Its a Sleeper..

Location:	Wellness Office - Xavier's School
Synopsis:	Mysterious revelations are realized after tending to one of the rescued kids from the mountains.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>It has been a few days now, since Billy, Kate and Jane had been rescued from the clutches of an honest to goodness real life Yeti (Or Yetis to be exact). While Billy and Kate seemed well - better than well actually, Jane was still sleeping, still largely non responsive and resting in the Medbay.\<br\>\<br\>Jean has been visiting her quite regularly, her worry only intensified with each passing day. The nurses were doing their best but with their best scientist and doctor, a certain blue furry beast, currently indisposed and elsewhere, Jean was at her wits end, trying to figure out what was wrong with her student.\<br\>\<br\>Jane lays in the bed, apparently in some deep yet troubled sleep as she occasionally tosses and turns, mumbling incoherently from time to time, but totally non responsive to external stimuli. What on earth could be wrong?

Magik has posed:\<br\>Is this demonic possession? \<br\>\<br\>Perhaps some Eldritch horror from beyond the bounds of reality using the student as a conduit to breach teh veil and spread into the realm of mortals? \<br\>\<br\>Illyana is ill equipped to handle matters of mortal, even mutant mortal, health. She is not, however, unequipped for randomly popping up in places where her unique set of talents will be of little good other than by providing company. \<br\>\<br\>She's in a tanktop, black skinny jeans, and boots. With a terrifyingly unnatural plant in a stone pot craddled under her right arm like a mother carrying a baby. "This is medbay." She says to the many eyed vegitation, giving it a tour of the grounds. "And this is head mistress Jean Grey. Dasvidanya Head Mistress Jean Grey." One of the finger stalks wiggles at her too. "He say dasvidanya." \<br\>\<br\>A pause, "Actually he say hello, but they are the same." \<br\>\<br\>Cold blue eyes look to the student laying in the medical bed. "What happen?"

Hulk has posed:\<br\>Adorned in a white coat with his name inscribed over the left breast and wearing dark slacks, nice shoes, and a purple dress shirt is Dr. Bruce Banner. His thick-rimmed glasses rest firmly on the bridge of his nose and his slightly longer hair is swept back,tickling his shirt's collar while his beard had been recently trimmed. Brown eyes look tired, but ever alert. \<br\>\<br\> Jean will have her wish: the scientist, not the muscle, will try and address this issue. Was it possession? No idea. Bruce has little knowledge of the mystic arts beyond what Strange has been willing to share in the past. \<br\>\<br\> He is, however, skilled in mundane(non-magical) medicine. He clears his throat as he enters the room, looking at Jean and Illyana, though he tenses a bit at the strange plant creature. "I uh...uhm...don't want to know." About the strange demon plant thing. \<br\>\<br\> He's seen weird. That's probably weird. Right? \<br\>\<br\> He looks at Jean. "No progress?"

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey gives Jane's hand a squeeze before glancing towards the entrance as Illyana steps in...With a horrific monstrous attempt at a plant..But it is Illyana Afterall. She smiles nervously at the plant, a bit less so at Illy. "Ah Illyana, it is good to see you, it has been a while.."\<br\>\<br\>She nods to Jane, "Rescued her and a couple other students from the clutches of a yeti. They seem..Better than ever, however, Jane still has not woken up. I'm not entirely sure what might be wrong.." if it is magical, Jean knows nothing of the sort and she shrugs helplessly, "What do you think, do you sense any magic at work..?" well, she didn't think Yetis were magical but apparently it used winter magic of sorts..?\<br\>\<br\>And then Bruce enters and she smiles and relaxes a bit more at the sight of him. "Bruce, I'm glad you could come..Can you do anything for her..?"

Magik has posed:\<br\>Illyana, with Petrovich tucked beneath her arm, quirks her lips at the explanation of what has laid up Jane for this long. She pauses in her observation to look to Bruce Banner, "Petrovich, he has name." She doesn't hold the plant out to him, however. Petrovich is very shy meeting new people. \<br\>\<br\>Her cold blue eyes settle upon Jane, "Yeti? Do you know origin?" The plant is set down on the table beside the bed, stepping up to lay her hand on the young students arms. A faint glow beneath her fingertips feeling whether there's any magical fetters that are keeping her from awakening. \<br\>\<br\>"Mythical creatures come in many different form. Some have magic innate, some are... not really magic. Mirrors of their mystical counterpart. Like mirror seeing into the lay lines. So is very important what are particulars of situation."

