Dagger has posed:
It's evening in Hell's Kitchen and the young angel of light is tucked away in the church. Her arm is still in a make-shift sling that was once a couple of t-shirts tied together. The bruising is starting to fade from her face, but she still has a few nasty gashes that are scabbing over. The Devil stopped by to lecture her about seeking out help, but she has still yet to visit the Night Nurse. She just found it hard to deal with her stupid pride.

As she sits in a pew, she is currently struggling to pull her white jumpsuit on, determined to go out into the night and track down the scum which poisons their streets. Cloak already went off on his own, having told her to stay behind, but she'll be damned if she doesn't do her part.

There is a loud wince from the girl as she tries to pull her injured arm through one of the sleeves, biting down on her bottom lip. "Come on.. just work you useless .. "

Claire Temple has posed:
While the young woman has yet to be willing to visit the Night Nurse, when the Devil told her what happened, well, Claire decided to take it into her own hands. She's dressed bland -- dark jeans, dark hoodie, dark duffle across her shoulder. Nothing to draw attention in this area of the neightborhood. She watches behind her as she goes around to that cracked open side door, trying to be certain she wasn't followed before she pushes her way in.

"It's me... Claire... don't shoot." She calls almost immediately into the room, her hands up in the darkness, but she doesn't do it until the door is shut. She's trying to not risk them or herself.

Dagger has posed:
Glancing upwards, Tandy has one sleeve in her teeth as she is trying to ease her broken arm into the other. She looks over towards the woman, then lets out a sigh as she drops the sleeve from her mouth. "Hey." She grumps out to her as she runs a hand back through her hair, then pulls her arm back into the sling.

"Let me guess, daddy told on me, huh?" She says with a pout. "I think my shoulder is broke. I got flung into a brick wall by some jackass with a sonic gun or something. Blew my eardrums out."

"I figured it'd be fine in a few days, but it's been over a week now."

Claire Temple has posed:
"...if you're calling the Devil of Hell's kitchen 'daddy' now, well, yes. But you might have bigger problems that you need a therpist to fix, not a nurse. But...I can handle the arm, at least." Claire mutters gently to her, finishing the rest of the careful cross of the room. The sibling doesn't seem to be there to threaten Claire's life for getting close so she's moving a bit less nervously than before.

The comment about a week makes her frown deeply, "You really should have come to me first. Things don't just heal without some care." She shakes her head, trained fingertips reaching out to start the most gentle exam possible.

Dagger has posed:
"I was being sarcastic. He didn't have to go to you." Tandy says with a loud sigh in her throat. "At some point I woulda came." When hell froze over most likely. Giving in, she simply lets the Nurse poke about at her as she wishes. Her right arm is hanging at an angle and her face is still green and brown from a fading bruise from when she hit the brick wall at a high velocity. She most likely had a nasty concussion.

Wincing at the touch, she furrows her brows tightly. "So, what have you been up to? How has he been doing? I haven't had a chance to go out and fight since this happened. It's driving Cloak up the wall too. So .. he'll be in your debt after this."

Claire Temple has posed:
Seeing the arm hang like that, Claire frowns a bit deeper. "First off, this is probably dislocated. It's almost an easy fix, though if it keeps doing it, you're going to need surgery because you've damaged all the tendons, especially walking around so long with it still being dislocated. It hurts likes a bitch to pop back in but...I can." Claire very carefully, trying not to pull on fractured arm so she has to do this another way, shifts her shoulder into Tandy's arm pit and the base of her palm against shoulder blade, so she can get the extension she needs without pulling on her whole arm.

"This will hurt." And then she just does it. No counting down, no bracing. Better the girl doesn't fight her.

Dagger has posed:
*POP*

Tandy lets out a loud yowl like a dying cat as she feels the shoulder snap back into socket. That is a hurt she has never felt before. Taking in a hissing breath, she closes her eyes, feeling tears spring at the corners. "Ssss. Ow." But, at least her arm can move now. Swallowing tightly, she lifts her good hand up to wipe at her face. "Thanks." She says in a glum mutter under her breath.

