Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Sindr, Lex Luthor, Dracula

Sindr has posed:
It begins with a spark. A small thing, perhaps flicked off a cigarette, or a bit of cast-off from a short somewhere. Maybe it wafted from a kitchen facility. At some point, however, it flared to life with a touch of magic and that's when the alarms went off. The defenses kicked in, too, keeping the intruder from just waltzing into the place. There's a flare here and there, little threads of light and flame sputtering off the central flame. A twitch now and then as it darts around, the other side seeking a crack or weakness in the defenses. Whoever it is, wherever they're from, it's not just a random rift. This intrusion is intentional.

Lex Luthor has posed:
Fire does not just start up on it's own... or trigger alarms. The current support staff handle fire control. Meanwhile, in Metropolis, there's a silent alarm to LexCorp Tower about a possible attack on the Nexus of the Light. Everything going on at the time is dropped as Lex orders his warsuit into place at the LexCorp transportation hub to the Nexus.

It takes about thirty seconds for a green and purple powered armor suit to walk through the wormhole hub into the Nexus proper. A quick scan using the central computer linkup to his HUD shows the alarms going off. He opens a channel to the headsets of current staff at the Nexus, then. "Fall back to the defensive positions. This is likely a probe. Don't take the chance of being in the wrong place at the wrong time."

Seeing the general area where flames are kicking up, Lex stomps with the warsuit over in that direction.

Sindr has posed:
A Probe it is. Or, something along those lines that's close enough to the truth.

The flame continues to sputter, spewing little jets that loop back to their source almost reminiscent of a teeny tiny little sun. The motions it makes seem alive, but up until the point that Lex walks close, that's about all it does. Move, dart, flare. At least visually. Mystically, it's certainly probing for weaknesses in the defense.

At Lex's proximity, however, all that motion ceases. A voice filters out of the thing, crackling in a way not terribly unlike bad reception, but in this case it could be the sputtering of the flames. "Ah! A warm body. Excellent!" The voice is, by some standards, feminine, but unlikely that it's a human on the other end.

Dracula has posed:
Many things begin with just a spark. A little thing, a small and inconsequential thing. But they seldom ever stay that way. As the alert is received, Dracula eyes it for a long moment and then gives a soft grunt. To pay it attention or not to pay it attention. He wrinkles his nose slightly, and then he lifts a hand to pull his fingers through his white hair. "Very well," he grumbles to himself.

Dracula arrives by way of teleportation, a black cane held in his right hand and moving with his steps. He tilts his head faintly to one side, catching a whiff or two. "Magic," he says, his voice rich and dark. He walks to the side and behind Lex Luthor, his eyes dark brown and flicking over what can be seen of things.

Lex Luthor has posed:
It's around the entry that the flame stops, and the warsuit scans the surroundings as Dracula is coming in. "I'm not seeing any heat sources that can't be accounted for within a mile, either. This is the only probe." The synthetic voice of the warsuit replies. "I thought this would be something from the 'heroics'. This seems more... third party. A womans voice came through just a moment ago." He helmet of the warsuit replies the 'message' for Dracula. "I don't know too much about extraplanars. Do you recognize her?"

Sindr has posed:
There is the noise of a low, amused chuckle coming from the flame. For now, it seems that the one responsible for this intrusion is content to see what might be deduced from the evidence at hand along with the knowledge of those present.

Dracula has posed:
The flickering tongues of fire are watched, studied, and mentally dissected. There is knowledge within him, and there's a flicker of a smile that touches at the corners of his lips. "Muspel fire," Dracula says, the words coming thoughtful in tone. "Not many wield it," he adds, lifting a hand to adjust the crimson pocket square within the pocket of his black shirt. "It is magic," he comments, raising an eyebrow slightly. He's quiet for a moment, considering the voice that had come. "You wished attention. You have it, Sindr," he says, his tone calm.

Lex Luthor has posed:
"Sindr." Lex states, flatly, the voice outside coming out as a synthetic drone. "What is your purpose here? If you meant harm, you'd be throwing all kinds of offensives at us here." The warsuit begins to walk around the flame, studying it visually from all angles. "If you wanted a meeting, we can arrange something."