Hulk has posed:\<br\>Jean looks more relaxed and Bruce seems happy at the sight. Though asked an important question: can he help Jane? "Well, I don't know." Bruce was honest, he had no reason to lie. Not only that, Illyana could do magic (presumably) and Jean was a telepath. Hiding information and details was something that was just...not gonna fly. \<br\>\<br\> But he approaches Jane's bedside, taking a moment to check pulse and heart rate, but the strange thing was that it looked like she was in a troubled sleep. "Hmm...have you done any outside stimulus? Pinched her, tested her reflexes? A physical stimuli?" Bruce asks of Jean, making sure he has all the information before he attempts to do something. \<br\>\<br\> Best to have all the information before you try it. \<br\>\<br\> He turns to Illyana. "Petrovich...ah..." He looks at the plant. "Nice to meet you." He keeps his eyes on Illyana though. "I suspect a mystical problem, though the strange thing is that - reportedly - the mutations of the children that were stolen were advanced. I don't know what could do that."

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey smiles at Illyana a bit uncertainly, glancing at her strange and rather....Interesting pet plant. "Petrovich..? My apologies. Hello Petrovich, nice to meet you." yeah, best not to question that. She doesn't want to anger..Petrovich..Afterall. Those teeth look sharp..\<br\>\<br\>As Illyana inspects the girl in the magical wavelength, she will find little in the way of mystical influence. Magic was perhaps used to briefly encase her in an icy prison, however the spell has long worn off and is not the reason for her current state.\<br\>\<br\>Should Bruce inspect her he will find her pulse and heart rate are mostly normal, maybe a bit elevated given her anxious state. She is talking in her sleep and seems unresponsive to outside stimuli, such as Jean squeezing her hand.\<br\>\<br\>Her frown deepens. "The nurses have tried external stimuli, and there was no response. They said it is as if she is simply in a deep sleep. Her body seems to be in decent shape, a bit tired but not that tired that she shouldn't have woken up by now.."\<br\>\<br\>She peers at the girl, clearly at a loss.."I wonder if they missed something.." perhaps a hidden wound or injury? But Jean wouldn't know what to look for.."I have not tried a mind scan yet, I thought I would try all other options first.."

Magik has posed:\<br\>Illyana's hand glows for several moments, but then fades as she retracts her hands and shakes her head at Jean. "There does not seem to be any magical interference." A look back at the Scientist, then down at Jane. "I believe that whatever is keeping here from waking is a physical weakness." It's the only explanation! Well, the possibility does exist that a telepath has encased her in some mental prison. \<br\>\<br\>Cold blue eyes look up to Jean, conveying this thought without saying a word. \<br\>\<br\>With a nod, she grabs the plant in both hands and tucks it back beneath her arm. "I will be back. I want to show Petrovich the library." But that's Illyana. She is unusual, some might say, weird others. She turns to regard Bruce with another nod. "Do not get mad." Then walks around him with a side step and heads towards the exit.

Hulk has posed:\<br\>"You know...." \<br\>\<br\> Bruce looks at Jane for a moment as he inspects her pulse and heart rate. "Heart rate and oxygen levels fairly normal, slightly elevated more than likely due to whatever she's experiencing. I would, with respect to your abilities Jean, wait on giving her a mental scan. For all we know, connecting with her mind could subject you to the same kind of experience Jane is feeling and then we'll have two people we can't wake up." \<br\>\<br\> Though Bruce seems to investigate Jane. "'Seems' her body is in decent shape? So the nurses didn't do a physical?" He ponders for a moment, giving Jane a thorough investigation for even something small, like a needle prick or a healed claw-mark or some kind of attack. Maybe she had fallen and hit her head or something. \<br\>\<br\> Hopefully, Bruce can find something... \<br\>\<br\> "Have fun." \<br\>\<br\> Though told not to get mad and Bruce clears his throat. "Working on it."

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>The nurse glares at Bruce, coming back from helping another patient. "I mist certainly did do a complete physical, and you are not even a specialist on mutants..You are not authorized and should leave now!" she glares at Jean, knowing she is desperate to help her student, but also knowing Scott will not be happy to have a non-Xmen in here.\<br\>\<br\>However, it seems something was missed - a slight scar at the back of her neck. It's still red and looks fairly new, probably missed as it was hidden under her thick shoulder length hair and given she was treated for hypothermia and exhaustion, probably the fresh scar was overlooked.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey frowns at the nurse, glancing back to the sleeping girl. "What's that, a scar on the back of her neck?" she brushes the girl's hair out of the way, inspecting it more closely. The nurse scowls, quite surprised she missed it, "Oh dear, what's that? Looks like an incision of some sort.." the two of them frown, trying to figure out who or what did that..Is that the reason the girl that was rescued from the mountains is unresponsive?

