A Kryptonian Lesson
Date of Scene: 07 October 2023
Location: Fortress of Solitude, Marie Bryd Land
Synopsis: Clark and Lois.
Cast of Characters: Superman, Lois Lane

Superman has posed:
Clark Kent is dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a simple black t-shirt. Sky blue eyes work at the Kryptonian Computer. Fingers go over everything quickly. In the Fortress of Solitude is Lois Lane. She's here to take in a lesson on Krypton.

"Alright. Here goes," Clark says before putting in the final sequence. Everything becomes awash in a blue-green life. It's a snapshot of Kryptonian Life.

Structures sprawl upward. Now, the light only goes so far, so it's chunks of buildings. The various outer walls look like some kind of plating placed upon metal or crystal. Almost like a happy, bright alien neo-gothic style. Walking on the ground are various people. Each of them wearing different attires.

First there is a woman wearing what looks like a purple robe or tabard. It rests upon a black suit. She has her face covered n what could be described as a mask missing the eyecoverng, or some kind of headdress. Bits of gold accents sprawl down and are fragmented.

Most of the people are dressed in various outfits. A couple look like tunics that touch the top of their thighs. Some are shorter. They come in different color. Some are just simple one colored ones. Others have some accents and designs.

"The woman was one of council members often wore attire like this one. Same with some of the scientists. Well, Guild members. Krypton was run by coalition of guilds, similar to a senate. However, Krypton used people from different fields. Scientists, Artists, Teachers, and every worth while position had their own seat within Kryptonian politics. It's a way some societies say the home world is advanced," Clark continues to explain and he hops that Lois isn't too lost in this moment. It's a photo the two can walk through. A static image to be observed, even up close.
Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane is here, dressed in business attire - blue blazer and matching skirt, over a crisp white blouse, complete with a notebook, just to get her brain in the right mode. She is hoping to write an article about Kryptonian life, even if this might end up feeling more like a weird all too casual, virtual vacation for which she's likely overdue.

As the world changes around them, she peers around in wide eyed wonder at the futuristic structures and strange attire of the citizens, scribbling notes furiously. "Wow..It's really an advanced civilization, isn't it.."

She frowns and pauses, thinking, "Guild members, okay. And what about you, Clark? What guild did you belong to? I'm guessing science right? I mean your parents were scientists as I recall..?"
Superman has posed:
"It was, but it was flawed too. People didn't listen to Scientists like my father. And General Zod with his military faction growing. Krypton was prone to flaws, that's what this is a memory instead of anything more," Clark admits honestly. A sadness starts to waver into his voice.

"I wish I could have seen it. I wish I could have met my family," Clark says honestly. It's a rare side of sadness that lingers. Something few people see. One of the few exceptions being Kara.

"I know Kara's Mom was the Head of Security for her division. The world is a lot like this one, but with it's own quirks," Clark pivots tryng to go back to happier times.
Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane arches a brow, "Hmm, sounds problematic, so what, these guilds were competing for power? Was there not just one person who ruled over everyone, like a president or leader? Was there a democracy and how did you know what guild you belonged to?" she continues scribbling notes, biting the end of her pen thoughtfully. So many questions she has.

She blinks at his reaction, stepping closer and resting a hand on his shoulder, "I'm sorry, I'm sure this brings back a lot of bad memories. We can always stop here if you prefer?"
Superman has posed:
"No. But it's politics. Some people think higher of themselves," Clark admits that one. It's a little hard, but it does shatters a picture of Krypton once held. "My father was seen as nuts," Clark is a little upset about that.

Sky blue eyes look back to her for a moment. "They were all supposed to be equal, but when people brought problems to the various guild heads, the heads could be played. Kryptonians were a lot like humans," he says with some happines in the voice. Clark is so different on Earth.
Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane nods in agreement. "Not much different from humans than.." she sighs, "And here I thought things were better, more advanced on Krypton, both technically and socially..."

She shakes her head, writing more notes. "I suppose people will have their own opinions but why would they call your dad stupid? isn't it thanks to him that you're alive today?"
Superman has posed:
"I think it was just willful ignorance. I'm not entirely sure. Dad has his opinions on here, but I can't judge. You know what they say. You have two opinions, thee truth is somewhere in the miiddle. I don't have the other point," Clark admits softly and that bugs him. The eye slook at her for a moment. "I do think it was a mix. Like they did not want to gve up life as it was," he admits and shakes his head.
Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane arches a brow, "Life as it was? Why would they have to give it up? Actually, I'm still not entirely sure what led to the end of Krypton, was it just that the sun was about to supernova or was there more to the story?" she peers at him with concern, knowing it's probably a sensitive topic. "You don't have to answer that, we can end here if you prefer."
Superman has posed:
"Well, that's were the logs aren't clear. It sounds like if one thing wouldn't have undone the planet, another problem would have. The science guild was mining natural resources making the world unstable," then there's a pause. "There's also research to suggest that a nearby star was about to go Super Nova. And this is before the inner strife of Krypton fits into the question." Clark let's out a sigh. "It was like Krypton was fated to die. Either planet would have gone unstable or the exploding star would have ended it."
Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane sighs and shakes her head. "Then there's nothing anyone could have done..At least your parents were able to send you away so you could live your life somewhere safer. And you have friends here and a new family. That's good right?" she offers him an encouraging smile, adding another nite. "Perhaps that's enough for tonight. We should relax for the rest of the night, reliving those memories can not have been pleasant but I appreciate you showing."
Superman has posed:
"They tried to send more ships, but I'm not sure if there was a lack of time or resouces," Clark says sadly. There were plans, but again, the records of -why- weren't really recorded. "That's the sad part about the end. Everyone was worried about survival. No one was really documenting that last days. It left a lot of unanswered questions," he sighs a little bit.

"I didn't live these memories. To me it's an interactive scrapbook that I can't change. Not even Superman can help," and that's the other thing he hates. It reminds him that even if he ahd been there, with all of his powers, it would have done nothng to save Krypton.
Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane nods, "Of course, you were just a baby, you likely don't remember any thing at all.." her hand resting on his shoulder doesn't move, offering him as much comfort as she can. "I can imagine there were a lot of unanswered questions but you have done well to adapt to a new world." she smiles, "I think we have enough material for now, shall we take a break?"
