Questions For Sayyed
Date of Scene: 21 June 2021
Location: Chatham, NJ
Synopsis: Tim questions a suspect.
Cast of Characters: Jericho, Red Robin

Jericho has posed:
Jeffrey Stephen Sayyed and his wife Hazel Wellington Sayyed are both being held at the Morris County Detention Center in Chatham, New Jersey while they await trial for the murder of their own sister Annabel Josephine about a month and a half ago.

If Tim wanted to speak to either or both of them, he could have asked Detective Barclay to get him authorization, or pulled his own strings. After all, he does likely have some clout with the police.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake is there at the prison and makes sure to talk to them one at a time, seems even the Bats follow some of Gibb's rules at times. He steps in alone, first to speak to the hosband. He stands there quietly at first watching the man's reactions.

Jericho has posed:
Jeffrey is sitting in the interrogation room, his hands locked into cuffs chained to the table. He looks...terrible. Disheveled, depressed...despairing, really. He's been crying, although he's probably wiped his face a lot in an attempt to hide this fact.

When Tim enters, he looks up, and actually starts to look a little bit hopeful at the sight of one of those 'hero' types. "Please...tell me you're here to help..." he says desperately.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks to the man and says "It all depends on some things. If your innocent I hope to, but I am here to find out exactly what happened. I need you to answer some questions for me."

Jericho has posed:
The man perks up a bit at this. "O-of course...Robin, right?" he asks. "Anything, I'll tell you everything I know, I swear. Th-they already used a polygraph on me. You can ask!" he says, pointing at the door as if to indicate those outside who have already questioned him. "I loved Anna as much as I loved my wife Hazel, I c-could never hurt her..." his voice begins to tremble.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks to the man and says "Ok, I want you to start with what you did the week before the incident, I want to know every step you can remember." He does put his recorder on subtly so he can go back and listen to the interview later.

Jericho has posed:
"Right, right, the week before--okay." Jeffrey rubs his temple, thinking back several weeks. He exhales slightly and begins.

"The week before, it was a pretty normal week. Work Monday through Friday at the office, Hazel at home with the kids taking them to school and to track and soccer and all that jazz...Hazel and I went to Tyler's soccer game on Friday before Anna was supposed to get here for the weekend. It was the first time his school had reached the regional finals so it was an important game. They won, and the coach decided to let the kids party at his vacation cabin in celebration so we let them go have fun. We headed home and I got the guest bedroom ready for Anna while Hazel started in on dinner, because she was going to join us for dinner. She got in just fine, we had dinner--it--it was a beautiful time. We watched a movie. We went to bed. Anna went to the guest room. I..." he begins to get emotional but tries his hardest to hold back tears.

"That's where I don't remember any more! The next thing I know it, she--she's gone. Hazel didn't seem to have any idea where she could have gone...and then s-she was dead..." Mr. Sayyed turns away slightly, trying to hide his face from this relative stranger.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will ask for details, the names of the coach, who they played, what time was the last time he remembered, what time it was when he "awoke". If there was anything strange on the way to or from the soccer game, looking for any small hidden details the man may have forgotten.

Jericho has posed:
Jeffrey would give the names of the coach and the teams playing, although they aren't of any specific significance other than this was a pretty significant game for both schools and there had been quite a few people there. "It was at the Field of Dreams, a property owned by Tyler's school near our house where they've got a baseball diamond, tracks, soccer and a football field. Lot of people there that day, probably one of the biggest games of the school year. Probably helped that the weather was perfect."

"The last thing I remember is going to bed on Friday night. Then, next thing I know, I wake up on the sofa in the living room, and it's Sunday morning. I was spooked, but the worst thing was finding out Anna was missing..."

A shake of the head. "That's what I've been telling everyone who comes in here, Robin. They all asked if anything weird or unusual or strange happened before the blank, but there was nothing. Nothing that I noticed, anyway--maybe Hazel noticed something..."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and says "And no flashes of memory or odd dreams since all of this happened? Tell me about any dreams or Dejvue or anything like that you have had since then." He will set the computers to get any footage they have of the game and the trips there and back home.

Jericho has posed:
"No, I..." Jeffrey starts to protest, but then he stops. "Well...all right. W-when I saw the knife they found in her...I did have a brief flash of deja vu." he admits. "I mean i-it was our knife, I won't lie--it was from the kitchen. Of course I'd used it before, of course I remembered holding it. I--" he puts his head in his hands.

"God...what's happening to me? I must have been drugged, but they didn't find any traces in my blood! Please...tell me you'll get to the bottom of this. I swear to god it wasn't me and if it was I wasn't myself!" he insists.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks to the man and says "Ah will be working on it, I can not promise I will find anything but I will look." He admits to the other man. I need to talk to your wife and see if she remembers annything
