Cast of Characters: Superwoman, Gravitas

Superwoman has posed:
Another day- another live news feed of Superwoman saving the day. A huge pileup of vehicles on a highway was soon pulled apart. People were rushed to the hospital- a barely seen streak of blacks, silvers, and white. Momentary pictures of the powerful woman as she tore through twisted steel to so gently gather the injured and move them as quickly as she could towards help and life. She must have saved dozens.

Before long, though, the human authorities have found themselves there, able to assist those who are injured- the worst of all that suffering sent into the emergency room as quickly as possible. Superwoman floats now above the city, near the hospital- watching quietly the events as they occur inside- eyes able to see through walls. Just watching now as things happen inside. Quiet.

Gravitas has posed:
There's a burst of light first, then the wave of air that is pushed ahead of simple gravitational force. The mixed gasses near Faora aren't sure how to react to the girl's approach and so they mile and mingle, forming a swirl that is a distinctive sign of... Yes. There she is. Gravitas. Today she is wearing a blue tracksuit It shows her figure slightly better than the previous outfit; Faora needn't touch her this time to find her shape beneath baggy clothes. The mask is there as well.

The girl is quiet as she floats into place beside Superwoman, blue eyes wide while she stares down at the hospital. Blonde curls bounce slightly, swaying above and behind her. For not Tori has nothing to say. it's companioanble, at least on her end.

Superwoman has posed:
"You've changed your costume, Gravitas." Superwoman says softly as she looks over to Victoria. Those blue eyes stare onto the hospital, still. "They're so fragile." her voice so quiet. "Its... difficult to watch." she says, then. "I made sure to take the most serious cases, first. I was so careful with them. Many are still beyond help." she swallows, shaking her head. "Its disgusting. Its so primitive."

There's a quiver in Faora's voice, "How can I save a people who have such.. frailty?" Faora sighs softly, shaking her head again. "I keep watching them work. I can't look away." she admits. "Watching as they try so hard to fight the specter of death."

Gravitas has posed:
"Weren't your people also frail? More technologically advanced, but... Vulnerable to explosions and stabbings and...?" As Tori asks this question she is fluttering up beside Faora and moving to wrap her arms tightly around her, as she had before. This time there is no hesitation at all. She just embraces the much taller woman tightly, a warm, soft comfort pressed against her.

"All you can do is help them live better lives. No one can save us all. Youv'e already helped so many people. Saved so many lives. I know some of them are, um.... Dying... But it doesn't change that. Right?" Victoria actually asks this carefully, though her voice falters as she speaks, uncertain of how best to express these thoughts.

"We have to be primitive, I guess. There's so much to learn and do." Tori tilts her head now, resting it agains Faora's side. "At least you're staying with them," she murmurs after a moment of silence.

Superwoman has posed:
"Once." Faora says, again a little stiff as she's wrapped up in Tori's arms- finding herself held so tightly. "Once we were primitive like this- but, you have to understand that this... its like you looking back at the dark ages, Gravitas." she says, voice still quiet as she lets an arm wrap around Gravitas gentle. They're rather high up- it be difficult to see them easily from the ground.

Tori can undoubtedly hear the heart beat in her chest. Superwoman's heart beats slowly, calmly, even now. "I can only watch. That's as much as I can be with them, now. They don't love me like they do Superman. I can't... I can't offer them comfort. Not like he can." she says softly, "But, perhaps that is not my place. Not my place to offer comfort... not yet." she swallows again, quiet still. "Some are dying. Some are already dead." She sighs. "All this power. No way to help."

Gravitas has posed:
"Ah, yeah. I... I get it." Tori listens to Faora's heartbeat slow, her head pressed in tightly while she counts the measures. Tori relaxes as well when Faora's arm goes around her in turn and she eventually breathes a soft sight. "They are starting to understand," she whispers then. "They don't know you but they will."

After this Tori is quiet for a time, resting there and offering her presence as comfort. She does eventually add, "They do call you a hero, you know. On the news. A lot of people think you're amazing. And I know at least one person who is really comforted knowing you're out there to take care of us..."

Superwoman has posed:
"That's all very nice to know." Faora says softly. "We'll see what they think when Ms. Lane releases her interview regarding Superwoman. Everyone will know what happened. What I did." she says softly. "They'll all know that I'm a murderer. That I'm a traitor to my people. That I spent decades in the Phantom Zone." she takes a sharp breath. "What will they think of me then, Gravitas?" she asks softly. "What will the think of me when they know?"

Gravitas has posed:
"I don't know," Tori responds quietly. "Why did you tell them?" That question is asked a bit plaintively, though the young woman doesn't make any attempt to twist away. She draws a deep breath instead, closing her eyes for a moment while she considers her thoughts. "I can't account for all of them and neither can you. Some people hate Superman for being too fast or too smart or too.. Shiny." She shrugs faintly at that. "It's impossible to get everyone to like you..." A beat. "I know, I just sound ridiculous. But I want you around. If it's okay if I keep bugging you like this."

Superwoman has posed:
"Its important." Faora replies. "They have a right to know. I can't stand up here with all this power and expect for them to accept me if I'm not honest with them." Superwoman continues. "Imagine what they would say if I never told them. What else I was keeping from them..." Faora sighs quietly, "Its all very complicated, Gravitas. It was simpler when I was just a soldier."

Gravitas has posed:
"You're right. Telling them is a good idea," Tori finally allows. She sighs softly then, burying her head a bit more firmly. She is lounging weightlessly against Faora, her unique style of flight allowing her to simply lay there, almost atop the woman beside her. "Do you still think I should go away?" The young woman asks then, rather quietly. "And if not..." A beat. "Want to go see a movie? I bet you haven't really gone to any but they're fun. There was no animation on Krypton, right?"

Superwoman has posed:
Quietly, Faora reaches up to stroke Tori's hair- fingers gentle as they slide through the other woman's golden locks. Quiet as they float in the sky so effortlessly. "I don't know, Gravitas. I don't know what to think right now." she admits quietly, "Its all.." A pause.

"I've never seen a movie. No. We did have entertainment similar, in the form of holograms." she offers, "Some of it interactive. Some of it narrative." She pauses again. "I suppose we could see a movie- but... I'm not sure what, exactly, animation means."

Gravitas has posed:
"I guess it's like a hologram in some ways," Victoria responds thoughtfully. "I mean, you draw a bunch of pictures, right? Each one is just a tiny bit different than the last one. Then you line them up and show them really fast and it looks like the picture is moving. That's the basics. We call them, um, cartoons usually. There are lots of fun ones..." Tori shrugs her shoulders slowly before laughing. "We'll see one that's animated and see what you think, I guess!"

As fingers drift through Tori's hair the honey haired girl relaxes into Faora further. her tresses are incredibly soft to the touch and at this disance she smells faintly of lavender. "And then dinner."
