Cast of Characters: Green Arrow, Lady Shiva

Green Arrow has posed:
"You have no honor!" The words echo through the warehouse loudly as the two Asian men roar at each other. The two figures surrounded by a myriad more of them as the Yakuza boss, Fuuma Akira slams his fist down upon the hard wood table between them. His men visibly flinch, shifting their stances and unbuttoning their jackets just in case they need to make a quick grab for their firearms.
But then Lao Tse of the Yingtze Tong smirks, remaining in his seat as he leans back, looking at the Japanese mobster over the cradle of his interlaced fingers, shaking his head sadly. "And you misspeak yourself to imagine we have had a hand in taking these lives of your men."
Akira growls audibly, only to have his anger cut off by a hand held out. "Not to say I would not have killed them, Akira-san. But in this case I had neither the means nor the opportunity."
"Again you lie!" Akira roars, but he sits back down at the meeting table. "They all bore the marks of the crane that your hired killer trades on. Each of their deaths like calling cards."
This, causes Lao to frown. "Are you certain of this? For someone to duplicate that mark... it is nigh unto impossible."
Inside the warehouse the meeting continues, the bosses speaking, their two dozen guards all standing on edge while their leaders speak. It is a horrible situation, and a powder keg. One likely to go off and take a chunk of the city with it...
Which is why Green Arrow is there, resting a boot on the edge of the cement blocks that line the rooftop he's chosen from which to observe. A small pair of binocs in his hands, affixed with a parabolic antenna with which to draw their words to the headphones in his ears.

Lady Shiva has posed:
"Impossible? Hardly," comes a smooth woman's voice through Green Arrow's headphones. "Their arrogance knows no bounds."
There is no sign of the person speaking. Through the glasses, everyone seems to be the same as they were with the tempers running high and things about to light off at any moment. All the men are in the same places with their jackets open, ready for action.
Then one of the men in the back is gone. One moment he was there, the next he is lost as a shadow seems to claim him. There is no sound, nothing for his audio to pick up.
The argument continues with the two men comparing notes, starting to realize there is something odd with their situation. The proof seems there for Akira. But Lao is earnest in his confusion. So who is telling the truth?
Another man disappears and Ollie may catch the glimpse of a arm covered in a black sleeve. It's form fitting, like a bodysuit as opposed to a jacket.
The voice comes through his headphones a few moments later. "I could pick them off one by one. Until only the two at the table remain. The lack of challenge is pitiful."

Green Arrow has posed:
"What the?" Green Arrow's voice lifts as he lowers the binocs in one hand, lifting his head from the surveillance device as if his naked eyes might have better luck. But then he shakes his head and murmurs to himself, "Who the heck is she talking to?"
But his gaze upon that old textile mill grants him no insight nor answers. Though something about that voice... and the tone of that voice. It's familiar. He grimaces and draws the bow from the small of his back, the weapon hissing faintly as it snaps open to its full size, an arrow being drawn from his hip quiver and being nocked cleanly. Aim is taken, a moment, then his arm draws back and he releases the shot. The grapple line flies true, imbedding in the cement wall of the lower building and giving him a good zip line. Once that's set he straddles the line with his bow and then uses that to hold him up as he /whirrrrs/ on across, closing the distance smoothly and silently.
He lands light in a crouch and then turns his head to the side, listening.
Inside that mill, the two men haven't noticed their dwindling cadre. They continue to rail against each other, slipping in and out of Cantonese and Japanese at points.

Lady Shiva has posed:
A handful more have disappeared in the time it took him to fire and zip across to the rooftop. The argument is going on and the men are paying more attention to the duo, thus having lost track of their allies.
A latched entrance to the roof nearby opens, the metal lifting in his direction so that the Green Arrow can't see who is on the other side. A moment later it is lowered back into place, silent thanks to the oil that had been applied to the hinges earlier in the evening. A figure is crouched there. A woman with black hair falling straight below her shoulders, adorned in a simple black bodysuit with a red sash at the waist. Her feet are covered in slippers. She stands slowly, keeping her hands visible at her sides but seeimgly unconcerned that he might be upset at her arrival.
"I thought you were going to wait over there all night," she murmurs.

