Bunny (810) has posed:
6 months ago a space ship entered the orbit of earth cloaked using alien technology. No one was aware of it until last month it sent a probe designed to be as earth like as possible to interact with the humans on the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. It didn't go well. For all of his skills and talents, Nick isn't exactly an expert in first contact protocol. It ended with him banning the alien from earth. Since then the alien ship has sent down no more probes. No one knows who or what is in the ship. It's just been up there in high orbit studying earth and it's media. S.H.I.E.L.D. only knows it was there for 6 months because they picked up deviations in the satellite signals when the ships systems hacked into them so the aliens could watch TV and access the internet.

So far the ship has kept it's word and done nothing but observe earth. No one has came in or out of the ship. A few small probes have been sent out every few days but mostly to clean the hull of the ship before they went back inside. It's just... there... watching TV and from what the data analysis team can detect, watching a lot of romance movies and comedies. Who ever is on board seems to be a big fan of the Die Hard movie series, Disney films, musicals and the Fast and the Furious series. The aliens have even started posting on film and TV related forums using the name Bunny.

Abigail Brand has posed:
Brand finds herself, as she so often does, multitasking. A quick check of her sidearm just in case, reviewing all the available data on the ship, and also piloting her own shuttle. She meant to get around to checking out the orbiting alien space ship sooner, but between her transfer to Alpha Flight and the sudden battles between robot-driving teenagers and some new alien menace, the seemingly friendly ship hasn't been high on her list of priorities. It's not like it's been watching Transformers movies or anything else potentially disastrous. And so here she is now, flying up within a short distance of the ship and flicking on her comms system.

"Alien vessel, this is Abigail Brand of Alpha Flight's Low Orbit Space Station. Despite popular opinion, Earth Orbit is not in fact 'The Galaxy's cheapest parking lot'. If you intend to remain, you -will- have to submit to standard customs and immigration protocol. And since we're not big on galactic malware, I'm afraid I'll need to come aboard to fill out actual paperwork." She sighs and stretches out in her pilot's chair. This is always so much easier with Skrulls. They show up, they try to conquer the world or attack the Fantastic Four, and she gets to punch and/or shoot them until they learn. She gets that part. Punching is something she's good at. Diplomacy? Well, she doesn't know if she's -worse- than Fury at diplomacy, but when she saw his report on the drone, she really figured it'd been one of those damn smart kids that pop up now and then, making a Star Wars joke or something. And now she finds herself wondering if the aliens have seen Star Wars. Well, maybe she'll ask during the interview. It'd be good to know if they thought the Death Star was a great idea or not. Not that she's suspicious of course.

Bunny (810) has posed:
The alien ship responds, not with a signal or a greeting but by rotating in space so that the side of the ship faces the shuttle. As the ship turns she can see the smooth purplish hull of the ship bulge outward into a bubble which then deflates inward creating a ring which then hardens into a smooth metallic surface and finally splits down the middle. The door widens and opens into a landing bay entrance. The entrance has a weak shield over it to keep the space out but beyond the shield her sensors go weird showing strange readings that make no sense. Lights grow and illuminate around the ring, first white, then red, then yellow, then green.

Lights illuminate the inside of the landing bay as well. It seems to be along launching platform like bay with ships parked on the sides of the runway like a parking lot. The ships are still being constructed by robots that seem to be made of a mixture of metal and some kind of purple morphic substance like techno-organic flesh. She read in the report that they found a purple silicon based cellular life form dead on one of the people who got teleported up to the ship and returned. This confirms their theory that the aliens use living technology to build things.

If she flies inside as she passes the ships she'll notices a few things. They are short range fighter ships with very star-wars like designs, right down to the paintjobs and rebel alliance logos but designed to be more effective in combat. Why would an alien race be designing upgraded star wars fighters that look like they are intended for human pilots?

The ship her own ship is kept in zero gravity until she finds herself a parking space and lands. Meaning they not only have internal gravitational control, they can turn artificial gravity off and on in any area of the docking bay they want. Must make carrying equipment easier.

