Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
Its a rather nice day in Central park this evening. Some people are running around and playing. Some people are grilling some are doing all sorts of things! Some are playing baseball, some are playing chess. Some are just spending time with family. Its actually a rather pleasant sight for most everyone. One person though has her nose in a fantasy book.

She is completely lost. her attention is totally wrapped up in it. A small smile crosses her face as she looks around. A man walks in front of her. Then he takes off and tries to snatch some ladies purse. The bookworm sighs and is pulled out of her fantasy. She points at ground near him. The next moment the man is launched a good 50 feet into the are only to come back down in the grass. The woman of course gets away with her purse. Then the bookworm is right back in her book.

    It is a nice day, and Sarah is out having a jog while the weather is not too hot and not too rainy, though some clouds overhead threaten that might change. Eventually. She's not messing with it at the moment...she likes the water, and the rain, so she's left it up to fate whether it happens or not.

    She's dressed in a snug sports bra and lycra running shorts, with matching darker running shoes with little dark green Nike swishes on them.

    However, a man flying up in the air DOES draw attention as she blinks, slowing as she watches him plummet down, then winces as he lands with an 'oof'.

    Okay. That's not normal, so that means someone around here is likely not either..

Moonstar has posed:
    Dani happens to be sitting near a small area of trees, and some long grass on a bench. The reason being is that Brightwind is steadily grazing the tall grass behind her....and maybe some of the flowers.

Dani manages to spot the person getting launched into the air.....then land. "That's....different." She says as she starts her way for where he fell. Brightwind peeks at Dani going, but he goes back to grazing.....for now.

Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
In a land far away, beneath a lavender sky, The heroine stands, bow in hand. She is staring down an army of evil demons bent on destroying all thats good. The heroine draws back her bow and lets loose a magical arrow which carves a swath through the enemies. A brilliant smile is on her face.

That brilliant smile doesn't fade as as the sound of someone jogging catches her attention. She looks up. "Sarah?" She asks curious? Quietly she closes her book and she stands up. "How are you?! Its been a while!"

Rainmaker has posed:
    Well. He seems to be...alive. Other than the old lady who's beating him more with her almost stolen purse at this point while he weakly tries to protect his head. Huh. Well, citizen justice and all that.

    She's about to restart her run when two things happen. First, she sees Dani running over...and that causes her to pause, because, let's face it, she doesn't see too many of people of her particular ethicity since she was kidnapped off the rez.

    And two, because someone calls her name, causing her to freeze, a brief frisson of fear running through her. Did they find her?? She whirls around, then blinks at Chloe curiously. "...Chloe?" she says, as she connects a face to the name...one that's a bit less gaunt than it was last time she saw her. "Chloe, you made it out!" She jogs over to the girl. "How did you get here? When did you get here?"

    She turns slightly so she can keep an eye on the other Amerindian girl jogging towards where they are, as she's still curious.

Moonstar has posed:
    Dani seems....to be a little relieved when the old lady starts beating up the robber. Dani simply laughs a bit. "Well....at least I didn't have to knock him out myself." She says as she puts something on her away. She then looks to Sarah and Chloe. Chloe gets a bit more of a look, but she slows her approach, mostly. She does look over her shoulder for a moment....

Chloe quickly wraps her arms around Sarah just happy to see a friend on the outside of the compound. "I got out when everyone broke out. There was no way I was going to stay there. They'd have tried to take it out on anyone who stayed there! I couldn't handle anymore. So, I decided to sneak out when everyone was escaping. I only just made it to New York City a day or two ago. Its where I last heard that my mom was staying here. No luck finding her yet though. What are you all doing here?"

Her gaze shifts over to Dani and she gives a little wave. "Umm, hello! Weird weather stuff happening. The guy deserved it though. e was trying to steal that woman's purse!"

    Sarah ooofs as she's hugged, smiling a bit as she pats Chloe on the bad. "I'm glad..." she whispers, lowering her voice a bit. "I didn't know who else made it, it was so chaotic..." She gives her a good squeeze...it obviously does make her happy to know Chloe got out. From wherever that is, which hopefully no one listening knows, because they'd be about to be tranq darted or something by a Black Razor team.

