A nice day for a flight

Location:	Somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean
Synopsis:	Koriand'r and Diana enjoy a nice afternoon of down time, flying out over the ocean as they get to know each other a little better.

Wonder Woman has posed:
It is almost noon in Manhattan. For a fall day, the skies are clear and blue. It has not quite grown cold enough at night for the leaves to truly begin to change.

In the skies over the city, Diana met with Koriand'r. It was an opportunity to get out and do something that always attracts attention when in the city - flying.

Diana hover well above the Themysciran Embassy at the agreed upon time.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r loves flying, and it comes as naturally to the Tamaranean princess as for all her people. But for her it also represents her freedom, as she was never allowed to take to the air when she was a slave.

Her hair blazes fiery contrails when she flies, as it does so now when she meets with Diana to spend time together in the air doing something they both love.

As she approaches the embassy and sees Diana hovering, she floats gracefully near to the Amazon, twirling joyfully "Hello Diana! I see you are ready! This will be so much fun! You, me, and the skies!"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince smiles as Kori comes into view. Her eyes shine with amusement at the joyous display as Kori flies along without a care.

"Hello Koriand'r. It will be nice to be away from all of the pulling attentions of the city and my duties. To have an afternoon to appreciate the beauty of nature." Beginning to fall into motion beside Kori, she looks over, "Shall we head to the north? The west? To the south? What is your preference?"

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r takes off upward at first, starting off below the speed of sound while around buildings to prevent any window rattling. With her blazing fire streams behind her she looks a bit like a purple and orange meteor... only those usually just fall downwards.

Calling out to Wonder Woman "How about East, over the ocean?" she arcs that way as they rise up to the level that would normally contain the lower altitude clouds but is currently clear of floating moisture. She keeps pace with Diana at first... but then with a grin she pulls just ahead, waiting for her to fly faster to catch up or pass her whereupon she'll increase the speed again, keeping up a laughing competition as she heads to the sea.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince is dressed in her iconic armor. With a soft laugh, she turns, "East it is then." East and higher into the sky.

She keeps her speed matched with Kori until they are away from shore and over the Atlantic. There she laughs again, her dark hair streaming back between her shoulders. The sun reflects off of her tiara and bracers. When Kori decides to try an out race her, her eyes sparkle with mirth and she speeds up again, then does indeed shoot past Kori, exceeding her speed by a good amount.

She is not ceratin if she is truly faster than Kori, but she is happy to play amongst the clouds with the other. It is truly care free and relaxing.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r can go multiple times the speed of sound in atmo, but it isn't until she gets into space that her speed can really open up to near lightspeed. It is a strange quirk of her flight that while within the gravity well of a planet she is limited to the multi-Mach range.

And today is npt about flying up to space. Maybe next time.

So likely Diana is faster down here. Kory does not mind. She enjoys soaring next to the Amazon, letting the wind flutter her long red mane of hair as it does Diana's darker one. At one point as they fly over the glittering water Kory divebombs at Mach 6 to disappear underwater with a great big SPLOOSH onto to shoot back up laughing a few seconds later in a trail of water behind her falling in droppets from her costume, as a pod of dolphins jump joyously in her wake.

Kory spends what feels like hours in the air with Diana, all of it wonderful. Playing, drifting, racing and exploring.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince continues to smile as Kory plays and revels in the freedom of the afternoon. As the redhead sets an eye watering pace and dives under the ocean only to erupt again and slow down to play with a pod of dolphins, she cannot help but laugh. The exuberance is contageous after all. Diana does not fly so fast down toward the water, taking a more leisurely pace, but she falls into formation, flying along just above the surface of the water to join in the interactions with the dolphins.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r emits a series of squeals and clicks that has the dolphins responding in kind with apparent excitement. She turns to Diana and says "I invited them to a game of 'Who Can Do The Flashiest Flips'... if you're not afraid of getting a little wet?" She grins cheekily at the Amazon and joins the pod, splashing underwater and launching herself above the sea and only using her own momentum to perform trick flips rather than cheating with her flight. Several dolphins are quite impressive at the game, one doing a jumping spin that has water arcing off its fins beautifully as Kory claps and laughs. She gives Diana a challenging look.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince laughs. "I see!" She looks down at the dolphins then back to Kory as the redhead proceeds to show off her skills. With a smile, Diana offers applause for the performance. "Spectacular. The both of you."

