Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Rocket Raccoon, Wonder Woman

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
The Amazons are surely a mystery to most on Earth. Sure, they're known now. At least somewhat. There are a handful of them in the public eye, Diana being the foremost of those. However, who really knows anything about them?

It seems that those who do keep their mouths shut if only from consideration to the Amazons. If not fear of having said mouths closed by the Princess or her peers.

Rocket? Well. He's heard things through black market channels. heard about wonderful tech. Amazing trinkets. And it was simply too much to resist. he'd studied the embassy, learned the comings and goings of most staff. And that there were regular trips made back to Themyscira. It wasn't easy, but he managed to secure himself passage as a stow away on one of those trips. Was it a good idea? no. But trying to invent the hot pocket wasn't exactly embraced until it was shipped. It was a game changer for the hand held meal industry. game. changer. Who could say what he might steal -- discover that would be such a break through. he'd know it when he saw it!

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana wasn't on the same transport as the stow away raccoon, but she was on the island when he arrived. It was an established/arranged gathering of foreign dignitaries who were given the chance to come to the island paradise and stay in the small village setup on the beach specifically for visitors while tours were arranged and given by the Amazon guard throughout the two day vacation here.

Diana was present to represent her people and be a friendly face to those who were here on her beloved home island. She was on the beach right now, in that village where about one hundred people were. There was to be a feast/bonfire on the beach that night, so arrangements were being made and preparations were happening on the beach itself.

Diana walked along one of the old-world-styled Greek roads in the village near the edge of the sandy shore. She was wearing a leather/gold armored top and a flowing white dress down her lower half, her black hair was tied back in a thick braid and she was casually speaking with people here and there as she made her way around the visitor's village.

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
Rocket hated hiding. Not because of what it implied, but because of the stale air. It was always hot and stifling. And he was covered in fur. Fur and clothes. Finally he was able to slink out of the transport and quickly disappeared into the shadows. Scouting around a little, he needed to know where the good stuff was kept. That is when he caught sight of Her. He stared, his furry little jaw slack. Stunned. He had no idea how long he watched her but finally he shock himself out of it and knew just who to follow to discover where the best treasures were kept around this place. He just had to stay out of sight!

Wonder Woman has posed:
The stow-away would have to follow her in the shadows for awhile, he'd have to observe her making her way around the village and talking to others for quite some time. Though it was certainly easier for him to hide than it were for som eothers, but there was also no other raccoons on this island, so should one of the Amazons see him... they'd instantly know he was not meant to be here.

Diana would eventually make her way into a seating area that was currently empty, she'd find a place to settle down on the edge of a stone bench and she'd watch the waves colliding with the beach in the not-so-far distance.

He'd be able to sneak up behind her at this vantage point, if he so desired, since her back was to palm trees and bushes providing plenty of cover.

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
It is said that when you find something of true value, all of the trappings of life, the fool's gold a lifetime was spent in chasing but never finding happiness in will suddenly seem childish and unimportant. That you'll only desire that one. true. thing.

Rocket has that look in his eyes. The oversized raccoon moved quickly along. Oh he was almost caught a few times. Some of those who belonged on this island might have questioned their sight or dismissed him as a play of shadows. Yet he managed to remain undiscovered as he tracked Diana to her solitary vantage point.

There, Rocket crept forward. He was light, yes, but not as light as an earth-born raccoon. He was larger. He carried more weight. Still he made little noise compared to a human. But was his approach silent enough that the daughter of the gods would miss his steps under the tune of the breaking waves beyond?

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana started up a brief conversation with a pair of visitors who were passing by the gazebo-like area that she was seated in, she was wishing them a good day and telling them that she looked forward to seeing them tonight at the festivities. She waved goodbye to the two as they went on a stroll down the beach within the territory that visitors were resctricted to stay within by order of the Queen.