Cyclops has posed:\<br\>Scott Summers walks in looking around curious to what he missed he'd been going over the debriefs and all of the things since. "Scars are come by in many a way including through mutation, can you be sure it's an incision? And Jean why are you giving the nurse that frown?"

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey shakes her head, glancing up, "Oh, but she never had this scar before. It's only recently since returning from the mountains that the nurse noted it. And she has her records from when she first came here a year ago." she sighs, "Illyana did a magic scan but found nothing and according to the nurse there is nothing physically wrong with her.."\<br\>\<br\>She draws a deep breath, resting her fingers gently on the girl's temples. "I was hesitant to do this before, unsure of what I might find, but now..This might be the only way to help her.."

Cyclops has posed:\<br\>Scott Summers raises a brow. "Have we had Hank take a look at her, rather than just the nurse?" He looks to her smiling softly. "No offense of course." He says before looking back to Jean. "Listen love I'm behind you whatever you're fighting with yourself to do, or not do I'll back your play."

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey shakes her head, "Hank has been unavailable for some time, I think he's been busy taking care of Avengers problems, and won't be back for a bit. However, Bruce Banner, who has been a part time physics teacher here for some time, did glance over her briefly. I suppose he lacks the expertise of a mutant doctor though, and.." she glances uneasily at the Nurse who just scowls and shakes her head.\<br\>\<br\> "Sorry, I brought him on as a teacher, thought he might help with his medical background in Beast's absence and he did notice it was a recent incision on her neck but.."\<br\>\<br\>With a shrug, she turns back to the girl. "I will need to mind scan her, see if I can figure out why she is unresponsive when physically she seems fine..It's her only chance.." she closes her eyes then, focusing her mind on penetrating the child's, trying to be as gentle as she can as she searches for anything out of the ordinary..

Cyclops has posed:\<br\>Scott Summers raises a brow. "You brought Banner here, to the medical wing and had him examine a mutant child, when he has no experience with Mutants??" Scott asks looking between Jean and the nurse. "Doctors who train in human medicine do not have the knowledge and expertise in mutant genetics, anatomy, or physiology to even give a remotely educated guess. And regardless you say it's recent but if it's a scar it's not all that recent." Scott says assuredly.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>The nurse shakes her head, "Don't be too harsh on her, she was desperate to try anything to save the child. But I sent him away. I missed the scar and it is not just a scar but an incision..Looks like she was cut with a sharp instrument..Possibly a laser." she scowls, "I don't like this.."\<br\>\<br\>Jean meanwhile seems to be deep in concentration, totally disconnect from everything else around her as she focuses inward on Jane. "She is..Alive..Awake, but.." she frowns softly, brows creased in thought, "Trying to.....Aahhh!" she screams suddenly, letting go of the girl and collapsing to the floor.

Cyclops has posed:\<br\>Scott Summers looks to the Nurse. "Desperation is no reason for recklessness.." He says honestly. "As for the scar, incision or not if it's scarred it's an older wound." But then Jean is screaming and collapsing Scott slides underneath her catching his Fiancee.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>The nurse frowns and nods, about to say something else but suddenly Jean falls to the floor, unconscious and not responding. "Miss Grey!" she exclaims in shock and hurries to her side, checking her vitals, "Please, help me into the bed. It seems she has just fainted..Psychic overload perhaps? What just happened..?"\<br\>\<br\>Meanwhile, Jane, the girl blinks and stirs, seeming to be slowly waking up..Finally. "H-huh...What's going on..?" she murmurs tiredly. But she's finally awake.

Cyclops has posed:\<br\>Scott Summers holds Jean's head in his lap. "Come on Jean wake up, get up my love come on." He says but then she's coming to and Scott holds Jean closer. "You fainted after scanning our student's brain

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey seems unresponsive still, although her vitals seem to be okay. The nurse flutters worriedly over Jean, checking her eyes and shaking her head, "Give her a few, she should be okay, but..I've seen this happen to Psychics before, if they come up against a psychic wall or psychic resistance, they get a backlash..Give her some time.."\<br\>\<br\>She looks back at Jane and blinks, checking her over, "Oh! You are awake! How do you feel?" the girls murmurs for some water, coughing a bit and the Nurse hurries off to get some.

