Catwoman has posed:\<br\>It's a chilly February night in the park and a light powder of snow blankets the landscape in glittery display. Most people are hurrying home from work, eager to get indoors before an impending snowstorm. \<br\>\<br\>A certain wealthy businessman by the name of Jacob Smart, wealthy land owner and businessman involved in real estate would normally be waiting for a limousine, but it seems as he steps out of an expensive restaraunt tonight, he has a pretty lady on each arm, both of whom he is entertaining with a walk through the park. Perhaps he is still headed to an expensive limousine, or perhaps he is hoping to impress them by pointing out everything in the city that he owns.\<br\>\<br\>It is a lonely night, and there aren't a lot of other people out tonight - save for a dark figure clad in black leather, who stands perched in a nearby tree, watching the wealthy man make his way towards a facility as the two women retreat to a washroom to check their makeup or whatever. She stares down at her claws, freshly sharped and smiles wickedly as she waits for the man to be completely alone. The look in her eyes suggests that she's not here for a social call..
Superman has posed:\<br\> Sometimes there are a few events that can bring heroes together. Usually a large scale threat, be it intergalactic or domestic. Weather is an odd one. Because it's technically a domestic threat. However, there's no malice behind it. Any cause can be viewed as an act of God (or Gods), science and other things. That's why Superman is flying above Bristol. Weather just tends to hurt people, randomly. \<br\>\<br\> Sadly, other dangers besides icy weather is lurking tonight. And it doesn't take too much to wind up on Superman's radar. He's up too high to see what Selina is planning. Perhaps the scream of Catwoman's victim would be enough to bring him in.
Catwoman has posed:\<br\>Catwoman is too busy focusing on her prey to pay attention to red and blue flashes in the sky, especially when it's dark and snowy. Once the man is completely alone, she leaps swiftly and gracefully from the tree, then pulls out her whip, lunging at him, snagging him around the neck and tugging him towards her. He certainly does let out a scream, a rather loud one at that.
Superman has posed:\<br\> And Clark hears the scream. There's a rush of wind that's concentrated followed by a "Thud!" That wind goes toward Catwoman's way. And the thud is directly behind her. She'll feel something tap her shoulder. Just in case Catwoman ignores him, Superman will clear his throat. "Ah-hem," the noise leaves his lips and he waits. Superman is solid, like a walking brick wall stuffed into a 6'5" frame.
Catwoman has posed:\<br\>She hears the rush of wind first..Followed by a loud thud! And then she sees him, probably the last person she wanted to see. And here, in Gotham? What is this world coming to?! "Superman!? What the hell..." her grip on the man loosens, enough for him to break free, and he does so, screaming and running like a madman, probably having forgotten completely about his two arm ornaments.\<br\>\<br\>"Oh great.." She scowls. "You let that monster get away..You DO realize he tried to kill a friend of mine a few months ago? I just wanted to..Question him." Well. Maybe teach him a lesson first. But..
Superman has posed:\<br\> Hearing her, there's another rush of wind and Superman is waiting in front of the guy. "Is what she tells me true? And why?" Right now, Superman just wants the facts. Batman is turning a blind eye to her or has a soft-spot for Catwoman. And so, Superman is trying to respect that. However, he is a reporter underneath that suit. Right now he just needs to figure out the facts.
Catwoman has posed:\<br\>The man doesn't get far before Superman blocks his path. He looks quite hysterical now and he steps back, eyes wide with fear. "Superman! Arrest that criminal! Isnt that what you do? She's the one trying to kill me, I never hurt anyone. I have no idea what she's talking about.."\<br\>\<br\>At that moment, the two women return from the washroom, both of them looking like ditzy pretty faces in bright mini dresses, probably not super smart. Definitely little more than arm candy. "Jacob sweetie, what's going on?" they return to his sides, each grabbing an arm, although they peer at Superman and swoon. "Hii, Superman! Did you just rescue him from the big bad Catwoman!?"
Superman has posed:\<br\> Superman will listen to the man's heartbeat. He knows that if someone is lying there' a way to measure the thumping beat. There's a steadiness to the truth. And Superman doesn't use it too often. He does dip into this skill in certain times. This is one of those times. "Is she lying?" Supermana sks, listening to the heartbeat. Catowman can tell that he is laser focused on something.
Catwoman has posed:\<br\>The man's heartbeat seems pretty rapid, but then again he nearly got choked to death by Catwoman - seemingly. Aside from that, Superman might detect some anxiety there, as if he is hiding *something* but his words seem to have at least some honesty to them. "I'm innocent! I never tried to kill her friend. I don't even know what friend she's talking about!" His frown deepens, glaring at Catwoman, "But if you really want to question me further, I invite you to speak to my Lawyer.\<br\>\<br\> The two women cringe against him, "Please Superman, he's a good guy, everyone loves him..Except..Criminals!" they glare at Catwoman. "Can we go now?"\<br\>\<br\>All this time Catwoman glares at the man and with a sigh, starts to stalk off.
