Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow was nervous. Extremely nervous.

For one thing, it was Friday night. For another thing, Buffy was coming over! *squeeeeeee* She'd gotten permission - because of who Buffy was. But, and it was a big but, she wasn't allowed to let Buffy touch the controls.

Easy, right?

Everyone was out on the streets on the weekends.. What she was supposed to look for was interplanetary troubles. And to keep an eye out if anyone needed help planetside.

Double easy.. right?

So why did she feel nervous? Oh yeah. Willow hadn't spent time with Buffy for.. gosh.. it might have been a year?

Breathe Willow, breathe.

Buffy Summers has posed:
This was an exciting day for Buffy. Because if she had been here before, she didn't remember it. So this was an all new experience. She'd only heard of the Watchtower from Willow, having not realized that the Justice League watched over the planet in this way. It was kind of reassuring. Though at the same time, she was a little jealous.

It'd be great to have a Slayer-Tower to monitor for stuff on a planetary scale. Though, it was just her. Wait. No. There were only two Slayers. For an entire planet. That might get terrifying if they realized how much stuff they were missing.

She took the transport up, still not sure she appreciated being zapped into nothing and recreated on the other side. But either way, she was here now. And there was her bestie! Her bestie who not only had helped save Superman but become an actual member of the Justice League.

"Willow!" She looked around then let out a whistle. "This is insane. Are we really in space?"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
What if Buffy didn't come? What then? What if Buffy really didn't forget her past three years and was just spoofing? What if she planned on pointing out Willow and laughing at her? What if..

It just ran downhill from there.

So much was Willow nervous she bit off her only nail that had grown long enough to be bitten off. (Willow was trying to break herself of that habit, to some success.)

Just when she had given up.. Buffy came. And for all intents and purposes, she was as nervous as Willow was. "You came! I mean.. come in, come in! Isn't it weird? The Justice League actually trusts me with their equipment! Neat huh?"

Quickly - before she lost her nerve - Willow wrapped Buffy into a hug. "I've wanted to share this.. this.. everything! With you. And I didn't think I would get a chance to. I almost went out to the West Coast for my Master's."

Buffy Summers has posed:
The hug is immediately returned. This is not the Buffy that had developed over the last few years. This was her best friend who had just gone off to college with her. At least, in Buffy's mind. She was still trying to learn more about what had transpired in the years that had passed but were missing from her memory. It was slow going.

"Of course they trust you with their equipment. You are a very trustworthy person!" After all, Willow was her rock. The person that kept her focused and grounded.

But that last comment has Buffy frowning. "Well if you went out west, then I'd have had to find a Hellmouth out there to live near instead. So much hassle. Glad you decided to stay in the Tri-State area. Even if I am still not-drivey..." By choice because she really sucked at it. "At least I can come visit pretty easy this way. So show me everything!"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Well, here's where you teleport in. I must confess, then first time that I knew what was being done to me.. yuck! But John - John Constantine - brought me the first times. We used the house. She has doors to /everything/! It's funny, he brought me out of curiosity, and in the end I was important. Funny huh?"

"Wait a minute - were you you or not when we had to rescue Superman?" Cause there was no need to go on without an explanation to catch Buffy up.

Really the transporter looked like.. well, like Star Trek. Nothing to look upon unless you were into that kinda science. (Probably not Buffy's sort of nerdity at all.)

"I put in my applications really kinda late. That way I figured I wouldn't get in this year. Even if you weren't my beste any more I just couldn't imagine breaking up to Scoobies." Well she could have imagined, and it broke her heart. "Funny thing, it was like Columbia was just waiting for me. Weird huh?"

(In fact, she had put the offer from them without even noticing before she applied there.)

"Want to see the control towers? Or leave that for last?"

Buffy Summers has posed:
"I remember you were helping with the Superman thing, yes. I'm not sure if he was back or not though. That's sort of hazy for me," Buffy admits as she moves to follow Willow out of that first room. Her head is on a swivel, shifting constantly around as she tries to take in everything all at once. Like the worst kind of tourist because, if not careful, she'll walk right into something. Or Willow if the redhead stops suddenly in front of her.

