Coffee with the princess

Location:	Angelica Jones' Apartment, Morrisania
Synopsis:	Diana came by Angelica's place to have some coffee, eat pastries, and just be friends hanging out for a while.

Firestar has posed:
Angelica invited Diana to come by for some coffee and conversation. It's not always easy to do that at the Watchtower or even the Hall of Justice. She told her the door would be open and to come in.

She has coffee brewed and some sort of raspberry and cream cheese filled pastries waiting. She has on a pair of cut off shorts and a black t shirt, just kinda relaxed for a change.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince arrives at the agreed upon time and knocks anyway. It isn't appropriate to just enter another's home even when given an open door. Sharing one's home offers a level of power to another and it should not be disregarded.

On knocking she eases the door open and enters. She is dressed down and bundled up for the winter weather. A soft angora sweater, pale denim jeans and hiking boots. She wears a red and white knit cap. Manhattan winter is cold, even for a demi goddess.

"Hello" she offers as she moves far enough inside to see her friend and peer. "Thank you for inviting me over Angelica. Your home is very nice" she offers as she looks around curiously. It is always interesting to see the decroative style and tastes of her friends. Each is so different.

"How have yuo been? Were your holidays good?"

Firestar has posed:
Looking as Diana enters, Angelica smiles and motions her in. The cold weather is a killer for so many, but oddly enough she isn't too bothered by appearances.

She moves to the kitchen and starts to pour two cups of coffee,"Thank you. A friend of mine helped me get it. Then went behind my back and paid for a year of rent. He's something else. A little growly, but a heart of a Prince. A really grumpy Prince sometimes, but a Prince none the less."

She chuckles and asks,"How do you take you coffee?" She indicates the pastries and adds,"Get some of these out of my reach too. My hips talk too much when I eat a lot of sugar."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince can certainly withstand it. But there's just something about being warm and comfy. Perhaps she is getting too soft from being around mortals for so long? The thought amuses her.

"It suits you. A prince you say? From a particular nation?"

Oh... coffee. That lights her eyes up. Yes she does like coffee. She surely has been around mortals too long.

"Mmm.. I can drink it black but I find that I prefer cream and sweetener."

She nibbles her lower lip in consideration as she eyes the pastries. "They all look delicious. Do you have plates?" She could eat with her hands but making a mess? Unthinkable!

Firestar has posed:
She chuckles softly and shakes her head,"He's from Canada. Not literally a Prince per say, just a very good friend with a large bank account and no desire to spend it on many things."

She opens a cabinet to get down the sweetner and sugar. Closing it she opens another to get two plates. Lastly she gets a glass jar of real cream, not creamer, but actual cream.

She winks at her friend and tells her,"I have been guilty of walking around carrying these little monsters and crumbling everywhere. That's what the vacuum is for." She puts two spoons of cream in each cup and adds a packet of sweetner into both. Stirring them up she asks,"Little more or that about right?"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince makes an 'ah' expression, "I understand now. It is good to have friends like that. They are a true treasure when found."

"Thank you" she offers for the plate and sets a pastrie on it. Looking to the cream she laughs softly, "Oh.. actual cream. It isn't often I get to indulge like this."

She watches and considers, "Mmm.. just a little more cream will be perfect, thank you."

Moving to sit, she takes a small bite of her pastrie. "They're delicious. The Embassy often has treats like this. I keep telling Ferdinand we do not need so many, but he loves to bake. It is difficult to refuse him."

Firestar has posed:
She chuckles softly,"You might have seen him on the news. The media calls him the Wolverine." she tells her,"He's one of a kind. A fiercer warrior I have never met. You are fierce, but he's just...it's hard to explain. If he loses his temper he is a machine. It's at once impressive and terrifying."

She chuckles softly and adds a little more cream, stirring it,"I prefer the real deal. I don't always have it, but I did today." She gives over the coffee to Diana. After that she grabs a danish for her and walks over to the couch,"You are going to have to teach me your work out regiment Diana. I love these things too much."

