Cast of Characters: Savage Dragon, April O'Neil

Savage Dragon has posed:
Mutant Town always a new day here. Savage Dragon stands with hands on hips looking down at the man on the ground in front of him, it's hard to tell it is a man and takes a trained eye to make this separation. All limbs, about eight of them to be exact and none of them are human looking. A spider-leg, an octopus tentacle, a bird wing... it goes on. Mutant, metahuman, alien, who knows that much though.

"So an egg?" A sigh from the police officer and he holds his cell phone up, thumbing lower then up. His hand is big enough it requires a stylus to actually use his screen. "Okay, can you describe the... "

A loud bang interrupts the Dragon-Cop-Man and hes turning to look across the street. A backfiring car and nothing more.

"Got to be kidding me."

"Look guy, it is getting dark. You want to get up and step inside somewhere warm while you tell me what happened?" A coffee shop is just near them and Dragon could really use some. That and he is off duty by about 17 minutes if hes got his times right.

April O'Neil has posed:
The Channel Six news van pulls around a corner and drives across the street from where Savage and his friend are. It parks and a moment later, April climbs out of the driver's seat. She'd barrowed the truck from Vernon because he didn't want her on her bike alone... he was somewhat chivalrous like that sometimes...

April closes the van door and looks over to Savage with a small smile on her lips. She sees he's busy though so she just leans back against the van and stuffs her hands into the side pockets of her bright yellow leather jacket. She's got a black scarf on around her neck and some black jeans and black boots.

When the Cop would look at her she'd give him a larger smile and a soft nod of her head in greeting, then her eyes would go to the strange... mutant? he was talking too.

Savage Dragon has posed:
A look over his shoulder at the van pulling up has Dragon mumbling, "Inside we go."

A nod and the birdoctoman uprights pushing some feathers down on one appendage. "My wife is going to be furious. I was supposed to be sitting on it."

A sigh from the Precinct 13 cop and he grins over at April now seeing her as she frees herself from the van. "I was hoping it was you and not that other guy, the short one with the bald head and the bad comb over... whats his name?" Maybe Dragon is mixing up his new stations or the other reporter hes mentioning just happened to be unlucky.

"Not sure if this is the headline piece you're looking for."

"But it is! They took my baby! Its probably dead already and now I am going to be next. You don't know my wife. Maybe you can help." The victim squawk talks. It's almost hard to understand the more riled up he gets.

"Calm down sir and this is a police matter for the moment at least until you give me a proper statement so I know just exactly what we're dealing with."

April O'Neil has posed:
April smiled at Savage's words. "Danny DeVito?" She asked him, shaking her head back and forth. "I don't work with Danny Devito, Dragon." She'd say, grinning at him as she stepped toward him. "I'm off work now, suppsoed to keep the van all night but I think I'll take it back anyway. I like having my bike..."

April's words trailed off when she heard the Birdman's claim of losing his baby and that certainly sounded like an alarming thing to hear/have told to you. The redheaded reporter seemed a lot more focused on this situation.

"What happened?" She asked, because it was her curious nature to always ask even if she wasn't supposed to.

Savage Dragon has posed:
"I don't think he was quite that short. Bigger nose maybe." Dragon quips back to the woman. "I'm off work too. Fancy that."

"This is serious! That is a real life kid in there." The man says loud his varying limbs flapping in all directions and something slimey shoots out to hit the concrete at April's feet. The man stops. "I'm very sorry about that. That never happens I'm just really concerned right now."

Dragon clears his throat, "I'm sorry. You do need to tell us what happened though and this is indeed very serious." There is a static clique over the radio on Dragon's utility belt. The green man is ignoring it but if someone listens close enough they'll heard what might have been laughter past the static of toggle receive to transmit.

"Okay so me and my baby were walking down the sidewalk with my stroller. Just pushing it along when these men in black, black glasses, black suits, ties. Whole deal ran over and knocked me to my back. The darker one took the egg and the other one well, he held up this pen and FLASHED me with it. Right in my eyes!" The man is getting worked up, frantic now in his explanation.

Dragon is nodding, listening, his uplifted brows of concern soon turning to a scowl and hes looking left to right. "Hold up. You said you had him in a stroller?"

"Yeah. A big one."

There is no stroller to be seen.

"Where is it?"

"They must have taken it."

April O'Neil has posed:
April show another faint grin over to Savage. There's no way he was talking about Vernon though, Vernon was 6'2" and had a mostly full head of black hair and a painted-on tan... she was curious about who he meant, but her attention was more-so on this odd story in front of her.

April would take a step back when that splatter landed on the ground in front of her relatively new shoes... not that she was overly concerned about her clothing, April still dressed like a hipster college student and she liked it that way.