    "Well, some of the others found me on the way out, broke me out of my cell..." she says softly. "So we've been sticking together, moving around a lot. We ended up here because it's big enough Caitlin thought we could blend in..." She cuts off what she's saying as Dani gets close, turning to look at her curiously. "...yes, it's definitely justice." she adds, looking the other girl over curiously. Up close, it's certain she's not mistake about shared bloodlines, though she's not sure exactly which group she's from. "Ya'ateh." she adds, greeting the other girl in Western Apache. Probably not someone from there, it's not like it's a huge rez, but she feels like it's polite.

Moonstar has posed:
    "While that actually sounds somewhat familiar, I don't understand it. It sounded like it was Apache, and I'm Cheyenne." Dani then tilts her head. "Weird weather indeed." She says to Chloe. "Seen stranger though........"

Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
Chloe blinks a few times, "Wait Cait made it out too? Thats really good. Ummm, I think I should go over here and talk to the officer. I seen the whole thing." She doesn't mention she caused it but given that Sarah and her knew each other before, she doesn't have to. "Oh umm excuse me. I will be right back."

The Asian-American girl makes her way over to the officer and waves. "Umm Hiyee. Yeah. Its not her fault officer. I seen the whole thing. This guy was trying to steal her purse and next thing you know, he was launched up into the air. Then he dropped back down. If he wouldn't have tried to steal her purse, she wouldn't be pounding him. He sorta deserves it." She smiles happily.

    Sarah smiles as Chloe goes running off, then turns back to the other girl near her. "I figured it was a long shot." she admits to Dani. "Just seeing someone like me here is kind of like hitting the lottery." She offers a hand to Dani. "I said, nice to meet you. I'm Sarah." she adds curiously. Wow, really, meeting someone like Dani AND Chloe in the same day...maybe she should buy a lottery ticket. "Sarah Rainmaker."

    "Dani Moonstar. Nice to meet you as well." Dani says before watchign CHloe running over to the officer. "Interesting developments. Is she a....mutant or metahuman?"

Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
The officer had approached the woman kicking the tar out of the man who took flight. She began questioning the woman about assault and battery. Moreover, why the heck a little old lady was pummeling a young guy on the ground. Chloe's words were heard and she was promptly questioned about her own actions. Those actions of course were concealed by the fact that she was just an innocent bystandard who had nothing to do with the whole thing. Just a witness. With that She returned to the group and just shook her head over the whole thing.

Chloe gives a little laugh, "Well, That was fun. Weird stuff happens sometimes and sometimes it happens to the people who actually deserve it right?" She smirks to Sarah, "Its good for that to happen to the right people for once right!"

Rainmaker has posed:
    Dani is probably used to people who take notice of mutants, for good or ill. She might misunderstand when Sarah tenses a bit, before glancing over at her more casually. "Ah...what makes you say that?" she offers. Because...well, totally trying to keep her fellow Gen-Actives low key. Less chance of capture and dissection!

    Then Chloe makes it back as she glances back at her, then forces a little smile. "Certainly justice for him. Though very odd to see it just happen like that." she offers slowly. "Though at least the officer didn't want to investigate more..."

Moonstar has posed:
    "have a bit of experience with them myself, that's all." Dani says before looking to Chloe. "Good work on doing the fast talking to the officer. Of course, the old Lady must've had a brick in her purse." She then loosk over to Sarah. "More experience than you may realize, I should say."

Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
"Sometimes I guess old ladies gotta do what they gotta do. When I get old, I'm going to keep a brick in my purse just for this sort of occasion!" Chloe states with a smile. "Experience with what?" She asks, canting her head a little. Her attention shifts over to Sarah. She simply gives an inquisitive look to her, not saying a thing. She's got no idea whats going on but, sisters formerly in binds is all.

Rainmaker has posed:
    Sarah tilts her head slightly, her intelligent brown eyes studying Dani's. "...is that so?" she says slowly, untensing a little bit. "So you know a few things about it then, personally?" She glances over and smiles at Chloe. "This is Dani, Chloe...she was just wondering about how that happened, exactly." she says thoughfully. She's guessing Dani may have saw something, as she remembers Chloe's abilities are often visible when in place. It's how the guards didn't get smashed into walls, they could see where not to step. "If it's more of a metahuman or a..mutant thing." she says.

Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
Chloe shrugs. "No idea honestly." She has had a little practice lying. Doesn't mean she's the greatest at it. "I was just hear reading my book. I didn't see any umm... metas or mutants. Not like you can tell by looking anyway right? At least in some cases." She shrugs and snickers.

"Anyway, Its a pleasure to meet you Dani. My name is Chloe. Don't mind me. They were just lucky I was paying attention. Most of the time I'm lost in my books." She grins and holds up a book entitled, 'The Priestess of Fortune' by P.J. Chambers. "This ones okay. I like Calitha, the Elven Spell-Archer! She's my favorite in this one!"

Moonstar has posed:
    While they were talking, and the fact that the officer has moved along, Brightwind slowly clops her way over to Moonstar. "Like I said.....I've had a lot of experience in the unusual." She says looking behind her to find Brightwind clopping up behind her. "All done grazing?" She says starting to walk over towards Brightwind.

For anyone looking....Brightwind is an actual winged horse, or 'Pegasus' as the myths tend to call them.

It's then Dani reaches into a pack and brings out a green apple. "here you go, I figured you'd want a treat, Brightwind." As she bumps it into Brightwind's mouth, the horse happily gobbles it up.....

Rainmaker has posed:
    "Just like you to have your nose buried in a fantasy book." Sarah says wryly. "Wait, where are you staying then Chloe?" she says, a faint hint of concern entering her voice.

    Then the arrival of the horse derails her train of thought. That makes even Sarah stay, her jaw dropping slightly. "Oh my..." she breathes out softly. "That's...definitely not something you see every day." She hesistates, then steps a bit closer. "She's beautiful...I've never seen seen anything like her.

    Yes, it's stereotypical, but Sarah does love a pretty horse.

Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
Chloe shrugs, "I umm. I don't know. I just sorta did my best to find places to crash as best I could. So I don't have a place or anything." She shrugs. She doesn't mention that she's essentially been crashing in trees, waking up every so often to reset traps. Its not exactly the most restful thing she's been doing.

Then Brightwind comes up and Chloe's eyes light up. "Oh wow!" She quickly steps closer to the pegasus, her face lit up like christmas morning. She reaches out carefully, almost afraid to touch the mythical creature. Its as though by touching the flying horse, the illusion would be broken. Finally she does touch the horses neck. "Its real!" She beams.

Moonstar has posed:
    Brightwind has no bridle, nor a saddle, just a blanket. So when Chloe goes to touch Brightwind's neck, Brightwind swings her head around to bite at Chloe....and Dani is able to grab onto Brightwind's muzzle. "Brightwind....Brightwind." Dani says gently. "you don't need to bite them....She doesn't know."

Dani then looks to Chloe...then looks around a bit to make sure they're alone. "I said I have experience with the unusual. As in, I am a mutant AND a certain type of metahuman."

She then explains further. "Brightwind here is an Asgardian pegasus mare. Only those that are worthy may ride her, and she's very.....picky on who touches her. Like a stranger walking up to you and just....touching you everywhere you don't want them to. You must ask first...." Brightwind had open her wings a little bit when Dani grabbed her muzzle...they....now rest against her sides and Dani lets go of her muzzle. "It's okay...I'm here."

Rainmaker has posed:
    Sarah winces at the near bite, gently reaching out to put a hand on Chloe's belly to push her back a little out of nip range. "Horses are like that, not all of them are interested in being touched." she agrees. She has had some experience with them at home, at least. "Maybe you could convince her to lend you an apple to feed her?" she offers.

    Her brows steadily rise as Dani explains. "Mutant...Asgardian. How would you have found an Asgardian horse?" she says curiously. She does relax completely now. Okay. If she's a mutant and...an Asgardian horse rider, she's very likely not in any way associated with Genesis or the people after her and Chloe.

Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
Chloe frowns a little and pulls her hand back very quickly. Quicker then she ought to be able to. "I'm sorry Brightwind. I umm... I didn't mean to. Sorry Dani. I was just... I never thought I would ever see a real pegasus before. I thought it might be an illusion or something like that. She is so pretty. I've never fed anything to a horse before. I've never really been this close to one before." She blushes a little.