Diana would lean back on the bench again then and she'd release a light exhale before a tickle on her senses caused her to look back behind her and at the treeline where she just 'felt' something back there like one sometimes does, the presence of another.

Diana's pale blue eyes looked about the treeline and then she just exhaled and lowered her eyes back down to her hands where she had a small journal/book that she was reading from, she hadn't heard his footfalls, since they were likely too soft to really register.

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
Rocket was stalking her, yes. But he wasn't exactly... well. what WAS he doing? He. He paused to realize he wasn't entirely certain anymore. He had come here for... loot. High tech gadgets or (hopefully) weapons. But now? Now all he wanted was to meet this woman. A human woman! Sure. He'd met many. He'd known many. Each and all in the biblical sense (heh. heh.) but this woman? She was so far beyond the most attractive woman he'd ever known. How could it be. And why was he so spellbound by her?

They say that letting one's mind wander is dangerous if only because it might not come back....

As Rocket's right foot came down and he transferred weight to it, the dry twig had already snapped and given away his presence before it even registered in that fur covered noggin.

"Aw... crap."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana softly turned a page in her book and she transfered her eyes to the next section of text as she read, unaware of her furry friend stalker... at least up until he snapped that twig and then spoiled it further by 'talking'.

The princess raised her chin straight up at first, then she turned her gaze to the left until she found and spotted the large raccoon with her eyes locked onto his...

"Uh...." Diana Prince was not often speechless, but this was a scenario that seemed to garner a need for it. She then showed a smirk at him. "Hello?" She asked him, her dark eyebrows rising up above her blue eyes, staring openly at him now with disbelief at what she'd just heard and was now seeing...?

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
Rocket was... starring into her eyes. He just kind of went.. slack. Jawed. Gaze. Brained. Everything. he still stood. But he was entranced. "... beautiful.... crap." His brain didn't know which way to go so it went everywhere at once. Finally his brain got ahold of his tongue and he shook his head to clear it.

"...crap." He somehow seemed to have an accent almost like he was from Italian village in NYC. Crazy, that, huh?

"Uh. Yeah. Right. Hi." He reached up to rub the back of his head. Standing in the undergrowth like a moron.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana didn't seem threatened by this creature, in fact, if she'd been a little girl when he'd wandered out of the bushes on her private island here, she probably would've been elated with joy to see the strange talking creature... Adult Diana? She was fairly amused as well.

"Hi to you." She said to him then, dipping her chin low a little and keeping that curious expression on her face. She looked side to side and then back upon him.

"I am guessing that you are a stow away aboard the yacht that came to port here?" She asked him then, knowing full well that he was not on the guest list.

Diana would close her leather book and then stand up from the bench and come around the large wooden support beam holding the roof up above the floor. Diana's left hand went to the beam and she leaned gently against it while facing him now, her book held in her other hand against her hip with the white skirt gently blowing in the beach breezes.

"You may have gotten yourself into a lot of trouble... sir." she said softly to him then.

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
Rocket watches her move. Brain. Kicking in. React you idiot! Do something other than get caught!

He looks at her an grins, "Hey there good lookin'..." his voice dropping an octave to that deeper pitch guys think girls respond better too. He... casually... saunters toward the Amazon. "Trouble? me? Nah. I'm not any trouble at all. I'm just part of the scenery. I've lived here /forever/.. I'm just very good at hiding. (yeah. hiding.)" he attempts to proclaim. "But that's not the important question. Oh no..." He slows to stand before her, his four foot tall frame getting quite a luscious view upward at her stunning figure and face."No. The /real/ question of importance is: How on this green earth have I never, ever seen you before? A woman as beautiful as you? I'd have known it. You're stunning. Beyond any other woman. Ever" he declares brashly. And not a little suavely.

It WAS suave .... wasn't it?

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would listen to this response from the raccoon man that was soumewhere around two whole feet shorter than she was and she'd respond to it by just folding her arms together over her stomach and staring down at him with a bit more of an evenly expressed face.

