Cast of Characters: Ghost Rider (Reyes), X-23

Ghost Rider (Reyes) has posed:
Mutant Town was a place for the 'oddities'. It was hard for mutants to go where they belonged and not be ostracized or abused or harassed or even attacked. Mutsnts weren't safe anywhere...except for Mutant Town, where mutants and mutant-sympathizers, even some nonmutant metahumans could find a place of safety in Mutant Town.

And mutants can make one mean brew.

A loud vehicle with an engine that could rattle the city pulls up to the Sailor pub in Mutant Town. The car colored black. Heavily modified and tinkered with. Wheels look mean with slick rims. Great care has been taken into preserving this beast, as if it may strike if provoked.

A Latino male steps out of the car. White sweater, black jacket, blue jeans. White decal. Buzz cut hair and dark facial hair. Heterochromatic eyes.

He pushes open the doors and walks over to the bar, taking a seat and ordering a Blue Moon. He's alone. Some folks look at him funny, but none approach.

X-23 has posed:
After scrolling through the list of songs at the jukebox, Laura deposits some coins and presses some buttons to put a song in que. Pushing off the glass, black combat boots thump against the floor as she walks back to the bar. Dressed in a Guns and Roses tank that decals roses wrapped around a skull, there is a black strap around her throat is a choker necklace, a ripped jean skirt, black studded belt and ripped fishnet stockings.
Approaching the bar, she leans the counter instead of sliding onto the stool. "A pint and a shot of whiskey." Rocking back and forth on the heels of her boots, nodding at the bartender in thanks. Hands curl into fits and she raps her knuckles against the bar top with the tune playing on the jukebox.

Ghost Rider (Reyes) has posed:
New song's playing. Robbie's attention is drawn to the figure of Laura Kinney. She changed the tune and drew the attention, it'd be a shame not to say hello.

"Hola." Robbie greets her. Drink slides in front of him from downtown into his hand, sipping the cold beverage. He's not quite a regular so the cheap lines don't really qualify for this. "I like your shirt."

Who doesn't like Guns N' Roses?

No, he doesn't possess great social skills. He only really talks to his brother these days. His eyes keep forward so he doesn't creep her out. He knows he has a strange gaze.

X-23 has posed:
With a clink, the pint and the whiskey shot are placed in front of her. "Thanks." sure she was probably underage, but here in Mutant town, no one seemed to care if you were underage or not. Maybe they realized that as a mutant, you needed to alcohol to deal with life. She was a short little think, only 5ft tall, at least she could reach the top of the bar. Picking up the shot glass, placing it at her lips and drinking it quickly, knocking her head back as she takes it down. The glass comes back down with a slam, a little harder than one might usually set it down.
Using the back of her hand she wipes at her mouth, looking down at her shirt first and then turning her head to look at the guy that complimented it. "Thanks, Found it at a thrift shop. Can't believe someone would give this up." It was older and fading in some areas, but that just added to the charm of the shirt.
She didn't possess a whole lot of social skills, so they shared that, but it was something she was working on.

Ghost Rider (Reyes) has posed:
"Sinful." Robbie remarks on the finding of the shirt. 'Sweet Child' is his favorite song by Guns N' Roses. It plays in the car more often than not. His fingers fit around the iced liquid and down the hatch it goes. Blue Moon is half gone and he set it down back on the bar with a smack of his lips.

"Robbie." He comments. He looks at Laura, extending a hand. "Robbie Reyes." He keeps his hand out. She's a friendly enough person so far, maybe he can have a drinking Buddy. Eli's quiet too. maybe he's just waiting to be in a pain in the ass.

X-23 has posed:
When the jukebox turns to a new tune, its Laura's pick, Guns and Roses "Knockin on Heavens Door" start to play. It was her favorite of the band and slowly smile slips over her face at the sound. Moving her head from side to side with a roll of her head. Shifting her wait from boot to boot.
"X-" Laura starts, and then stops herself, "Laura." correcting original statement, and reaching and across the bar to take Robbies hand, "One of the mutants up at the X-Mansion." she says rather bluntly. From the naked eye, other than being a bit short, she looks like a normal 20 year old girl, but she's just outed herself and doesnt seem to mind she did it. The hand shake is very firm, strength in her hands.

Ghost Rider (Reyes) has posed:
'Knock, Knock, Knocking on Heavens Do-o-or!'

The ambiance is set. Robbie can taste irony on his tongue. This would be a great time to start knocking heads around, an invitation to battle. But nobody even raises their fists. Nobody throws a bottle and nobody drunkenly starts throwing verbal bombs.

