomely for.

Catwoman AKA Selina Kyle has been contacted via snail mail -yes, actual paper mail- with a job offer... and a number to contact should she accept the commission for the Council.

Meanwhile, Mercy is already on site, directing a team of techs and mercenaries to lay the groundwork for the infiltration... and to prepare the area in case Catwoman need a hot extraction.

Mercy Graves has posed:
The van around the corner looks utterly mundane. A little beat up, a construction company's logo on it with chipped paint so the phone number isn't even really complete. An old ladder strapped to the roof and nothing else remarkable. It's the sort of van that one's eyes just glaze past when looking at it, so mundane. And that is the point.

Inside, Mercy has the highest tech monitoring devices, hacking equipment, communications, and then like. She has a few other teams on the ground, all blending in as well as the van does, but she's the one who coordinates between them all.

Low power, private and encrypted frequency communications runs between her, the teams, and Catwoman. Her voice comes calm and professional over the sub-vocal coms. "I'm here and the teams are in place on the ground. Let me know when you need distractions or more."

Catwoman has posed:
Catwoman is on the scene, not easily visible but sticking to the shadows which is easy when your suit is entirely black. She's keeping an eye on locals coming in and out of the building, a communication device hooked up to one ear as she waits in position for the all clear.

"Catwoman in position, what's the status down there?"

Lex Luthor has posed:
A masked voice responds to Catwoman. "Midnight shift will start in five minutes. Their network has blinds and we have the patrols mapped. We just need you to get in through the vents and the laser grid." L1 replies. "We have real time exploits into their security. Go when you're ready."

In this case, the plan called for an infiltration from the roof. The vent system had a carefully prepared hole covered up that Catwoman would be aware of.

Time to go.

Mercy Graves has posed:
"I have your vital signs monitored and the exploit is ready for the moment you go in. Just say go so I can trigger the cascade. Report in if you meet an unplanned obstacle or I will keep moving the momentary blackouts with your progress. My sensors go at least fifty feet into the building, but I will need more updates after that." Mercy chimes in over the comms, though the plan had been established long before, it's worth having a refresher.

She leans over the array of readouts before her, careful to make certain she's got full readings on Catwoman and the other sensors in the building. She's got a nice cup of coffee next to her, something to help through the latest parts of the operation, but Mercy is all on task now. The beginning and the very end were the most delicate parts.

Catwoman has posed:
Catwoman nods, crouching on the rooftop, u wrapping her whip as she waits. It works well for climbing down rooftops and she crouches outside the vents, getting into position. The vents are not too big, she can just about slide in but who knows how well their security is. "Ok, I'm going in, start the cascade!"

Mercy Graves has posed:
"Top floor vents are blind now, on preprogrammed loop. Go." Mercy affirms over the comms, leaning a bit closer to the screen before her as she tracks the careful movements of the thief inside the top of the bank. She's not sure how deep her sensors will go, so she's trying to keep an even more keen eye on them to see the exact moment she loses Catwoman on her scans. "...No reaction so far to your entry. I think we're in the clear for the top floor. Progress 50 feet down the vent and there should be a drop to a lower floor."

Catwoman has posed:
Catwoman nods, peering into the vent, "Right, I'm going in.." and she slips in effortlessly, apparently used to this type of roofing system as she arches and slips her flexible body to move around the shapes of the roof vent. It's a bit of a squeeze, but she manages alright, hooking her whip to the edge to rappel down the rest of the way to the top floor.

She lands lightly, nearly completely silently and freezes a moment, eyes darting around in the darkness, her visor allowing her to see clearly in the dark. "All clear up here.." she murmurs, "Where to next?"

Mercy Graves has posed:
"There's a smaller vent that goes directly to the back area, which is where the hall that leads to the vault and boxes are. If you can get through it, we can bypass the front security. I'm working on the next cascading loop... it'll be ready to go when you're in place. Confirm when you are ready to go through." Timing is getting more tricky here, Mercy not able to see her body readings on the screen. She sets up the video loop and the infrade continued readouts, so no change in temperature is flagged either. "And...three, two... one. Go."

Catwoman has posed:
Catwoman nods and breaks out into a swift but cautious run. She doesn't wear high heels for this mission, just flat black comfy running shoes. Perfect for running in. And she's a pretty swift runner. It doesn't take her long to reach the back area, maybe only a minute or two and the layout of this floor is fairly straight forward. Hopefully the other floors are of similar design.

"Roger that, I'm in position, about to go down the second vent.." and with that she jerks on the covering grid which removes easily. Again she slides down, pressing her body against the narrow vent walls, climbing, half sliding down until she's in the ceiling of the next floor. "Okay, in position, awaiting your clear for the next floor."

Mercy Graves has posed:
"Perfect, cascade is transferring to back hallway's cameras... Now. You're cleared to go in. It should be the second door on the right and the combination cracker we supplied should manage open the door in under a minute." Mercy coaches over the comms, carefully flipping in the next set of false readings as Catwoman works through the builing.

Of course, the one thing Mercy cannot account for is human error and bladders. She has all the physical security patrols, she's timed Catwoman's infiltration perfectly. Except for a security guard's impatient bladder. Two seconds after Catwoman has jumped into the back rooms, the hall door opens and a tired guard is making his way to the restroom.

Catwoman has posed:
Catwoman nods, "Roger that.." and she again uses her whip to rappel down from ceiling to floor. It's a high jump and one she might be able to make without shimmying down her whip, but the landing would be louder. She is about to land but scans the hallway again with her night goggles and frowns.

"Hold on, I've got incoming.." she whispers and hangs on tightly to her whip, flattening herself against the ceiling as much as she can and hoping he doesn't look up. At least she's a ways down the end of the hall and wearing all black helps too.

