Synopsis: Fight Intervention - Green Ranger Style!
Cast of Characters: Juggernaut, Green Ranger

Juggernaut has posed:
Like any other part of the great city of New York - Mutant Town is subject to the highs and lows of city life. That includes bad people with bad tempers meeting each other with bad results.

Or ..maybe worse results, depending on ones point of view as the local minority here are mutants and so many an assortment of various abilities can often manifest in times like this. Firebreathing, wings, enhanced strength..you name it. It's part of the charm. This is especially true among the local bars, dives, strip clubs and the like as they have seen their share with open arguements between various metahumans, mutants and humans often ending up in flashy results. So that a fight is breaking out at the 'Pink Kitten' bar/strip club on one of the street corners isn't an oddity in and of itself..as much as who the fight is involving and what happens next.

A loud *BOOOOM* roars through the area, the ground shaking from a seismic event and windows blowing out in both the strip club as well as the buildings up and down the street around it. A two iigures go smashing through the front of the building to slam into and through several parked cars across the street . One, a red skinned bruiser and the other, some sort of rocky hided lanky thug. THey tumble, slamming into a wall and the other a light pole some distance away. The very ground keeps shaking, the intensity worsening. Then source is finally seen.

An absolutely enormous man, brutish and unshaven with a close cropped red hair, who looks to actually be growing bigger as he walks with a red hue of crimson energy crackling around him as his muscles pile ontop fo each other in unending mountainous bulks. He walks forward through the entire front wall of the strip club as if he were walking through a field of grass. The building slides apart behind him, people emptying the place in a panic as the behemoth of a man begins walking down the street towards the brawny grey skinned fellow who was punched several city blocks away. The ground shaking? That's being caused by his footsteps.
Green Ranger has posed:
A few blocks away, there was a young man with a brown ponytail, casually getting a hot dog from a street vendor. He had paid for it, and had applied mustard, ketchup, and was about to squirt some mayonnaise on it, when he felt and heard the commotion. He was well past any damage radius, but the sounds of it, and... wait, why weren't there screams, or horns honking. Oh yeah, this was New York. Did anyone seem to care? At least Tommy did. Taking one quick bite out of his hot dog, sans mayonnaise, he would toss the rest of it into the nearby trash bin.

And then, as quickly, but nonchalantly, as he could, he would make his way to a back alleyway. Hoping to transform, he could hear people in the alley, their windows, and so he rolled his eyes. "Fire escape it is." He would hustle, working to find his way up one of the fire escapes, so that he could make it to the roof. How did Spider-Man do it? All he wanted to do was morph, but there didn't seem to be any place that he could without attracting undue attention.

Once he made the several stairways up, and mercifully having no further interruptions, he would have fully chewed the large bite of his hot dog, so he could pull out his power coin, hold it in front of him, and say, "it's morphin' time. Dragonzord!" A moment later, he would be crackling with blue lightning, a bit of fog, and his clothes would disappear, replaced by advanced synthetics. Where Tommy Oliver had stood, he was now the Green Ranger.
Juggernaut has posed:
The grey stoney skinned mutant stumbles to his feet and staggers back and forth, tryign to shake the cobwebs out. His partner, some distance away, is still mostly out of it..so the grey skinned dude appears to be on his own. The shaking of the ground seems to urge him to recover faster though and he tries to square up ..only to take several steps back as he looks on to see the oncoming, slow inexorable approach of the red haired behemoth who draws nearer with a sort of bored unhurried stroll.

A stroll that's leaving footprints pressed into the pavement from his weight and sheer pressure and cars parked cars bouncing up and down, people stumbling, from each step.

"You gotta be kidding me.." he rumbles. Deep voice sounding almost lazy. "I just wanted to look at some tits and ass and you guys just had to get all territorial. Wasn't even bothering you. You get your one warning..and you take a swing anyway."

The giant lifts an arm up. Flexing it as veins the size of shipping ropes stand out and a bicep that seems to give the impression of being the size of a buick bulks up under his rugged skin..splitting his tee shirt sleeves and casting shadow over the grey skinned, now terrified, bruiser. The giants fist clenches as the flexed arm looms overhead and he draws nearer.

"Now..I gota turn you into a red stain. Let's see how you handle my Sunday Punch..." he rumbles ominously just as, a short distance away, the lightning flashes but for now goes unnoticed.
Green Ranger has posed:
One of the many perks about being a power ranger was that the morphing grid enabled them to teleport. And so, just then, another cloud of green smoke emanated from a spot, not too far from the gentleman's club patrons who had decided to take their dispute outside. Still crackling with green electricity, the smoke would soon disappear, revealing what can only be a superhero, or a supervillain. This one was in green, with gold and white accents. And he immediately went into a defensive martial artist stance. For his sake, at least he didn't show off his cute little dagger. That might not have gone over well with the Juggernaut, "now, what seems to be the nature of the trouble?" Yeah, like he was going to stop them fighting.
Juggernaut has posed:
There is a sound like boulders splintering as the giant tightens his fist, knuckles cracking as he looms closer, preparing for the promised swing. The mutant ..victim? He's clearly part of the problem so maybe that's not the right word but compared to the gargantua before him, he seems less the bully and more the bullied - either way he squares up, unwilling to back down though he looks about in a panic for his partner who is just now stumbling to his feet. Fire flickering from his mouth. A fire breather in deed.

