Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Supergirl, Wonder Woman

Supergirl has posed:
High above the clouds of the Sheal Dockyards floats Kara Danvers or, given her current be-costumed and de-spectacled state, Supergirl. She's got a rather stern expression on her normally bright and bubbly face, and that's because, in the docks below, it has been rumored that there is trouble afoot. The breeze catches her red skirt, making the thin fabric ripple against her thighs. That same breeze catches her blonde hair, causing a similar, if not somewhat more chaotic effect. High above the clouds like this, Supergirl is better able to filter out the sights and sounds of Gotham City below and simply concentrate on the dock itself.

Conversation. Business as usuall. A hustle and bustle, but one that is to be expected at a busy dockyard and industrial port. Supergirl sighs softly and turns to look over her shoulder, the sound of someone familiar and fast approaching drawing her attention briefly away from what had drawn her out here in the first place.

"Wonder Woman," Supergirl says with a smile.
Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana did not often patrol any more. As Ambassador for Themyscira, and a member of the League, she has other things to occupy her time these days. But...

There are days where she does take to the skies to think. To be alone as she works over one particular political issue or another. It always helps her to unclutter her mind.

Seeing Kara, she smiles and flew toward the blonde before slowing to hover. "Super Girl. It is lovely to see you. Have you been well?"
Supergirl has posed:
Supergirl's posture takes up a less defensive stance when Wonder Woman approaches. The arms that once folded across her midsection now hang a little more loosely at her side, and the stern expression written across her features has softened into a simple smile. Supergirl knows that her friend doesn't often patrol. Not these days. So there's a look of curiosity that's written alongside what is simply Supergirl happy to see a friend.

"Well enough, I suppose. Enjoying the sun and the sky and a bit of Gotham City's freshest air," she says with a laugh. A tip of her head down towards the docks which, from this high up, look as if they may as well be models or toys.

"I got a tip that there might be something unsavory going on at the docks but... well. I should know better than to believe someone could sneak something in through Batman's back yard."

Beat.

"And what about you, Miss Ambassador? To what do I owe this esteemed pleasure?" she says, lips quirked in a smile, her tone of voice vaguely teasing, but also fond.
Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana smiles warmly as Kara replies. "Mmm.. " A glance down to the docks and a nod. "I do imagine any who try to sneak anything in through Gotham would be on a fool's errand."

She looks back, "Me? Oh, I am just out for enjoyment today. I needed to get away from meetings and arrogant representatives so I could clear my thoughts." She shrugs a bare shoulder. "Sometimes, it is like trying to babysit a whole room full of infants.."
Supergirl has posed:
"I can't say I envy you," Kara says with a laugh. She seems to relax fully now, reaching her hands up to press to the back of her head. Fingertips run through strawberry blonde hair that's gone a bit honeyed in the summer sun. Soft, pink-tinted lips curl into a cat-like smile. "Babysitting infants. Herding cats. I feel like I'd rather do the latter, though, y'know. Babies have their own unique sort of charm," she says.

Another glance is spared down to the docks below, and she folds her arms back over her midsection once again. That smile is replaced with a scowl, and she tips her shoulders a touch forward, gravity pulling her skirt down around the backs of her thighs. "Still... I can't help but get the feeling that there's something wrong. Even though it's quiet it feels... I don't know," Kara murmurs.

"I can't quite place my finger on it."
Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana laughs softly. "It is okay. I do not mind. It is what I have been called to. I would not expect others to endure as I must." She looks fondly toward the blonde. Her gaze follows Kara's down toward the docks. A tilt of her head.

"There is no harm in looking more closely. And if Batman decides to complain, I will set him straight so you do not have to" she offers.
Supergirl has posed:
Kara's lips quirk up into an amused smile at Diana's offer to sort out Batman if he gives her lip. Though she's more than capable of handling the likes of Bruce Wayne herself, there's something about Diana's offer that has a certain appeal.

Plausible deniability, perhaps.

"I think I might take you up on that offer," Kara says, body straightening in the air once again as her blue eyes turn away from the docks and back towards the woman floating beside her. "But not yet. For now, I think I'd like to catch up with a friend, hmm? Can I fly with you? I promise we don't have to talk about work."
Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana smiles warmly. "Of course. I did not have a real destination in mind. But perhaps south along the coast? I have not been down to see the sand dunes along the Outer Banks in some time..." She tilts her head and turns to begin flying in that direction.

"And no work. Or League business. So what shall we talk of?" A playful glance of those blue eyes, "Have you found any worthy suitors that Clark has not scared away?"