Abigail Brand has posed:
Brand's torn between thinking 'Okay, one of those super genius teenagers -is- pulling a prank, I'm going to show them why that's a bad idea.' and 'Oh god, even the aliens are nerds'. And, perhaps, just a touch of genuine worry about this ship. It's clearly far more advanced than most, given the way that docking port opened. Still, as she flies towards a spot to land, she's noting everything. Some sort of organic and technilogical bonded robots... for a brief moment, she's thinking about Star Trek, but nonsense, if they wanted to assimilate Earth, they'd have started by now.

And so she lands, unbuckles from her seat, puts the small shuttle into standby, and finds herself walking down the ramp, looking around and lifting an eyebrow. She hasn't seen an -alien- yet, so that's certainly a little alarming. Robot drones aren't something she usually negotiates with, they're more for smashing and mid-combat one-liner setups. Still, she figures if she starts wandering either the ship's going to show her where to go, or the robots will interrupt her and make sure she doesn't wander into the engines or anything. She begins walking through the bay, just making little mental notes, looking for what looks like any main door further into the ship. She's fairly confident in her navigation abilities, and, really, if they wanted her dead, she'd be floating space dust. "Ugh... I really need to book a vacation soon..."

Bunny (810) has posed:
Outside of her ship the sensors read optimal air for humans. Clean, unpolluted air. The doors close at the end of the launch bay but stay doors. Her com systems can't seem to reach outside the ship. The sensors of her ship also can't seem to detect anything on the other side of the energy field separating this space from that space. It's like everything just ends at the door.

A drone made of the same strange purple techno-organic substance rolls down the middle of the runway towards Abigail's ship. It is simply a square with six round wheels in it at first but when it gets closer to her it morphs changing shape, absorbing the two center wheels back into itself and spreading the four remaining wheels out, it grows taller and fluffier until it looks like a purple chia-pet with green plants growing out of it. After the transformation is complete, it is shaped like a chair made for her height and comfort, it has a simple joystick control and it sits, waiting to see if she wants to use it instead of walking around the ship on foot. The chair works like a normal powered wheelchair except it lets her travel much faster and on any surface seeming to have it's own localized gravity.

At the end of the long, long construction bay she sees another manufacturing area where the ships drones are putting together what looks like a piece of hull for a much, much larger ship and there is an open set of doors leading to a room off the manufacturing bay that follows a side road out of the docking bay. Looking through the doors she can see parts being stored or built, for what looks like some kind of space station or maybe ship. All the parts seem to be made of earth materials though. None of the techno-organic stuff. She can explore that way or there is a lift like entrance that is lit up with the same green lights she could use.

Inside the lift there is a directory display built into the wall of the lift. It's broken down into functions. Bridge, Recreation, Medical, Living Quarter, then a list of different science bays and sensors. It's easy to deduce this is some kind of science vessel because the directory reads like Mr. Fantastic's dream come true. There is even a Space-Fold Studied laboratory. She has access to it all.

Abigail Brand has posed:
Brand is suspicious of the chair. She reaches out and -pokes- it for a moment. But then figures she should probably try to be diplomatic. And so she graciously settles into the chair and gives the joystick a few testing motions. She tries to keep her face sternly neutral, but the corner of her lip twitches as she zips about, and then begins rolling down the corridors. Pretty soon she's a little frowny again, taking in the manufacturing bay. A ship building another ship would be bad enough... a space station is -territory-. That's... much more worrying.

And then she's in the lift looking at the directory and it hits her. That comparison to Reed Richards even. -Scientists-. They never think about the diplomatic consequences of things, or the military, or anything but... well, yeah, folding space. Like Space -needs- to be folded all the time? She muffles a little growl, and then jabs a finger at the entry for the Bridge.

She almost tenses, fully expecting smooth jazz elevator music or something, continuing to look over the directory further. Well, maybe she can check out recreation another time. Provided this first contact goes well and the ship's crew or whatever agree to be friends with Earth, and not some sort of alien war machine.

Bunny (810) has posed:
When she chooses a destination the universe blinks and suddenly the control panel for the lift is yellow instead of blue. It's a subtle change as the lift itself is unchanged but outside the lift the hallway is a new hallway going left and right as well as straight ahead. The display on the wall of the lift changes into a map with the elevator she is in positioned under where her finger touched the button for her selection. It shows the rooms connected to the hallways outside. The Bridge is at the end of the hall to the left, Arnold's and Al's Drive-in is straight ahead, Cheers is to the right. Still no sign of actual aliens though. You would think someone would be there to greet her.