And then..they are interrupted. The giant..The Juggernaut..pauses. He lifts his gaze up, still holding that punch aloft but his attention now fully on the arrival of The Green Ranger. TO say he's confused is an understatement. He blinks a few times, frozen in place before finally speaking.

"Cute suit. You the local good guy or something?"

The two thugs take the breather to fully regain their senses but they don't make a move yet, one way or another.
Green Ranger has posed:
"Something like that." He spoke, and his words could be clearly heard, despite his mask obscuring his lips. There were moulded silver ones as part of the helmet, but they were unmoving. His voice was too clear for it to be coming through the mask, so there must have been some kind of speaker built into the suit, though none were immediately obvious. Thus far, he has shown an ability to teleport. He wore some kind of armor, though it could be the sort of stuff most heroes wore these days. And as if by magic, green energy lit up a formerly vacant area, and a dagger appeared in his hand, either teleported just like he did, or summoned by some kind of magic. It didn't look particularly intimidating, but it was a bladed weapon, and he was an unknown quantity. Was it wise to pick a fight with him when he had nothing to do with this, and thus far, had been willing to talk. "Now, can you boys play nice..." the unspoken threat implied.
Juggernaut has posed:
As The Juggernaut, Cain Marko has seen a lot. Gods of thunders. Kryptonians and other aliens. Heck.. HE is alot. He's basically a walking magical cataclysm. The avatar of a being whose very essence is pure physical power and destruction. So..,he doesn't dismiss anything off hand. Not even a bold martial artist brandishing a dagger at him.

But he's also got an ego to match his physique. It doesn't matter what it is infront of him. He's still The Juggernaut.

"Listen.." he rumbles, tone pretty social and casual despite the absurdity of it all and the great danger that looms. "I'm just trying to teach these fella's a lesson about the whole 'bigger fish' thing.. I'm just gonna take a swing or two and then be on my way.."

He uncurls his massive fist as he speaks and wiggles fingers thicker then tree branches as he gives The Green Ranger a big ear to ear, unfriendly, smile. "That's all. My night's already ruined so I'll just go home after that. I'll even put one arm behind my back.."

The two mutant thugs seem to be gauging their luck here. THey, well nobody, knows that this is -THe- Juggernaut after all. Sure he's strong but maybe they are rationalizing what's happened so far as being caught off guard. The Ranger is the unknown factor here..but at least they aren't fighting yet.
Green Ranger has posed:
The Green Ranger's tone of voice and body language was the only way to read him. His face was obscured. There was no reading that. But he did glance between the Juggernaut, and the two mutant thugs. He was coming into some commotion, he didn't know who started it, what it was about, and wasn't really feeling like siding with one side, or the other, unless there was a clear imbalance, like the Juggernaut killing the other two, or vice versa. "That... sounds reasonable. What do you two think?" In other words, is this a fair fight, with everyone consenting, or is a situation where they need someone like him to step in.
Juggernaut has posed:
He's trying to be very reasonable, this Green Ranger. The imbalance though..well.. They aren't leaving footprints in the ground, didn't shatter the windows up and down the street with a single punch or split a building apart by walking through it. They were, however, flung down two city blocks at the same time. But not all of that may have been seen right away. There are some who -did- see it though and they gawk, but seem uncertain as well. AFter all, the huge man is telling the truth. THe thugs -did- start it..it's just..perhaps ther response was a little lopsided.

They certainly dont' see it that way. "Are you KIDDING US." snarls the red skinned mutant, spewing fire out of his mouth with his rising anger. "Look at all this damage!" The fact that they started this eludes their thick skulls.

"I'm taking him now!" yells the grey skinned brute who suddenly springs into action. Stone and rock sprays everywhere as he lunges at the red haired goliath who is still looking at the Green Ranger with a growing incredulous expression.

The grey skinned bruiser slams into the giant. Full on into the torso like a crashing car. The area shakes and rattles.

Cain Marko doesn't even move. Not an inch. He doesn't even blink. Instead he continues conversing with The Green Ranger as the other mutant struggles to move him. "Oh yeah?" he rumbles at the Green Ranger, "No foolin.. I kinda like you. What's yer hero name? I'll remmeber this."

