Synopsis: A timely arrival and intervention by Kinsey keeps an attempt at returning
Cast of Characters: Gigas, Kinsey MacKenna

Gigas has posed:
Knowhere is no stranger to..well..strange things. This is a big galaxy after all and a station where anything can be found and anyone can by or sell anything. Or so the belief goes.

That doesn't make the current happenings in one particular larger section of the Marketplace any less bizarre even by local standards.

There's a huge blue guy here. By huge we mean..someone dreamed up what an planet breaking asteroid hewn into the shape of a gargantuan muscled humanoid might look like. By blue we mean blue albiet with varying shades of purple partially cast by the occasional tendrils of odd energy surges that move up and down his prodigious physique. By guy he's..yeah he's a guy. He's also carrying what -looks- like a beat up looking one man transport ship of some sort. Shouldering it with its cockpit crushed up against his monstrous shoulders and the tail end of the thrusters lurching high above the local tents, buildings and outcroppings that make up this section of the marketplace. He doesn't seem to be..happy..being engaged in an arguement of some sort with an insectoid looking alien that chatters on at him in some language that is somehow understood by the responding goliath.

"Yes, yes. I heard you. No refunds! But it's broke! I didn't get anywhere before having to tow it back myself! We had a deal!" complains Gigas with his booming irate voice rattling the nearby walls and shaking the hurrying bodies of nearby market goers.

The insect chatters back. The giant responds, "Yes. Tow it back. By hand! Listen....I want to speak with your manager!"

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
Once she had almost got Quill to, at least, try her, Kinsey wandered around Knowhere. Really, she wasn't the type to *gasp* and clutch at her non existent pearls. In fact most of her friends from the Projects probably did just the same as these folks, only without the different types of races. And with mutants, even then it was close.

She had been walking around, when she overheard.. '..listen.. I want to speak with your manager!'.

This could be interesting. She held back, but was close enough to listen.

Gigas has posed:
"What do you mean he's not available! I'm not leaving until you get them here. I am a paying customer!"

More chitters and chatters and Gigas rears his head back with a mortified expression on his face. "..How could you.."

The giant looks away as the ship creaks noisely overhead, teetering back and forth and looking rather precariously perched in the giants grasp. It's tonnage looming overhead ominously. Finally Gigas frowns, eyes flaring.

"Alright, fine! I'll just leave it here, with you in your cart!"

With that the giant reaches up and grips hold of another area of the side of the ship and he pulls, beginning to tear at the dumpster of a transport. There is a horrible whining sound of metal being crushed and crumpled. Glass shattering, sparks flying and people scattering as the behemoth begins to pull the ship down and crush it, rolling it up violently and compressing it into a huge scrap of metal in a feat of strength that is quite terrifying to behold to those not used to such thing..and possibly even if one is considering the size of the guy and the way his body begins to slowly envelop the crumping vechicle.

The insect cowers at this and begins rapidly trying to bag up its belongings as Gigas continues balling the scrapped ship up, forming a massive boulder sized pile of debris which shoots out sparks and sprays various oil like fluids. "There! Is this better??"

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
Oh god.

None of her friends did this.. unless you could equate a Ford on four cement blocks, then yes, her friends did something like it.. several times.

"Excuse me," Kinsey stepped out of the shadows. "Can I help?"

Kibou, her Blue Lantern ring, gave warning. ~I don't think that's a wise thing to do. People here have their own way of doing things.~

~Hush. If I'm not mistaken, he's a crewmate. And probably getting himself in more trouble.~ Which nobody needed.

Gigas has posed:
"Hmm?"

He's easily distracted at least. Gigas pauses in his demolition of his own goods and turns slightly to look over to Kinsey in surprise.

The 'insect' takes this moment to begin rapidly burrowing away into the ground, disappearing quickly with a plume of rubble bursting up to show the rapid pace of its departure.

"Aawww!" Gigas sees this and for about half an instance looks ready to go after the critter..and then he just sighs and frowns, pursing his lips in frustration and then finally acceptance as he now balances the balled up ship in a single hand and looks it over, letting the various fluids drench his hands and the ground infront of him. Fortunantely none of the sparks seem to be causing any explosions so nothing seems flammable. At least right now.

