Date of Scene: 12 September 2021
Location: Remy's Room - Boathouse
Synopsis: Gambit and Rogue play a little poker while doing a little catching up.
Cast of Characters: Rogue, Gambit

Rogue has posed:
The school's been a bit quiet, and while a loner such as Rogue might take that as a blessing...after a while it just begins to feel odd. When someone who's used to hiding doesn't have to hide, it can throw off your whole game! So, what does a randomly bored Rogue do in a time like this? She makes her way to the boathouse, right inside, and knocks on Remy LeBeau's door. "Oi, Cajun! Ya home?"

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins just a little bit stepping out of the kitchen area where he'd been preparing a sandwhich. Silent as a mouse in church slipping within meer inches of the woman's ear and whispering "Boo."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue nearly jumps out of her skin as she whirls around and glares at Remy. "Ayieee! Don't do that!" Then she smirks and gives a little sigh. "I'm bored. Entertain me. Or something. There's like... no one at the school right now save for a handful of teachers and a couple students..."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins a bit and tilts his head slightly at her request. "Fair 'nough." He says and produces a deck of cards into his hand with a wicked grin. "Poker? Gin Rummy?" Hwe asks splitting and cutting the cards with one hand then doing a spray transfer to the other. "Got a few board games too if dat more yah speed...

Rogue has posed:
"I can keep up with you an' a lousy deck of cards, Swamp Rat." Rogue offers with a grin. "If it's poker, what're the stakes?" Asking this while watching him shuffle and fluff the cards in that way he has. "What've you been up to lately anyway?"

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins and gestures to the table, a smirk playing on his lips. "Dat depend, what yah got?" He asks playfully teasing as he flurishes the cards a few more time and then shrugs. "Not much ta be honest. Ran inta Carol a few times. She told me ta give yah 'er best. Ah t'ink she meant it."

Rogue has posed:
That name causes Rogue to freeze for a moment before she clears her throat and then nods. "Well ain't that nice of her." She offers as she moves to the table and then shrugs. "I got a little cash, if ya down for playin' for hard money. Or the clothes on my back for old times sake, sugah..."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins wickedly and she would know, as only an ex-lover would, that for a few moments he is tempted. But then he sighs and shakes his head and takes a metal case off the shelf and opens it. From it's contents he passes her 2 $500 chips, 2 $100, 2 $50, 6 $20, 5 $10, 5 $5, and 5 $1. "Fifteen 'undred ta start, pot limit draw. Not'ing wild but de jokers, fou' jokers in de deck." " He says tossing in a $1 chip for an ante and starting to deal.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue knows he's tempted. Of however many ex's the man might have, she likes to think that she's one of the only ones who could actually tempt him *just* enough - even though she also knows he'll never give in. Not while he's a taken man anyway. "Alright.. bet." She offers, tossing in her own $1 chip to buy in and then picks up the cards as he deals them. Poker face activated.

Gambit has posed:
And really would he be Remy if he did give in? He'd flirt shamelessly and frequently, But even to the bitter end of things with Rogue, he'd been faithful. And there had been temptations, not the least of which being Raven. "So yah ready foh dat big ole mansion ta be crawling wit' 'ormonal teenagers again chere? He asks casually tossin a $f chip in.

Rogue has posed:
"Not really, if I'm bein' honest. Though I'm kinda glad that it'll just be hormonal teens and not like...Deadpool crashing in every night." Rogue offers while tossing in her own chip to match his bet, then raises it by a $10. "You ready to teach people passable french?"

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau smirks, "Mah proficiency wit' de French tongue is beyond reproach." He says wicked, smirking, "an Ah speak de language pretty good too." He says tossing a ten in to match her's and picking up the deck. "How many yah like chere?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue grins, leaning back in her seat some, gloved fingers toying with her cards a moment before she picks out two and sets them face down, pushing them away. "Two cards please." Offering this while watching intently as he deals.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau smirks a bit dealing her the next two cards and taking three for himself. "Didn' know Wade had been crashing dare." He says amused, "One of de main reasons Ah stay ovah 'ere. do yah know dis part of de estate ain't been leveled once...

Rogue has posed:
Rogue grunts. "He was apparently brought to the school initially by Shannon. Then made a deal with Jean and Scott to stay for...some odd reason. Something about his memories being gone." She takes up the two cards, then shuffles her hand around a bit. "Bets to you, sugah."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau nods to his own cards, eyeing the pot and tossing in $32 in. "Yah know, and if yah evah repeat dis Ah will denounce yah a lier and set yah pants on fire personally. "Scott is a great leader. A Hell of a tactician. But sometimes he do some really bonehead t'ings."

Rogue has posed:
"That's not, like, a state secret or something, Remy. Scott knows he can be a dumbass sometimes. And boneheaded. He actually has shown regret letting Wade stay on campus..." Rogue offers, eying the pot, then her card and then Remy. She keeps that eye contact while matching the $32.

Gambit has posed:
Chip count, $96. Remy tosses in $104 casually and with no signs of trepidation. "Here a question foh yah? What yah t'ink it is dat /telepat's/ see in dat man?" He asks casually. "Ah mean, Jean, Betsy, emma? Dey literally got one t'ing in common..well a few t'ings but still.." He shakes his head ""Besides de Physical."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue shrugs, watching Rem's casual toss of more money and since they're not really playing for actual cash, she calls. "He's a good leader. And he's good looking. I mean...not that I've like..." She grunts then, shifting in her chair a bit. "Otherwise I don't know. Ain't like he's got somethin' no other man has...but some people like the leader type I guess."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau smirks a bit, "Ah used ta tell yah when we dating chere, ani' nobody evah been hurt by looking. De skin tight outfits half de reason Ah stay wit' de X-Men, non?" He says playfully, laying down his cards to reveal three Jacks.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue smirks. "I also got turned on the day he and I argued until we were both blue in the lips. It was...weird...and yet really hot." She offers as she lays down her full house, three kings and two deuces. "Not that any of that matters in the long run...but that's a whole other thing." A pause. "Anyway, I should probably get back to the school..."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau smirks a bit, "Knew Ah shoulda cut dose cards bettah." He says with a slight grin and a shrugs. "As yah wish chere. Stop by any time." He grins a bit smirking at her confession though. "Yah always did like a man who willing ta stand up ta you dough, huh?"

Rogue has posed:
"Maybe a little bit. I like the thrill of the fight I guess." Rogue offers as she stands up from the table. "You should probably at least show your face at the school if you actually plan on teaching these kids anything." A wink to him then. "So I'll see you around yeah?"

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau smirks a bit, "Maybe chere, Or yah won' see me till Ah'm right behind yah, non?" He says with a wicked grin cleaning up the chips and cards to put them away.
