Date of Scene: 18 August 2017
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Domino, Cable

Domino has posed:
Merida, a city on the Yucatan Peninsula, bordering the Caribbean. It's the kind of place people visit when they want to enjoy the surf and sand without all the tourist trappings of Cancun. It's easy enough for someone to disappear into the city life, even if they happen to look nothing like the local populace.

It's the last known location of a one Neena Thurman, known as Domino, after the recent Mutant-Military action in one of the old temple sites in the nearby jungle. The mutant slaving ring was broken up, but not without considerable loss of life to the opposite side. Military records and videos indicate her presence at the altercation, but no arrest warrants or actions against her were made.

So she sits at a table pavilion outside the Grande Region Hotel, under the shade of a palm, overlooking the ocean and beach walking distance away. Despite the wide brim sun hat, glasses and pale pink sundress, she stands out. It's like it's impossible for her to get a tan.

Cable has posed:
The crunch of sand underfoot is likely the only warning Domino's going to get as she's approached from the Hotel. The steps are calm and measured, lacking any rush, or any attempt at concealment. As the man approaches -- for the low, grunting sigh is a dead giveaway -- there's a faintly metallic ring to the shifting of his arms at his sides, and a peculiar sense of weight to every other footfall.

"Wasn't expecting to find you all the way out here," he greets, his gruff voice giving away his identity immediately as Cable settles into a chair at the same table. Unlike Neena, he stands out for lack of attempt at blending in. Characteristically, he's decked out in a dark, tight-fitting t-shirt with a tan, tactical shemagh wrapped loosely around his neck and similarly colored cargo pants.

Also, there's the solid metal left arm and faintly glowing eye.

"Been awhile, Neena. How've you been?"

Domino has posed:
Shock is the first thing on her face.

"/Nate/?" she asks, questioning reality as much as anything else. She stands up from her chair, speechless for a good few moments, looking at him. Surface thoughts are conflicted emotions to say the -least-.

And then she finally finds the words. "Where the -hell- have you been?"

Cable has posed:
Neena's reaction draws the faintest of muffled, grunting chuckles from Nathan as he waves her to retake her seat, a low-level psychic sweep casually brushing nearby attention onwards to something -- anything -- else.

"It's me," he assures her, reaching out telepathically to share brief flashes of private memories only the two of them would possess before he withdraws from her. "Where?" He looks around, then offers a shrug with one shoulder, "Hereabouts for a time. Mostly a bit further north. Better question is when: A couple centuries into the future, then briefly a handful in the past."

Domino has posed:
Domino has a seat. She's aware of some of Cable's past, but not all of it. Not everything has been shared between the two of them, even if much of everything else has. "Geezus, Nate, it's been three years," she says, rubbing her forehead. "I thought you were dead. Everyone else is."
