A friend in need....
Date of Scene: 28 February 2023
Location: Drake Hotel Room 2204
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Thomas Raith, Faith Lehane

Thomas Raith has posed:
It was the middle of the night when the call came. Thomas and Faith hadn't made plans to actually see each other, not that they ever really needed any but still it had seemed like an unspoken agreement that they would each have the night to themselves... Which is why it is odd he'd be calling at 10:30 at night.
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane has been working out with Angel at the Hyperion..But business was slow lately, and so between workouts, she was just hanging out at the bar and drinking..Which was why it was a bit odd to get a call in the middle of the night from Thomas. Not that she really minded, it's been a while since she's seen him, and Faith was always really a night person anyway.

"Hey Thomas, wassup?" she sounds pretty energetic, must be all that alcohol. Or maybe she's eager for some action finally.
Thomas Raith has posed:
The voice that comes over the line doesn't sound like Thomas... which is likely why the first words it says is "Faith, ignore my voice. It's me Thomas." I mean he would, right? He continues "I can prove it if you want bUt I need you to come to me. I'm in room Twenty-two Oh-four of the Drake Hotel. I've got a situation and I need someone who won't ask a bunch of questioins."
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane frowns a bit, a little confused perhaps at his contradictory words. "Uh, what the hell are you talking about? Are you okay?" there is concern in her voice and she isn't even trying to hide it this time. "Drake Hotel..Okay. This better not be some PR stunt or something..I'll be right there."

She hangs up and is already on her way. Hey maybe the night wont be a total waste! Los Altos isn't far from Bludhaven, and so she arrives at the hotel some 30 minutes later, knocking on the door. "Hey, Thomas, you in there?"
Thomas Raith has posed:
What does Thomas and the man who answers the door have in common... Well he's wearing white so that's a start. The man has sandy blonde hair. His ears are just slightly too big and his eyes are a muddy brown. He's not ugly by any stretch but he'd never pass for a White Courtier. Still he takes a deep breath of relief and says "You are deffinately a sight for sore eyes. Come in." He offers letting her into the luxuious hotel suite. It's a suite owned by a woman no doubt, juding by the open suit case full of woman's clothes. The bottle of purfume next to the TV, the dead woman's body laying on the floor and the box of tampons on the bathroom counter.
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane had her doubts when she heard the unfamiliar voice on the phone. She just assumed he was drunk or something..But when she sees who is standing at the door, she scowls a bit. "What the hell? Who're you and how'd you get ahold of Thomas' number?" she clenches her fists, and shakes her head, refusing to step in. "You'd better explain yourself in 10 seconds or less, or else I'll punch yer lights out!"

But, when she sees the dead body on the ground behind him, she wastes no time in throwing a punch at his face. "Shit!"
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith at least /moves/ like Thomas. Steping out of the way of the punch and using a forearm block to push it away. "Empty Night. Look the first time we ever had sex was on the roof of my Club. I was mourning buffy and was basically a mess and you thought a good Shag might help get it out of my system. Which it actually did to a rather alarming degree."
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane blinks in surprise. She's sparred with Thomas enough to know how he moves, how he thinks and how he speaks. He's the only person she knows who says 'empty night' like that too. She frowns, hands still clenched but at least she's relaxed her stance.

"What the hell, Thomas? What's this all about..What did you do to yourself? Oh, don't tell me this is one of those weird crazy body swapping things like when Buffy swapped her body with a vamp? And what's the deal with the dead body? Got a little too rough last night with your lover?" she smirks, wriggling her brows at him.
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith sighs and in what could be seen as a sign of trust, turns his back on Faith and steps away. even Thomas with his super human speed would be hard pressed to block an attack if she seized it now. "Nothing like that." He says walking over to the body, "It's an illusion. It'll go away with Sunrise and a good shower," He offers her a wicked grin which on Thomas face might have been sexy, but on this one just seems lecherous, "If you are a good girl you can join me for that part." he shakes his head, "I can't explain too much. Literally Can Not. Suffice it to say she was a very bad person who did bad things to a little boy, tried to do bad things to Harry, wanted to do even worse things to the entire world, and most evil of all, she did /this/ to me." he says gesturing at his altered form.
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane chuckles a bit, following him into the apartment. "Wow, Thomas. Didn't know you could do magic. Pretty convincing illusion, voice and all. But I prefer your real appearance over this one." the grin causes her to make a face, playfully shoving him away. "Eww, I really dont like your smiles right now, maybe we'll wait til you revert to your normal self before trying anything, hmm?"