For now, Catwoman holds her breath and waits, counting in her mind, waiting for him to enter the washroom before making her move.

Mercy Graves has posed:
The man doesn't seem to have noticed her in the least, still half asleep, drowsily strolling along. He whistles a little tune as he ducks into the bathroom and the sound of the door swinging shut past him. The hallway is quiet once more.

"Shit. No one is supposed to be on patrol for 20 minutes. Are you in the clear?" Mercy asks, her voice mostly calm over the comms, accustomed to nothing being absolutely perfect. "If you need extraction, let me know. We can get you out of there..."

But the man isn't in a panic. He just needs to heed mother nature's call. It's a good few minutes that Catwoman is up there before he strides back out and disappears down the hall again, door to the back security rooms swinging shut behind. Not a single notice given to the woman on the cieling.

Catwoman has posed:
Catwoman holds her breath a moment longer as she watches him. Oh, she could try and slip in while he's in the washroom but that would be risky if he comes out sooner than expected. "A security guard, in the washroom. Gimme a few, And no, no extraction. I got this far, I can do this.."

She waits a moment longer, about to try her luck with slipping in..And then the guard is out and leaves. She counts to ten before slipping down, landing softly in the floor and moves swiftly but carefully towards the second door.

Its locked of course but that's of no concern to the world's premier cat burglar who easily picks the lock and swings the door open to the room within. Looks like the combo cracker came in handy though. "Okay, I'm in.."

She peers around, inspecting the safety deposit boxes and of cigarettes there are quite a few. "Hmmm...Now to find the right one.."

Lex Luthor has posed:
The actual deposit box itself is easy to find, once Catwoman is in. At the far left corner of one of the walls is the one Catwoman wants. Of course, that leaves the lock to be dealt with...

The keys to which was part of the package coming in here.

Sliding the box itself out is easy enough. It's light, without too much weight to it... so there isn't anything seriously metallic, it seems. Probably has documents that L1 wants.

Mercy Graves has posed:
"You have 13 minutes until the next patrol, Catwoman. You are covered for cameras and body temperature sensing. You should be set. Let me know when you are ready for the exit." Mercy states calmly across the comms. Now that she knows the woman is in, she finally manages to reach for her coffee and take a long sip of the cold, black beverage. Her pale eyes never leave her monitors, but her hardest work is now done.

Catwoman has posed:
Catwoman glances around, remembering the briefing...Right there it is, at the far left corner. She unlocks it and grabs it easily enough, slipping it into the small backpack she carries with her, fastening the straps on her shoulders.

"Roger that, I got the package, heading back to the vent.." she replaces the box with a dummy to avoid suspicion,or at least delay it, then relocks the door, moving swiftly, lightly down the hallway and uses her whip again to snag onto the ceiling vent and climbs back up the way she came.

"Lower floor clear, on my way to upper floor.."

Mercy Graves has posed:
"Excellent work." The moment Mercy gets the news, she's sitting a bit straighter to do the same round of security camera and sensor dances she did before. It's a new set of video loops and temperature screenings, so a particularly sharp security man can't catch onto the fact that things look too much the same. Even dust in the air is slightly different to the most sensitive of cameras.

"Upper floor is on secondary loop now and clear for enterance. Tell me when you hit the final stretch. Your recovery vehicle will be here shortly as well."

Catwoman has posed:
Catwoman nods, breathing lightly now as she shimmies up the first vent, climbing through some short tunnel that takes her to the upper floor and she pauses before poking out. Just in case. "Arriving on joker floor, am I clear?" she peers through the grate, holding her breath as she scans the area with her night vision goggles for any more unexpected surprises.

Mercy Graves has posed:
One more scan is given to the area, just in case, as she sees Catwoman's bod pop back up on her sensors that cover the outside of the building. "You're clear. The roof cameras are on loop now and your recovery vehicle is at the north west corner. Gray sedan, plates 834 E4R. Excellent work, Catwoman. Always a pleasure doing business." Mercy echoes over the comms, speaking as pleasantly and clear like they just finished some coffee meeting.

Lex Luthor has posed:
Back in LexCorp Tower, Lex received a ping from Harmony that Catwoman had gotten out of the bank successfully. Hitting the intercom button to direct line to Mercy, Lex started, "Have her put the box in the trunk of the car and recover it on your way back." Lex ordered, "any complications?"

Catwoman has posed:
Catwoman nods and climbs out of the vent. It's a bit trickier climbing up than going down but she's no stranger to this. And she flings her whip with practiced precision at the second ceiling vent, grabbing onto it and climbing upwards, swinging into the second vent and kicking it open.

This one is also carefully replaced and she shimmies up the chimney like before, a bit of a squeeze but she's quite fit and flexible. The fresh air feels incredibly good once she's out, and Catwoman makes a dash for the roof's edge, using the fire escape ladder to climb down into the alley.

"I'm out, heading for the car..It was likewise a pleasure working with you, Miss Graves. I trust next time we get to meet face to face, hmm?" she purrs as she climbs down the side of the building.

Mercy Graves has posed:
"Put the box in the trunk of the car, and then you are free for the evening. The other half of the payment will be made before you are home." Mercy echoes over the comm unit, voice just a bit more relaxed as all the delicate parts of the night are done. She turns her camera onto the recovery car, ensuring that the last few steps happen, but she seems not too worried about it.

"I've given the instructions and will be bringing the box in shortly. No complications. She's a cosummate professional. I'll see you in less than an hour." Mercy chimes over the private comm, straight to Lex. Her voice is clearly pleased with the night's activities.
