Cast of Characters: Wolverine, Firestar

Wolverine has posed:
Logan's at his cabin for a moment. He is trying to get himself centered again. Did something knock it off course? Not really. This is more of an emotional tune up. Preventive maintenance to make sure he's less grumpy. He's sitting on a simple lawn chair by the lake. Ocean blue eyes looking over the water on this quiet night. It's not quite dark, but the sun is making the daily trek over the horizon. The sky is awash in light blues and creamy oranges.

In his hand is a glass bottle of beer, about a quarter gone. He's wearing a simple pair of dark blue jeans and a black tank top. His gaze is a lazy one due to the time of day. At least it's a day free of Sentinels and troubles.
Firestar has posed:
She does at least send out a text before wandering into his area. She flies low over the land and pauses mid air so as not to totally crash his retreat. She looks pretty wrung out herself as she pauses in the sky.

Studying him for a moment she offers,"Hey. If I am intruding tell me to keep going and I will catch up with you later." she tells him seriously.
Wolverine has posed:
"I'm sittin' alone in a chair, beer in the hand and there ain't a tie tied to the door. I think yer good darlin'," Logan says with an amused smile. "Where ya been stranger?" he says just commenting about the fact it's been a minute since their paths crossed. "Want a chair?" he asks.
Firestar has posed:
She comes down to the ground and strides over to him,"I'm just impressed you have a tie my friend." she replies to him and wlks over to take a seat as well,"Warpath and I flew up to Canada for a few days to take care of the familiy." she tells him,"I looked for you, but couldn't locate you and decided it was more important to get there fast. My head is still spinning on all of it. Combined with that and getting geared up for teaching and learning."
Wolverine has posed:
"It's fer the door," Logan says, perhaps as a joke? Perhaps it's an honest statement? It's hard to tell.

"How did Canada treat the both f you?" he asks and that gaze slips t her for a moment.

"I got somethin' I want ya to chew on. When yer ready to hear it," he says, leaving Angelica to choose. Ocean blue eyes look go toward her.
Firestar has posed:
She chuckles softly when he talks about the tie and door. Shaking her head she sighs,"You are a handful my friend." she tells him. She sobers a little and tells him,"Canada was...weird."

She considers her words and then when he mentions something for her to chew on, she nods,"All right. Tell me about it. I'm always open to hearing things. You've never done wrong by me so I can't imagine you're going to start now."
Wolverine has posed:
"Can ya keep a secret?" Logan asks Angelica. Those ocean blue eyes focus and there's a seriouness to his voice. The casual tones of before fading.
Firestar has posed:
She smiles and tells him,"I kept the fact I was involved with a man and a woman from you for a time. I think if I can manage that I should be good for whatever you throw at me."

The idea that he might have a problem never really enters her mind. She just turns and leans on the arm of her chair to talk a little easier.
Wolverine has posed:
"That's sex, unless I'm invited, my policy has always been as long as everyone's an adult, consentin', n' the doin' the basic lines of decency, who am I to judge?" it's Logan's way of saying he doesn't care about who does what with whom. Nor does he care about numeric structures.

Logan sighs, "Betsy is helpin' bring a team together. She -believes-," and he tries to emphasize the word, "Somethin' bad is comin'. That the world is gonna go to Hell n' a handbag if a bunch of things happen. She's tryin' to make sure it doesn't, even crossing lines to do it. Think black ops," Logan sighs and looks down for a moment. He takes a big swig of the beer.

An "Ahhh," slips past hs lips. "I was thinkin' you should join, not to cross lines, but to keep the rest of us honest. I'm worried Betsy, or someone else, on the team might cross a line that can't be uncrossed. I think we need someone to remind us that the line between necessity and needless death is razor thing sometimes," he looks at her evenly. "I think we'd need someone like that. N' havin' someone wit' yer powers s someone I'd want in the foxhole wit' me," Logan tries to compliment Angelica while showing his mentality. Why he's seeing if she would join this group.
Firestar has posed:
She nods as he mentions the first bit and replies,"If only everyone was so considerate." Not going into specifics, just a statement. She settles in to listen to what he is saying and gets pretty quiet and thoughtful. She touches her temple lightly and brushes a little hair from her face,"You want a more military based team, but want someone to make sure not all lines are crossed?"

She considers his words for a long time and while it seems for a second she might decline, instead she finally nods and tells him,"All right. I'm in." She smiles a little at the mention of her abilities and the foxholes,"If it comes to that I have you back my friend. You know that. In it to the bitter end."
Wolverine has posed:
"I ain't formin' the team, but I want a more useful Jiminy Cricket. We need the angel on our shoulders sometimes," Logan says honestly. He's just being open with her, showing Angelica where his head is at. "I don't mind gettin' blood on my hands, but others. . .it might haunt em' for years if they cross a line." That's why he wants Angelica on the team. To him, Angelica is many things and that includes a voice of reason connected to something like a nuclear reactor.
Firestar has posed:
Angelica purses her lips for a moment and hmms,"If you need the nuclear Jiminy Cricket you have her." she replies,"Tell Betsy or whoever else that I am in if they want me."