"Charming too." She said to him in her thick Greek accent. "If you have been here this whole time, on this secluded island... Then..." She looked up at the pathway that weaved up the cliffcs to the north.

"Where does that pathway lead?" She asked him. It was a long and winding pathway that lead up to the edge of a tall cliff where a guard lookout post was erected for Amazons to watch the seas and all of the beach on this side of the island.

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
"I haven't the slightest idea where that path leads. I wouldn't lie to you about that. I'm from the /other/ side of the island.. over there? Well over there we have the most amazing little bungalows. Nice and private. Why don't we head that way instead and we could spend some time getting to know each other better. It would be a crime to fail to properly... thoroughly... acquainted." He offers a charming grin. For a little furry critter he does have some nice moves. Right? Not that a goddess would fall for them. But maybe?

He steps forward, "But first? I've completely forgotten my manners." He bows deeply. "Hello, beautiful creature, beauty beyond compare. I... am Rocket. Rocket Raccoon." He rises up. "And... may I know the name of the most stunning goddess on this pile of shi... er... Rock and water humans call Earth?" He offers a winning smile as if trying to gloss over that insult. maybe she won't notice it.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana, of course, didn't buy a word of what he was saying because every species of animal on this island was catelogued and known of by the Amazons, the caretakers of the enchanted forest were a group of isolated Dryads and they-too know all that roamed their woods. Raccoons weren't on the list.

Diana would just continue to stand there in front of him as he said these things with her arms folded over her leather corset encased stomach.

"Rocket. Raccoon." She told him, sighing softly. "You are going to have to be joining the rest of the guests until the ship leaves port tomorrow evening, which you will be aboard it headed back to the main land."

She paused then. "And I am Diana Prince, Princess to Queen Hippolyta, ruler of this... particular... rock and water spot on this lovely planet." She said down to him, seemingly unamused.

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
Rocket smiles winningly. "And what a stunning ball of rock and water it is! I was just saying to myself, 'Rocket' I said. 'Of all the blue and green balls of rock and water in the universe? This has to be the /nicest/ of them. The most perfect....' " he was slowly sidling towards her. Probably around arm's reach away now. Those feet moved with amazingly deceptive skill. It was almost like he was just there and had never been standing farther away. "...most stunning. Amazing...eyes,,, '" he winced and silently chastised himself, " 'planet. Amazing -planet- that I have ever seen.' And believe me. I have seen a /lot/ of planets that are just dried up ugly brown piles of rock. This one? This one is special. I could tell when I first set foot on it...!"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana didn't seem threatened or have any desire to step away from the Raccoon as he grew closer to her, but she did remain where she was with her sandals in the sand at the base of the gazebo she was beside. She kept a close eye on him as he walked about though.

"There are a lot of ways to visit other worlds on the other side of this island?" She asked him then. Skeptical of course. "I guess I did not explore as well as I had thought I had when I spent the first eight hundred years of my life here."

A faint smirk now showed to the Raccoon and she shook her head gently down at him.

"Be honest with me, Rocket Raccoon and you and I will get along much much nicer during your very short stay here."

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
Rocket silently chastises himself again. "aw... cr..." he sighs. "okay. okay! you're right! you're right, princess. Of course you're right. I'm not from here. It's true. I'm an alien visitor to your planet. And I assure you: I Come In Peace!" he says all puffed up. Can he even tell the truth to himself? "But... if I'm honest... there is no _way_ that you are 800 years old! That'd be some -serious- Yoda shi.... stuff goin' on!"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would unfold her arms and place her hands upon her hips where her white dress disappeared into her dark brown leather corset. "You are questioning my age in relation to my physical appearance?" She asked him then. "When you are a... talking raccoon... from space?"

Diana would smirk down at him then and she eyed him a little more inspector-like. "Where is the field generator that is altering your physical form?" She asked him then. "You're using a shape changing device, are you not?" The space aliens Diana was used to were generally a lot larger and... intimidating than this little furry raccoon man.

