A 'Family' reunion
Date of Scene: 20 September 2023
Location: Bushwick (Mutant Town), Brooklyn
Synopsis: Met with Alex completely by chance, there was a slightly tense comparing of memory.
Cast of Characters: Sinister, Havok

Sinister has posed:
It's night in the big city. But honestly, this is NYC. It never, ever goes to sleep. Club Evolution is hopping, what with the college students returning from summer vacations back where they belong, some in foreign climes. The music filters out into the streets surrounding, a local band or a new name on the block, out here it's all the same.

And the night life abounds, with hustlers, homebodies, hookers and hoodlums but none of them in particularly high numbers, because here, in Mutanttown, you don't just pick on the downtrodden, because they might just pick back.

It ain't much, but to many, it's home. Right? And down these darkened streets, wearing trench coat and collar turned up, a man with a dim red glow in his eyes, watches the world through a pair of sunglasses. It's cliche to wear such things at night, but Sinister doesn't seem to care. "I think I have time..." a check of his pocket watch and he nods, beginning to cross the street toward an alley beside Fred's Diner.
Havok has posed:
Alex is strolling out of the pulse, black leather jacket on over a red band tshirt, blue jeans and a pair of sneakers. He shakes his head in exasperation as he too starts crossing towards the diner. "This is why I avoid those places, I think I forgot what it was like to be a drunk college kid." The figure before himself gets a raised brow and he approaches cautiously. "Hey you, do I know you...you seem kinda familiar ya know?" Alex asks cautiously, getting closer but still staying a decent bit away.
Sinister has posed:
Sinister's back is currently turned to the incoming. The long hair is tied in a ponytail with not a hair out of place as he turns part profile to gaze across his shoulder at the club. "Oh, you're only ever young once. Idiocy unfortunately stands the test of time," english. Deep voice. He turns then, looking fully back and lets the shades slide down his nose a little, peering over the top of them. "Maybe I have one of those faces..."

The half-smile is amused but it fades to due consideration. "You probably crossed paths with me in a memory. Alex, isn't it? Alex Summers. It's been an age."
Havok has posed:
Alex shakes his head he does step back arms starting to come up as if he might think of using his powers. "No no no, you were a dream a figment of my imagination. I'm working to hard studying to much for that PHD!-Yea it's a hallucinat....wait how the hell do you know my name man?" The summers man starts pacing a bit. "There's no way you could know my name."
Sinister has posed:
Turning fully about, Sinister puts his hands in the small of his back, double-checks himself with a mild snort and slips his hands instead into his pockets, tilting his head to the side a margin, watching this reaction as if it's not the first time and surely won't be the last. "Ocham's razor. The simplest explanation is probably the most accurate. I know your name, because I know you. Quid pro quo, I'm slightly less figmenty as I am buried in a memory or two. You look ... well."

This with a look down and up and a surprisingly genuine smile. "What are you studying, may I ask? If you say something ridiculous though, I might have to pretend I didn't hear it and file it under a rock somewhere."
Havok has posed:
Alex thinks on this for a moment or two. "You're in a few of my memories...you know me...how....ooooohhhhhhhh!" Shaking his head back and forth. "I've got my Masters in Geo Physics and am starting on the PHD level courses for it. Always been a passion of mine."
Sinister has posed:
Sinister waits, watches whilst the pennies drop, one by one. Seems like a few of them are landing in the wrong slots or bouncing off though and his head remains tilted in calculated observation. "You have any idea what your thesis is going to be? I could probably show you a wealth of geo-physical anomalies ..." he starts then stops himself. "No matter. Anyway... it was a long time ago, Alex. You were knee high to a grasshopper. You've quite grown into yourself though..." he chews on his cheek, then glances past him, down the street, off into the distance.

"You spent a couple of years in my care and it was difficult, as I recall. You had quite considerable traumas. I think that's why I didn't stand in the way of you being adopted. It wasn't what was best." !!!
Havok has posed:
Havok nods his head. "Yea I remembered. I remember a lot when I need to, but the past is the past and what's done is done." He then looks back to Sinister. "What wasn't for the best, you standing in the way or me leaving? And why do so much more for me than Scott? I don't understand." Alex says honestly. "As for my thesis I honestly have no idea at the current juncture."
Sinister has posed:
"At times, neither do I." Sinister murmurs, mostly to himself. He focuses back though, clearing his throat once. "I did different things for Scott, none of which he sees the same way, I'm sure. It took me quite some time to figure out how to help him control his powers and more than a few holes in the roof." He pulls a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, considers them, then sets one to his lips and lights it, proffering the pack toward Alex in silent invite.

With cigarette bobbing and silver-grey wreathing half his face in curls and eddies he continues "You'll have to forgive me, vocalizing complex feelings and observations in a nutshell is challenging. You stood a better chance of fullfilling yourself with a family support. At least that's what I thought at the time. I have to admit, it was one of my errors in judgement, I should never have let you two be separated."