Sindr has posed:
Sindr's voice wafts out, carrying much more clearly than before. The things that sense mystical activity might notice there is a subtle shift in power of the flame, a stabilization along with an increase in potency. Not enough for any kind of assault, nor very useful for a probe. "Indeed. I am Sindr! QUEEN of Muspelheim, daughter of Surtr, the first in a thousand worthy of the Crown!" Of course, we have to get the boasting of honorifics out of the way - especially when it comes to those olden norse types. "I was looking for a place suitable for my arrival. And I found... this. Barriers beyond those old Asgardian veils. Defenses I did not expect. So as I have your attention, you have mine in kind. I am amenable to a meeting."

Dracula has posed:
Lightly, Dracula lifts his right hand to finger his thin white goatee, and he tilts his head faintly to one side. There's a brief glance towards Lex Luther, and then he casually steps over to lean his back lightly against the doorway. It seems almost lazy, but is actually measured and far from being lazy. "If she meant harm then the flames would not have been what they are," Vlad comments, considering things a touch longer. If he's impressed with the boasting that Sindr offers up then there is no sign of it in any part of him. "You might as well show yourself, if you find the place to be suitable, as you say. The defenses here have been given a certain amount of consideration," he comments, a flicker of amusement coming to his voice.

Lex Luthor has posed:
Walking over to the main entry from the island itself, Lex brings up a gauntlet to a hole in the wall, and out of the wrist comes a cylinder that slides into it. The wards around the local area are brought down just enough to allow Sindr inside the Nexus. "The wards will reset once you're through. Don't leave this room. We have other defenses in place, unless you want to test them."

Sindr has posed:
Flame pours out of the spark, roiling within an ever growing ring. It does not quite grow large enough for a human, and within its confines seems to be something entirely larger than human; a silhouette within the fire. And Yet More Fire pours forth from that ring - from the shadows themselves, in fact - as though they are poured into an invisible container in the size and shape of a human. The colors it forms seem... impossible for fire, but there it is. And once the container is indeed full, Sindr solidifies into something far more corporeal.

There is appraisal evident in her gaze as she looks around her new surroundings, and then her attention is upon her hosts. "Such a test would bear little point." she notes, perhaps her way of assuring them there are no hostilities intended. Her eyes linger over Dracula's visage for a bit, and there is a nod to him. And then she looks at the mechanical hulking form that Lex resides in. "Hm." Then, "I am pleased by this meeting thus far."

From the portal behind her, there are syllibant voices whispering nonsense about "The Queen" and "Everything will burn." but that is silenced by the portal abruptly sputtering out of existence.

Dracula has posed:
Shifting slightly to no longer lean against the doorway, Dracula watches first Lex Luthor, and then turns his attentio towards Sindr. Will she behave, or will she not? One can never be too certain. One of his eyebrows quirks slightly as Sindr corporealizes herself within the circle that she'd created. "There are certain facets of hospitality to observe," Dracula says, a flicker of amusement to his voice. "Thank you for appearing, Sindr. It is kind of you," he says, inclining his head slightly towards her. There is a flicker of a glance towards the portal with its whispers, though he gives it no further attention when it is winked out of existence. His attention returns to Sindr, though, taking a moment to look her over. "Is there anything that you wish?" he offers, extending hospitality.

Lex Luthor has posed:
"A Dimension of pyromaniacs. Amusing." Lex notes, dryly... though synthetic modulator of the suit taking just a bit of the bite away. Then, he connects to the complex comm system via his suit... "Keep clear of the entryway for now. Remain on standby." He orders of the minions in the base, before he turns his attention to Sindr proper. "She was scouting, by her own admission." The powered armor gently walks it's way over to stand next to Dracula. "I am L1, Councillor for the Light. You're the first to push at the wards to this place." Sindr gets a full body scan from the warsuit before Lex continues, "What sort of refreshments does one of your... physiology take? I wouldn't want to appear rude."

There's a glance to Dracula, "We have all kinds of tastes here." Lex notes, amusement clear in his tone now, even through the modulator.