Taking a seat she replies,"I haven't been to the Embassy in a while. I keep thinking I will stop in to catch you and visit, but I thought this might be a little easier for both of us."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince smiles, "That is a name I have heard over the years, yes. We haven't met but I am somewhat aware of his reputation." She reaches for the offered cup and nods, "Thank you Angelica." She sips from it and smiles approval.

Laughing she shakes her head, "Be careful what you ask for.." it's teasing. "We can arrange a time for some training. You would make a fine Amazon I am certain. My sisters will surely see to it."

"Mm yes. The Embassy has been busy. With the holidays passed, the schedule at the UN has renewed with vigor."

Firestar has posed:
"He has trained me some in the past, but not for a while." she admits about Wolverine.

She smiles,"You're welcome of course." she tells her in regards to the coffee. Settling into a seat she smiles,"That would be the best Christmas present ever. Learn from the Amazons." she muses,"I am a fool for hard work. That would be amazing."

She considers the holidays and admits,"The holidays were a little quiet, but not in a bad way. My dad and I are pretty estranged and I finally put him on an information diet. We don't talk a lot. My girlfriend and I haven't caught up a lot lately."

She manages a smile and adds,"When I fly over, the place looks like it is always busy or at least always something happening. Usually why I keep flying. I don't want to bother people."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince smiles and nods. "Well then we can arrange a time to get you whipped into shape." She sips at her drink and listens, "It is difficult when family is not close. I'm sorry you've had to experience that." Tilting her head she looks curious, "You haven't seen your girlfriend? Just because of the holiday rush?" She looks briefly concerned but then smiles.

"It is difficult to determine an ideal time to stop by the embassy by flying over" she teases. "I have been called backwards because I do not prefer to use technolgy for 'everything'.. but I do know how to use a phone and how to send texts.." she teases, "You can always reach out if you're nearby and see if I have time. I would not mind."

Firestar has posed:
"I would love that." she admits,"I would love to train with the Amazons. Like Wolverine they are among the most elite if not the most elite. she says sounding a little fan girl in her tone.

She forces a little smile and admits,"She is still connected to Xavier's school and I just don't go there anymore. I should go and talk with them. I chose you and the League over the X-Men so..." she shrugs.

"We go through spells where we just don't have time. It's part of life. Eventually we usually find our way."

She smiles at the mention of her fly over. She takes the tease with a soft chuckle,"Ok. I promise next time I fly over I will reach out and see what you are doing."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince smiles. "Just because you didn't chose one organization over another should not mean you cannot remain friends. We are all seeking to make the world a better and safer place. If you care for each other, you should not let opinions of others affect you. It would be a shame if you did."

With a nod, she agrees, "You should" reach out when in the area."

She nibbles at her pastry before asking, "How did you and your girlfriend meet? At the Institute, then?"

Firestar has posed:
"The headmistress and I had a blow up. Red head verses red head is never good." she admits,"I am not angry anymore, but I don't know where she stands. I should just go and find out." she admits. Taking a bite of her pastry she sighs happily at the joy of flavors.

"I am going to go back, I jsut haven't taken the time." she admits.

A smirk and she adds,"I will. I promise. Just promise me if you're busy you'll tell me. I am always glad to see you, but we all have lives."

She nods lastly and tells her,"Yes. We met at the institute. She's amazing, we just have bad timing of late."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince nods, "That's good. It is always best to try and resolve differences. Even if it isn't possible you will know you did all that you could."

She brushes her hair back and smiles, "It is difficult to maintain relationships in our chosen lives. Being on a moment's notice for any global emergency can strain the strongest of relationships. If it is one worth fighting for, it will certainly take effort from the both of you. I hope that you can both work through it."

Firestar has posed:
"I will do it. You are right. I should make sure there aren't burnt bridges. If there are burnt bridges, well I tried my part. You, Superman, Batman, Supergirl, and Power Girl have all been good to me. Accepted me with the probverbial open arms. I haven't felt so accepted other than when I arrived in Canada and joined with Alpha Flight and the subsidary teams. They made me family, you've all made me feel as good about the team as they did about theirs."