She looks over to Sarah and smiles, "I think a winged horse in Asgardian mythos was something that would be gifted rather then caught. I don't know a whole lot about it. I only ever skimmed through one Asgardian fantasy book."

Moonstar has posed:
    "When you....get stuck in Asgard, you're likely to find an Asgardian horse." Dani says softly. "And....she chooses her rider. She's not a gift. No one owns her. She's too proud to be 'owned' by anyone. That's her mentality. So....naturally, she may not wish to be touched."

She then ponders a moment. "Brightwind." She says as she walks over to Chloe. "Can she touch you?" She says taking Chloe's hand, and holds it up for Brightwind to smell.

Assuming CHloe allows it, Brightwind does smell Chloe's hand, with a thunderous STAMP of her hoof.....as if a warning 'if she tries anything funny'. That stamp actually sounds like it could shatter stone....

Rainmaker has posed:
    Sarah hmms, then nods slightly, folding her arms as she watches her with Chloe, smiling a bit. "Well, yes, obviously..." she says, with just a faint hint of dryness to her tone. "How did you end up in Asgard? I didn't think people could get there from here. Unless you're like seven feet tall and have a huge magic hammer, anyway." She doesn't sound like disbelieves the explanation, more she's curious about what happened.

    There's a faint rumbles from overhead as the threatening clouds overhead...well, threaten rain. Sarah looks up, narrowing her eyes slightly, then it's like the darker clouds start to lighten a bit, the rumbles ceasing save in the distance. She wouldn't usually, adjust, but...she would rather not have it rain on the other girls. They may not like rain as much as she does.

Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
Chloe smiles, "OH Wow! Yeah that would be why they are fantasy books right?" And then Dani takes her hand and asks the pegasus the question. She doesn't pull away. She has been through enough to know yeah horse could hurt her but she'd survive it. She doesn't pull away at all. She doesn't press the issue though either. "Its okay Brightwind, I won't do anything to hurt you. I'm a nice person." She smiles softly and then giggles a little as the horse sniffs at her hands.

When the rumble of thunder rings out. Chloe does two things. The first is to look at the sky. The second is to glance towards Sarah. She notes what happens and shrugs a little before looking back to the majestic horse.

    Brightwind sniffs at Chloe's hand for a moment...then walks forward to nudge her nose against Chloe's hand. "That's a yes, Chloe." Dani says with a smile, and lets CHloe's hand go.

"That....is a difficult explination. Cuz, honestly, I don't really know how I got there. I think a friend of mine teleported and there was a misjump or something and...wham, I'm in Asgard." She says to Sarah. "Believe me...I was as baffled as you are hearing it."

    Sarah returns her full attention to the conversation, smiling a bit at Chloe as she gets her chance. "Was she how you got back, then?" she asks Dani. "That's very epic, honestly." Her eyes twinkle a bit. "So do you live around here then? Or farther out? I'd guess it's hard to find the right stable for someone like her..." She slides her hands in her pockets as they chat now, more relaxed. It's...nice. Even as weird as the conversation is in some ways, she is finding she can actually relax a bit here. And now she's stumbled over Chloe...who she definitely needs to take back to the others, because leaving a teen her age wandering the streets is just asking for trouble.

Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
Chloe smiles happily and gently pets Brightwind's nose. "You're really pretty." she softly states to the pegasus. "That is a really cool story. What was Asgard like?" She smiles a little. The fangirl in her is starting to bubble over. "I mean, I am just curious is all." Then she thinks to herself. "Wait you know a lot of meta human types and mutants? Thats really cool. I am just curious how things work ya know? I've sorta had a sheltered life ya know?"

She is still gently petting the horse. She's not being rough or anything. Just very delicate. Her gaze goes over to Sarah and she smiles a little. "Sounds almost like a dream doesn't it? I wish I could see strange new realms like that."

