Shredder has posed:
Nuuk, Greenland isn't the place people think of when it comes to industry. Most people have never even heard of it. A sleepy little settlement, while it is the largest city in the country, it's still less than a population fo 20,000. It's a strange place for the general to have requested LexCorp to send the large amounts of elecronics, power converters, and transmission components.

Something most probably wouldn't think of when it comes to deliveries of materials, because most wouldn't even give the town a second thought. The summer is still cool here, green grasses and quiet villages. A few hotels exist for the tourists. What doesn't exist? Warehouses. Factories. The port here is large enough to accomodate exactly one large shipping vessel, and there isn't one now. Fishing boats, some small near shore shipping boats exist trolling along the coast line as they travel up and down the coast of the cold country, but not large enough for intercontinental travel, that's for certain. A very strange place for the general to have requested the shipments to be sent.
Lex Luthor has posed:
Lex didn't get to where he is today by being an idiot.

He didn't get to where he is today by being gullible.... and he didn't get to where he is today by allowing threads like these to remain unpulled.

He's been tracking shipments and getting the lay of the land here covertly for some time. It started with a phone conversation out in the middle of the ocean, and has slowly been monitored for... issues. Today, Lex has learned all he can without poking the bear, so to speak... and it's time to act.

This will be a two pronged operation. The shipments continue; Lex has covertly planted a surveillance and spy team on the ship he's ordered to actively track where the cargo goes from the port... and is going to leave them to that barring serious interference.

Lex? He's going to be covertly commanding a special forces mercenary team he's handpicked for this job, with some Light personnel on standby in case of powered assistance. He aims to make an impression of a third party raiding the HQ here... and he wants /people/.... and records, if they can be found. This whole thing stinks.

Having arrived a day ago and setting up inside a cargo container nearby, both teams are on standby as Lex starts to type into the command workstation inside.

The warsuit? On standby near him, ready to fold down over him.

"Status reports, all teams."
Shredder has posed:
The town seems so very unassuming. Nothing seems very unusual. In fact, even the things that SHOULD be unusual, like seeing large shipping vessels, aren't there. An occasional shipment comes from the European mainland, but nothint seems to arrive from anywhere in North America. Then again, none of the North American shipments have successfully made it to this town in some time. Why the General hasn't complained is anyone's guess. He has continued to send his payments without any consideration for the fact that the last four vessels never seemed to get to him with the needed electronics.

The address of the warehouse, or, at least, where the warehouse is supposed to be, is nothing of the sort. It's a power plant equipment storage, used to house redundant components for the local power plants. The building is large to be sure, but it's also not a public access. It's housed directly next door to the plant, electric wires criss crossing the sky above it, off a distance from the scenic landscape, so that it doesn't detract from the visual appeal of the land.
Lex Luthor has posed:
Ok... he had hoped that coming in person would make the inconsistancies drop, but apparently this is just going to get more confused.

Nothing for it, he has to start this.

"Team 2, bring the bug around and start your sweep. I want anyone you find and computers searched. Once the immediate area is secure, bring in the sensor equipment and check for rooms and tunnels." Lex switches to team 1's channel, "Team 1, any sign of interest?"
Shredder has posed:
"Team 1, no sign of any outgoing shipments currently," comes the report. "We are checking on the local databases, there...there's only been two shipping vessels to arrive from the mainland in the last month. Neither seemed to have a delivery for our target. Sir, are you sure this address is accurate?"

Team two arrives outside of the storage facility. The security is weak to say the best. Locks, but not even any real security cameras seem to be present. In a town of 20,000 people, there's not much need for anything significant to prevent theft. The little town seems so sleepy, the very presence of the second team on the ground gathers a little attention, mostly from the neighborhood youth. A handful of teens seem to have noticed the action, and have perched on a balcony casually about a hundred yards away, chatting amongst each other and watching, clearly curious what such a team could possibly be doing in their town.
Lex Luthor has posed:
"No, I'm not. This entire operation is designed to flush anyone here out. Keep on it. If anything changes, let me know." Lex informs them before he switches to team 2 again, "I'm seeing the feeds from your helmets. Be cautious of covert defenses. With what we know of the target, this may just be a front."
Shredder has posed:
The second team continues their engage, moving up to the storage facility. When they get there, locks are easily broken, and the only security they encounter is a security guard in his sixties, who surrenders quickly, terrified at such a team's presence. Inside there is exactly what was advertised. A storage facility. Replacements for a powerplant that isn't even up modern standards. It's about forty years old. Nothing that would impress anyone. In fact, most of the smaller pieces could otherwise be found in a child's classroom to explain old technology.

But there's something else. A signature of energy seems to be nebulously present. There's interference from all of the other equipment, but something has a much more powerful signature than the rest. It's... the main door to the facility.