Buffy gives a shrug of her shoulders. "Whatever you want to show me! I'm the guest so lead on. Is...anyone else up here?" she suddenly asks, a little nervous sounding.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Instead of heading for the control room she took the long way around. "Here is the meeting room where they all meet in times of troubles. I've only been here a few times for emergencies. Most of the times we meet informally. Superman is really nice. You know you would pick him out of a crowd? The chairs are really nice."

"Over there is the way to the arboretum, surrounded by the gym. Sometime people stay here, and they have to be in good shape. Especially Batman. He seems to think if he can't workout the world will fail

Okay. A little bit of an exaggeration on Willow's part.

"There's a little bit of here reserved for staying over. Superman stayed for a while. Though he was sick, and we had him with a guard at all times. Around here are civilians with extra super secret security clearance."

Buffy Summers has posed:
"So regular people actually work here?"

For some reason, that surprised Buffy. She thought of it more like a hangout for the superheroes themselves. A working hangout, not like some treehouse where they just spent time. More like the Magic Box. No regular employees there, all Scoobies all the time. Hey, that meant the Magic Box was their Watchtower! She did have a Slayer-Tower!

For some reason, that brought a smile to her face. "I just don't want to run into one of them, y'know? The Justice League members. I'd feel so weird and probably just end up embarassing myself by drooling or something. I mean, c'mon. Those are some hot men." Then she remembers and grins. "Women too!" Since Willow prefers the latter.

She shakes her head a little. "It's so weird you talking about them like they are regular people. You've done good in my blank memory time!"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Me?" Willow blinks. "I just treat them as human beings. Well, you know what I mean. Sometimes I bring cookies! I think they might like them? Or they are too kind to tell me they are horrible.. oh! I /finally/ figured out how to bake oatmeal cookies! I had a friend teach me about potions."

What do potions and oatmeal cookies have in common?!

"I like them equally. Though these days.." And Willow shrugs. "It's been hard to keep anyone these days. Is there something wrong with me?"

Buffy Summers has posed:
"Well, everyone likes cookies." That sums it up for Buffy but then something else sinks in and she looks at Willow in confusion. "What do potions have to do with cookies?"

But before she can really get into that fully, Willow is having a moment. Buffy reaches out to grip her bestie's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Wil, nothing is wrong with you. And just because you're single doesn't mean something is. I mean, have you seem me being able to keep a man?" Then something occurs to her. "Or even keep a not man. Not that I mean a woman. Though nothing wrong with that of course." Since she knew Willow's preferences. "But I mean there was Angel and then apparently that Thomas person. I can't even keep non humans interested in me. So, if you ask me, they are the ones with problems. Can't keep up with all our awesomeness."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Oh! My friend Tala helped me with a whole bunch of my magic - including potions. I just treated them like potions and they turned out better. Not like my chocolate chip, but a lot better than before! She showed me a whole bunch of neat things. I'm kind of sad that she disappeared."

For a moment, Willow pouts.

"Bummer. Oh!" As they rounded about the corridor to the workstation, Willow stops. "Want to know a secret? I want to tell it to someone! You know Henri? I've got a secret from him."

Buffy Summers has posed:
"You have to ask?"

Buffy giggles like a school girl when she says that because Of Course she wants to hear secrets from her bestie. She's still been ogling at everything around them but finally turns and gives her full attention to Willow.

"Tell me everything!"

Diana Prince has posed:
Footsteps echo down the corridor approachng the monitoring room. Diana enters holding a table in hand, gazing at the display. She glances up, curiously, at voices.

"Oh. Willow." She smiles warmly, "Hello. Is it your rotation or monitoring duty?" She looks curiously over at her visitor. "Hello" she offers politely.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"You know that Henri is Hellequin at night, right?" Willow is relieved to tell best friend again, she giggles to. (Even if the secret isn't funny!)

"We helped him rescue his girlfriend from a witch's burning back in the day." A long.. long ago day. "He said goodbye to her, and walked away. But the magic let me bring her to our time - after all she couldn't stay where she was, right? Only I haven't told him yet. I don't know if I will tell him, but, phew! It feels better to get that off of my chest!"

