Cast of Characters: Red Robin, Buffy Summers

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake has come to Sunnydale to see what is up with the Scooby bunch. He did a bit of research and is brooding atop a tomb, that may or may not have a new vampire using it. He figures from what he has learned. Buffy or one of her friends will be there to check it out sometime tonight. He is pretty sure the Vamp aint here, but he does have a stake on his belt just in case.

Buffy Summers has posed:
It is a little bit of a wait but eventually a familiar blonde will wander in from one of the side entrances to the cemetary. She is dressed in a pair of jeans with a white tank top that has a lightweight faux leather jacket over it. There is no stealth in her attire. None in her movements. Just a girl wandering through a creepy cemetary at night. Though someone like Tim would be able to tell under that jacket, the woman has a few weapons.

She continues up the trail, making a bit of a beeline for the tomb he happens to be atop. Then she pauses about fifty feet away, eyes narrowing slightly. Then she begins to move more quietly for the front of the tomb.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will wait till she is close enough he does not have to shout but speaks in a normal voice. "Aint seen anything coming or going in the couple hours I have been here." He jumps off the tomb, just outside arms reach of her, and ready to deflect any thrown items.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Hearing the voice, Buffy takes a quick step back and at some point she drew a stake out of her jacket. Only to find that this is not a vampire. At least if it is a vampire, they don't usually dress like that. Well, in her experience. This was more superhero. Or villain. Though villains didn't usually help. Course then there was Spike so who was she to talk.

"Uh thanks?" She stepped back even more when he jumped down into range. "Appreciate the help. But I'll check inside, see if there is any sign anyway." Now did she play this cool or did she admit she had no idea who this person was? Seemed he knew her. Or at least of her.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods and makes a mottion towards the tomb "Be my guest." He offers. "I actually came down to see what the word was on the supernatural side of thing. Figured you and yours would know more the street level things going down than most.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Definitely knew who she was. And he knew about the Scoobies. Which meant he was likely an ally. "Not that I know of but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Sorta missing some memories personally. Which makes it kind of hard to know if there were things going on prior to a couple of weeks ago. We're trying to figure it out. If a spell was involved or not in a recent situation." Did she give him the situation? Actually, there was really an easy way to do it.

"Guessing we know each other?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods a bit and says "In passing, and I know a few of your people. I'm Red Robin, and I am out of Gotham." He is not used to people not knowing who he is, but goes with it. "Tell me a bit how it happened, whats last thing you remember, maybe I can help."

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy moves to the tomb, pushing open the door and slipping inside while they continue their conversation. "Red Robin. Nice to meet you. Again. Since apparently I met you before." This was far too complicated.

Inside the tomb showed signs of being lived in, though not nearly as nice of a setup as Spike had. No chair, tv, electricity and so forth.

"I was fighting some vampires. Bright flash of light. When I could see again, finished the fight. Then I went home to the apartment I share with Willow. Which apparently I don't share and haven't for a year or longer. Seems I also have a boyfriend. Or had. Because I don't remember him either and we dated for over two years. So I broke it off with him until I figure some things out."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmmms and nods his head a bit and says "Sounds like either magic, or some type of hypnotic suggestion perhaps. The vampires were stunned by the flash of light too, I take it, as they did not take advantage of you being blind.

Buffy Summers has posed:
"Yeah, the bright light got all of us. The working theories at the moment are magic related. Someone possibly erased my memory. Or that there was a spell on me already that got removed and my memories went with it." Buffy shrugs as she comes back out of the tomb, pushing the door back closed and heading over to a conversational distance from Tim.

"All I know is I remember being in college with Willow, freshman year. Everything else is just lost from then on. I've currently moved back in with my mother until I can get a place and a job. Since apparently I worked for my boyfriend. Which seems like a bad thing to do for a career cause that never works out. At least not in movies or tv."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and says "I don't know sometimes it can." He says since his own girl friend works for him. "So, how long are you missing exactly?" He will ask her "And if I may make a suggestion with this happening, you may want to start keeping a journal or record of like once a week important details you need to know."

Buffy Summers has posed:
"Like a diary?" Because it immediate equates journaling to keeping a Dear Diary in the mind of Buffy Summers. She considers a moment then shrugs. "Might be a good idea. Since I literally am so lost right now. I actually didn't even know who my then boyfriend was. Not now cause weird when they are a stranger to me."

She considered his first question. "I don't have an exact date. Seems it's around 3 years maybe? I remember part of freshman year. And apparently I was with Thomas for two and a half years. So between two and a half and three."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake whistles softly, and nods his head a bit and says "Well, I was thinking more facts and dates than feelings, but might not hurt to add that in. Never know when you get the old back, might loose what you have done since then, so that would cover it just to be on the safe side." He hmmms and says "I am curious about something, give me a moment." He brings his wrist up to open the computer link and types something looking up her school records and transcripts.