Copycat has posed:\<br\>Vanessa Carlysle Knocks on the door "Hello, Jean? " She asks, peeking her face in, showing her blue skin and red eye's along with that white hair as she looks about ' Anybody inside? " She asks, " I was called? " .

Cyclops has posed:\<br\>Scott Summers continues holding Jean while looking up at the nurse. "Fine? She's collapsed after scanning a non psychic child's mind...there shouldn't be any mental walls or psychic shields so what the hell?" He asks and then there is Vanessa. "You were?" He asks looking up to her. "Well we have a clear problem, though not a clear where why or how."

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>The nurse returns with water, giving some to the child who just woke up while peering at Jean thoughtfully, "Huh, that is strange, I've seen this happen before but..I wonder if Jane is a telepath too, although she's never exhibited any such abilities before." she sighs, shaking her head, "I'm not trained to diagnose, only to treat, all I can suggest is let her rest and recover her mind..Hank is the one with all the answers and he's not here at the moment. I will give him another call but he was away on some conference for a week or so.." she sighs, clearly exhausted.\<br\>\<br\>Jane, the girl who just woke up, blinks and peers around, more awake after drinking the water but still weak and tired. She spies Jean and gasps, "Miss..Grey...? Is she..Okay..?" Jean blinks slowly, seeming to stir.

Copycat has posed:\<br\>Vanessa Carlysle Walks over closer and frowns, reaching to touch jeans arm red eyes full of concern before she looks up " She should be fine, pumkin.. it's okay she just used alot of power trying to help you.. it's okay," she smiles as she looks back to jean " You follow the nurse okay, I'll take care of your homework after " . She looks to scott " I'm the new cooking teacher.. jean said I should talk to you but umm.. I can try and help if you'll let me? "

Cyclops has posed:\<br\>Scott Summers smiles and nods his head. "I'm director of admissions and the auto shop teacher." He says softly. "Scott Summers, Jean's fiancee." He says holding out his hand. "Any aide from our own is always welcome."

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jane sighs and closes her eyes as the nurses reassures her. She still seems tired and is grateful to lay down and rest some more. Jean however, groans softly as she opens her eyes, "Huh, Scott..,What..Happened?"she peers at Vanessa, pulling back "Wait!"

Copycat has posed:\<br\>Vanessa Carlysle She blinks because she's already well she's already changed into jean right now there are two jeans right now to the clothes before one says " Ahh okay your fine that's good " she gives a tight smile before she starts to shift back to herself , what scott said made her feel good , really good to be welcome was like eveyrthing she needed .

Cyclops has posed:\<br\>Scott Summers looks to Jean and kisses her softly. "Hey how you feelin'? You scanned her brain and screamed and passed out. You ok?" He askss and then looks to Vanessa and back to Jean and back to Vanessa. "Do we have another Morph!?"

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey sighs, rubbing her temples, "Yes, I think..Except, I have a massive headache.." she peers back at Jane, frowning deeply, worry clear in her Jade eyes, "When I tried to scan her mind, I.." she sighs, "I'm not sure what I saw, it felt like some sort of mental wall came up, like she..Or someone, was pushing back. Someone or something..Alien..I couldn't get a read, not a clear one, just flashes.." she sighs resting her head against the pillow again, squeezing her eyes shut. Clearly exhausted, her head killing her. But she looks like she wants to say more.

Copycat has posed:\<br\>Vanessa Carlysle Blinks and looks down then frowns and nods " Yeah I can see it " She dosn't want to add she is getting jeans memories becuase she touched her for a while so she can see what she saw.. but she looks over " It wasn't good " She says to scott . She ches her lip " I could try and copy her " she looks to jane

Cyclops has posed:\<br\>Scott Summers shakes his head thoughtfully for a moment. "It's not anything she could have done, there's no record of her being a telepath or of any latent psychic ability." He says simply glancing between the girls there with him.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey nods, "Right, she's an aerokinetic. Doesn't fit. Which means.." she frowns deeply, peering at Jane. "Someone mentally attacked her or tried to possess her. I saw.." she sighs, rubbing her eyes, "I saw..Flashes..Of that pod in the mountains..A warning of danger..We need to go back, investigate the pod more before it hurts anyone else. I also wonder if it's connected to the Yeti attacking people? From all that I've read, Yeti try to avoid people and eat mostly berries and only small animals and insects." she nods to Vanessa, "And you can see all that too but be careful. Now that entity is probably aware of me.lAnd now you too. I am glad Jane has woken up but we should keep her under careful observation."
