Another night in another cemetery..
Date of Scene: 03 March 2024
Location: Darlington Park, Sunnydale
Synopsis: Faith meets a new comer in town who helps her slay vampires
Cast of Characters: Faith Lehane, Crimson Wolf

Faith Lehane has posed:
There have been a number of crazy events going on in the park lately but locals are used to wear rShe's in Sunnydale and usually pass it off as drunks, druggies or Highschool pranks. like weird weather, or random stone statues popping up.

There are rumours of course but nothing concrete. You're crazy for believing in demons even if superheroes exist in other parts of the world. At any rate tonight is quiet in Darlington park, maybe a little too quiet..
Crimson Wolf has posed:
Arthur had decided to rest up in Sunnydale from his trip. But the crazy events that he had heard about had drawn his attention.

He normally did not use his costume. It was a new thing for him. He had made it flexible enough, but just the idea of being a vigilante of any sort was still new to him. Let alone some sort of superhero type. But the way he designed it was also so that he could blend into crowds. That had lead to his arrival on foot to the park, his black outfit one that looked more street worthy. The ceramic mask was not on as he walked the park, trenchcoat closed and buttoned up to hide what he wears underneath.

Otherwise, he shows the appearance of someone who is just out for a night walk. Complete with a drink in hand. Probably something caffeinated.
Faith Lehane has posed:
Thankfully there are not a lot of people in the park tonight who might stop and stare at a crazy costume. But then there are crazier costumes.

Somewhere nearby, a couple are kissing, rather aggressively at that. As the guy pulls back, he hates his teeth...Wait are those fangs? What's wrong with his face? Looks like weird ridges on his forehead...Is that guy even human?

No longer romantic, he grabs her and pins her against a tree, exposing her neck as he continues to bare fangs.
Crimson Wolf has posed:
Arthur was about to just continue his walk, but well... fangs? And... an ugly as hell face? That caught his attention. He takes a loud sip of his drink. The loudest he can.

Interruption by someone is undoubtedly one thing. That he's doing his best to be the most annoying? That's something.

Clearing his throat, he glances at the drink in hand, then at the weird looking guy. Then he stares a bit, "Um... what is wrong with your face, and are those fangs? Oh, can you let her go and not do whatever you are about to? I am sure there is some sort of public decency law out there."
Faith Lehane has posed:
The vampire blinks in surprise as someone casually asks him about his face rather than simply scream and run.

The girl he's got pinned. to the tree doesn't seem as scared as she should be, but with the vamp briefly distracted, it makes her job a bit easier.

"Heh, he sure is ugly, isn't he?" she quips as she effortlessly twists out of his grasp then kicks him hard in the nuts.
Crimson Wolf has posed:
That makes Arthur wince. And consider adding something to protect against that to his gear. Nah.

And he looks at what is now undoubtedly a downed ugly guy, then at the girl.

"Ow." He sums up the poor man's situation.

Then he looks carefully at the girl. Very, very carefully it seems as he walks closer.

"Right... looks like when they said weird things happen in this park, they were not joking. So he a mugger or something else?"
Faith Lehane has posed:
The girl doesn't respond but continues beating up the vampire, rather violently as she grabs him by the hair and smashes his face against a nearby tree trunk.

"You sure have guts, making wise cracks like that. Good thing I'm one of the good guys!"

She smirks, clearly having fun, seeming to enjoy the violence before pausing, nodding to the newcomer. "Behind you!" she warns, and two more vamps creep up behind him, one waving a lead pipe aimed at his head.
Crimson Wolf has posed:
Arthur was already on edge. And the warning has him twisting around and moving at the same time.

It was guess work, but the sight of the incoming pipe showed he was at least partially right.

"Thank you!" He calls back as he moves more.

Unlike hers, his is more formal seeming. The edges of his trenchcoat flare a bit as he swings himself around. The unarmed one is his main target as he tries to put it between him and the armed one.

Not to mention punch it in the gut hard with enough force to break brick.

Qi is very useful for harming something that's so not human.

"What are they?" He asks the obvious ally he has.
Faith Lehane has posed:
The first vampire is a lot tougher and stronger than it first appears. Faster too. The powerful punch sends it staggering back a foot or two, briefly stunned, but barely breaking a sweat. A blow that could break its rubs barely caused it to flinch and it's already rushing at him, swinging that pipe with eye blurring speed at his face while vamp no. 2 attempts to sweep him off his feet.
Crimson Wolf has posed:
Arthur was moving right after the blow. Staying still for something like that? The pipe is what he was most wary of.

And that makes him take his eyes off of the one sweeping his feet. It ends up with him on his back and rolling away from the two with a spin to get back to at least kneeling.

Reaching into the coat, he pulls a weapon of his own. A sword of all things. A nice, sharp one at that.

"Stronger and faster. Fangs. I would ask if you are vampires, but you look more like demons to me." Arthur says. "At least the lady talks."
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane quickly finishes off her own vampire without breaking a sweat, watching with an amused smirk as he pulls out a sword and gets serious. "Mm, you got guts, but can you deliver?" she seems bemused as she watches the vamps circle him, resting him, lashing out with a coordinated pincher attack.

They're faster and tougher than your typical vamps but he's not your average human either.

"Cut their heads off, that's one of the ways to kill a vamp!" she offers.
Crimson Wolf has posed:
A pincer attack is something that Arthur is not going to stay in place for.

He leaps away and up, letting their pincher possibly hit each other as he lands nearer towards where Faith is.

Then he rushes forward, hoping the pincher gave him an opening to take out the unarmed one by doing as she said. Swinging at it's head to try to kill it quickly. The strike is more textbook than anything, but it is a quick and decent one.

He hops back right after to try to keep out of the lead pipe wielding one's range hopefully.
Faith Lehane has posed:
The vampire's head gets lopped off and it starts to fall to the ground but turns to dust before it even reaches the ground. The second vamp snarls and gets ready to charge him but the mystery girl hurls a wooden stake that hits it square in the chest. It shrieks in pain before also sinking to the ground in a pile of dust.

Faith steps out of the shadows and smiths as she retrieves the stake. "Heh not bad, you didn't even flinch. I.." she frowns as her phone beeps, peering at her watch. "I gotta go, but swing by the Bronze sometime. Seeya!" she grins and winks before running off.