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
Rocket looks up and admires how that feminine form moves as her shoulders and arms shift. He eases....just a little closer. His soft, bushy tail swishes, then, and... Accidentally moves so as to brush up against the back of the knee closest to him. He doesn't notice it himself.

I'm complimenting your beauty princess!" he protests. "When 800 years old you are, look so good, you will not, mmm?" he mistakenly quotes from Star Wars. "If you're 800, that is amazing because you are stunning!" he then shrugs, "No shape changing devices I promise. I really am this handsome and cut. I know. I know! it's hard to believe. But - trust me - princess. I am /more/ than enough man to take care of you."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diand would notice the tail but she didn't really react to it, she'd listen to his words but they didn't really get a facial reaction from her either. What did happen though was that Diana kneeled down to press her left knee against the sandy ground and then her arm droped over it as she was now on his level, face to face.

"Mister... Raccoon." She said to him then. "I come from here... you have invaded my home unlawfully. You have lied to me openly about it, and now you are suggesting that I need a 'man to take care of me'." She told him then.

"By all rights, I am allowed to pick you up. Walk you out to the ocean and drown you in it. Or... kick you like a furry football and watch you fly away into the deep blue sea."

She released an exhale. "So please, attempt to clean up your conversation with me. I am not someone who wishes to be treated like... however you seem to feel women should be treated."

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
Rocket sees that beautiful face at his level now. He grins. "Princess Diana Prince.." he pauses.. That just doesn't, uh. Oh, never mind! "I am what I am. And I can't change it. Any more than you can change yourself. I don't know what I /was/ or where I'm from. I just know that I escaped a facility that I blew up, burned to the ground then spat upon the ashes of when I left. I was experimented upon.. changed. Yes. I'm a raccoon. Or something like that. Who knows. Who /cares/. I'm Rocket. And I'm better than any dumb old raccoon. But it doesn't mean I don't have desires and wants. needs." He looks at her and shrugs. it's easy to see the cybernetics that augment his form. Some of it probably hurts as much or more than it helps.

He looks at the stunning woman and reaches out his hands. Paws. Digits. whatever. as if to offer them. "I don't know my past. I make it up all the time. it's easier and hurts less than trying to remember. But I'm not trying to lie to you. I did come here on the yacht. But it wasn't a fun trip. I heard about your technology and thought I could... y'know. find some swag to lift and take with me. Something that would give me an edge. But then I saw you. I, yeah, it's cheesy. But it's true. I forgot about what I'd come here to do and I followed you instead." He sighs. "So. if you're going to pick me up and drown me in the ocean. Or kick me like a football, go ahead. But at least give me one good memory to hold onto before it shuts down permanently."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would watch him throughout his endeering speech and she'd slowly show signs of empathy for his implied suffering. "I am so sorry to hear." She'd say to him quietly as she looked to have true sorrow for what he'd seemingly gone through.

When he reached out for her she would reach out for him too with her right hand reaching over toward his left. "I think we can find you some very sweet 'swag' for when you leave." She said then, showing a smile while she wrapped her hand around his and interlaced their fingers together...

A second later and Diana's left hand came out and she suddenly wrapped a golden rope around his wrist on the hand she was clutching. She looped it over his wrist and then tied it/pulled it until she had him bound by the lasso she'd had on the back of her corset hanging against her backside.

The rope suddenly shined a bright golden yellow and grew painfully hot.

"Is everything you just told me true?" Diana would then ask him, now deadly serious. "What parts were not?"

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
Rocket took the hand and smiled some. It was nice to hold her hand. It was warm and soft like he imagined. But then he's caught in a trap like a wild animal. And in that instant before she commands him to tell the whole truth, he thrashes like a wild raccoon would when caught in a wire trap. He chitters in alarm, totally losing his Cool (tm), a look of abject fear in his eyes as if he were betrayed in the most cruel of ways.

