Entering and Breaking
Date of Scene: 15 June 2018
Location: A satellite lab of Stockgen
Synopsis: Twitch breaks into Shredder's office to get back the footage from the Twin Monks Cafe. He succeeds! Kind of.
Cast of Characters: Twitch, Shredder

Twitch has posed:
Oroku Saki has pissed Twitch off. The young mutant's friend is being blackmailed by the Stockgen CEO and that's not something he's going to take lying down. His objective this evening is to teach Oroku a lesson and get him to destroy the video being used to extort his friend.

Twitch's mission begins with reconnaissance, finding Oroku's building isn't difficult as Stockgen is a large corporation with a public presence. After that it's comes to watching the parking garage through his new binoculars for the Japanese businessman to get into the nice car that's driven by a professional driver. Then comes the hard part, tailing a vehicle through the city on a motorcycle without getting spotted. It's a good thing Twitch is an amazing rider. He keeps his distance as much as possible and parallels Oroku's path along side streets so that he won't get spotted.

Eventually Oroku's car reaches it's destination, a smaller Stockgen satellite lab in Brooklyn. As the driver pulls his vehicle up to let Oroku out Twitch parks his own a few blocks away so that the sound of the engine won't be heard. From there he takes to the roofs, using his grappling hook to ascend a nearby building so that he can travel along the rooftops towards his destination.

Shredder has posed:
The japanese businessman enters the building, heading inside. Checks at security wave him through. They know who he is. The smaller satellite lab is only a three story building, nothing remarkable, and even has a convenient roof access door. A pebble coated flat roof with various AC units speckle across it.

Twitch has posed:
That roof access is just what Twitch needs to get inside. Checking around for signs that he might be spotted, the youth proceeds to the door and attempts to open it. Not having luck he pulls out his grappling hook again and hooks it between the door and it's frame, pulling hard in an attempt to pop the lock, relying on his weight and leverage to try to get the job done.

Shredder has posed:
It takes a couple of tugs to pull the door open, but eventually, it gives with a loud *POP* of the metal. Inside there is a small keypad, it looks like there was a lock on the door, and a red light is lit on the keypad, flashing. Down the stairs leads to a door, and on the other side of the door is a fairly average looking office hallway, windows along it showing various labs with different equipment in it.

Twitch has posed:
When the door opens Twitch makes his way inside quickly, noticing the keypad and frowning behind his bandana. Well, there's no sense in worrying about that alarm now. It's too late for Twitch to do anything but proceed further into the building. Putting his grappling hook away he does just that, keeping his head on a swivel as he proceeds deeper inside in his attempt to find Oroku. He moves quickly, not wanting to take more time in here than absolutely necessary to accomplish his mission. Each lab is briefly scanned as he passes them. Not knowing much about science they all look the same.

Shredder has posed:
A suit comes around the corner, but this one isn't the target. "Hey," the tall man says. "What're you doing?" He reaches into his suit jacket, pulling a pistol. A seemingly extreme response, but hey, there is a masked guy in the building. Clearly this is security.

Twitch has posed:
"Sorry about this!" Twitch says as he pull a lead ingot from his vest and tosses it towards the man's gun as hard as he can. Already moving, he darts from side to side quickly as he approaches the security guard, trying to keep the man off balance. When the young mutant gets close he attempts a rapid fire series of punches, then a round kick aimed for the head, moving through the combination with grace, ease and force.

Shredder has posed:
The lead strikes the gun hand, and the bullet goes off, slugging into the wall. It causes just the disruption that is needed as Tyler unloads his punches. The man tries to defend, and manages to block a couple of them, only to receive the kick to the head, knocking him clear against the wall, and he slides down it unconscious.

Twitch has posed:
"Where is Oroku..." Tyler trails off as he stares at the unconscious guy sliding down the wall. "Damn. I'm too good." Glancing at the security guard's weapon he says, "I gotta get ear protection." Then he bounces on the balls of his feet and looks around again, sighing, "Only going to get tougher from here." Starting off again, he palms another lead ingot, ready to launch it.

Shredder has posed:
The aftermath of the shot results in a few people milling about, running can be heard. A scientist peeks out of one of the lab doors, and upon seeing the masked vigilante, his eyes go wide with shock.