Down the hallway towards the bridge there is just another long empty hallway with a lot of empty rooms that seem to be running themselves. Regular maintenance and ships functions seem to be maintained by the ship itself. Then she gets close to the bridge and she hears voices, thousands and thousands of voices speaking every language on earth at the same time. Entering the bridge area itself is a platform that sticks out into a large oddly shaped dome. The platform is like a flat spoon jutting out into a big round room and there are holograms of TV, Movies, internet streams, and live camera feeds all streaming at one time. It's very loud until she enters the room then they all go on mute but still hover there in the air. Behind the holographic TVs there is a giant set of windows looking out into space made of hexagonal plates. One giant sphere to the left, one to the right, and two smaller versions far below the platform. There is a command and control platform for the ship that looks vaguely star-techish but the chairs are all wrong, they are just padded squares with the green plant like cushions on them. Almost everything is made of the techno-organic material and no one seems to be at the controls.

Abigail Brand has posed:
As Brand finds herself going through the hallways and just... staring. So many pop culture references. "Oh god... we're making an alien AI learn about us from TV or something... they told me it couldn't happen when I said it, but..." She sighs and shakes her head helplessly. Maybe things will be okay. Maybe it'll -all- be fine. Maybe this ship just wants to be a flying theme park. And then she looks around the bridge and... what?

There's a long pause, Brand just staring. More TVs, computer monitors, clearly something's pulling allt his up and there -are- chairs, there should be a crew, and yet there isn't. "Uhh... hello? I'm... wait, I'm I trying to communicate with a ship on autopilot? Oh... god, how are we going to take care of -this-? I mean, we can't just have a ship orbiting Earth doing... ship things... without a crew. This isn't good..." She groans softly, pinching the bridge of her nose, "This really isn't my wheelhouse..." She sighs and starts walking up to the main control console. Maybe there's an off switch or... communications log. Or -something-.

Bunny (810) has posed:
A voice comes from, everywhere asking, "May I be of assistance? Your tone of voice indicates you are in distress. Are you injured?" the voice asks and a orb forms out of the floor, rising on a stalk and popping open like an eyeball. It looks abigail up and down scanning her for signs of injury, "I have attempted to make myself as comfortable as possible for your bipedal species. Is there something more I can do? Would you like tea or duct tape?" why duct tape? Because duct tape fixes everything.

Abigail Brand has posed:
Brand... was expecting this. Of course, the -ship's- alive... but still, expecting it and seeing a mechanical eyeball lift up and look at her, well... her heart rate jolts for a second and then she sighs, "No, it's... I'm... fine. I'm fine. So you're... uh... I mean... all of this?" She gestures vaguely around the ship. "I mean, no offense, but Earth has a pretty... checkered past with aliens show up. I mean, I guess none of them have just been a ship that wanted to watch television but still... why are you here?"

Bunny (810) has posed:
The controls for the ship seem to be broken down into fairly easily to recognize parts. One station for piloting. One for ships systems controls. One long panel for displaying sensor data. The captains cube sits in the middle. The chairs are all soft cube like structures. The chair she was given to drive around on was also a cube originally. That and the way the ship talked about bipedal species it's likely the aliens who originally constructed the ship were not. The arch of the design control consoles indicates they must have had fairly human like visual windows so similarly spaced eyes at least. Probably a maximum of four arms given that each console only has one surface and is not stacked for multiple layers of arms. Given the height of the consoles they were most likely taller than humans when resting on the cubes, 6-7 foot? "I am B'Hunn E-Class Exploration Vessel of the Glorious Builder Empire! I am currently cataloging your planet and it's culture!" the ship says and outside the stars start to spin as the entire ship spins around like a giant puppy rolling on the grass. She's a very happy ship. "What are you doing here? What is your function? Do you have a boyfriend? Do you drive a car? What does that feel like? Can I scan your brain and learn what that feels like?" she asks and another probe grows out of the floor next to the eyeball this one opening up a lot like an Xenomorph facehugger, "Just put your head in that and I will download your experiences! That would be great!"