"No, no.." he finally rumbles, "I just made a bad deal is all. This is why I should have never fired my agent." At this he turns and fully fixates his gaze down upon Kinsey. "Hmm...hello."

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
"Perhaps you have gotten the best of the deal now? It looks like it, anyways." Kinsey tries to keep a straight face, as she points out the ship that he has crumpled. "It's going to take alot to manpower to get it in shape again."

*If*

That was the question.

"If I'm not mistaken your Gigas, correct? And no, you don't know me, but we have a fried in common." She has to laugh as she repeats, "Star-Lord?" She nods. "Him. I don't think there are many.. uh.. goliaths out there that know him." At least she *thinks* he's Gigas.

Gigas has posed:
"Hmm..well I was hoping to make an exchange. You see, this turned out to be quite the clunker and I could not use it to accomplish a tow job and my normal ship is undergoing repairs.."

Gigas blinks a few times and then his mouth slowly pulls into a full toothed grin. Teeth big and looking ready to grind bones as he grins down at Kinsey.

"Ooooh! Star-Lord! Yes. Quite daring. A bit reckless. Good pilot. He ows me some profits but he keeps pretending like he doesn't know what I'm talking about."

The giant tosses the balled up wreckage over his shoulder, letting it thunder powerfully into the ground behind him, cratering it with its weight as he continues without much thought to it.

"Yes..yes..I am Gigas. That is a good enough name for me as my true name is to hard to explain and have you pronounce. How is it you know Star-Lord?"

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
"I suppose I could help you with your tow job. One time." Kinsey winks. "Really, I think you have told them off quite emphatically. As for Star-Lord, I'm afraid you may have to take it up with him. I don't find it a good thing to pick one friend over another."

She shrugs with a grin. "Only just met him, to tell the truth. Something about the Brood and the Shi'ar. I was curious, so I introduced myself. I don't really think he likes me, but a friend in need, or something like that."

Then in case he wondered *why* Star-Lord would ask her to help, especially if he isn't sure about this strangely normal human.. "I am a Blue Lantern. Trust me, you could use my help." Well, Quill can.

Gigas has posed:
It's entirely possible that Gigas is both seeing and explaining this from a completely lopsided point of view with not more then a few inaccuracies but he's also quite possibly not even aware of his own confusion reagrding these matters.

"Oooh..it's fine. Both the towing and the profits owed. I managed the tow myself by hand. Though I also had to drag this ship. As to Star-Lord..well..I'm simply considering it part of his tab for now."

The rest of her statement does further peek his interests and he inclines his head and then leans over and crouches down to get closer to her head height, looming in like some sort of tree bending over, "A Lantern! How impressive! Hmm..yes.. The Brood is a problem. Quite a serious one. One for everyone. Even for The Lanterns if things any further out of control. I am thinking your assistance is well appreciated and timely."

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
"You're a very big.. person." Crouching beside her she has noticed this. Even more so than standing beside her.

"I probably shouldn't, but I would like to see his reaction to that." Kinsey really shouldn't, really she shouldn't. "But I would be curious, have you heard anything that would help us?" In particular, the Lanterns. They would need a heads up as well.

Gigas has posed:
"I'm afraid not." rumbles Gigas, "I am not much where rumors are concerned but I stand ready to assist. A strong arm and a strong will. These together will allow us to win the day. I am not one to do things 'for free' often but there are some things that threaten us all. For now..I will go and clean this up."

He nods to Kinsey and turns, moving to retrieve his scrapped ship from the crater it formed when he tossed it.

Kinsey MacKenna has posed:
"Well, perhaps we can get a Green Lantern? My powers go to hope. Believing in yourself." Kinsey smiles, and recites:

"Hope is not something that you have. Hope is something that you create, with your actions." (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez)

"You'll see. And I should get back to the space station and get my bag." And make sure that everything will be ok when she is gone.