"Wow." She'd say then to the distraught parent. "Thats really messed up. Who would do that?" She asked, looking over to Savage then and glancing down at his radio when she thought she heard laughter over it... radios were hard to understand sometimes though.

Savage Dragon has posed:
"THEM" The octobirdman proceeds.

"Wait wait, who is them?" Dragon gives a look over at April and that laughter chirps again. This time he hears it also and frowns down at his hip. "Also you said the man picked up your egg why when did he take the stroller and... " A long pause. A curious look at the man, "Miss O'Niel, are you familiar with a lot of classic movies?"

"They had suits, they're out there. I'm telling you they want to get us and this isn't the first time. This is the third of my eggs! THREE three of my kids taken by... " The now louder metahuman speaks low, lower now, "the Spooks."

A low long sigh escapes Dragon and he picks up the radio at his hip, "Very funny guys. You realize I'm a sergeant right? Not some damned rookie you can haze."

"You don't believe me?" B.O.M. glares at Dragon then lunges towards April, a crabclaw and a tentacle lashing out to grab her by the arms. "YOU you're the reporter April O'Niel, I recognize you now. You know this stuff. You help out people like me... you have to believe me!"

The laughter through the radio is loud now, obnoxious and crackling with static. Dragon rubs fingers over his eyes. "Twenty minutes of my off duty time on this... hey pal. Get your hands off the lady!"

April O'Neil has posed:
April looked over at Savage then and she mouthed and mumbled-out "Men in Black?" But her words were almost completely cut off by the madness going on on the radio and when the octo-dad-bird grabbed for her! She didn't scream, she just went a little wide-eyed and looke down at her arm and then up at him.

"I really don't have any reason not to believe you." April said to the Bird. "Whats your name?" She asked him then.

Her blue eyes cast toward the radio and she glanced up to Dragon. "Shut if off, don't acknowledge them." Those were the kinds of Cops that April butted heads with and she knew damn well they were just sitting somewhere stuffing their faces with Hooters wings and Dunkin Donuts. Useless.

April looked back to the supposed parent who lost their 'egg' and she shook her head. "I can certainly try to help, but I don't know a lot about shaded men stealing children... of any kind."

Savage Dragon has posed:
Dragon is already ahead of April and thumbing the radio off. He'll get names later when hes back at the station.

The birdoctoman doesn't release his grip only rattling her back and forth. The claw is painful but the other is just gross feeling. "I knew someone would finally believe me! I'll show you my findings and then you'll see!"

"DAN!" A woman can be heard screeching from an apartment nearby, one of the windows on a three story brownstone open. "DAN get in here now! I see you down there touching that street slut! GET YUOR ASS UP HERE!"

"Oh no. She still hasnt forgiven me and now this. I'm so dead." BOM who is apparently named Dan is thrown back suddenly by a push to the chest.

"I said hands off. Now, Dan is it, the number you called from is your cell righ?" Dragon inquires politely.

"Yeah yeah, call me please. Please. I got to go! Thank you Miss O'Neil and sorry again for squirting on your shoes." A fast run has the odd man racing to the woman's voice and the apartment.

Out of earshot now Dragon's green eyes go wide and he mouths, "What. the. fuck." to April.

"You believe any of that crock of crazy? Men in Black, April, Men in Black... I suppose it won't hurt to give you his number but be careful, seriously, the crazy ones... we don't always know they're harmful until it's too late." A thumbjerk to the coffee shop and the green man grins at the reporter, "Hey, want to grab a bite then head over to my place? It's movie night. Angel has her new and I quote boyfriend over... be a first meeting and if you're around I may not throw him out a window." A large white smile appears.

April O'Neil has posed:
April definitely winced at the pain that the kung-fu-bird-grip was having on her wrist/arm but she wasn't grossed out by 'Dan' ... she'd gottne used to gross things over the past year of visiting the sewers!

When she was called a street slut by someone across the way, April's eyes went up then and she looked for the source of the voice and just sighed. "How nice." April would mutter before looking back to see Dan get shoved and then make a break for it.

"Eight armed... bird dad... missing an egg..." April slowly shook her head and then huffed out a lauhg. She put her eyes over and up onto Dragon's and she smiled at him.

"I can look into it." She'd say to the tall Police Officer. "And that sounds like a lovely evening plan to me. I'm all for it. I hope your daughter doesn't immediately hate me. I'll try to be as awesome as I can be... but I'm so old you know? Its hard to keep up with the kids these days." She teased, the grin on her pink painted lips showcasing that.

Savage Dragon has posed:
"If she hates you you will now. She once got mad because I took her cellphone away and threw our fridge across three city blocks." Dragon's laugh carries with him as he holds the door open for her and they both enter the coffee shop.
