Mon-El has posed:
The New Age store at the Enchanted Grounds is a very strange place for someone like Lar Gand, who came from a planet where magic doesn't really exist. Or at least it didn't at the time he apparently left it. Yes, he has encountered plenty of magical beings during many of his heroic exploits with the Legion in the 31st century, but at the moment he doesn't remember any of it.

There have been a lot of strange things happening lately...apparently Earth is currently in a state of turmoil over some political debate he knows nothing about. He also apparently has unexpectedly contracted lead poisoning. Not even sure how it is he just knows that's what it is, but again. Lots of strange things going on. He's begnning to see that Lyle Norg had probably been right about everything...

Presently, he pulls one of those old books off of the turntable shelf in the back, thinking that if this is supposed to be a book, he's never seen one -that- old before in real life. Hopefully, he doesn't accidentally break it as he has had a habit of doing to things he happens to touch lately.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
It's not strange for Kae! She lives here! LItterally! The tall red-head is currently wandering out of the back rooms, the woman having a small antique-brass colored dragon perched litterally on the witche's hat she's wearing, and a large raven on her shoulder... One of the young ladies who generally tends the front notices this and points at Kae, while giggling "Yay, you're finally getting into the spirit!" Kae blinks and pauses a bit before looking at Wendy, her apprentice, and sometimes tormentor...

"When was I ever -not- in the spirit? It's my store?" she says, raising an eyebrow and smirking... Tanya, a blonde girl wanders by and pokes at Wendy "Kae's gotta point... Though, ya look really good in that dress and hat, fits you well!" Kae blinks and looks down "Uhhuh, it's a bit tight in the hips and bust..." Tina wanders by and pokes at Kae now "It's cause you got it mixed up with mine."

Kae peers and sighs, waving a hand, there's a flicker around her and suddenly the black dress fits properly, even with the deep-V it has.. At least the woman doesn't look like she's about to explode out of the garment at any point.

At this point Tina notices Mon-El and offers a wave "Hallo! Welcome to Enchanted grounds, coffee shop and occult store! Feel free to peruse our goods or ask one of us for help if you need anything!"

Mon-El has posed:
Lar is currently dressed in regular street clothes, probably sweats and jeans and a jacket given the time of the year. It wasn't what he woke up in originally, but he'd been rather puzzled by the attire he'd found himself in so he'd opted not to draw stares by wearing something more casual.

When the conversation between the store's employees begins, his attention is drawn toward them. Well apparently the owner likes pets...and tight clothing. Maybe a bit -too- tight. But wait, the brass-colored one isn't organic, is it? Perhaps it's a drone of some kind.

He blinks when there's a flicker and suddenly her clothes aren't too tight any more. Huh, was that similar to the thing Tommy did earlier?

When Tina addresses him, he tries to push the book back onto the shelf, only the space he's trying to shove it into is too small and the cover just...buckles. Whoops. "Um...thanks ladies."

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Amasingly enough, the wierd thing is, shortly after the cover buckles, one might blink and it's back to being pristine again! Nobody waved a hand, it just went from damaged to perfectly fine in an instant.

Tina smiles at Mon'El and nods "No problem, just ask when you want help..." The little antique brass dragon turns its head on its long thin neck and pers at Mon-El now, it's amethyst eyes glittering as it raises the bony fin that makes up its hackles and warbles at the person, before chirping and tiltings its head, eyes twinkling mischieviously as he studies them..

Now it gets wierd, the Raven also peers at Mon-El, it's inky black eyes sparkling briefly before, in a prim and propper English accent. "Good day, don't mind Fanhuil, he's a bit different..." The Raven then addresses Kae "It's good that you got the right outfit this time Kae, don't want you popping out in public, its very embarrassing..."

Kae peers at the Raven and lightly flicks his bill, making the big bird fluff up and then hop off the woman's shoulder to occupy a perch on the checkout desk.. "Didn't have to bloody be mean about it!" he says to Kae, and Kae smirks back to the Raven. "Well the comment about me popping out wasn't all that nice either right?" she says with a smirk.

Mon-El has posed:
Mon-El stares at the book that appears to have just...repaired itself. Maybe it's not as old as he thinks? He examines it with X-ray vision but doesn't find any hidden machinery or anything like that. Talk about weird. Not that there haven't been plenty of strange people and things around Earth anyway, so it wasn't all that unexpected. He pushes it easily back onto the shelf once the cover is back to normal.

"So does everything here just fix itself automatically?" he asks toward anyone who will answer.

Lar isn't particularly shocked that the bird talked, just glad that he hadn't voiced his assumption that it was just a non-sapient beast based on its position and size prematurely. "Oh yeah? And what does this 'Fanhuil' do?" he asks, thinking it must be some kind of AI that assists with the operation of the business.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae glances at Mon'el and sits down nearby occupyng her favorite chair... "Umm Fanhuil? He ummm... " Poe interjects now.. "Causes micheif and mayhem pretty much everywhere.." Kae then blinks at the Raven and sticks out her tongue "Just cause he likes to torment you and vice versa..." The raven then puffs up. "It's much deserved when I dish it out!" Responds the now haughty sounding avian. Kae smirks a bit and looks to Mon-el "Don't mind Poe, he's just a cranky old crow..." Poe chokes audibly and caws, before calling out "Raven! There's a differfence! I am a propper brittish Raven." Hes now sounding quite indignate, and Kae looks at the bird and winks... The Raven then mutters "Bratty redheaded witch."

Mon-El has posed:
"Really?" Lar folds his arms. "I don't see any mischief or mayhem happening around here." The Daxamite remarks, glancing around quickly. "But I guess it wouldn't matter that much since everything seems to have some kind of invisible self-repair program built in. Somehow."

He chuckles at what he -assumes- is friendly banter between Kae and her feathery friend. "Poe, pleasure to meet you. Lar Gand." He was about to proceed with the Earth custom of handshaking but realizes Poe doesn't have hands so that wouldn't work. "And I thought I heard them call you 'Kae', is that your name?"

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae nods "Name is Kaelyn, yes, I guess I own this establishment." she says with a slight simle "Nice to meet you, and while program might not be entirely too innacurate and all... I guess spell would be better? The store prevents damage to its clients and its property." she says with a slight grin... "Lots of enchantments and the like."

Mon-El has posed:
"That's what I thought. And just how much damage can it instantly repair all at once, I can't help but wonder?"

Mon-El nods, but arches a brow at the spell comment. "Spell? Like a period of time?" He isn't sure how that makes sense. "Or does that word have yet another meaning in Earth language that I'm not yet familiar with?"