He struggled but it eased as the questions were asked. He whimpered. "...thought you were different. Maybe even an easy lay. So gorgeous.." he mumbled as the lasso glowed. His eyes closed. "I. it. it's true. As much as I remember. mostly. I barely escaped. I wanted to blow that damned place up but I was too weak. too scared" he spits out in disgust. "I wanted to see. that. place. BURN." he says with true venom. Clenched teeth make his words more slurred but still intelligible. "I had to get tough. I was already smart. they made me smarter. Going back would have been suicide. So I ran. As far as I could." he shook his head. "Ran with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Takin' a little break right now." He shakes his head. "WHY AM I TELLING YOU THIS?!" he howls. "No one can get me to talk!"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would listen to all of this and she'd hold onto him with an iron clad grip... but she also had no intention of harming him so she made sure that when he moved he moved in a way that wouldn't cause him to hurt himself against her grasp/holding of him.

"I am special lady." She replied to his final words. "This is why you are telling me these things here and now. Because I am Princess Diana of the island of Themyscira, daughter to Zeus and Hippolyta... Ambaassador of the Amazons to the people of EArth... and now beyond."

Diana released Rocket's hand then and she slipped the rope off of his wrist, freeing him.

"And because this lasso commands you to tell me everything I ask of you." She added that part with a softer voice and a faint sarcastic smirk as she put it away back behind her back.

Diana would stand up again to her full six foot plus height. "You must join the others in the main village now. You may remain here until the ship returns to the main land."

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
Rocket has /got/ to get himself one of -those- he thinks to himself. But he doesn't say it. Fortunately. He looks to her, "The others? They don't even know who I am. They'll treat me like everyone else does. Like some mutated furry little freak!" he spits out with bitterness. his head hangs down. "I'm a mess. yeah. But I got feelin's too. Do =you= know what it's like to be mocked? Made fun of? spit at? Hit with rocks and every slur plus a bunch that didn't exist?" He looks at her. "You send me to them and I'm going to get some or all of that. if not in words, in their actions. Their eyes."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would glance back across the gazebo and beyond toward the beach. She could see people gathering there, some of her sisters were riding up to the bonfire area on horseback.

she looked back to Rocket then and showed him a soft expression. "So this is why you are so... coarse and agitated." She exhaled quietly/softly. It probably was hard being a... talking raccoon, that much she could understand and try to sympathize with.

Diana would shake her head slightly. "I will go and secure you a private room, You will then be able to stay there for the remainder of the guest period... -then- you will board the ship and return to the main land."

She showed a faint understanding frown. "Listen... Rocket. If you were to interact with my people, and speak to them as you spoke to me when you first emerged from the bushes... you would not last nearly as long as you have here and now with me. This island is no place for you, I am sorry to say."

Rocket Raccoon has posed:
Rocket got a compromise. And with the truth even. He listens. "Princess. I didn't even know what an 'Amazon' was two days ago. I thought it was a crazy big river system on another continent around here. I had to look your people up. I don't mean to be an ass. it... just comes naturally. whatever I've had, or have, I have to fight to get and keep." He looks at her. "A private room would be... nice" he agrees quietly. "I promise I won't sneak off." He pauses and looks up at her, "unless you don't come visit me for a while. because I might not be able to stop myself from tryin' t' find you if you didn't..."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana would take a step back onto the gazebo's step and then she'd listen to this before she'd show him a faint smirk. "Listen." She told him. "I will go and make the arrangements. You simply... stay here... I will be back once I have it all setup. I will escort you to the designated spot. I cannot stay with you however, I have duties to attend to tonight, guests that need to be tended to. Once the festivities on the beach have ended, I will bring you a platter of food and a pitcher of juice."

Diana would turn to leave then, but before going she'd look at him again. "Just... wait here, until I return." She would then make to leave to go arrange a place for him until tomorrow where he could be taken off-island again.
