Date of Scene: 30 March 2018
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Savage Dragon, April O'Neil

Savage Dragon has posed:
A holiday to the next. Dragon is finding himself rather on the down side of things. Angel has not turned up, the Turtles agreed to seek her out where they could but when shes attached to a Dimension X and back again hopping red midget witht he abilities to fly? Thats a hard track.

He's immersed himself in police work, the majority of it in classrooms as he trains other officers in metahuman preparation tactics and procedures.

He's been around for April, when she calls or on the odd visit but until she insists otherwise hes been respectfully keeping a distance. Guilt plays a factor there. Not that hes acting run down, beat up or depressive, he puts on a good show of smiles, joking and laughing around. Lately getting better about it too. Time and all that jazz.

A steady BANG BANG is heard on April's door, then the knob is turned, "Hey, it's me!" He announces clear, loud, all authorative cop voice without effort.

April O'Neil has posed:
April has been enjoying the self-employed life, not having to bicycle her way into Manhattan every day has given her a lot of free time and as such her apartment has changed a lot. The whole place is cleaner than ever and the furniture has been moved around or completely replaced with new (sturdier for the turtles AND dragon) furniture.

April also had the antique shop open on the weekends and since it was Friday she had the lights on downstairs and a lot of stuff in bags that she'd bought from other people while things that have been in the store for years are now missing from the shelves... its a right ol' business atmosphere down there, though its currently closed until tomorrow.

Right now? April is cleaning, in fact she's down on her hands and knees (keep your mind clean!) and she's got an arm stuffed inside a now-oepn air vent with her hand digging around inside it... Why on earth she'd be doing that is anyone'e guess, but hey, its Curious April and thats kind of her sort of weird.

When Dragon walks in, she looks up across the room at him and then rises up on her knees and smiles at him, sitting back on her feet. "Hey." She says, a word combined with a heavy exhale. "Didn't hear ya coming up the stairs."

Savage Dragon has posed:
"Hey beautiful." Dragon says casually while approaching the fridge to shove in a case of Pisswasser, a parody booze that is actual booze. Doesn't at all taste like it's namesake.

"You drop something or just got that spring cleaning itch?" The green skinned man is wearing a Chicago Bears jersey thats tight across his massive torso, jeans and shoes. Casual day apparently. Not on duty when he can lately hes spending it around April and getting to know the Turtles when they want to show.

"I think that fourth stair that always creaks somehow got fixed." A beer popped out and opened.

"You need some help?"

April O'Neil has posed:
April has on a long sleeve tshirt and a pair of baggy yellow cargo pants that look like they should have suspenders, but they're missing those for some reason! She stands up when he walks in and she walks over toward him while grabbing a wooden box the size of her hand off of the coffee table. "Look at this." She tells him as she steps up in front of him and displays the box.

She opens its lid and inside of it is a golden ink pen with an inscription on it in another language. "I found this in there." She points over to the still-open air vent along the floor board. "I think it was my dad's, I feel like I've seen it before. But I can't imagine why he'd hid it in there." She offers the box and pen to Dragon if he wants to take it or not.

A breath is taken, April's head shakes side to side and she reaches her free hand up to brush her hair back out of her face while he cracks open a beer. "I was looking around to see if there was anything else in there, but... didn't feel anything."

Savage Dragon has posed:
"If this is one of those trap boxes... " Dragon grins. A large green hand juggling beer from one to the other then popping it in to his mouth, drinking while he examines the box.

"Your parents are stashing boxes with foreign languages? Why would he stash that away?"

Taking the box from her offered hand he palms it, turns it around slowly and studies it. The pen likewise clutched as his beer is set aside, "Never seen these before? Even when you were little I take it?"

April O'Neil has posed:
When Dragon takes the box and examines the pen, April's hands go to her hips and she just stares at him while he examines it much like she had when she'd first found it. "I know I've seen it before, a long time ago... on my dad's desk in the office downstairs... well, what is the furniture room now, used to be his office until my mom needed more space for the store."

April's head shakes back and forth then as she moves her blue yes from his hands up to his own eyes. "Its just, weird, that he'd stash it in an air vent, like it was... I don't know, drugs or drug money or something." She bites down on her bottom lip for a second and then turns around to walk over to the air vent which she kneels down in front of again to peer inside of once more before she reaches for the vent cover itself to get ready to seal it back up. "Maybe he was just hiding it from me, I don't know. I'd like to know what that inscription says though and what language its in..."

Savage Dragon has posed:
"He wouldn't have been hiding it from your mother would he?" Dragon doesn't make the usual statements like 'double family!' 'secret stash' etc. The most obvious ones because one never knows. Not in these sort of cases and April's background, this shop, its all still a mystery to him despite the time they have spent together, when she talks about her parents he tends to listen becuse they're rare instances.