"That hurt like a bitch. How long will it be until I can go back out and fight?" She asks in a raspy voice as she gives a glance around the dark church. She studies the shadows for a moment, then flicks out a ball of light to let it float nearby to give them an easier time of seeing. "And what do you need from me? You know.. because you helped me and all. This isn't free, right?"

Claire Temple has posed:
Claire internally winces for the woman, though it comes across on her face too, as she knows that hurts. She takes in a slow breath, gently trying to ease Tandy's shoulder back down as to not jostle it even more. "What I need now is to see that arm, bare. I really need you to go get an X-Ray and probably an MRI, but I doubt that's possible, so... we're going to try and see how likely it is something is broken as well as dislocated. You shouldn't be fighting for *weeks*. Seriously. If something is broken and you make it worse? You'll lose use of that arm." Claire's dead serious, her nurse voice in full force now. She gives a little, dismissing wave at the question of how much, "It's free, it's fine. Just...listen to me."

Dagger has posed:
"You don't get it. Those monsters are hunting children in our streets and they're selling them to be experimented on." Tandy says with a tight voice in her throat. "Cloak and I have to save them. We have to." There is a quiver in her tone as she squeezes her good fist tightly together. "I'll do whatever it takes to get back out there. I.."

The shoulders droop from Dagger as she stares hard into the dark of the church, then lets out a low breath. "I'm scared." She breathes out in a soft whisper. "If I can't fight, I don't have a purpose. Just that stupid, broken girl that my mother always told me I'd become. Useless. Cloak needs me out there. Without me, he may kill them without my light to control his hunger."

Claire Temple has posed:
"...So, you can either fight now, for a little bit longer, and probably do permanent damage to your body that *isn't* fixable without long term surgeries, often ones that don't fully work. Or, you can take a few weeks off, let your arm heal enough you're not going to re-break it the moment you punch someone, and then get back into the fight after. That's your choice, hun. That's it. I know it sucks, but that's the truth." Claire's voice isn't over dramatic or exaggerated. She seems to be laying it all out clinically, practically.

She then helps ease that arm out of the clothing, enough that she can use her cellphone's light to look across the bruising patterns there. She's still frowning. "Maybe not broken. Definitely fractured. From the bruising, probably here... And here. Still needs two weeks splinted, in a sling, not used. Or you're likely to be permanently out of the game."

Dagger has posed:
Sighing, Tandy stares at her shoulder as if it betrayed her. "If I ever get my hands on that stupid blue bug I'll .. choke the life out of him." She says as she slumps back into the pew again. "Fine, fine .. I'll .. find .. something else to do .. I guess. Thank you, Claire. I mean it." She says softly.

"It's just been hard for Cloak and I since we came into our powers. This mission we have is the only purpose we have in life now and without it, we're just .. two homeless kids in a forgotten church. We just want to protect those who can't help themselves. We don't want to see children fall to the same fate that we did. We've seen so many kids get killed from these assholes."

Shaking her head, she lets out a heavy noise in her throat. "Maybe .. the Devil can work with Cloak instead until I am back on my feet .. or Spider Man. He owes me one."

Claire Temple has posed:
The duffle bag is set down, a metal split wrapped in gauze coming out so she can actually split Tandy's arm in a way that isn't going to cut into her skin or do long term hurt for being stuck on there. Claire's fingertips work with even, habitual expertise, testing how tight the wraps are the whole way. "...this split should be removed and shifted at least every few days. I can stop by and do that." She reassures her.

"And yes, let...let the Devil, or others, give your partner back up. You'll be back in the field soon. I promise. Here.." Once the split is set, Claire draws out some pain killers. Over the shelf, but they're extra strength. Both Tylenol and some Advil. "You can take both of these every four hours as you need. Advil should be with food. Hopefully it'll be enough to let you sleep. If there's nothing else actively broken or bleeding, that's the best I can do...but... Well, you know where to find me. Get me next time. It'll save you on recovery time." With that, Claire stands, checking over the girl one last time before she'll move back into the shadows and out to the street.
