Cast of Characters: Power Boy, Supergirl

Power Boy has posed:
A month. She's had a month. He made no requirements on her. He asked nothing from her other than to meet him. Just to meet him in a month, when things were a bit more settled.
To the hour, there is no sign of him, unless one counts a beautifully groomed little well-kept pug puppy sitting on a park bench. The little pooch has a spiked leather collar around his neck, to butch him up a bit. he also has a big ribbon in the same golden yellow as the piping on her uniform.
It's Kirby. Washed. Cleaned. Well fed. Groomed. Sitting on a park bench. Waiting patiently for someone or something.

Supergirl has posed:
True to her word, Supergirl is back at the construction sight one month after her first meeting with Power Boy. The Maid of Might is pacing on the ground. Some renovations already underway so the space is already looking better. She's giving herself the old pep talk. "Be cool, Kara. He's from a different world, just learn about him and don't try wrestle." She coaches herself. She almost misses the pug entirely. She turns as she paces and catches the yellow, looking down a ways at the bench. Walking over her cape swishes and skirt flits, blond locks catch the breeze and she comes up to Kirby. She leans over and studies the puppy. "Yup. Same dog. Now where is your master?" She wonders and looks about with those unearthly blue eyes.

Power Boy has posed:
The little dog gets up and tries to lick her. It remembers her or something. Little yappy barks and heavy breathing. It is a pug, after all. Dangling from the collar is a little silver bone-shaped tag that reads 'Kirby'. Another licensing tag shows that Kirby has had all his shots and is legal in Metropolis. There is a flush and the sound of water running over in a nearby public restroom. The puppy gives a pathetic whine at that. Apparently, that is where Power Boy is.

Supergirl has posed:
Smiling, Kara sits and plays with the puppy. She wiggles her fingers carefully, letting him teeth on them-it doesn't do her any harm. Her eyes crinkle, amused at the little pug. "You at least look healthy boy, that's good." She remarks and lets the pup play tug of war with her finger.

Power Boy has posed:
KIrby is content to gnaws on her and tease her hands. The door creaks, and still drying his hands off on his pants, Power Boy steps out.
He stares for a moment. "I knew it!" he announces. "You liked the dog better!" His smiles comes far more easily to his face now. His movements are less military precision, and more easy strides. He walks over towards her. "You look good. You been safe and happy/"

Supergirl has posed:
"There isn't a girl alive that doesn't like puppies better than boys." Kara points out evenly and looks up at him. "Safe enough. It's more of the usual bad guys with bullets and the odd inventive weapon." She remarks and straightens. "Actually, I met this girl from Mars and we have a lot on common so we went for dumplings recently, it was pretty cool." She studies him. "You look...happy, more comfortable here."

Power Boy has posed:
"I perceive time much as I imagine you do." Power Boy answers in an even tone. He is still smiling. "So, I spent a lot of time working on developing patience with Kirby, and training him. He is very smart for a dumb animal, as one fellow called him." he walks on over towards her. "But, I read thousands of books. I am still internalizing their teachings and ideas. I tried to learn as much about my new home as I could."

Supergirl has posed:
"Been there. The library is your friend. It's a lot to catch up on, and books don't prepare you for people on the street." Kara remarks and scoots over so he and Kirby have some space to sit together. "He is still young. But yes, you could teach him some simple commands and not much else-he's just a pug." She nods and clasps her hands on her legs.

Power Boy has posed:
"Just sit, stay, and we are working on sing." The pug sort of dances in his spot. He's happy. Power Boy looks at her. "You look great." he says, simply, and he means it. His foot steps are quiet as he moves to sit down Kirby hops into his lap, and bathes his face in kisses. Power Boy rubs the pug's head with clear adoration. "I sort of thought you would not be here." The other alien admits.

Supergirl has posed:
"Why not? We agreed to meet in a month? It's been a month, here I am." Kara nods and watches them both. "It's been a busy month. But-I dunno." Kara looks away and lets out a breath. "I guess I didn't want you to be alone and not have a friend here. It's hard to feel like there's no one like you on the planet-in a sort of literal sense. There's Power Girl-she's-she's a clone of me, but it's not the same. She doesn't remember..." Kara looks at Power Boy and flushes. "Sorry. Feeling deep today apparently."