Opening the doors to the operations she lets Buffy go through first.

And that's about when Diana is spied. Correction: Diana spies them. Of course she's in the room, d'uh. "Uh.. " Who was she supposed to replace? Or work with..

Think, Willow. Think.

WW.

Who was WW? ooooh.. Wonder Woman. Diana. That's why. Oooops? Surprise?

"I got permission to show my friend Buffy around before I took over an extra shift." *Blush!* "uh Diana meet Buffy. Buffy meet Diana. Buffy is THE Slayer." There. she did it!

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy did know about Henri and Hellequin. She had a vague memory of that. Though she wasn't sure why she remembered that. She listened quietly but then her eyes went wide when Willow mentioned what she had done. "You saved his girlfriend from being burned? Isn't that dangerous to the timeline and stuff? Won't it make people start disappearing and stuff?" SHe'd seen Back to the Future on Netflix! All three of them! "Although I guess if she was dead and came forward then it would make sense? I mean not forward dead but thought dead and brought forward."

But as they moved into that next room, Buffy's eyes went wide and her mouth fell open. Though Willow was used to hanging out with the superheroes, Buffy was not. "I...you....you're Wonder Woman!" Because of course Diana didn't know who she was, right? Get it together, Buffy!

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana Prince smiles, "Well that is good, then, Willow." She hadn't intended to give the young woman a hard time over a visitor but it is good to know that proceedure was followed.

"Buffy. Hello. Willow has mentioned your name before. It is an honor to meet someone so accomplished." She crosses over to the two women to offer Buffy her hand in greeting. Her eyes sparkle with amusement.

"I have been told that I am, yes. I prefer to simply be Diana, however."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"We timed it to be out of the flames. Mind you, Henri - well Hellequin kind of ruined that sorta. We had it all figured out. With Nick using his powers to take Heloise out through dreamland, and me making the fire smokier and hotter than it should have been. Well the appearance of that. Hellequin made a ruckus that we could not avoid."

Willow rolled her eyes.

"I told him to stay back. The fire burned hot - so hot it would have burned all trace of her away. Hopefully the ruckus he caused didn't interfere with our plan. We timed it precisely. At least he was away from Heloise, and had many people on their knees praying."

"Like I said she couldn't stay there after."

As Buffy makes the connection between Diana and Wonder Woman, Willow giggles. Not even seeing how differently she treats people like Diana compared to, say, Buffy. "See?" She whispers to Buffy. "She prefers Diana. She's really nice. Even more so than I am!"

Buffy Summers has posed:
That wasn't possible. For someone to be nicer than Willow. Everyone knew that, especially Buffy.

But facing one of the greatest heroes on the planet was enough to awe Buffy. "Di-Diana. Okay." She took a deep breath and held it a moment then tried again. Much better, her voice wasn't shaky like she was on one of those fun park riders that rattled the floors in the funhouse.

She offered her hand. "I'm Buffy. Wait. Wil already said that. And you're Diana. And you already know that. I got this!" That last was a little mental boost for herself and she finally got that smile on

"It's really an honor to meet you." She did glance over at Willow, filing all the Heloise and Henri stuff away for consideration later. "So you and Nick together? Huh. Wonder if the pair of you could figure out what happened with me."

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana Prince smiles to Willow, "I am certain that there is no one more considerate or nice than you, Willow. That would surely be impossible."

Then to Buffy she laughs gently, not to make fun of her, "It is all right. I do not bite. Or Snap." Unless she is extremely angry. And that? Well no one is having a good day if Diana happens to be angry.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"I could ask him? You spent more time with him than me during that time?" Willow bites at her lower lip at that.

But she can't help the blush creeping up her neck and head. "Everyone says that! I just don't see it." Well a little bit.

"Buffy was wondering what we did here. You might know better than I?"

Buffy Summers has posed:
"Thank you. I'm sorry that I'm so nervous. Just not used to meeting someone of your stature. Both as a hero and a princess." Because she knew of Princess Diana of Themyscira, as did many people in the world. Though she didn't know her personally which Willow did. Her bestie had done good in her life.