She had a strong-ass grip.

Tobbie's wasn't half bad. He too was super humanly strong, but Laura introduces herself as a mutant. "Mutants are cool. Nice to meet you, Laura." He gives her hand a good shake and releases her. "I'm like a mutant. Most people who see what I can do tend to freak out just the same. So, Laura, what's your trick?"

X-23 has posed:
Just just a couple of seconds, Laura loses herself to the song and sings along to the chorus. A true lover of Guns n Roses or just a lover of music in general. When her hand is released she wraps it around the pint glass and drink a quarter of it down before its set back down on the bar top.
A half smirk turns up one side of her face as she turns her attention back to Robbie, "Freaking out is a normal response to most mutants, so I get it." Her trick? Slipping her hand offer her beer, resting her elbow on the counter, tilting her arm straight up, her hand balled into a fist. In a flash, bone claws jump out from between her knuckles. Some were more familiar with Logan - wolverine, and if you knew of him, you knew this was very similar. Almost identical.
Slowly Laura shifts her eyes from her claws to Robbie, then lets them slowly descend back into her hand. "Not a fun party trick. Just a weapon."

Ghost Rider (Reyes) has posed:
She has a nice voice.

Robbie /almost/ joins her in the chorus. Instead, he swings another third of his beer down his gullet. He looks at Laura when she shows him what the magician has up her sleeve. He's never met a Wolverine - whatever the hell that is - but she's got some killer knifeage in her hands. "Well, you've got easy weapons. Not everyone can say the same. Don't want to know who's been on the wrong end of those."

Robbie looks at the bar. His reflection is some kind of skull, if a skull is a mechanical monsterosity. It was covered in some kind of fire and its maw was spiked teeth.

"You don't want to know my trick."

X-23 has posed:
Laura gives a half laugh at his choice of words, "I am the weapon. These..." she moves her fist around, "Is just the cherry on top." For a moment, it looks like her eyes flash red, but then they go back to the normal green. Could have been a play on your eyes, or it actually happen.
Very little gets by Laura, and when she looks down towards her beer, she notes a fiery reflection in gloss of the bar. It pushes her to ask, "What about you? You got any party tricks up your sleeve?"
As if finally deciding that she wants to relax or at least try to, she slips onto a bar stool... and by slips its more of a hop up considering how short she is.

Ghost Rider (Reyes) has posed:
"That's intense, chica." Robbie tells her. "I know a thing or two about weapons." Sending people to Hell was a shitty job to have. Laura's dispatched some shitbags in her day probably, Robbie literally feeds their souls to a Demon. The Ghost Rider. Laura looks at the bar and the flaming visage shifts it's eyes to her while Robbie still looks down.

<I like this one, kid.> Eli's ghastly voice echoes into the void.

"My only gift is pain. You seem a nice lady, would hate for you to see it." She's getting comfortable though. Great sign! "Hellfire and brimstone."

X-23 has posed:
Laura scoffs, "Nice? I don't think I've ever been nice in my life." picking up her beer she finishes it, "Another." she calls to the bartender, calling out for the same order that she already had. "Lets just skip the whole 'your nice, I'm nice' blah blah blah ok? I see the flames. If you're trying to save me from something, you really should just get over yourself. I've seen it all."
The next shot and pint come her way and again, she takes the shot like it was water, shooting it back and slamming the glass on the table, wishing the damn alcohol did anything to her, but yet, no. She cant get drunk and its damn irritating.

Ghost Rider (Reyes) has posed:
Robbie starts to laugh. "If you say so, chica." Robbie doesn't provide her a counterpoint. She's seen everything. Maybe she hasn't seen a Sin-Eater. He simply drinks the rest of his beer and puts it back down. "I can burn peoples souls and send them to Hell, for lack of a better term." Robbie orders another beer.

At least she's a straight shooter.

X-23 has posed:
Laura blinks at Robbie at his confusion, "This is suppose to impress me or scare me or...?" Laura just stares at him for a minute. Then she laughs, "Good for you. There are a lot of sins that need to be eaten, I hope you get full... in, I'm sure you get full cause there is too many." The later part of his explanation gets a look, then a nod, "I'm sure we'll meet some day for you to send me to hell, so I'm glad to meet you ahead of time." She says darkly.
When he orders another beer, she falls silent, her song choice was over and something else starts to play, something she didn't pick, so she wasn't into it as much. Picking up her own beer she drinks half.
