Cast of Characters: 142, Jessica Jones, 222, 185

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
True to his word to Lorien the previous nightn Chat Noir works to track down the spider. He moves over the rooftops with a small vlack backpack on his back. The hero in a black cat suit pauses on the edge of one rooftop. He glances about before leaping down to ground level near the mouth of an alley. His tail flicks in annoyance behind him, ears laying flat before flickin gonw again to swivel about foe noise.

Where oh where has that little spider gone?

Jessica Jones has posed:

Unassuming and ordinary, Jessica Jones makes her way across Brooklyn. Muttering to herself about something or other -- and swearing quite profoundly as she does so -- she discreetly takes pictures of an apartment complex with her trusty camera -- what could it be? Why, a man and a woman having an affair, of course. The trusty private investigator fumbles around with her snaps, until someone -- no, /something/, catches her eye -- a superhero in a black spandex suit upon the rooftop.

"Just my luck," she groans, "one of them."

Till (222) has posed:
What is a common everyday kid doing on the roof of a building? Who knows. But that's exactly what's going on. There's a small kid with light brown hair, dressed in a beat-up t-shirt, faded jeans that look like they've seen better days, and sneakers that... well, it all looks beat-up. He's got a light green jacket on and has his hands in his pocket.

He's standing at the edge of a roof. But he's not looking down, like one tends to do when contemplating jumping. He's looking UP, with a thoughtful look on his face. He doesn't seem to have noticed anyone else nearby yet.

Jessica Jones has posed:

"Fuck," Jessica gasps, as she sees a kid at the edge of the building. The fact that he looks up only makes him crazier to her -- but she can understand and sympathise with him, herself having contemplating suicide under the worst of circumstances. "Hey!"

Biting her lip, she propels herself up into the air, toward the kid. "Hey, I know things might be scary right now, but... you okay?"

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Chat Noir walks down the alley, looking and seeing nothing. His chin inclines as he looks up and then spots the boy. Oh no. Just as Jess leaps up so does Chat. Claws dig into the wall once before he gets enough traction to get to a fire escape and then another two leaps and he's up on the edge of the rooftop across the alley, facing Till.

Chat's aboit to speak but then therexs a Jess and he blinks. Welln ok. if shexs seeking to talk the noy down...

"Yeah. Are you okay? Beclaws things cant bw so badn can they?" please dont tlet this boy be sad enough to summon an akuma.

Till (222) has posed:
"Aah!" Fortunately Jessica startles the kid BACKWARDS, back ONTO the building. But the kid does fall back, surprised to see her in front of him. Though once the shock is done with, he blinks. "...Huh?" And then there's a Chat! The boy blinks again, and shifts to sit tailor style. He looks confused.

"I was looking up at the sky, that's all," he notes, looking between the two in surprise, and some confusion. "It's hard to see anything because it's so bright. But I was trying to see if I could see anything."

Jessica Jones has posed:

Jessica purses her lips. "Look -- don't you kids have better places to watch the stars rather than the edge of a roof? An observatory, maybe?" Groaning at Chat, she crosses her arms to make herself clear. "I suppose I should've known. Super-stuff. I knew I should've stayed away, and focused on the ordinary people that actually need help. Look, I'm like you, but I don't need to flaunt it, or wear some stupid mask. And to be honest, kid, I'd advise you to reach the drinking age before you try and save people's lives."

Lorien (185) has posed:
"You aren't likely to see many stars. There's too much light, even at night."

It's a male baritone, coming from somewhere deeper in the depths of the alley. Where the light is least present, a pair of golden eyes are glowing from a human-like shape.

The eyes turn upwards. "Oh you're early, Chat Noir. I'd just finished removing the old web, I hadn't had time to spin a new one for you. But it's good to see you. Looks like we have company, too."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Seeing thw boy get shocked off thw edge, Chat breathes a sigh of relief just before that cheshire gein takes over.
"In my defense, I"m the purrfect drinking age," Chat retorts to Jessica. A moment and his head tilts as he glances over hisnshoukder at thebspider.

"Didnt know how long it would take to find youn Lorien. But I have a thing for you and somw news," he says before looking bakc to the others.

"Allo. Im Chat Noir. It is nice to meet you. I hooe everyone if feline better meow?"

Till (222) has posed:
The seated boy looks towards the source, upon hearing the new voice. "Yeah, I noticed." He frowns; it's not QUITE a pout, but it's close. But then... webs? He blinks, but doesn't ask. It sounds like the meeting between Chat and the owner of that voice was planned, so he doesn't want to make too big a nuisance of himself.

And then Chat starts punning. The boy winces. "Ow." he'd almost rather Chat be like the malkin; trying to eat him might be preferrable. But he doesn't comment. He just offers, "I'm called Trevor Blomgren." It's not an outright lie, he DOES call himself that when he's in this form.

Jessica Jones has posed:

Jessica Jones simply sighs. "Screw this, I'm out. Have fun with your super-gathering, maybe I'll come someday if my sister can force me into a stripper outfit." Her voice is laced with sarcasm as she flies into the night.