She smiles a little sadly and admits,"I've been there, the things that still haunt. Most nights I have a decent rest, but I have some nightmare fuel of my own." She smiles a little finally and asks him,"You want someone to level the playing field, literally not figurative. Someone that can lay the world flat if needed, but with enough restraint to not do that unless there are no opetions."
Wolverine has posed:
"And to make sure no one else does it, too," Logan says firmly back. To Logan, a lot of the other options have crossed lines or will cross lines. He wants someone to pull them back from the edge. That's Angelica. Plus, her own descriptions fit perfectly.
Firestar has posed:
"All right. The Alpha Flight will always be home, but I wondered about poetntially joining the X-Men once or twice since I got here. Nobdy is offering at the moment and that's OK. I am a wild card too. Conscience and destruction in the hands of what most people assume is the mousey school girl."
Wolverine has posed:
"Welcome to X-Force. We'll help ya get a stealth suit. Somethin' with less color," Logan says firmly and gives her a nod. The hand extends to make this official.
Firestar has posed:
Listening to what he says, she nods,"I will do my best to support the team." she assures him,"Thank you...for offering and for being willing to take me into it. I know a lot of the members are not very familiar with me." She takes the offered hand and shakes it firmly, sealing the deal.
Wolverine has posed:
"I'll talk to Jean 'bout you joinin' the X-Men, too. If they don't take ya, they're bein' stupid," Logan says with a smirk. He'll vouche for her. Angelica knowos that much. "Still want that chair?" he asks honestly with a raised brow.
Firestar has posed:
She shrugs and admits,"The X-Force and Alpha Flight might be plenty." She considers his words and nods,"Sure. Not in a hurry tonight so long as you don't mind the company."
Wolverine has posed:
"I don't mind the company," Logan says softly. His gaze going toward her. His gaze slipping to her. "And you were gonna tell me about Canada?" he asks honestly. A brow raises for a moment. "And I don't mind the company. Who'd mind a redhead wantin' to be round ya? Not many," he teases a bit.
Firestar has posed:
A moment of consideration and she tells him,"Glad to hear it." She settles into a seat and she sighs,"It was weird. Alpha Flight and the New Warriors were somewhere on the other side of the world." she explains,"One of the kids called me when Heather took into the woods on her own. Something calling her out or something. We never really settled that part."

She sighs,"When we left, I told him I was afraid she had encountered the Wendigo. After what we saw, I wish she had." She touches his arm gently,"She is fine. A little banged up, but no worse for wear. In one piece and has the place on lock down until the others get back."
Wolverine has posed:
Logan feels an urge to go to Canada, but she quells it (a little). Blue eyes slip toward Angelica, "Promise me?" Logan says qute serious. Heather is someone he feels a lot of gratitude for. She helped him in a very dark place in his life. He owes a lot to her. And so, Logan's a little protective of her. So, he hears that she's hurt, Logan does have to fight an urge to run toward Canada.
Firestar has posed:
"I promise." she assures him, patting his arm a few times and lightly rubbing his hand to try and calm him a little bit,"I would still be there if she wasn't OK. I'd still be in the mountains and scouring or at her side in the medbay as the situation required. I love her too my friend. A great deal." She has heart, he pointed out, and it shows now,"The thing had he captive, but we sprung her and killed it. Whatever it was."
Wolverine has posed:
Logan gives a silent nod, quiet agreement with her. He may not ever opnely say it, but she's right. Ocean blue eyes look at her and he gives a nod of respect. It's Angelica's dedication, he believes it. "Damn," he exclaims about the situation.
Firestar has posed:
She forces a smile and tells him softly,"Next time you're going with us. If another one shows up we're taking a vacation and see about routing them all out." she comments. Whatever the thing was, she has no respect for it's rights to live...at all. That much is very clear and from the one that is to be the conscience, that must tell him how horrible the situation.
Wolverine has posed:
"Next time I'm gonna be pissed if ya don't invite me," Logan says firmly to her. Those ocean blue eyes focus on her. His gaze is serious. Then he looks back out toward the body of water ahead of them. "How are you doin' wit' yer two partners?" he asks genuinely. It's him making sure she's okay.
Firestar has posed:
She leans over and kisses his cheek gently and whispers,"Next time be where I can find you." She settles back and looks out over the lake as well,"It's good. We don't catch up with each other enough, either in a pair or the trio." She sighs and shrugs,"I anticipate it only getting worse once schools are in session and X-Force starts to mobilize."
Wolverine has posed:
"I hope it works out fer you," his gaze looks back at her. "If they break yer heart, I'll hurt them," he says firmly. Again, that protective streak coming out again. He just breathes slowng, keeping himself in check. "If they break up wit' you fer reasons besdes schedules, they're stupid."
Firestar has posed:
She chuckles softly and tells him,"So far it works. We'll see how it works out. I appreciate having someone to look out for me though." She settles a little and she tells him,"Thank you for that too. I am sure if we split up we'll all hit the ground running or at least back on feet." The relationship seems to be good for her.
Wolverine has posed:
Logan and Angelica continue to talk into the night hours. Just catching up on things. A simple conversation between them. It's nice to just be around a trusted face.