Superman has posed:\<br\> Superman begins to focus, dipping into the x-ray vision. He's mixing it with the microscopic vision. Right now, he's looking for evidence. If nothing sticks out then he would focus on the man's driver's license. It's a name he's going to give a mutual plan between Catwoman and Superman. "You do know I have -friends- in this city. And there's one friend in particular," he looks at the man directly in the eye. "He even scares me. And some would say this is -his- city. I hope for -your- sake, you're telling the truth." And that's when Superman speaks his name, loud enough for Catwoman to hear.
Catwoman has posed:\<br\>The man doesn't seem to have anything to hide - either he's really innocent or he's really good at hiding his records. He just smirks at Superman and nods. "Oh, I'm quite aware of the one named Batman. He's doing a good job keeping this town clean of criminals - mostly. Still need to do something about *that* one." he jerks his head towards Catwoman before nodding to Superman.\<br\>\<br\>"Thanks for your help, Superman, looks like I owe you one. Although Catwoman is really the one you need to press charges against. Have a good night!" and he waves cheerfully towards Superman as he heads off with his two girls. Looks like a big expensive limosine is waiting for him at the street corner afterall.\<br\>\<br\>Catwoman sighs as she watches them go, pausing to peer back at them. Superman is given a slightly annoyed but tired look. "I can't prove it - yet, but I know he's the one who tried to kill my friend. He's just very good at covering his tracks. You believe me, don't you? I wasn't going to hurt him. I just wanted to..Talk.."
Superman has posed:\<br\> Superman agrees, "I know, but I got something that may be hard to find. Everything on his lisence. I think our mutual friend can do a lot of good with that information," he says to her, showing his plan. "Besides, he would be more thorough than I could be," Batman is really good at finding information that falls between the cracks. Sky blue eyes looking to her intently for a moment.
Catwoman has posed:\<br\>Catwoman blinks at him, "His License?" she smirks, "So, when did you start becoming a detective? I thought that was Batman's department..Actually, I thought this whole city was his jurisdiction. Dont you belong in Metropolis, handling big time metavillains like, say, Metallo?" she seems equal parts amused and wary, knowing she doesn't stand a chance against him if he chooses to turn her in.\<br\>\<br\>When he studies her for a moment, she scowls, taking a step back. "So. What now, you going to arrest me for attacking an 'innocent' man? You know, I really am trying to turn over a new leaf.."
Superman has posed:\<br\> "What can I say? His tactics can be effective," Superman looks toward her then he points up. "Weather causes issues and every hand helps," then he begins to float above the ground by a few inches. "He's not pressing charges, so a quarell deescalated," he gives a soft smile to her. And yes, Batman will get that man's information in -detail-. "Normally, this -is- his city. There are exceptions to the rules."
Catwoman has posed:\<br\>Catwoman smirks, "Are you saying that even you have issues flying in a snowstorm?" she peers skywards and shivers a bit. It sure is getting cold too, even she is starting to feel it in her lightly fur-lined leather catsuit. "Well, he wont press charges this time..But still, I need to know if he's behind the attempted murder of my friend. No way that was an accident."\<br\>\<br\> Catwoman glances at him thoughtfully, a slightly colder tone to her voice, "And I hope you wont be getting in my way next time either. I could have got a confession out of him easily enough. I wasn't planning on killing him you kow."
Superman has posed:\<br\> "No. The snowstorm brought me here. No one knows what a snowstorm can do, how bad drivers will be. Things that can happen. I'm here to make sure they don't," Superman looks to Catwoman. "Again, I did get his info." And Superman pauses for a moment. \<br\>\<br\> "I may not agree with his methods, but they are effective. Also, he has the common sense to do it in spots that are hidden or the only witnesses are equally calpable. Not an open spot like this," he says just pointing that out. He's not encouraging her to take that into account. However, he does just let those words dangle.
Catwoman has posed:\<br\>Catwoman smirks, "Oh I see, being a boyscout to the hilt. Well, isn't that..Thoughtful of you.." she shrugs, "So what, you got his driver's license. What will you do with it? He's openly known around these parts, owns a good deal of property in this city. Not like it'll be easy to dig up dirt on him but I suppose it's something.."\<br\>\<br\>She chuckles at the comment about Batman and nods. "Of course he does, and I'm no idiot either. But then again, as you can see, it's pretty deserted out here tonight in the middle of an impending snowstorm. Not like many people can see me here. Not like I get many chances to catch him alone in a quiet place like this either.."\<br\>\<br\>Catwoman sighs, pondering her next move. "Well, looks like this storm isn't getting any better. If you do find out anything on that license, then you'll...Let me know, right?"
Superman has posed:\<br\> "Made it to Eagle," Clark says, inadvertantly quoting another famous boyscout from a different state. "Will that stop some people from digging with new information and save time by not needing to look it up." Then he gives a nod. "And you're not either. Remember that," he will try to give Catwoman some advice. If things go sideways, it may create a different day. \<br\>\<br\> "I will let you know, or let Batman know." Focusing Superman starts to slowly fly upward before giving a small wave with a big smile. Then he's off into the dark skies again.
