Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley sits on the edge of a building, overlooking the street, eating out of a bag of caramel popcorn she had tucked in her belt. Her costume is still a bit homespun, seeming, not the slick hi-tech stuff most of the Bat-crowd has. She isn't sure she quite qualifies - while she's technically approved to act, she's never been close to the big guy, never been one of the chosen. She's never going to be Robin in this world. She's just Kestrel, a stray bird who sometimes joins the flock.

She has on her black domino mask, her blonde hair tousled and cut short. She's not wearing the cape tonight, trying out a simple jumpsuit with a flared collar and a few pouches for weapons and tools, most notably her trusty slingshot tucked in the waistband. However, so far, it seems to be a rare quiet night for crime in Gotham.

"Probably planning something. Unfortunately, very hard to catch someone in the act of planning evil. They don't exactly do it in dark alleys. Probably. The lighting is terrible," she says to herself.

     She drops her butt down and swings those new boots, She's got on her Christmas gear today .. looking like a Harley Quinn elf, actually. She even has a bag of something! " Ya not gonna get any big boys.. to early in the xmas season.. give it another week.. right now ya only gonna find petty crime. "

Carrie Kelley swears under her breath, "Honestly, I shouldn't be surprised. I'm so used to people in this town sneaking up on me. I've gotta get better at that. I just...get lost in my own thoughts," she says.

She turns her head and squints for a moment, "Harley, right? I don't...really know you. I more know of you. I guess I haven't been around much lately. I'm Carrie. Kestrel. Whatever," she says. "You look super festive, at least. I bet some of the old Robins felt a little that way in the red and gold and green," she says. "You want some hot chocolate?"

Harley Quinn Beams a big smile " Thats right," She gives a hug to the other girl " I would love some hot chocolate!.. now from your outfit I can see you wanna be a hero.. any reason why? " she asks, looking at the girl " Don't worry I'm a good guy now " she holds up a baterang from her own tool belt! " I work with batsie now " .

Carrie Kelley isn't expecting the hug and blushes a little bit at it, "Uh, sure, um, no problem!" she says. "It helps keep you warm on colder nights like this. I've gotten some faux fleece lining the thing, it's nice and warm, but Jack Frost still does his nipping," she says.

She gets out a thermos from her belt and unscrews the top, gently pouring some into the lid to use as a cup and passing it steaming over to the clown girl. "I think I'd gotten an idea of that. I'm glad. You always had too much style, I wouldn't have really wanted to kick you in the face."

Harley Quinn Grins " it's not that easy to kick me," she grins as she sips the coco " ohh nice.. cold doesn't work on me like other people," she chuckles. " Side effect of being dipped in chems " .

     she looks to the girl " So why you trying to be a hero ?" She looks to the girl of course, she's in phd harley mode.. checking to make sure the girl is okay and not doing something stupid.

Carrie Kelley laughs softly, "Wow, going straight to the deep and existential. Uh...I guess I just wanted to do some good. I kind of fell into it by accident, almost. There was a rush to it, the excitement, the danger. And I got to beat up some really nasty people sometimes, people who deserved to get their asses kicked," she says.

"Then I went to college and put it on hold for a while, but I don't really know what I want to do with my career yet and so I came back to Gotham for a bit and now I've been on patrol for like two week straight. Is it weird that I just...like it?"

Harley Quinn Looks at her "Yes and no.. it's super dangerous and very risky, and if you don't have the right skills, your just gonna wind up dead " She looks at her. " most people who want do this have a bigger reason than just feels good " .

     She looks down and sips more coco " I mean even me.. I like it, but that's a side effect, not the cause " .

Carrie Kelley keeps her eyes down, "There are personal reasons, too, but...I don't wanna talk about any of that," she says. "I tried to put it behind me, as much as I can. And old wounds aren't really a good reason. We just act like they are. It's just how it got started. I keep going because I really do think I'm doing good. And I do have the skills - plenty of them, as a matter of fact," she says, straightening up just a little bit. "How do I always end up being the weirdo wherever I go?"

Harley Quinn Lifts an eyebrow. " Oh? " She cocks her head she stands up and fishes into her belt "Here it's a signal. You push it, and we'll know you're in trouble, okay. I'm not like Batsie and tell you not to do this stuff, but it's is scary stuff.. when I was a villian, I didn't care if I killed ya " .

Carrie Kelley takes it, "Uh, thanks," she says. "I can handle myself. Really. I'm impulsive and maybe a little crazy sometimes, but not stupid. I figure you know a little what that's like," she says. She knew enough about Harley to know she'd once been a doctor. Well, probably still was - lazy bastards probably never got around to pulling her license.

"If you ever need anybody to do research or like...investigate stuff, I'm pretty good at that sort of thing. And I'm not as holier-than-thou as some."

Harley Quinn grins and chuckles. " Then press the button if you wanna chat." she smiles and nods ' Alright so figure you wanna go on patrol. Have fun " she gives a bright wave even as she puts a massive hammer on her shoulder. " now I gotta find somebody to crack skulls with " She chuckles.