Lorien (185) has posed:
Coming out of the shadows is a reasonably tall man of unusual skin and hair color. He's even odder with those giant spider legs tucked up against his back.

"I am Lorien," he explains. "Please, do not be alarmed. I know I look unsettling, but I cannot control my appearance. I assure you, I do not feed upon sentient beings." Well, that's uh... reassuring.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
As Trevor says ow, Chat tilts his head. He didn't see anything that hurt the boy. Especially since the bad cat puns weren't commented on. Chat has no sense of remorse about such things. Instead, the young man in the leather cat suit steps lightly from the ledge only to prop his hip against it, leaning without a care in the world. Green eyes, slitted like a cat's track over to Jessica as she retorts and flies away. One black cat ear lays back, the other perks forward.

"Well, that was uncalled fur," comments the cat while Lorien steps up by his side. Turning his attention away from Jessica's departure, Chat smiles warmly at the spider man, straightening from the ledge to shrug out of the black backpack.

"My contact has enlisted help. You're not alone. A safe place that you can use as a more permanent home is being searched for your purrusal. Until then, here's some clothing, not like you can make. I don't know if maybe you could use it to walk about during the day and not be so conspicuous? If so, I can arrange fur you and my contact to meet up, see about helping you gather moar infurrmation," Chat says, injecting the puns as easily as breathing, all while he holds out the black back pack for Lorien to collect.

Till (222) has posed:
Surprisingly Trevor... doesn't seem to be all that disturbed at Lorien's appearance. There's a look at those legs, yes, and a curious tilt of his head. But he nods with the assurance, accepting it at face value. "Okay, that's good," he says, with a smile. "Good to meet you!"

Though he goes quiet after that, listening to Chat talk to Lorien about a 'contact', and 'enlisted help'. And oh man the cat puns. But still he stays quiet, because there's important information inamongst all those puns.

Lorien (185) has posed:
"That would be great," Lorien says to Chat. "Oh, and I made that scarf, as promised." He reaches into the pocket of his sleeveless long coat, and pulls out a perfectly folded silk scarf, handing it to Chat. On closer inspection, it has a faint shimmering silver gleam; inside the threads used are a silvery inner core, giving the fabric a glistening texture - and greater tensile strength.

Lorien studies Till. "You have a different quality to you. I can't quite put my finger on it, but your scent is a little different." He shrugs slightly. "Then again, what do I know about the rest of the outside world anyways? I didn't see that many humans to begin with."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Making the exchange, Chat carefully takes the fabric, running it through his gloves fingers without letting claws snag it.

"This is lovely. I wish I could wear it. But I'm afurraid I might get distracted, start playing with it. I'll give this to my contact, so you will know it is him," Chat promises, carefully folding the fabric to tuck into his belt.

The back pack he gave to Lorien is crisp, brand new, and not at all cheap. There are more than just one changes of clothes. One set is a large shirt and sweat pants. The rest are much closer in size to Lorien, and take into account that there would need to be extra room for spider legs. And there's a leather jacket. It's all rolled carefully, by someone with plenty of experience needing to travel light with as many clothes as possible in as small a bag as possible. And the clothes, when Lorien gets to a place to study them, are all brand new, though lack tags, and were picked by someone who had an eye for size, fit, and color. Nothing's goign to clash horribly with skin or hair tone.

Lorien (185) has posed:
Lorien looks at the clothing. "You even made room for my legs... Thank you. I don't know what to say. I... the only person who ever gave clothes to me was Dr. Lang." His tone quiets, somber, thinking about her. She was as good as a parent to him - and in biological fact, /was/ his parent.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Chat Noir watches Lorien take the clothing, study them, and notice the small details of thought that he had taken when he went shopping earlier that after noon. Something in Adrien calms. He was right. Lorien is just as lonely... more lonely in a way... than he's ever been since his mother disappeared. Watching, green eyes growing soft, Adrien recalls the first present he ever got that wasn't from his mother... or his father before...

Chat Noir lowers his gae.

"You're welcome," the cat says softly. Gone is the mischevious and the bold brash carefree almost thoughtless tone. It's been replaced with the gentle notes of fellow feeling.

It lasts a whole ten seconds.

Call Guiness. It's a new record!

"So! When would be the purrfect time and place to met, mmm? This cat's curious!" Chat Noir says, leaning forward toward Lorien with a grin.

Lorien (185) has posed:
"Well... any time, really. It's not as if I have a job I have to rise early in the morning for," Lorien jests. Perhaps it's only social mimicking, or maybe it's Chat's infectious good humor, but he pulls out of his minor gloom and manages to joke back.

Till (222) has posed:
Eventually 'Trevor' decided this was private business, and therefore no business of his. So while Chat and Lorien spoke, the brown-haired boy began to wander off. He headed for the fire escape of the building, and climbed down just far enough to be out of sight. Then he changed again, into his smaller form, and then took to the air.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
It's a good thing too, Lorien joking back. Because it signals to Chat that Lorien won't be used by Papillon the Hawk Moth any time soon. The cat glances at Till as the boy retreats away, ear twitching faintly as he listens to the boy move away. But his eyes stay on Lorien.

"I'll let him know that," is promised, grin still visible.