The red skinned mutant stares, mouth agape as his friend struggles. THe earth groans and creaks. The pavement splintering from the pressure. Cain Marko doesn't move. One arm remains behind his back, the other raised in a ready swing but his gaze is on The Ranger, ignoring the struggle against him.
Green Ranger has posed:
"Green Ranger," the shorter man replied back, once again, voice modulated, enhanced, and rebroadcast for people outside his suit to hear. When the Juggernaut didn't move an inch, the tone changed from authoritative, to casual. "If they started this, can you go easy on them. They're clearly no match for you. I'd appreciate it." He was making no move to sae them. One of them had just attacked a man who clearly looked stronger, and had claimed that they started it. From the Green Ranger's perspective, the Juggernaut was mostly justified, so long as he didn't escalate things. And sensing the collateral damage to the street, "though I think you owe the city for repairs to the street." Sometimes treating a villain like a person could go a long way. But would this be one of them?
Juggernaut has posed:
That may have just saved their lives. You see, Cain would have made good on his threat earlier. The reality is that they are indeed no match for him and he knows it and they are learning it now even if they'd convinced themselves otherwise. But he's knocked buildings over for less then what they did in there. Cyttorak is not a good mix with someone who is already ill tempered. Now an added air of being physically invincible and you have the reciepe for a catastrophe if he's 'in the mood'.. and he was almost 'in the mood'.

But Tommy has lucked onto something for indeed if you treat him like a person he responds like a person. Most people just..don't bother to.

"Huh." he rumbles and then he turns his head towards his agressors just as a gout of flame bursts into his face. The fire breathing mutant comes to the aid of his struggling comrade, breathing fire like a flamethrower as he approaches the immocable behemoth. The fire licks at his clothing, burns at the ground, but Cain remains unbothered and unconcerned.

Running out of steam, the mutant pauses for breath and his eyes widen as he sees the grinning Cain, now smouldering and vast torso expoesd from his garments having been burned away. "You finished yet?" he rumbles.

Before either red or grey can respond, the giant brings that one poised arm down and flicks it forward, His massive fist halts just infront of them..and then a finger flicks out. The middle one hurtling up like a battering ram. It slams explosively into the grey mutant, hurtling him backwards into the red and both thugs go sailing backwards to crash a full block away into a dumpster, denting it violently and pushing it backwards halfway down the alley its in. Bystanders cringe, some scream, windows rattle.. But the bruisers seem alive, if battered. Definently unconscious.
Green Ranger has posed:
It was a good thing that the Green Ranger helmet obscured any kind of facial expression. Because to say that he was shocked would be an understatement. Having been in his fair share of fights, tournament and otherwise, he knew something about durability, impacts, and injuries. He had taken enough, dealt enough, and seen others suffer them, to have a good idea that they were alive, as their chests were still heaving. There didn't seem to be blood, and even unconscious, as they fell, they did move. So, they would likely be fine until an ambulance would arrive. If this were anywhere but New York, one would likely already be on the scene. And so he decided to let it pass without comment.

Turning to address the taller man, his dagger disappeared in a cloud of energy and smoke, just as it had appeared, "So, thank you for not killing. What should I call you? And just what did they do to start all this?"
Juggernaut has posed:
"The name's Cain Marko." rumbles the giant as he reaches up ahd pulls off the shreds of his tee-shirt. He examines it mournfully. It was one of his favorites. Nevermind it was already shredded when he had enlarged to this more extreme form of his. People tend to assume he's only Juggernaut when in armor but he's always Juggernaut. Domed helm, armor or no. It just so happened that this time he opted to not put his armor on versus dealing with his irritants in street wear. No reason to do more then that.

So his identty is still intact even if he's a ten foot tall monster right now. At least his jeans are acting as shorts...

"I was just mindin' my business and they didn't like the seat I was in. It's late out and this part of Mutant Town is pretty rough. Most folk don't know me by sight though some do. These idiots just crossed the line. Hit me in the back of the head a few times after we had..words.."

He looks away from his tee shirt and down at the Green Ranger now and quirks an eyebrow up slightly. "..Huh...you were pretty smart there for a hero. Nice work. Dont' worry bout the damages. I'll deal with it..."
Green Ranger has posed:
It was surreal to have what... may be a supervillain, compliment him on his actions as a hero. He didn't know who Cain Marko was, nor did he know the Juggernaut. There were so many heroes, villains, and people with powers who were simply trying to get by. Reaching for his pockets, which he didn't have right now. Just a blade blaster on one hip, in a holster, but he did have his communicator. He would press it, "Alpha, can you teleport one hundred American dollars?" And a moment later, a crisp new American $100 dollar bill appeared in his gloved hand, green energy dissipating around it as before. "For your shirt, lap dance, whatever, Mr. Marko."
Juggernaut has posed:
He is indeed a villain by some standards. Most. Maybe all. But right now he's just a huge guy with too little restraint thinking those guys got what was coming to them by picking on a bigger fish.

When the bill is handed to him he raises both eyebrows and seems uncertain.. actually caught off guard for the real first time here. He accepts it and looks at it with a hint of distrust in his gaze.

But then that flickers away as he glances behind him to the sundered strip joint.

"Yeah.." he rumbles finally. "Yeah, sure. Thanks pal."

With that he turns and begins to head back for the club. He's probably not going to get that lap dance tonight but he did say he's going to take care of the damages and Juggernaut's good for his word, for better or for worse. Just don't ask where the money he's got stashed up came from.

"See ya around, hero."
