Synopsis: Polaris and Magneto talk. Teams are formed; assignments are given.
Cast of Characters: Polaris, Magneto

Polaris has posed:
It's pretty common knowledge that Magneto comes and goes in Genosha as he pleases, even with regard to his daughter. Lorna isn't surprised to hear rumors of his return, but some things must be verified personally. The green-haired princess visits the throne room after breakfast, admittedly not a place where she spends a lot of time, but she knows her father's fondness for it. Dressed in her customary, green attire (complete with tiara), the carpet mutes her boot heels as she enters.
Magneto has posed:
Lorna enters the throne room and sees Magneto, sitting on his throne. His fingers move rhythmically across the armrest as he contemplates his next course of action. He is not wearing his helmet and instead sits on a stand next to the throne.

Regrefully, he still hasn't managed to locate Mystique, or contact Emma Frost after the incident in the mountains. His focus currently rests on the Genoshans rescued from the mountain range, ensuring their safety.

His gaze shifts as he sees his emerald-haired daughter enter the room. He slowly stands up, his expression softens slighty and a small smile graces his lips.

"Lorna," he says warmly but underneath this warmth, there is still conflict in his voice.
Polaris has posed:
Her green lips pull into a small smile at the greeting, her long hair flowing freely. "Hi Dad." she offers. "Welcome back." She ascends the steps, stopping just short of the dais where he stands.

"You look troubled." Then again, doesn't he always? When one takes the fate of all mutantkind upon his shoulders, it's only natural. "Anything I can help with?"
Magneto has posed:
Magneto steps down from the dais and stides across the room, his cape fluttering behind him. He pauses before reaching his daughter and gives her a long, hard look, as if assessing her readiness for what he was about to say.

His voice reverberates in the chamber as he speaks. "There is much happening at this moment in time," he says.

"Mystique's disappearance being one of them." He runs his hands through his hair, his eyes settling on something far away. Despite his stoic expression, a hint of worry washes over him. "Yet there are other matters I must discuss with you."
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane lifts a slender brow at the mention of Mystique, and her disappearance. "She has had long absences before..." she offers, allowing him to explain or not, as he chooses. Lorna clasps hands behind her back, watching him. Noting the worry.

Yes, things are serious.

"Other matters involving the humans, or something else?" she replies, looking more than a little curious.
Magneto has posed:
Magneto's voice holds an air command as he speaks. His steely gaze locked on the woman before him, his own daughter.

"No, nothing about the humans, this time. Matters regarding you," Magneto replies. "Well, you, your sister and your brother - unfortunately, neither of them are here at the moment, so let's focus on you.

I know you have been a member of the Brotherhood in the past; a valuable one at that. However, I am planning to reform the group and I want all three of you to be members of it again." He pauses to let his words linger in the air.
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane tilts her head a little as the subject switches to her, arms folding over her chest as if in anticipation. Never one to conceal her emotions, Lorna briefly nibbles her lower lip as well.

When he mentions the Brotherhood and her involvement in it, she relaxes visibly. Green lips pull into a small smile and she nods, as if expecting something worse. "I have always supported your causes, Father." she replies, with a little more formality now. "I'm assuming that you aren't reforming the Brotherhood for purely social reasons."
Magneto has posed:
"No," he replies. "I see a new purpose for the Brotherhood. I intend to form the brotherhood to help find mutants, and bring them to Genosha, safely. Therefore, the Brotherhood needs to grow. I envision the Brotherhood consisting of several teams lead by the mutants that I trust the most. The teams would be overseen by a council, the Council of the Brotherhood. That's where I see you, Wanda and Pietro fitting into the new Brotherhood. You will be members of the council, and advisors to me. We will ruler over Genosha and lead the Brotherhood of Mutants."
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane smiles a little when he mentions mutants he trusts the most. She knows that he is speaking of her and her siblings. "Finding mutants has always been difficult, especially before their powers manifest. Afterward, it is usually a race with the X-Men and Law Enforcement."

She leaves the question unsaid on the table... how will this time be different?

"I would be honored to be a member of the council, Father, as well as to join one of the teams."
Magneto has posed:
"You are quite right," Magneto replies to Lorna. "Finding mutants is a difficult task. However, I have a plan in motion that will enable us to find mutants easier. This will help us in the race against the X-Men and law enforcement. However, I do hope that we will be able to form an alliance with the X-Men, given time."

Magneto then smiles when Lorna agrees to a member of the council.

"Perfect! I imagine you leading a team of mutants that will have similar powers to us, magnetic manipulation, or metal manipulation. I think Juggernaut should join your team to balance the team and providing a different approach to confrontations. I may even join your team on occasion under your leadership."
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane lifts a green brow when he mentions being able to find mutants more easily. "I would be very curious to learn how you would do this." Pause. "When you are ready to share, of course." The latter is added more for show; Magneto only does things in his own time.

"Juggernaut isn't a good follower, but i don't think that's necessarily going to be a problem." Green lips pull into a small smile at that.

"Do you have any suggestions about mutants with metal-based powers, or should I start with the files at Xavier's?"
Magneto has posed:
"Start with Xavier's files, that would be the beast place to start," Magneto replies. "If you find anyone else that you feel would be ideal to your team, then feel free to reach out to them in your own time. You don't need my approval. However, I do hope that you will keep me informed as your team develops.

However, I will have Pietro leading a team for first responders, and Wanda will lead a team of mutants that will tap into magic and alter realty. As such, I would like to avoid overlap in function between the three teams. Or at least, as much as is feasibly possible."
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane smiles one more at his trust, inclining her head slowly. "It makes sense to have each team focus, of course." she agrees. "I will see what I can find, and recruit accordingly."

For someone who is technically an X-Man, Lorna doesn't seem to have any issues with digging through the database at Xavier's to assemble her own team. "Have you contacted Juggernaut, or should I reach out to him directly?"
Magneto has posed:
"I have previously spoken and worked with Juggernaut; I will make sure that he is on your team when he is needed. However, I believe he will continue to work with others outside of the Brotherhood. Fortunately, he previously has expressed empathy towards the mutant struggle and I do not think he would work against us."
Polaris has posed:
"That is fortunate indeed." Lorna replies. She knows Juggernaut by reputation, if nothing else. "I will keep you apprised of my recruiting progress, father. It means that I will also be spending more time at the mansion, should you need to contact me." That goes without saying, of course.