Buffy Summers has posed:
The records would show she had been attending her classes. Her grades were passing. Her attendance was atrocious but she had been going regularly for four years. She was currently in her senior year. Although she had not attended classes the last two weeks, which coincided with when she lost her memory.

"I remember being in Psych 101 with Willow. She's my bestie." She paused. "Though you might already know that." Since he knew her. This was such a pain in the butt. "I remember we had lunch that day. But I couldn't tell you a date there. We're trying to trace it back. Since I was here and active, it's not like we can pinpoint a day I disappeared."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and will type a bit more, and will ask her some questions of stuff she would have learned in her junior year. He is curious if she still has the knowledge she learned there just not the memories of learning it or if she was wiped clean.

Buffy Summers has posed:
And he will get some blank looks and smart assed comments but no actual answers. Because she didn't remember any of those classes or the knowledge in them.

Buffy gave an apologetic half-smile and a shrug of her shoulders. "Sorry, I've got nothing."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Well that does tell a bit, what ever got you, got you a lot cleaner than most types of memory loss. Most times with natural loss and some other forms, you may forget people and learning things but the base knowledge is still there. Like in Amnesia, while you may not remember who your parents or husband or wife is, you often remember how to speak different languages you know, drive a car, ect."

Buffy Summers has posed:
"I don't drive. Buffy and driving are non-matchy things."

That had been a bit of a disaster in her teen years. She preferred not to talk about it.

"I don't know if there is anything else I learned. I'd have to ask everyone else that one. But we lean toward magic, only because we deal with that stuff all the time. Hopefully we can figure it out. And maybe get my memories back."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods and says "Well the things I asked you were on one of your tests that you aced, so you knew it at one point in time." He tells her. "I know a few folks who might be able to help." He hmms and pulls out a card and pen and writes a number on it offering it to her "Try this number, he is a really smart fellow, and knows a good bit about magic as well." The number he writes down is a phone number with DC above it.

Buffy Summers has posed:
"You can see my tests?" Buffy is trying to peek at his device now. "Can you get the answer keys? Just asking. For a friend."

When he offers the card, she looks at the number as though it might mean something. Then she looks at the initials. "DC? Who's that?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smirks a bit and says "I could probably, but I won't." He tells her of the tests "I have a set of skills best used for good, and thats the number for Detective Chimp, he is one of the worlds best detectives, and also a expert on magic.

Buffy Summers has posed:
"World's Best Detective named himself after a monkey?"

Buffy rethinks that as soon as she says it. "Wait. Chimps are apes, right? The no tail thing. So he named himself after an ape."

But then she shrugs. "Who am I to judge. Your buddy in Gotham has a thing for bats." So she knows that much at least! Red Robin has something to do with Batman. "I'll give him a call though. Thanks for the advice and help. Even though I have a final coming up I could really use help with since I've kind of lost three years." She gives him a hopeful look though she already knows the answer.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smirks a bit and says "He is a chimp, he has another name, but Detective Chimp is easiest for others to remember and fits him pretty well." He tells her.

Buffy Summers has posed:
That has Buffy giving the slow blink. "So he is an actual chimpanzee?"

Now her brow furrowed and she was trying to work out something in that brain of hers. "What is the etiquette there? I mean can I pet him or pick him up or is that rude? Or treat him like anyone else. I am guessing he talks. This is way too Planet of the Apes for me right now." She eyed the card. "Tell me his real name isn't Caesar at least."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over and says "He is a bit of a gruff guy, so I don't think he will be a fan of being picked up, or petted, but if you bring him some whiskey or cigars, he is more likely to help you, and he has been around since before the movies." He tells her. Little do either of them know Chimp and Buffy have met in the past.

Buffy Summers has posed:
"Whiskey or cigars. Got it."

Buffy tucks the card away in a pocket for now then glances at the empty crypt. Maybe not empty. The bodies that should be there likely are present. Just the vampire that had been staying there was not.

"I should continue my patrol. I'll come back by here in the morning and see if the vamp is back."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and says "On the other side of the card is an email, if your in need of help send a message there with the words petting chimps in it, and I will get back to you."

Buffy Summers has posed:
She doesn't take the card back out, trusting that what he said was there. An email to reach him more directly. Well, if she put in the right code words.

"Thanks. Appreciate the help. With the advice and the help even though he wasn't home," she added with a wave to the crypt. Then Buffy gave a little pause before shrugging. "Until next time."

And with that, she turned to continue her patrol.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and steps back into the shadows, and like the Bat who taught him, he is gone.