Moonstar has posed:
    "Asgard's rather beautiful, honestly. Clean air, lots of technology, but the way the technology works is with mysticism as well. You earn your place there, and only if you're worthy do you earn your place." Dani then smiles a bit. "I.....actually came back through one of their portals." She then changes the subject rather quick. "Yeah, lots of experience with metahuman types and mutants. Xavier's school for the gifted, Asgardians...." She then looks up....and notices the weather going.....around them. "If you guys are metahumans, just say yes. I won't tell anyone. I've got enough on my plate."

Rainmaker has posed:
    That draws another raised brow from Sarah, as she hesistates. It's ingrained in her to hide it. But...she's been nothing but open with them. "Sure." she says finally. "We are." A bit firm when she says it. "It's just, we've had...troubles with some people, so we're trying not to advertise it until we're a bit safer. Or settled. And we don't want to bring it down on other people either." She shakes her head. "As long as we keep our heads down, it should be fine."

Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
Chloe takes a deep breath and nods to Dani. "We are." Her voice is soft. Very soft. Softer then it was even while talking to the horse. She steps back from Brightwind not wanting her to pick up anything off of her. The younger of the two is clearly a little freaked at the moment. She takes a deep breath and speaks softly. "We are umm. We were brought into a 'special program for gifted youths'. Thats what they called it. They did stuff to us and all. It was really bad." She sighs. "The guy that got launched. That was me. I didn't have to get up to do that. He never knew what hit him. No one could see what I did anyway." She sighs and looks at Sarah. Yeah she's a little scared.

Moonstar has posed:
    Dani nods a bit. "KNew there was something 'fishy'. No one can jump that high. Nor would they jump that high, then allow themselves to be pummeled by an elderly woman." She then chuckles a bit. "Believe it or not, there are quite a few metahumans, as well as mutants around, so whoever is chasing you, will have a tough time finding you. Plus, if they find you and try to take you, people will likely help.

"So...since you've been honest with me....I'm going to be honest with you. I'm not just a mutant.....I'm also a Valkyrie. It's how I was able to use a portal to get back to earth."

Rainmaker has posed:
    Sarah smiles. "...that's quite a mix." she says. "So..you're literally a chooser for the slain? Or is that a misunderstanding of what Asgardian valkyries really do?" she wonders curiously. "And...thank you, it's nice to know there might be people around who wouldn't allow it, if it came to the worse case." She smiles weakly. "But it might be rough...these people are very connected." As Chloe seems to get nervous she reaches out to gently rest her hand on the younger girl's shoulder, trying to comfort her a bit.

Chloe just sorta leans into Sarah's hand. Its difficult for her. Heck she still has dreams about her time there. Not that it was long ago. She shakes her head and forces a smile, "A valkyrie? That is so sweet. I wish I were that special." She shrugs and smiles a little forcing herself to snap out of it. "Anyway, I make traps. Thats my thing. Its how I did the whole thing to the idiot. I made a trap under him and it triggered. I am always in contact with air so thats the easiest type for me to make."

Moonstar has posed:
    "I don't really choose for someone to die. I CAN see a death aura around someone who is about to die, and prevent it if I want to." Dani then pets Brightwind's muzzle. "and...she gave it to me when she chose me. I do have more powers, but, I'm afraid I should be going." She then smiles to them both. "I'll see you both soon, I'm sure." She says hopping onto Brightwind's back, and Brightwind easily takes to the air to fly off into the distance....

Rainmaker has posed:
    Sarah waves to Dani as she takes off, admiring the horse and rider as they head off into the upper air! Then pauses. "...wait, was that a 'I'll see you later' or a 'I'll see you later when you're about to die' sort of goodbye?" she mutters.

    She looks to Chloe, pursing her lips. "...and if you know your power is obvious like that, you need to work on more subtle...we should work on that." She frowns a bit, looking more firm. "...and I'm taking you home with me. We've got a room and I'm not going to leave you out on the street in this town. There are too many crazies."

Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
Chloe winches, "I hope not. I'm not in a rush to see Valhalla." She gives a little wave as Dani flies off. She rubs the back of her head.

Her attention goes to Sarah, "No one could tell it was me. All that anyone knows is that a guy got launched. I learned to hide my traps. See?" She sets one up right in front of her and Sarah. "Its there. I can do this too." She puts her hand out and the trap lights green. "You and I can see it now but no one else can. I know a few other tricks too but they can hurt."

