Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie is here at the club on a Monday evening. It is not as busy as a weekend, but it has a decent showing still. Tonight is recorded music instead of a live band. Sam is sitting at the corner of the bar, with a glass in front of him watching over the crowd.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Quiet suits Ekaterina just fine as noise is the bane of her preternatural senses. She has driven her small trashy hatchback over to Mutant Town from her large compound in Queens without any security tonight unwise as she ha accumulated many enemies over her 1200 years on this Earth. Tonight she wants to check out this mutant bar - perhaps even meet the proprietor. She props her small five foot nothing frame up on the surface of the bar with her elbows looking around with her comically large but alluring cornflower blue eyes. "Um," she says anticipating service.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie offers a nod in greeting. The bartender will come over to her asking for her order. A tallish neon yellow fellow. He has a nametag that labels him as Harvey. If you are paying attention you will see Sam has the same symbol on his button up shirt as Harvey has on his shirt. Harvey offers a smile and says "How may I help you miss?"

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"Can I get a Stone Sour cocktail?" Ekaterina asks. She nods to Samuel politely. "Are you Samuel Guthrie the owner?" this diminutive woman asks of the large blonde athlete.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over to her as Harvey goes to make her drink and says "Ah'm the manager, but yes ma'am Ah am Sam. The club is owned by DeCosta International." He offers in explanation. Yes Berto bought the place for Sam to run "How can Ah help you?" He asks.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"Ah the tentacles of corporate America reach everywhere nowadays. Hard to find a sole proprietor. I'm glad I predate the trend long enough to have accumulated enough money to beat it." Ekaterina takes a step back and curtsies before saying, "Sono la Contessa Ekaterina di Vespucci." She introduces herself as a Countess in Italian but the meaning is not hard to pick out for someone speaking English.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will look over and says "Well DeCosta is based out of Brazil, but they are a pretty good parent company." He listens to her, and then in Italian he says <A pleasure to meet you, pardon if my Itallian is a bit poor, it has been a bit since I spoke it.>

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Kat looks at Sam with her large cornflower blue eyes. "You are a mutant yes? I am as well. Not just a mutant but a special kind of mutant. And I think we may be closer kin than just the mutant thing. Take a look at me and see if you feel anything strange," Kat stands very still. "Actually better yet take my hand...."

Samuel Guthrie 's brow raises a bit having not expected this. He does slowly nod to the question about being a mutant, but the brow raises a bit more at the second part. He does gently take her hand and says "Something like?"

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Kat links her mind to Sam's through the touch. Kat's hands are small and soft. But also annoyingly covered in marble powder and paint flecks she can never get off given she is an obsessively productive artist. There is an instant flurry of images. Kat is apparently much older than she seems - Ekaterina is not even her real birth name. Many pivotal moments in history can be seen from the Dark Ages to the Renaissance and even Mussolinis Italy. "I'm an immortal Sam. They call us Externals," Kat says simply.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie 's mind shows he has some training in resisting telepathy. She feels resistance at first, but when it is just sharing info with him he relaxes some. "Interesting, I have met a few mutants, who are long lived, but nor heard of that term before." He explains to her. Not putting it together she means he is one as well.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"It's not just long lived - it's a literal immortality. I have been decapitated, burned to ash, impaled and disintegrated. I get better. That's what an External is. And I think you might be one too." Kat waits for the weight of her words to sink in to Samuel.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie his training allows him to hide most of his reaction, but the fact she seems to know he has died and came back does get a bit of a surprised reaction from him "Ah am not so sure about that, Ah will admit, Ah get better, but nothing as extreme as that." He admits.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"Well pray you don't find out - dying really sucks and coming back is painful. Plus most of us are bad guys. Selene, En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse and a whole bundle of nasties are practically your siblings. Even I'm not so nice sometimes despite being the nicest. Necessity wears down ones conscience over the eons. You might want explore the possibility that you are one of us. It might be good to have another more agreeable brother in the family from my perspective at least," Kat smiles awkwardly.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie 's brow does raise again at the two names, it seems the man has heard of them before. "And do you know what causes someone to become one of these Externals? It is just those who can come back from the dead?"

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"I'm not sure what makes us us. I can tell you that about the only thing that can kill one of us is another one of us. That means that there are some devils out there only you can put in the ground but they are about the only thing that can put you in the ground. And I can tell you that usually some trauma like dying causes our immortality to manifest. Personally I was poisoned in my throne room in the Holy Roman empire about 1200 years ago. Then I was alive again." Kat cants head examining Sam to see what he makes of this.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over to her, and thinks for a moment, but decides he will share "Ah had a run in with a Sentinel." He tells her of the robot mutant killers. "But as you said I got better."

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"Well if you don't get killed and come back again the easiest tell if you are an External is to wait a few decades and see if you age. If you don't you are probably one of us. Although some other mutants have proved resilient to the ravages of time but aren't one of us per se." Kat gets an urgent call. "We will have to continue this some other time - let me give you my card," Kat hands over her business card with a mobile number.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods and takes the card and says "I will look into it and give you a call sometime." He offers as she needs to head.
