Synopsis: Thor recruits Hela
Cast of Characters: Hela, Thor

Hela has posed:
It was a pretty regular thing for Hela to visit New Asgard. Not to see her family. Honestly, she rarely cared about her brothers. Though they were blood, she had not been raised with them and their attachment was minimal at best. And this New Asgard was not the one she had known so rule of it? She left that to the next in line. Now if it was their old home, things might be different. She may make a bid to rule then. But for now, they were safe from her aspirations.

Yet, she was here usually once a week. Not at the castle. It was on the training fields with the Ambassador from Australia. She'd been training him for some time now in the ways of an Asgardian warrior. He had been a friend to Thor during his time on Midgard and she had taken a liking to the human on their first meeting. When he dared accept her hand after she announced herself as the Goddess of Death. That took bravery.

Now she was sitting having a meal though before departing back to her own dealings.

Thor has posed:
"Again you darken our halls without the common courtesy to announce yourself," The rumbling voice is heard before the burly figure is seen, though there is not a seriousness to the words, instead there is idle joviality that heralds the man's arrival.
And when he does arrive himself it is Thor, God of Thunder, who swoops into the seat opposite her at that table and rests there with his fingers interlaced. "I had been meaning to have words with you, Hela." There's a tilt of his head as he looks to the side, at the training field some small distance away and then back to her.
"We have returned Bor's Shield to the halls of our family, and likely will use it as we can to repair the Bifrost. I would have you use what magic is available to you to strengthen it, if you feel such would be wise." Which, in a way, might indeed be wise. But also might show a touch of trust given.

Hela has posed:
"Why should I announce myself to you?" Hela asks simply as she picks up a piece of venison with her fingers and pops it in her mouth. With her, it is difficult to tell if she's kidding. She might be. Or she might be completely serious that she doesn't give a damn about such decorum, even though he is King.

And she has plausible deniability if he takes offense.

She wipes her fingers on a napkin and leans back to look him in the eye. When he mentioned meaning to have words with her. But it isn't as bad when he continues.

She was a little surprised he was asking for her help. Of course, her or Loki? She'd pick her too. "I would be glad to assist Asgard in this way. I will need a little time. A day?"

Thor has posed:
Her answer as to why she should announce is a gruff harumph that is given as he leans forward and considers what pieces of venison might lie uneaten though he does not avail himself of any bits of it quite yet, instead he lifts his chin and murmurs, "A day would serve, it is already very durable, the Uru-Metal is unharmed from when Surtur met his fate, but the energy we seek to channel through it in the future... is great indeed."
That said he leans to the side and smiles a little, "So." He begins...
There's a pause as he seems to let a few words wrangle through his thoughts before he gives them voice, "Yourself and Daryll seem to be spending a fair amount of time together."
Then, as if to punctuate those words he quirks an eyebrow.

Hela has posed:
"A day should be sufficient. I will do my best to strengthen it."

Then the conversation moves on and she catches the expression. She smirks faintly. "When you first brought him here, we met. He showed courage, despite his lack of training. I felt he should learn our ways. He was amenable." She picked up another piece of venison but didn't take the bite yet.

"He has shown considerable talent with the axe. I was...surprised."

Thor has posed:
Thor looks to her for a time, then he repeats the name. "Daryll?"
    A beat.
    "Indeed?"
But then his eyebrows climb as he seems to mull matters over. His head turns to the side as he seems to ponder his own internal monologue as he weighs the facts of the matter. Then gives a small shrug as if he settled it on his own with no need for further input from her. "Well, be that as it may. I am glad. He looks better, seems to be taking to it somewhat."
Then he spreads a hand to the side somewhat, "However, if he ends up ill-used I will be most displeased." He looks to the side and then chooses to avail himself of a piece of venison and tears it in twain to eat a small strip of it.
"He is an innocent soul, he knows not our ways entirely, and he is... fragile."

Hela has posed:
"His physical form has improved," Hele agrees which is as close as she's getting to complimenting his looks. But then she recognizes what he is insinuating. She arches her own brow.

"He's a human. I am the eldest born of Odin. I will not be lowering myself to such things." Which is implying she thinks that Thor's relationships with humans in the past were beneath him status.

"I am helping better him. Nothing more."

Thor has posed:
Another bite of venison and Thor says easily enough, "More's the better then." Wait is he pleased she said she wouldn't lower herself so? It seems he is. He slaps his hands upon the tabletop and then pushes himself to his feet, rising easily and shifting his cloak over his shoulder.
"Tomorrow then, I will see you and we will take a look together at Bor's Shield, I will value your advice then and together perhaps we can put this one small facet of Asgard back to rights."
That said he smiles, an open and fair thing as he nods to her, then lifts a hand as if making ready to depart. Which he is.

Hela has posed:
"This small facet. It would be good to work on more after. Bring her back to her glory." Hela watches him rise to his feet, preparing to depart. "I will return tomorrow."

Then she pops that piece of venison into her mouth. No reason to rush her meal. It was bad for the digestion.