She looks innocently at Kory's attempted challenge. "What? I am a princess and an ambassador. We do not... romp.. in the ocean." There is a hint of pomp and circumstance to her declaration, even if a smile tugs at her lips and shines in her eyes.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r raises a disbelieving eyebrow "I have it on good authority that princesses DO romp in the ocean" as she points at herself. "I wouldn't know about ambassadors, but if that stuffy sounding title keeps you from having fun and letting your hair down and most importantly getting *wet*..." and here she flies low enough to kick a splash of water Diana's way. Of course she would be able to dodge, it was more about the playfulness of it than actually getting the princess wet. "...then what good is it?" She grins "and weren't you the one telling me you didn't care about being a princess? No backsies!...I am not quite sure if I have that expression right?..."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince huffs. "Do not presume to lecture me, youngling!" She dips low enough to splash Kory back with a smirk. She looks to the dolphins and leans in to whisper to them. With an innocent smile, she watches as the entire pod of dolphins begin to jump and flick their tails to splash Kory. While the distraction is keeping Kory busy, Diana dives under the water and erupts near her friend, spiraling and using her dark hair to whip a spray of water droplets at Kory with a laugh.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r exclaims "youngling!" as she laughs at getting splashed back, only to widen her eyes as she sees Diana whispering to the dolphins. "I forgot you could also speak with anim- hey! hahaha! stop that you!" as she gets drenched with water while the pod snickers at her with their clicks.
And then Diana emerges from under the surface in a twist that leaves Kory breathless as she watches her girlfriend's gracefulness... and gets a face splashing for her gawking. Giggling, she smiles bashfully at Diana, not caring to hide the affection and attraction she held for the older woman just then. "That is more like it. I knew you couldn't possibly be *that* reserved!"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince looks to Kory with a pleased smile. "There are many talents that I possess." With a wink to the dolphins, she trails a few fingers in the water while talking with Kory. "I am entirely reserved. If you tell anyone about this, I will deny it all" her tone suggests nothing of the sort however.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r smiles all teeth "I hope I get to see these many talents of yours" she says with a look that would properly be described as salacious.
At the declaration Kory giggles "I am fairly sure that if I told this to anyone they would look at me as though I had gone mad. Diana of Themyscira? Romping? Hm I could tell the Flash, or no how about Plastic Man!" She teases you with the most likely heroes to be jokesters about this.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince seems oblivious to the hints. Or at the least she doesn't respond to them in the moment beyond a sideways glance. She then looks innocent. "They would never believe you. I do not 'do' things such as you are suggesting I have.." then she laughs merrily and reaches up to wring the water from her hair and shake it out so that it will dry as it flows back between her shoulders.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r has a burst of even bigger affection and she gives in to it, flying over to glomp her arms around Diana as she just finishes wringing out her hair and giving her THE biggest hug "thank you for flying with me today Diana. Where shall we go next?" The pod of dolphins has continued their game of best flipster. She whistles farewell and good playing to them, receiving a chorus of their high pitched goodbyes.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince flies higher and cannot help but blink and laugh as Kori hugs her. "You are welcome, Koriand'r. It is a lovely day for it. And to share your company." She considers a moment. "I.. " she shoots a conspiratorial glance toward Kori, "..want ice cream. I think we should head toward Vermont. They make the best maple flavored ice cream."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r smiles and releases the hug and drifts at ease as Diana thinks. She wrinkles her nose at the suggestion of getting ice cream "very well, but I think afterwards I will need some mustard to wash it down. Ice cream tastes very bitter to me you know. Do you suppose they have mustard flavored ice cream?" That prospect seems to get her excited.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince looks over as she realizes she didn't consider Kori's sense of taste. "Oh. I didn't consider that, Koriand'r. I am sorry. There is a nice little shop that serves hot dogs as well as ice cream? There is nothing that says you must have the same foods that someone else does? It is the time together that is most important" she offers with a smile.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r beams at that suggestion and twirls mid-flight "You do not need to feel sorry Diana, we are still getting to know each other after all. But your idea sounds like a wonderful compromise. You shall have the ice cream and I shall consume the hot dogs loaded with sauerkraut and extra mustard! And we shall both be happy because we are with each other! Now then... um... " she smiles sheepishly at the Amazon "which way is Vermont?"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince smiles as Koriand'r warms to the revised idea. "It does sound like a fun time. I may have a hotdog as well." Even if she tries not to consider how they're made. She learned very early on to avoid inquiring too deeply with some things in Man's World.

Pausing to hover, Diana looks to the sun and their shadows cast down onto the ocean belore. "It is.. that way. To the North-Northwest. We will find the coast and can adjust from there easily enough. Shall we?" She smiles and begins to slowly fly in the indicated direction.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods in happy agreement, blushing slightly "oh! of course you can have a hotdog too, I will not eat them all. Although I do eat a lot. I have nine stomachs you know."

She flies after Wonder Woman trusting in the older heroine's sense of direction and familiarity with Earth's geography "yes we shall" she tentatively reaches out to affectionately take hold of Diana's fingers in her own.
