Profile
Savage Dragon is a recognized hero in Chicago, his fame beyond the city itself is limited. He has yet to make himself a name in NYC as he is a recent transfer to Distrct X's 11th Precinct.

Savage Dragon is obviously green. This is the first thing anyone will notice about him. Secondly the fin that stands upright from the top of his bald head a good several inches taller than his already impressive height. It makes him look just that much taller. Then it's about the sheer width of his shoulders and broad torso, his arms are equally massive tapering down to sinewy forearms and long fingered claw-tipped hands (these are meticulously clipped usually). His hips are narrow making him have an obvious V shape to his build. The man looks powerful and he no doubt is.
A strong face that is quick to smile shows off white sharp teeth, a brow that is quick to frown drops heavily with thick brows that shadow green eyes and bold cheekbones.
More often than not Savage Dragon is dressed in his police uniform with standard gear. If he is outside of that he is often just wearing civvies.

History

A green-skinned humanoid is discovered in a burning field outside of Chicago, Illinois. While recuperating in the HIllman Hospital he was visited by Frank Darling and the two fast became friends. Amnesiac as the 'freak' was he began getting called Dragon by the nurses and it stuck. This even became his legal identity.
After full recovery Frank's cousin Fred offered Dragon a job at his Warehouse and the amnesiac homeless alien took up the offer graciously. Several times over he was offered a job with the police force but declined.
Cop
A manipulative stunt by Frank results in his cousin's death and the recruitment of Dragon in to the Chicago PD. There he became instrumental in battling metahumans and threats that the conventional law enforcement was incapable of handling.
Dragon locked up more metahumans and freaks in his first day on duty than the entire force had managed that previous year. This brought the ire of the Vicious Circle down on Dragon which results in a tumultuous and bloody series of conflicts that lasts throughout the next several years.
In that time Dragon's girlfriend died, romances were had, crimes thwarted, vigilantes were recruited in to the force (then left it) and eventually the leader of the Vicious Circle was slain by Dragon himself.
What follows is the Chicago Gang War, the birth of a son who was then abducted (presumably killed) and life moved on.
Family Man
Dragon's help then had him traveling the United States training government agencies in metahuman counter tactics. It's within this timeframe he fell in love with a woman named Jennifer and they soon married.
Ugly circumstances follow in which Jennifer is killed and Dragon becomes the guardian of his dead wife's daughter Angel, a mutant with superhuman strength just like her mother.
Dragon finds himself at a crossroads - he knows as a man with his considerable power he can help but he's also now a father, a father of a mutant. It's this knowledge that prompts him to take up a job in NYC working with the forming 11th Precinct in what is known as District X or the more popular Mutant Town.

Current...Dragon is a modern age good ole boy. He is the epitome of a man's man and very confident in what he is capable of and his limits. He's easy-going with a great sense of humor, a considerable depth of common sense and has a blunt honesty. He is not shy about his opinions, thoughts or ideals. He is also known to have a temper and can snap from joking to deadly serious in the snap of a finger.
The man's a white knight and a peace keeper who wants his allies to remain his allies and his enemies to quite frankly have their asses beat in. He is very territorial and protective of what he considers his. Kinda like a dragon.

DRAGONSKIN
Dragon's skin is impervious to conventional firearms and even high-caliber attacks. He can even withstand an attack from a rocket launcher. He is also unaffected by fire, heat and most extreme weather conditions. Smoke inhalation is also a very minor concern.
KRYLAN PHYSIQUE
Dragon like most Krylans are far denser, stronger, faster and more durable than human beings they effectively delve in to the superhuman categories. As such Dragon's raw physical strength exceeds a lifting value of 30 tons (but no more than 60). While in Earth's or Earth-like gravity he is capable of leaping about 1/4th a mile in distance and half of that straight upwards. His agility, balance, reflexes and speed are also a notch more than a peak human could attain making him capable of attaining high speeds or in short bursts even keeping up with a car on foot. His stamina, durability and endurance are also reflected in this.
REGENERATIVE
Dragon's healing factor is quite impressive. It gives him an extended lifespan (he never looks like he ages) moderate wounds heal up within hours, critical wounds days to weeks and limbs can regrow or be re-attached within weeks to months. He has an immunity to natural diseases and some resistance to supernatural ailments (those by means of magic, alien, mutant or other origins). He can also survive a bullet through the head or heart if treated soon enough. However, if those organs are completely destroyed he will die.
This power coupled with his superhuman durability and willpower has given him a fantastic pain tolerance and threshold.

AMNESIAC
Dragon has no recollection of being the tyrannical sadistic monster Emperor Kurr. A beastly individual who once wanted to conquer Earth. The only signs of this maniac left in the man come out with Dragon's temper, those occasional bad dreams and a lust for blood he keeps a lid on.
BERSERKER
"Savage" comes from somewhere and that is the Dragon's temper. If triggered or pushed to that point Dragon becomes a rampaging, muscle bulged, vein covered blood thirsty monster with no regard for anyone or anything but the decimation of the source of his ire. His strength and durability increases by about 50 and he no longer attempts to dodge or avoid attacks. He just goes for the kill and doesn't stop until put down or he downs his target.
DISTINCTIVE APPEARANCE
The unnaturally bulky frame, sharp teeth, green skin and two toes are not exactly easy to hide. He even has to shop at specialized stores for his sizes plus there is a list of social issues this causes. Most generally assume he is just a mutant. Dragon himself actually just assumes the same.
ENEMIES
His time in Chicago was like being on a battlefield. Day to day was warfare in Chi-Town and the Vicious Circle doesn't forget it's enemies. Even if Dragon has moved on, old grudges don't.

Dragon isn't a mutant like he believes. He is an alien. A member of the usually peaceful Krylans. Why this hasn't been discovered yet is a mystery but there are those out there that may know or find out that could be either beneficial or problematic. Usually the latter.

A mutant with superhuman strength that will one day be greater than his own and a whole list of issues that come with being a teenager he can't even comprehend. She comes from an abusive childhood but loves Dragon greatly and he's the only dad she'll ever claim as her own. She lives with him in District X.
