A really late supper!
Date of Scene: 26 June 2021
Location: Fred's Diner - Mutant Town
Synopsis: Just your regular post midnight chat at the diner.
Cast of Characters: Sarah Connor, Cannonball

Sarah Connor has posed:
Sarah wasn't pleased with her afternoon. It niggled you the wrong way, probably because she had said more than she intended to. After checking John, and leaving him to Cameron's fine (ha!) care she made her way over to Bushwick, to a late night diner where she wouldn't stick out.

A coffee cup in hand, pie is on the way. She sat and thought about this afternoon.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie comes walking in for a late meal, the staff at the club had gotten their job done early so, he came here to find food. The young man waves to the waitress as he walks over to the bar to have a seat. "Tea tonight." He tells the waitress and she nods giving him a smile.

Sarah Connor has posed:
A tea.

Already Sarah had formed an opinion about the man who had ordered the tea. Probably an upper crust wanna be. Or maybe a thinking man. She bets he holds his pinky out when he drinks it, even though it probably is in the same cup as a coffee.

At this hour, both of them were taking their chances on getting to sleep in the next few hours.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles as his sweet tea is brought to him, and looks over to the waitress "Thanks Mary." He says and looks over the menu a moment, and says "Can I get a steak, egg, and cheese sandwich, and a side of hash browns." He offers her a smile and as she writes it down he says "Thanks." He looks around the place absently as he waits for his food, seeing a new face he offers a nod and a friendly smile.

Sarah Connor has posed:
Sarah tries to smile. She really does, except it doesn't make it out that way. Sorta has a grimace wrapped up in a pseudo-smile. Not the best look for her. Still, she tried.

Mary gave her her pie.

"Thanks. Would it be crazy to order some fries after I just ordered some pie?" Since hearing his order her stomach growled.

*Now* she looked guilty, telling the man, after the waitress had gone, "Your meal sounded so good I got fries."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie chuckles a bit softly and says "The food here is very good, and your at a dinner, no rules about what order you have to eat your food here. Ah don't think Mary would be upset if you order another pie and a burger after that he offers. "One of the better places around for late night grub/ Not quite the waffle house, but I like it.

Sarah Connor has posed:
The edges of her mouth gave a tiny smile. "I prefer these sorts of places. More anonymous. You know?" She thinks and nods, "Hey miss? Mary? Make it a hamburger plate."

Mary just shakes her head, but adds it for the cook to get on with it.

"You," Sarah tells Samuel, "Are a bad influence. I wouldn't be surprised if you got a portion of the tips." She is joking, of course.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie chuckles a bit and shakes his head and says "Na, Ah just make sure to let the bands know when they play at the club, that if there looking for food after the club closes, this is one of the best places to get it." He grins and says "Ah think Ah may get extra helping on my fries or hash browns though cause of it.

Sarah Connor has posed:
Sarah laughs - she can laugh apparently. "So, you manage bands?" That or he manages the club. Either/or.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "The club, I do a live music night once a week, and try to get local talent in with an occasional band from father out, trying to get them hype and a chance of making it.

Sarah Connor has posed:
So she was right. Gods, it's been half her life since she had stepped into a club. Literally.

"Say, are they filled with young people making out? And the occasional middle aged man trying to look cooler than he was." Sarah remembered that.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie chuckles a bit and says "Well we are an all age club, but yea we generally have majority 17 to about 27 I would say. We got decent security so don't have much trouble with creepers or such, between security and our location, we get more folks who actually want to have a good time.

Sarah Connor has posed:
"Don't worry, I'm not looking for a new place to hang out." Sarah was definitely not looking. "Just wondering if they had changed since I last saw the inside of one."

Everything had changed. She wouldn't even know how to behave anymore.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over and says "Ah aint worried about it, as long as your not starting trouble your more than welcome.