"I don't really remember a lot about Nick either," Buffy admits, a little embarassed. Then she looks at Diana. "I sort of had an incident where I lost the last two plus years of my memories. So I'm still filling in the blanks. Wil is right though, I'm curious about this place. I know she comes up here and does watch duty but the idea that we're actually in space makes my brain boggle."

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana Prince smiles to Willow at the question about what is done in the monitoring room. A nod is offered and she looks to Buffy, "It is really okay. We are all friends. And anything else that we are is secondary to that."

"The Watchtower is a nation-neutral location or Justice League members to meet and deploy from that does not leave us beholden to any particular country. It is true that we answer to the United Nations. But having the tower in space leaves us better able to apply unilateral support and not have any single nation feel like they are more entitled to League assistance than any other may be." In other words it is largely for political/non-partisan reasons.

"It does help that the teleportation system can be accessed easier from any point on the planet from an orbital platform than if it were in a fixed geographic location. The monitor room is where we watch international feeds to keep track of any developing events or crisis that the League members could respond to quickly in order to try and minimize the over all impact."

Looking around, Diana smiles, "We have meeting rooms for when truly neutral ground is needed for settling international disputes. We have living quarters, a gym, entertainment space and a full kitchen so that those on Tower rotation may feel as comfortable as possible."

A warm laugh is offered, "Yes. Being in space does take a little adjustment. Particularly when the gravity field acts up and we find ourselves floating around instead of walking."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
As Diana speaks more eloquently than she could, Willow watches Buffy.

When Buffy speaks of Nick, Willow looks sad. "He misses you for your workout sessions, Buffy. I know he does, even if he doesn't say it to your face, he misses you."

When Diana mentions the zero-G A on the space station, Willow's eyes go round. "And sometimes the Enchantress takes the gravity out on purpose."

Buffy Summers has posed:
As Diana explains what the Watchtower represents, Buffy listens closely. A nod here or there, just to make sure Diana knows she's paying attention. "I wondered why. That makes so much more sense now." The whole not beholden to a single country but watching over them all. It was kind of poetic. Not that she was going to say that outloud. Because she'd feel silly. "Thank you. For explaining. And being so nice," she added with a smile to Di.

Then again to Willow. "I should reach out to him. Try to get back to that." For him. Not for her as she didn't remember that. But some of her relationships during the between times should be maintained and renewed. Those that were unhealthy for her and others? Not so much.

"I can't imagine trying to fight in zero-G. I'm guessing you all train for that or something?"

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana Prince smiles to both women as they speak. "Yes. There are those with the League who are not above playing pranks. Or holding the opinion that unplanned for zero gravity drills should be maintained at any time to keep the rest of the members alert and prepared for anything" her tone suggests this is not quite an opinion she shares.

"You are very welcomme Buffy. Anyone Willow considers a friend is someone I should like to know better. I will admit that my knowledge of, mm, your Slaying? Is not very defined. Perhaps sometime we might talk of that. There are things I am certain I might learn from you." She offers a warm smile. "And any time you are in Manhattan, you are welcome to visit the Themysciran Embassy. If I am availabe I would be pleased to show you around if you would like."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"It was.. interesting. Some were thrown into a null space. And some had no ability to do anything like that. Some people like Mon-el could. And Superman was taken out. It was quite the wake up call for us. ..Uh.. don't tell. We keep it quiet so the people on earth aren't frightened. They haven't heard how close we were to losing him." Willow begs Buffy.

When Diana speaks of Slaying, she nods. "Buffy is instrumental in keeping the other kinds of bad guys away. She knows all sorts of ghosts and demons. Without her, your job would be twice as hard." Willow is proud of her friend, that much is clear.

Buffy Summers has posed:
And when Willow compliments on top of Diana, now it was Buffy's turn to blush. "I mean, I'd love to come by and see the Embassy. But I doubt there is anything I can teach you. I mean, unless you want to know the best way to kill certain species of demons. Then I'm your gal," she adds with a bit of a laugh.

She grins over at Willow and shakes her head a little. "You give me a lot more credit than I think I've earned. It never feels like I do enough. But, speaking of, it's going to be night soon. And I need to patrol."
