Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Starfire, Robin (Wayne), Wonder Girl

Starfire has posed:
It would have happened, perhaps sometime in the dead of night. Likely it was done by a Robin, or one of the more stealthy types.

When Starfire did it, it was usually with far more fanfare and pomp and circumstance. And hugs. One cannot forget the hugs.

And so, perhaps, Starfire wasn't the best of choice to deliver the communicator to Damian Wayne. But however he ended up getting it in his hands, he had one. With the T symbol and everything on the front, and when he flips it open - well, there would be a map inside, already loaded on the display screen. With the Titans Tower set for the GPS.

And it would be entirely up to him if he should follow it here.

But as for what was right here, right now?

Princess Koriand'r of Tamaran, affectionately called Starfire - was floating around in the lobby of the Tower, her bright green eyes swooping from the person she was speaking to, to the door. And who was she speaking to?

This woman, in rapid fire Cantonese, was chatting at Kori, and Kori was following along with wide eyes.

<<"I understand,">> she says. <<"Friends and your family have gone missing in a certain part of town - and the police are stumped. We can certainly look into this too, although we are not detectives for the most part. Please do not lose hope - the police themselves - they are very good in this city as well!">> says Starfire, clutching the woman's hand tightly. <<"But anything you can give us will be good.">>

The woman nods, releases Starfire's hand, and walks towards the door, looking dejected to a certain extent, her eyes going earthward and slumped shoulders. And Star herself was difficult to not see the dejection on her own features, coming to a land and letting her shoulders droop, as hands fold in front of herself.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
A stones throw from Gotham, nothing that Damian couldn't handle himself. After 'borrowing' one of the Redbird prototypes from the Batcave, the young teen made his way to the GPS coordinates: Titans Tower.

The newest incarnation of Robin pulled the motorcycle in, he was dressed in his uniform, complete with bat-tech mask and all. His green boots started to walk towards the door. It wasn't his preferred method of showing up, but he'd been invited after all. No use in skulking in the shadows.

Robin entered the tower, regarding the lady with a small nod. What business she had with the Titans was not his business, yet.

Wonder Girl has posed:
The elevator *dings* open at the back of the lobby and Cassie emerges, though she looks a little pre-occupied, backpack slung over one shoulder, phone out in the other hand, and something that looks like the tail end of some kind of energy bar in her mouth. Girl is taking multitasking seriously! Of course, assaulted by such myriad distractions, she got on going the wrong way, having planned to head up to the roof and maybe fly off to save some time. Even to mighty heroic Titans, elevators are a tricksy foe.

So the door opens and she blinks a time or two, and mutters with her half mouthful, before spotting the rearview of a particular golden alien princess. "Aw crap ah--" *chew, gulp* "Blah. Oh, heya Kori. Hmm?" And a tilt of her head as, walking up to close some of that distance, she spots the woman that Starfire is talking to. "She lost her-" Erm. "What happened?" Starfire's waaaay better at the language thing, compared to the few words Cassie remembers from all the places her mom dragged her. And then there's the figure that walks in behind her. "Who's the kid?"

Starfire has posed:
Starfire's moods could switch at the drop of a hat, to the brightest day to the blackest night. But even as her eyes start to light up at Damian's approach, there was still a lingering sense of concern still upon her features. And as her features grow brighter, indeed, her eyes glow brighter and the young woman starts to float up off of the floor of the place.

But Cassie speaks, and Starfire twists back to her. A beat. Cassie didn't have to see the smooch Star had given the woman to begin the conversation with. Which was probably best for all those around. "Ah... um... hmmn..." she says.

"In Flushing, in New York?" she says. "A lot of people have gone missing - people dear to this woman," says Star, pointing towards the door. Of course, Damian was there and not the woman so much. So the pointing may be less helpful.

"But!" Star glances his way, pursing her lips some.

"This is Robin - do you remember - the person who we sent a communicator to?"

It is with that that - although she was floating, Star kinda leads with her shoulders, pivoting in the air to go from a stand, to a horizontal point towards Damian, floating over his way in a quick heartbeat, before going vertical again. "Greetings and welcome to the Tower!" Star enthuses. "You must be wondering why you are here, yes? And why you have one of..." Starfire points at the communicator, "Those!"

"This is how we ask new people to join our group, the Titans - and we hope that you will do so!"

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian had raised an eyebrow to Cassie's comment, but held his tongue. For now, he was content in observing his surroundings.

The Boy Wonder made a note of the lady, and her plight of missing friends and family, he would perhaps have to look further into that.

Damian held out the communicator, nodding to Starfire. "Clever way of getting my attention." He offers, before he places the device into his utility belt. "The Titans...I thought there was already one of us here." He mentions, meaning Red Robin, his predecessor, the worlds second greatest detective, a moniker that ate at Damian somewhat.

