Date of Scene: 02 November 2020
Location: 66 East 11th Street, Greenwich Village
Synopsis: Alison stops by Andrea's to talk about band arrangements for Homecoming
Cast of Characters: Dazzler, Rage

Dazzler has posed:
With Homecoming rapidly approaching, Alison has been making plans to help out with the dance. In this case, her 'help' is in the form of Dazzler, providing the music and likely a good portion of the ambience. Only after making that commitment does she remember that Dazzler is currently just a solo act. True, she just came off of a tour with Andrea, but Dazz borrowed the band.

It's with that thought in mind that Alison knocks on Andrea's door, after texting ahead. (You never know with these starlet-types!) Dressed casually in jeans, boots, an Andrea concert T-shirt, and her signature leather jacket, Alison waits.

Rage has posed:
Opening the door after freshening up, Andrea still has a bit of wet hair that is pulled behind her in a pony tail and a scrunchie. "Hey!" She calls out as she swings it open to let her in. She's wearing a pair of gray yoga pants and a black t-shirt with a silver heart on the front, and barefoot. Her toenails are painted hot pink and she is even sporting a new toe ring on her middle left foot.

"Come on in. I got coffee on and breakfast if you want pancakes and bacon. Jay made them so you know they are edible."

Dazzler has posed:
Alison smiles at the sight, stepping inside and glancing around quickly. "Hope I'm not interrupting anything, hon." she offers, perhaps looking for Jay to pop out somewhere. "And yeah, pancakes and bacon sound really good right about now." Walking right into the kitchen, she finds a plate and starts helping herself.

"So I've gotta ask a favor, Andrea. It's about the upcoming Homecoming Dance. I sort of volunteered to do the music, only I forgot that I don't really have a band anymore."

Rage has posed:
"Jay and Nevada went out for a run so it's just me at the moment." Andrea says as she follows after her. "You just missed them by about ten minutes."

As she takes a seat, she flips a pair of pancakes on to her plate, as well as some bacon, then reaches for the syrup. "You don't have a band anymore? Whaaat? Alison, you slacker." She says with a grin. "Are you here, wearing my tour shirt, as a way of buttering me up so that you can borrow mine? I actually have a better idea." She says with a wide grin.

Dazzler has posed:
Dazzler chuckles softly, offering a grin that might be considered almost sheepish in some circles. "Honestly, until you asked me to tour with you I'd thought my professional performing days were over for a while." she admits. "And yes, sorry for the shameless plug. You can take the girl out of Hollywood..."

But you can't take the Hollywood out of the girl.

"So does your better idea involve me doing something humiliating and public? Because if that's the direction you'd like to go, I -am- planning on doing the entire 'Thriller' album. In red leather."

Rage has posed:
"Trust me, the plug works. I'm totally buttered up." Andrea giggles as she blows some stray hair away from her face. "Having you on tour with me is a dream come true. It literally felt like I was opening for your concert instead of the other way around. I have literally looked up to you my entire life. I'll never take away your crown as Queen of mutant popstardom, that's for sure. I'm okay with my tiny tiara as a princess." Reaching up, she pretends to straighten one above her head.

"Anyways, no, this is not humiliating at all. Jay has a band back home in Kentucky called The Blue Pirates. I got to sing with them last week when I visited and they were amazing." She says with a quick nod of her head. She takes her phone and points it at one of her wireless speaker set ups in the kitchen and presses play.

"So, this is them. I know it's a bit country rock, but they also play normal rock and they also /love/ .. uh.. your music .. and mine." She grins. "They even know the dance moves."

Dazzler has posed:
Alison leans against a counter, slathering her whole plate in syrup before she starts in. "Awww, now who's buttering up whom?" she teases back, looking appreciative all the same. The blonde tilts her head and listens when the music starts up, almost immediately beginning to nod with the steady, driving beat.

A smile touches her lips and she looks over to Andrea. "Wait. Jay has a band back in Kentucky and you're just now telling me about it? These guys are great, Andrea." Another bite, more listening. Then the song kicks into the shout section and Dazzler laughs, nodding vigorously.

"It's gonna be a whole different take on the MJ classic, but I think they can definitely pull this off."

Rage has posed:
"He does! He doesn't play with them anymore obviously since he came to New York, but we flew back to Kentucky and they dragged us on stage to perform. I did a bunch of Stevie Nicks after they sung this for me. I was almost in tears. I literally freaked out watching Jay sing live with these guys. I mean, I've seen him sing here and at the club, but I haven't seen him sing like that before in a real band and looking like a rock star." Andrea giggles. "I was like a groupie. I lost my damn mind jumping around and screaming."

"I'm literally his biggest fan." She puffs out with a grin. "But he and I have plans that night for Homecoming so we can't be there, but I can fly his band out for you if you want. They will shit their pants. I talked to them already about them playing at Club Evo, so this works perfectly. They can do the dance, then do the club afterwards."

Dazzler has posed:
Dazzler keeps eating, one foot crossed over the other and bobbing to the music. "You'll do that for me?" she asks, brows lifting. "I can chip in, of course. I'm not totally destitute, after all. At least not after our tour." The blonde grins at that. "I really like their sound, by the way. Steady, hard, and straight-on."

Alison chuckles softly at that, but waits until she finishes the bite that's in her mouth. "Will you be needing James on Homecoming, or could I borrow him for security as well?" No idea where THAT mental segue came from, of course.

Rage has posed:
Rolling her eyes upwards and to the side, Andrea says, "Yes, you can 'borrow' James for security even though it's inside a high tech school full of superhero mutants and state of the art weaponary in the front yard." She says teasingly. "You can just say you want to take him out afterwards. It's not like I don't know."

There's a smug look on her face as she glances down at her phone as it beeps. "Speaking of tours, I am going to do Madison Square Garden in two weeks and I neeeeeed you to be ready for it. The label will send you the deets. It's going to be sold out and slamming." She hops to her feet. "I gotta take this call. Enjoy the pancakes!" She calls over as she trots down the hallway, sighing as she hits the button.

"Hey Shane! It's Andy. I'm ready to hear the proposal. I got the email this morning."