Green Arrow has posed:
"Shiva," Green Arrow frowns as he gains his feet fully, looking the woman over even as he holds his bow in hand easily. No, outwardly there's no sign of antagonism, nor really even of tension. But between them it can almost be felt. It's maybe... ten feet distance between them, twelve. Just enough in the danger zone that she could possibly cover that distance before he brought his bow up, nocked, and fired. He's incredibly fast, but then again so is she. It'd be hard to tell who would land the first... and probably last blow should it come to such between them.
But as quickly as that the tension passes as he looks downwards, then back up to her. "You've been killing, Akira's men." He says, matter of factly, perhaps having deduced it when he recognized her voice.
Of course, inside the mill, a body has been found as one of the men shrieks. He calls out inside and then he looks at her, "What's your beef with these guys?" He asks, not arguing for them, far from it... for they are rather evil men. But with Shiva, one has to learn the facts lest they come back to bite them in the ass.

Lady Shiva has posed:
At the sounds from below, Shiva smiles. It's not a pleasant expression despite the calm aura around her as she stands so close to him. "They toy with one another as though either is better." There is a sound very like a snort from her as she glances toward the roof beneath her feet, mentally focused on the men she cannot see. "Neither is brave enough to make a move, afraid they will not survive the encounter." She flicks her dark brown eyes back up to Green Arrow. "Games being played by children. Particularly since Lao is running a slavery ring, bringing refugees in with promises of a better life then using them as labor for his various exploits. I tire of him and is boisterous ways. So it is time they acted as men. No more games. I simply put the pieces into play."
She raises her shoulders slightly and lets them drop, shrugging at the sounds from below. "Now they will kill each other. It is for the best." Simple. Clean. It's one of her nicer moments, in her mind. "None will make it out of the building. Perhaps you should leave if that will be an issue between us."
Her tone never changes, remaining conversational and soft. It doesn't change the threat into something pleasant.

Green Arrow has posed:
The archer's eyes slip downwards and he rolls a shoulder through its range of motion, his eyes narrow as he looks back up at her and says, "They're not my favorite people, no. But if this goes down, I'd consider it a personal favor if you let the cops do their thing and maybe not break all their necks."
He shifts his weight to his other foot, and her senses are so keen she can hear the faint creak of leather. "But am I going to go to bat for these guys after what they've done in old town?" Oliver shakes his head as he looks back up at her, gaze narrowing.
"I mean," His lip twitches slightly, "We could take this time to throw down for the heck of it. But I figure we both got better things to do."

Lady Shiva has posed:
"A personal favor." The words are spoken, tested, tried out to see if they hold appeal to her. Below, the noises begin to rise as they men search for the fallen while the two heads are about to take that final step.
Hell's going to break loose. The devil that wrought it stands before him, relaxed as she considers the words. "You would strike a deal with me for the likes of those below? To owe me a favor?"
If she allows the police to deal with the stranglers, once the two clans turn upon one another. It's a disappointing thought. She had wanted to do a bit more physical violence tonight but the temptation to have the vigilante owe her is intriguing. Particularly this vigilante with his ties to the Canary. Something she could use to her advantage. Or perhaps never even think of again once this night is over. It can go either way with her.
The first shot rings out below and her smile reappears. "We have a bargain, archer. If they exit, I will stop them if the police are unable to do so. But they will be taken into custody instead of me eliminating them."

Green Arrow has posed:
She can almost see the weight of the internal, 'aww man' in the irisless eyes of that green mask. But he looks down and rubs the back of his neck. Gang violence is one thing. But the Iron Monkey slaughtering an entire crew right when things are staggeringly combustible. Could serve to unite some of the teams, to make this even more of a blood bath as other crews are brought in all in the effort to take care of Shiva... and ending with the blood bath she most likely wants.
His lips twist into a scowl, but then he looks up at her, "Alright. Cops are on their way. Gotta minimize their damage. I'll go inside, feel free to..." He lifts a green-gloved hand and waves it at her, "To do whatever it is you do when you're not killing people."
That said he draws an arrow from his bow and rushes towards the door that leads down the stairwell into the place. He's gotta be quick if he's going to stop the mess turning entirely too lethal...
Not that everyone there would mind.