Wonder Girl has posed:
"Oh yeah, that makes sense. They've got great Chinese food there." And probably the people who go with it! "We got any more intel? Detectiving, hmm, that's probably... not my strongest suit. Most of the investigating I ever did was, y'know, looking for people that were already thousands of years dead with my mom." Cassie does follow Starfire's gesture, though, back to the young man she's spotted at the door, and when the princess takes off, she does likewise, though it's more like a long, floating hop-step than the Tamaranean's full-horizontal routine.

Either way, she's just a soaring step behind Kori, landing and giving her backpack a little heft. "Oh yeah, I remember," she says as she settles beside the other woman. "I uh, figured he'd be... taller?" It's a little bit of a Stormtrooper moment, there, as she regards the... obviously not quite grown person who is to be their newest recruit. Still, that aside, she's not unfriendly, and in fact, in a sign of much the opposite flashes a grin when the young man wonders about his identity. "Oh, that's hardly a problem. There's two of me, too. Or were, kinda."

Starfire has posed:
Perhaps he could. Perhaps he could even help Cassie do so.

Perhaps he could even ask /Starfire/ to help with detective work. GASP!

"Oh, yes - we all talked about it, and we feel..." A handful of moments, and Starfire lands near Damian proper, the somewhat tall young woman - okay, she was quite tall - offering her hands to Damian. "... that we could benefit from someone of your skills. What just came through the door is..." A beat. "It is the best timing. We have many wonderful people who can pick up cars and throw them, but when it comes to the mysteries and finding clues - it would perhaps be most intelligent to have more than just the other Robin who is attuned to clues."

Even if Damian wouldn't let Starfire grab his hands and squeeze them most affectionately, Starfire would stand there with big eyes, like an expectant puppy.

"Would you like a tour of our tower?" she asks.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
A slight raising of his upper lip showed a dissatisfaction with the comment on his height. "My size and weight are perfect for quick maneuverability and to keep enemies off-balance." The youngest (and smallest) Caped Crusader took a pause, turning his forearm and typed on the gauntlet computer. He did grit his teeth a little bit as Starfire offered her hands, Robin unfortunately was not the most affectionate type with new people.

He smirked, somehow this wanting for another Robin too in Damian's mind had meant that Drake was not adequate for the job. "Combat is my forte, and of course, detective work. Like any Robin before me." He boasted, if only to change the subject on not allowing himself to be touched. "I would indeed like to look around." He offers, looking up at the two ladies.

Wonder Girl has posed:
"Cars? That's like, easy stuff," Cassie boasts back at Kori, with a big old grin.

But other than that, she doesn't disagree. The blonde is all bruiser, and even she isn't going to pretend at much otherwise. Nor does Cassie offers any argument on Damian's point about his size, in fact, she gives a little nod. "I can see it. Probably good for sneaking and stuff too. Anyway, if you've got the thumbs up to join I'm sure you're up to the challenges and we really could use someone good at investigation, like Starfire said. I'm OK with people but, I dunno, not really at being sneaky or tricky or anything like that, and I figure sometimes we'll kind of need it. And SHE," and the blonde grins over at her more exotic alien counterpart, "Kinda sticks out like a sore thumb if we go asking around for witnesses or leads or whatever."

It seems that a tour is settled on, and though she glances at the door, a shrug is given and her backpack shouldered. Whatever she was off to, Titan business might be a little more important, and she seems excited just to have someone new around. "So do you work with Batman a lot, like the other, er, Robins? I know how that goes, as Wonder Girl I was Diana's sidekick until she decided I needed to go out and do my own thing a bit." Sidekick bonding? "I kinda miss it." Ok, probably a *slightly* different relationship.

Starfire has posed:
Observing the Robin as he says what he does, Star withdraws her hands, starting to float again towards the elevator, soon after Cassie - smiling ever wider as Cassie says what she does. At least, until the sore thumb part. Starfire pauses a moment, looking thoughtful as she gazes down to her own thumb.

She flexes it a few times, her eyes widening as her smile dies on her features to a look of thought.

"Do I stick out like a sore thumb, because I am causing the pain, and turn brown when I bruise? Or... um..." she asks in the most uncertain voice in the universe, her brow furrowed as she looks towards Cassie again.

Kori didn't typically take the elevator. And in her bid to get higher, she was floating up the hole in the tower near the elevator, made for flyers. But she pauses, glancing back down to Robin and the others. "Oh!" Zooming back down, she gives both a wide grin, and pushes the elevator button.

"So! The Titans were formed soon after the Justice League was! A group - the Citizens for a Brighter Tomorrow - made up of businesses, private citizens, and otherwise, poured money into building this tower and giving us food and things. So this is a place to learn, and grow - and help protect the city around us, yes?" A beat.

