Kryptonian Lesson Part Two.
Date of Scene: 29 October 2023
Location: Fortress of Solitude, Marie Bryd Land
Synopsis: Clark and Lois.
Cast of Characters: Superman, Lois Lane

Superman has posed:
Clark begins to run the hands over the various crystals and keys. Lois is there with him in the Fortress of Solitude. Just like the last time, he'll put in a sequence and with the final key stroke, the room washes in a blue glow. Again, another moment of Kryptonian captured in a picture. The closest humans have are simple pictures that can be posted to a wall. This is something to the next level.

What comes before her is an image that doesn't have all the details of last time. This is two people in a grandiose room. It's open with walls that go upward in more of a dome shape. A man with hair barely touching his shoulders looks at a computer monitor. While the hair is combed back, looking somewhat kept, the beard could use a little bit of a trim. It's a bit bushy.

On a large screen near him is a symbol is a "V" like pattern with a circle at each end and one in the center where the two lines meet.

A little ways away from him is a woman with long hair that has a small waviness to it. In her arms is a small child. She has a pin of a Kryptonian Crest near her left shoulder. Lois would recognize Superman's symbol instantly. The same one is on the man's chest to his own robes.

"These should be obvious," Clark says honestly and he goes to look at the man. The pair share the same eyes. "Dad was a scientist, but had more things to care about instead of haircuts and shaving. Makes me think I might look good if I try a look like this," he gives a grin that's obviously masking a little sadness with this image.
Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane blinks slowly as the holograms move and shift around her, peering up in silent awe at the large futuristic home..

And then there are the two people and baby with the family crest which catch her attention.

"So that's your as a baby then..? Wait are you saying even then you were known as Superman?" she asks, inspecting the S crest. "How..Curious..Or did the S stand for something else?"
Superman has posed:
"It was a family crest. Yes, it means hope, but my family adapted it ages ago. This is why Kara's family has similar symbols, too," he pauses for a moment. "Every Kryptonian family has a crest, not unlike family during the medieval ages. Kryptonians just found a way to compact them rather than hoist around large banners everywhere. Some homes would have the banners, though. I've seen images of my grandfather's place and he has them," Clark says honestly as he moves about the place.

He moves toward the computer and presses a few more keys. A separate image floats within this one. There's one symbol and another a few moments later. One fading into another. The cycle repeats a few more times, but one symbol does have a "Z" shape to it. "I don't know every family symbol, but I have traced most of them back to a lineage."
Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane hmms, peering at the scene thoughtfully, nodding. "You look so small, so vulnerable...But if your parents could see you now, how strong and powerful and yet kind hearted, I'm sure they would be proud of you." she smiles reassuringly to him.

The Z symbol is noted next and she frowns as she studies it.. "So what symbol is that, and what family do you trace your lineage back to..?"
Superman has posed:
"I hope so. My Mother was kind. Dad was, too, but he was a scientist. So, I know he may be more analytical at times," Clark did get glimpses of warmth from his father. Enough to tell him Dad would be proud and take time out of his day to help his son. However, Clark gets there feeling there may be days where the research came first.

"That symbol belongs to a member of the Defense Council. Think Kryptonian's military branch. General Zod. He was good until an attempted Coup toward the end. That tarnished all of his good will and effort. A good apple gone bad," Clark says with some sadness and regret in his voice. "We have no relation, but he did look down upon my Dad and other council members according to some of my father's private notes," Clark isn't quite sure how to see Zod. There is evidence to show before Zod tried the Coup that their relationship was much different.
Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane frowns softly, shaking her head. "Ah, I think you mentioned this Zod fellow before, didn't you? Dodnt he also survive Krypton or something?" she sighs, shaking her head. "But why did he defect like that..?"
Superman has posed:
"I don't know. I wish I did. I know there was growing tension with Kryptonian's government toward the end. I think that may have been the boiled over reaction of the military. Like a last, and violent, reaction to maybe fix things," Clark says with sadness washing over him. He's a little sad to know a civilization that would be considered prosperous had an overall destructive end at almost every level of the word. "I know there was a lot of bad feelings and tension that mounted. Zod was imprisoned, but the last said about that the better. Kryptonian Jails are a curse with a small ounce of a blessing."
Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane arches a brow, "I am sorry, it sounds like Krypton had a sad and tragic history. But now I am curious, what exactly were Kryptonian prisons like? I imagine the technology involved in holding prisoners was equally advanced.." she pauses, studying his face. "You don't need to answer that if you don't want to."
Superman has posed:
"They're pocket dimensions, basiclaly. People don't age within them much, if at all. You don't want for food and drink, but the world moves on without you. And you feel things in real time. Like a really slow suspended animation. Existing almoost out of tme," Clark says honestly knowng that this sounds bad. He is honest like that. It can be quite a bit.
Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane blinks, "Oh wow, that sounds quite horrible..But where is this pocket dimension? Now that Kryptonite is no more, what has become of all those prisoners?" she frowns, seeming a tad empathetic or at least sympathetic to their plight, although it is better than torture or death at least? "I wonder what is the rehabilitation rate of prisoners after they serve their term..Or are they banished there forever..."
Superman has posed:
"There's a rate. I think it's just t let them know the world is changing and let them see the wrld a new once out. But I know where it is. That's another discussion," Clark says knowing that he has the prison. Hwever, he wants to be sure it's safely accesed for various different safety reasons.
Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane arches a brow, "So it's a secret location? I guess it makes sense..." she sighs, "It sounds like a frightening place though..Do you think it is a just and fair punishment for those involved?"