She peers down at the body, folding her arms thoughtfully, "So..What is she, a witch? Wait, she turned you into that?" she wrinkles her nose in disgust. "And why can't you explain much more than that? Gee, that's pretty mysterious, even for you, Thomas.."
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith folds his hands slightly, as if in prayer and touches his middle fingers to his lips. "Yes, she is a witch." He agrees after a moment."And yes she turned me into this, which is by the way the face of a serial child abductor and murderer, so fun times there. And I can't tell you more about why I can't tell you more because I can't tell you more." He pauses and shakes his head "Empty night that sounds like something Buffy would have said. Look I promise you, the less you know the better for everyone, including yourself. Have I ever lied to you about anything other then do these jeans make my ass look big?
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane laughs a bit at that. "Well, ain't that somethin', what a f**ing bitch she is." she kicks the leg of the body on the ground, not really caring for her anymore. "Soo, you're wanted now, guess we'd better lay low til sunrise then. But what do with do about the body?"

Faith mutters something and rolls her eyes at mention of Buffy. It's always about Buffy but she doesn't go into that argument for now. "Okay, okay, fine whatever. So why'd you call me? Need me to clean up your mess?" she smirks.
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith sighs a bit standing and running his fingers in that way he does through his now too short hair. "Something like that I suppose. I mean feeding on her to death, which is what I did, should look like a heart attack. But then whatI can't call it in to the police, at the very least i'll be in the cop shop till sunrise and won't that be fun. And the whole can't answert questions goes double for the moral police."
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane frowns, peering at the woman thoughtfully. "I mean, she doesn't look old enough to have died from a heart attack, but we could just..Quietly leave and let someone else find her. Less suspicious than calling police or disposing of the body."

She peers at him as he explains what he did to her. "You are thoroughly disturbing sometimes. Good thing I'm not so easy to kill."
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith nods calmly standing. "Help me search the room first. Make sure there is nothing that might point the cops towards me, Harry, or a little boy named Benjamin Mathes, and that is what we will do." He says in agreement. He stands from the body and moves towards the suitcase "And why do you think so few White Courtiers pull off monogamous relationships? Feed on the same doe exclusively for too long and it doesn't matter how careful you are eventually you are going to do damage."
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane hmms, "But hey, if Harry is with the police, can't he cover for you? Or are you hiding this from him too?" she wrinkles her brow in thought, not really big on the thinking side of things. Really, Faith just wants to punch things instead.

"Okay, search the room, got it." she too, steps towards the suitcase, testing the zipper, hopefully it's not locked. "So what do you suppose is in here..? And who is Benjamin Mathes and why's he so important?"

Ah, so many questions, so little time. She just shrugs at the whole feeding thing. "Yeah, yeah I know. don't worry, I'm not gonna insist we be exclusive or anything. Don't really care who else you sleep with, it's not like we're serious or in 'love' you know? Buffy was an idiot for thinking she could keep you to herself."
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith sighs just a bit, amused. "Harry finding out would be /worse/ then the police. In fact I can only think of one person who knowing all the details would /not/ be catastrophic, and that is Giles. And last I heard he was in England. That said, when I think of "I have a dead body, who can I trust to help me? you were the only name that came to mind." He starts with a drawer and adds, "Benjamin is an innocent. Just a kid the Witch was using. He's with Harry now and hopefully the worst that happens is he has some nightmares from this."
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane chuckles, finding that somehow amusing as she continues to work on the suitcase, browsing its contents assuming it's not locked. "Oh yeah? That sounds weird. Don't you trust your brother more than the 'dark slayer'? she makes air quotes as she says that, smirking. "I'm not exactly used to people coming to me for help." still, maybe she's a bit flattered that he trusts her enough to do so.