"And we sometimes have people coming in, much like you just saw - who need much help that only we can provide," Starfire says, before lowering her voice to a whisper. "Although a lot of times they want silly or wrong things, so you must be careful."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian gives a confident nod to Cassie. "My father, we patrol Gotham often. And so do I. If I am not grounded." It happened more times than he'd care to mention. "Stealth, is my usual choice, but I can more than hold my own in a fight." The sword on his back was not just for show. Though the comment on Starfire's lack of...blending in made Damian smile, well, as much as he could.

He took out a grapnel to follow Starfire, but placed it back in his belt once they all decided to take the elevator. "Like asking to help find their car keys?" That had happened once with an old lady. He found them for her, if only because she had them dangling out of her own sweater pocket.

Wonder Girl has posed:
"Oh, no Kori, not- you're great, and I don't think you hurt anyone." Cassie immediately flounders a bit, and rushes to try and explain. "Uh the expression just kinda means you stand out from the crowd? Kinda like how if you'd hit your thumb with a hammer it'd be all red and swollen and stick out." Having put her phone away, she holds up her hand and wiggles her thumb in some kind of demonstration. "It's just because most humans have never even heard of Tamaran, let alone seen its wonderful, beautiful Princess! So you're going to draw a lot of attention anywhere. And sometimes that's cool but it can make it hard, you know, to focus on the problem." She pauses a moment, and then offers, "Just like, if I pick up something heavy in front of a crowd, then try... I dunno, to talk to them about the mysterious figure who just slipped away, but they're all distracted and ignore the questions and just fawn at me and stuff."

She gets into the elevator when it arrives, continuing to chat. "Sometimes you want to be subtle instead. And that's definitely not us, girlfriend." Then Damian gets a thumbsup, with the young woman turning her curious attention on him as they ride up, even leaning to peer at his sword curiously. "That must be pretty cool, I mean I read about Batman's stuff in the papers sometimes. I dunno if he's quite as awesome as Diana but..." Ahem! "Still! But it's good to be on a team, where you can tackle things bigger than just helping out a single hero."

Starfire has posed:
Upon spying the grapple, Starfire brightens more. "What is that device?" she asks of the grapple, making a gesture to it as Damian puts it away. "Were you going to fly up with me with it?" she asks. The elevator dings behind them. "Well, yes. Or... 'can you beat up my sister', or... 'I need to impress this girl can you show up and say 'hello you are my best friend, Mikey!' Or... 'I would like to buy you dinner sometime'." A handful of moments more, and Star looks to Cassie - then Damian, for guidance. "Do you think we should hire a secretary or something to screen all of the requests?" A beat. "That may make things easier, but I would be most afraid of missing things."

Kori would have to hit her thumb VERY HARD with a hammer to make it swell. So the whole thing was lost on her. But Star does what she usually does in these situations where they try to explain and it still isn't making sense - she smiles her prettiest smile, and nods her head.

"Yes, and there are very few humans that know all of the stress and drama that goes into being a superhero - so you will have the most wonderful friends, and most terrific support here." A beat.

"And you can talk to me about anything, anytime - I promise this right now," says Starfire, putting her finger on her nose in a gesture of solidarity.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"That's what we use to get places. Since we can't fly." He offers, before shrugging off the notion of a secretary. "Oracle says I should focus on helping people, rather than defeating crime." He wasn't too fond of that theory, no matter how correct.

Robin felt Cassie lean towards his katana, and unsheathed it, the metal whining slightly as he did. He offered it to Cassie for inspection, it was one of the last pieces he had that tied himself to the League of Assassins. He was also pretty sure that almost all of the Bat Family hated him carrying it. "Wonder Woman, from what I've seen, she is an exceptional warrior." Probably one of the highest compliments Damian could give someone he's never actually met.

Damian blinks as Starfire pledges to be a sounding board, unsure of how to react to that. "Is that a Tamaranian 'pinkie promise'?" Another gesture that Barbara had shown Damian, and he still thought was a bit silly.

Wonder Girl has posed:
"Oh, for all of that stuff, it might be a good idea," Cassie considers, as Starfire lists the somewhat predictable but still totally true and amusing list of possible nonsense requests they might be bombarded with on a daily basis. "Maybe someone with some experience in our... well, business, world, whatever you want to call it. I don't mind hunting down a few requests that might be a little more minor, but having to listen to every single one could end us swamping us, and leaving people who do need help without it."

She will accept the offered blade to take a look, curious, although in a way that is equal parts 'experienced warrior' and 'OMG is that a real ninja sword?!' Her experience with that sort of thing is relatively new, compared to Damian's (albeit brief) life-long familiarity. Though she will echo Starfire, to add, "Yeah, once you're on the team, don't hesitate to come to any of us with problems. Teamwork is definitely the most important thing, helping and supporting each other." With that, she's ready to continue the tour, adding a further dose of peppy cheer to Starfire's already abundant supply. They do make a nice welcoming committee!