She pauses. "But... What about my mom? I want to find her. I know she's here somewhere. I have to find her."

Rainmaker has posed:
    Sarah sighs, then ruffles Chloe's hair. "Look...we can do that too, I'm not saying we won't. But we have a place in town. You can crash with us while you're looking for her, that way you've at least got a safe place to come home to, and someplace to get some food and a shower and things like that." She raises a brow, looking her over. "...because no offense, but you look like you've been living in a tree or something at the moment. Do you have a change of clothes?"

Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
Chloe laughs, "Thats because I have been living in trees. I was setting traps around them so no one would mess with me. Not the best night's sleep at all. It been rough and no. I don't have any other clothes. All of my clothes were back there. It sucks but. You know how it is."

Rainmaker has posed:
    Sarah rubs her face. "Right. So. I got some money, let's find you a change of clothes or two, and we'll head back so you can shower at least and get cleaned up. We can get takeout too so you can get a real meal." she says, crisply, moving straight to organizer Sarah, mistress of activism organizing! In this case, it's easier, of course, because it's just one teen rather than a bunch of upset activitsts, at least.

Chloe smiles and follows along. "I think. I need to get some money together. I accidentally left something else behind. My old bow. It stinks cause my mom got me that one. Not like the draw was any good anymore. A twenty pound draw bow was just just too weak for me. I felt like I was going to break it. It stinks ya know." She smiles. "Ummm what kind of cloths. I'm definitely looking forward to a shower. That is a good thing right now."

Rainmaker has posed:
    Sarah starts walking. "This way, there's a tourist place not too far. We can get something cheap for now and something better when I've had a chance to raid the bank account." Which currently is whatever cash they've got that's stuffed in Caitlin's dresser drawer.
    "How would you get money together, exactly? And if your mom has your bow, it's probably not going to go anywhere before we track her down if it's still there. It'll be fine." she assures her, leading her out fo the park and towards Big Eddy's New York New YOrk! It looks....well, a bit tacky. The touristy sort of tacky. Still, there's a pretty wide selection of clothing, cheap t-shirts and shorts, hoodies, even more skimpy bikini tops or backless tops to deal with summer in the city. Also flip flips and sandals for those in need of something to walk on.

    "Okay...grab what you'd like. I don't have a whole lot, but I'm pretty sure I can definite grab you the basics, and a couple tops and shorts or something." Sarah says. "Need help with more than that?"

Chloe Harper (1165) has posed:
Chloe shakes her head, "No. My bow is at... The compound. They told me it was a special program for gifted teens. I thought it was a prep school or something. I brought it with me because it was part of who I was. Needless to say, I didn't get to keep it." She sighs.

Quietly they walk into the store. Tacky it is. She quickly grabs a couple things. A Bra, some panties, and summer style tops and a pair of shorts. All of them are gung-ho american or New York. She sighs and tries to find the most toned down ones she can.

Rainmaker has posed:
    Sarah doesn't really stop her from picking whatever she wants, she's busily counting through what she has as she estimates. Okay. It will still be a bit close, but Caitlin and the others will be fine if she dips into the 'new house' money they've been collecting. It's an emergency, sort of. She idly slides some strands of her hair over her shoulder, worrying it with her fingers a bit as she thinks. And if Chloe's here, who else might be here? She hadn't thought of that. They've been just trying to survive for so long. What if there are others here? Should they seek them out or is it safer not to?

    Mmm, these are thing she'll talk to Caitlin and Roxy about when she gets Chloe..well, not home, but back to the little room they're renting at the moment. Well. She'll be on the floor then, maybe she can find a sleeping bag so Chloe can have the couch.

    When Chloe comes back she looks over, then smiles. "...sorry the selection sucks, but I don't have a lot right now. We can find something better later." She'll take it up to pay for it, then will ask. "Do you want to change here, or wait until we get back?"

Chloe laughs and shrugs. "I will wait. Better to get cleaned up before putting clean clothes on. I'd just make these ones dirty right now. I went as cheap as I could. I did find some that were toned down. SOme of the stuff was just really not good. I've always thought wearing an american flag around was tacky." She smiles a little.