"I mean, if it was me, I'd weight it and dump it in the river, but someone would most likely find it and ther would be questions. So this kid is safe? Then we just gotta search this place and leave the hell alone. I just hope no one saw us coming in. At least you're in diguise. Me? Not so much."
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith nods slightly, "I trust you more with this then every other member of the Scoobies combined." He says honestly and makes a face as he finds a small leather bound book. He flips through it and tucks it into his back pocket and keeps looking. "Cameras in the elevators but not the hallways. So they'll know you came to this floor but not what room. Same for me. Hopefully they just accept "heart attack" and don't dig deeper." He nods slightly, "Yeah, the kid is safe. Harry gots him. He's likely halfway back to Sheboygan or Poughkeepsie or wherever this one snatched him from.
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane arches a brow at that and smirks. "Really? That's saying a lot...To be honest, I'm not used to anyone trusting me..Thanks, I guess?" her smile softens just a tad at that. As Thomas is already searching the suitcase, she gets up and wanders around the rest of the room, peeking into the washroom to see what she might find there.

"Okay, that makes me feel a bit better, it'd suck to be wanted for questioning in relation to a murder. But anyways, what exactly ARE we looking for?" she frowns as she goes through the makeup bag on the counter in the washroom.
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith shrugs. "Like I said, anything that might make a curious cop think "Huh, before we close this case, we should go kick over this ant hill over here." He doesn't mention whatever that little book is. Likely part of the whole "Can't say" problem. He chuckles and adds, "Want to hear something that may or may not inflate your ego a bit?" He adds with a chuckle. "While I was waiting for you, I couldn't help but think "Thank God it's Faith and not Buffy I'm dating? Buffy is not someone you can hide a body with."
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane blinks, "Right, like what we talking, illegal drugs? A bloody dagger, stuff like that? I mean, I just see a bunch of makeup and stuff in the bathroom, nothing out of the ordinary. But if she's a witch, she probably has a spellbook, sacrificial dagger, potions..Somewhere. Maybe the kitchen?"

She steps out of the washroom, glancing around thoughtfully, arching a brow at Thomas. Mention of Buffy causes her to smirk, "Oh, really? I mean, she always was a goody goody, wasn't she. Me, I'm not so much like that. Lucky for you." she grins and winks at him.
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith chuckles a little bit, "Well there is that, Believe me there are a few things that I would call you over Buffy for, especially now." He smirkd judt s little bit and adds, "And hiding a body isn't even on the top of the list." He adds with an eyebrow wiggle... which again, doesn't look as good as it would on Thoas.
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane laughs, "Oh yeah, I guess you had to suppress the whole dark side of yourself when you were dating Buffy, didn't you?" she shrugs, "Me, I don't really care..." she peers at him with a smirks, "But I gotta say, you're not nearly so charming in that form..And what other things would you call me over buffy for?"
Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith shakes his head slightly, "What can I say, Pretty Privilege is real." He says with a chuckle and a slight smirk, "Oh if I needed to get completely plastered off of my ass... or needed to get naked and horizonal to forget the world... " He says with a smile. "Don't get it twisted, I loved Buffy. I could have seen my life with her, But you are definatly more fun."
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane laughs and shrugs, "Well, being pretty sure makes you more popular. I doubt I'd be attracted to you if you were stuck in that body..Not like it matters so much when the lights go out if you know what I mean.." she grins and winks wickedly at him. "All the same, I do hope this spell wears off sooner rather than later.."

She's in the kitchen now, searching through cupboards full of pots and pans. Surely that witch had a book of spells or potions or..Something of interest. "Well of course i'm more fun than Buffy, even if I can never replace her in...Other ways.." she frowns a bit at that.