"Really think it would be drugs? I mean an antique shop, could be anything... even just a coin collection" The language is stared at, the scrawling, its nothing he has seen before. "Maybe we should Google?" A grin, his white teeth showing as emerald eyes latch on to her blues.

"Your dad never disappeared on you and your mother? Went on vacations that you don't know where.. "

April O'Neil has posed:
With the covering back on, and Dragon's words heard, April stands up and turns back around to walk toward him. She holds her hand out for the pen and looks up at him after he asks that about her dad. "No, no way." April says then with a shake of her head side to side. "My parents were all over each other all the time, it used to make me groan as a kid. They adored each other..." She looks down at the pen then and mutters. "As far as I know at least."

The redhead turns on her socked heels and starts to move toward her office. "I can scan images of it and put it up on some websites, see if anyone knows what it is or where it came from... Maybe get some leads that way." She says as she pauses in the doorway and looks back at him.

"And hey, sorry... I'm, being weird." April turns to face him again and she leans against the door frame. "How are you doing? Any word from Angel?"

Savage Dragon has posed:
"Sound disgustingly... wholesome." Dragon regards, the pen gven back.
"Then that means its nothing to do with him cheating, having another family or anything like that. Also if they were happy, nothing strange its unlikely it was drugs. Maybe collectables or something else, somethig keeping you guys ssafe even."
A run of his tongue over his green lips, wetting them as he follows her towards the office, pausing only to grab his beer back up.

"Yeah, scan away and lets get this cooking."

When she stops at the door he comes to a halt immediately in front of her, looking down with a fond smile, one hand rising up to rest upon her cheek, "Don't worry about it and... I'm good. Been keeping busy." There is no immediate answer about Angel, he rubs his large thumb across her chin then his hand drops to his side stepping in to that familiar office space.
"She'll turn up."

April O'Neil has posed:
April looks up at the much taller Dragon and she can't help but show a pleased smile at his affectionate touch. "I hope she does." She replies to him quietly before she then does finally turn back around and steps into her office... where new toys have been purchased also. She's got more recording time so there's new recording equipment in here with brighter lights and even a green screen hung up on the southern wall where there wasn't a window (though the two windows in this room were covered up to keep the natural lighting from interfering with her own carefully setup lighting.

April sets the pen in its box down at her computer desk and she sets herself down on the edge of her chair while waking her PC up and looking over to him.

"I think the tracking job for the Guys was a bit out of their ballpark, they're a little too... street for finding a girl who can go so many places so easily." April stares at him, bites lightly on her lowerlip, and then looks away when her computer is back online.

It only takes her a short while to get some pics taken of the pen and its box too.

Savage Dragon has posed:
"Made some improvements. Free time from the station paying off some." Dragon begins rifling through a box, rummaging around to look at the newest trinkets then the cameras to green screen.
"Starting to look more like a film studio over an office space." A look over his shoulder at her just as shes glancing at him, "Yeah, you're probably right. It was worth a shot and they seemed eager. I may still have them be the ones to talk to her though if i do find her."

That stare shes tossing his way gets a curious tip of his head, a green hand resting on a camera, turning it so it's facing her, thumbing the button on it so it powers on. "I missed." He says, chuckling.
"Way too slow to catch that expression."

"I guess now we wait to see what comes up."

April O'Neil has posed:
April has to laugh softly at the thought of the Turtles being the ones who speak to Angel when she resurfaces. "They can charm just about anyone, especially people close to their own age. And I don't think Angel is the type of person to be off-put by their physical appearance. I know that some people definitely are that type, and Angel has a lot of issues... but she's pretty casual about that kind of thing." Clearly.

With the pictures pulled up on the computer's screen, April just closes the box up and she pushes the thing to the middle of the desk. "I'll have to dig up the sites to put the photos on later, there's probably... I mean I can think of a few antique sites that'd be worth a shot."

With a heavy sigh, she leans back in her chair and her ams go to the chairs arms while her eyes go to his. She grins at him in front of the Green Screen. "You're gonna be completely lost if I put a background on that thing while you're in front of it. But... I figure you're not planning on starring in any of my videos, huh?" She sasses him a bit and her grin shows it!

Savage Dragon has posed:
"Angel has more iss ues than I could keep up with clearly." Dragon says, "The guys shoulda met her sooner, she probably needed friends closer to her own age."

Dropping to a seated position his eyes roam over the new additions to the room, instruments, tools, video toys, cameras.
"Well, we can get to that later."

"I will, I refuse to paint myself blue also but you know, I am still the co-star of your best videos anyways." The sass returned with his own headshake.

That camera he aimed at her still on and rolling.