The clothes she got are alright. The shorts have an american flag patched on each leg. One shirt if a simple blue scoop neck sleeveless top with statue of liberty on the front. The other is a halter top which is red white and blue striped. The bra is white with a heart on each cup with NY on top of the hearts. The panties have God Bless America on them! Its rough but it will work.

    Sarah nods. "Okay....we have to catch a bus over to Little China then...come on, should be able to catch one next block over." And off she goes again, leading Chloe to said bus stop, glaring down one skeevy guy who keeps eying the girls, and without too much incident they make it to Little China. Well, the edge of it really. Not exactly a high rent district, but not too much crime. Just working class and lots of mixed ethnicities. Perfect for blending in no matter who you are, which is why they did it.

    Sarah leads her back to a kind of crappy looking motel, then to one of the rooms, which she unlocks with a battered looking key, peeking in. "....mmm. They're still out. Got to place to ourselves."

    And there really isn't much to the place either. One double bed, a couch, a crappy TV, a small bathroom with shower. The closet has a few outfits hanging up in it, there's several ashtrays here and there (and a spot on the couch that looks like it caught fire not too long ago) and a scattering of clothes in a corner that look closer to Chloe's size than Sarah's size.

    "It's not much, but it's paid for...and temporary. Hopefully."

Chloe nods to Sarah and is quickly following Sarah. When the Skeevy guy is eying them She does something quick. No hand motions. No nothing. Just a quick glance. Sarah could see the green circle on the ground. The trap triggers but nothing seems to happen. The man will find it tough to follow if he tries. At least until they are well on their way to China Town.

Once they enter the room, she looks around and smiles, "I'm not going to complain. Its nicer then the other place right?" She grins. Then its a bee line to the bathroom. The shower turns on and that is all that can be heard in there. Except maybe a little singing which, hey could be worse. Theres a curtain in there so it would be easy for anyone to come in and talk.

    Sarah gives Chloe some privacy mostly; while she's not particularly body conscious herself, she knows that others don't feel that way, so she doesn't assume. She gives her time to get into the shower, then leans against the wall outside the open door. "So...what do you know about your mom, or where she might be? Did you already try to call her?"

Chloe responds quickly. "OH umm. No phone and no money to make a call. So I couldn't try to get ahold of her. I know she lives in New York City. But beyond that, you know how communication was. I will try to call her. I just hope she doesn't think I ran away from a good education and call them before listening to me." SHe shutters at the thought. As for any reservations she may have, they long since vanished. Its not like Sarah is a guy or anything.

    She can't see it, but the Amerindian woman shakes her head. "No. They'll be tapping her phone, Chloe." she says quietly. "If you want to approach your mom we'll have to find a way to do it safely, in case they've staked your house out. They've got the resources to do that."

    Sarah pushes away from the wall, pacing a bit as she thinks. "We'll have to do this smart. We can plan something out when Caitlin gets back, she'll have some ideas."

Chloe frowns and shakes her head. She pokes her head out and looks at Sarah, "I'm not going to get to see my mom for a long time, am I?" she asks and there is a lot of sadness in her voice. She quickly washes her hair and then and cleans herself up.

A few moments later she steps out and gets dressed in the new clothes. They are definitely tacky but, better then her dirty clothes. "So whats the plan? I mean I can make some clothes if I have the materials. I can sell them and help right."

    There's a pause, then Sarah says bluntly. "...no. I don't think any of us are. We can't endanger them lightly." She looks over as Chloe comes back out, then nods in approval at the sparkling clean new teen. "At least you have a good chance of it...I don't think I could contact any of my family. They're too easy to watch where they are." She sighs, then walks over to the couch, flopping back on it. "I think...I need a nap. Maybe you should get some rest on the bed. The girls will be back eventually, but probably not for a while. Tree can't be fun to sleep in." She puts an arm over her eyes, trying to stretch out as best she can...which is not much, given her height. "....we'll talk about it then..." she says, yawning a bit. "Mmm...there's some snacks...in the bag in the bottom of the closet....dun' take the cigarette, Roxie will..." And then she trails off as she just falls straight asleep. It's been a loooong day.