Twitch has posed:
"Where is Oroku Saki?" Twitch asks the scientist, looking around the whole time to make sure that nothing's trying to sneak up on him. It's best to avoid getting blindsided as it's hard to dodge bullets you don't see coming.

Shredder has posed:
The scientist doesn't answer, but upon realizing he is the target of Twitch's attention, he ducks back in the door, attempting to shut it.
Meanwhile, two more gorillas in suits appear. "Hey!" they exclaim, each pulling a pistol. They are on the other end of the hall still, though an intersection is readily available for evasion. "Stop right there!"

Twitch has posed:
"Damn it!" Twitch exclaims when he sees the pair of security officers appear. He darts for the other hallway as he flings out an ingot towards one of their foreheads, hoping to take them out of the fight. As he gets around the corner Twitch grabs a lead slug in each hand and flattens himself against the wall to use it as cover before rapidly turning and flinging the ingots in each hand at his target's hands.

Shredder has posed:
The guard neither expected the lead weight to be thrown from that distance, nor did he expect such an insane level of accuracy. There is am "Ow!" followed by a thump to the ground. The second guard starts to give chase as Twitch rounds the corner, only to be met with another ingot as it strikes him across the bridge of the nose, and the second drops him to the ground, groaning from the pain. He's still conscious, kind of.

Twitch has posed:
Well, there's someone to talk to, at least. Twitch hauls ass towards the mostly conscious guard, tossing another ingot at the nearest weapon to the man to make sure it's not within reach, the one with the busted up nose, and moves to grab him by the lapels and pull him up enough to talk. Notably, Twitch's arms are crossed at the wrists and he's got the guard way back on the lapels, ready to start a blood choke, "Where is Oroku Saki?" He doesn't get right in the guy's face or anything like that, but he does begin to apply a little bit of pressure to the sides of his neck.

Shredder has posed:
"What's wrong with you?" grunts the guard. "Mr. Oroku? You have a death wish?" he asks. As the pressure starts, he clenches his teeth. "Psycho, get off me." He continues to resist the pressure. "Damnit, He's probably at his office on the second floor, get off!" He is starting to get hazy, clearly almost unconscious

Twitch has posed:
"Just need to talk business with the man," Tyler says, releasing the guard. "Sorry about that." He actually pats him on the shoulder before getting up and heading towards a staircase, following the signs. When he gets to the stairs he jumps down quickly, doing a flip and landing smoothly on his feet, bending his knees deeply when his feet hit the floor.

Shredder has posed:
The stairs lead to another section, this floor seems to be a little nicer than the third floor, a light blue color scheme, more open. Saki's office isn't marked as such, but there is a receptionist, young and blonde, looking down at her work, not yet having looked up.

Twitch has posed:
When he spots the receptionist sitting at her desk, Twitch hesitates for a moment before starting to walk past her. "Excuse me, but I need to see Oroku Saki." It would be a lot easier if he was already a famous superhero and people recognized him. Also might be easier if he wasn't just a dude in a mask, for the most part. "You might want to take off."

Shredder has posed:
The girl looks up, finding herself face to face with the masked crusader. She looks dumbstruck, and opens her mouth to speak, but words elude her for several seconds. "He's...uh..." she glances at the closed door. "He's in a meeting right now," she manages to finish her statement. "Uh...would you like to make an appointment?"

Twitch has posed:
"I'm sorry, but this can't wait," Twitch tells the young lady as he moves to the office proper. "I like your hair, by the way." Damn, but he is not good at this stuff yet. Placing a hand on the knob Twitch attempts to open the door, taking a deep breath as he does so. "Oroku Saki!" He calls out loudly...

Shredder has posed:
The office isn't huge, but it does seem to revolve around a board room table rather than a desk. Saki and an african american man in a suit stand over a set of reports, and both look up suddenly at the proclamation. The other seems to be alarmed. Saki knits his already deeply slanted brow, and answers. "Yes?" Surprised? Yes. Intimidated...not as much.

Twitch has posed:
"I need you to stop blackmailing people," Twitch says, trying to sound as tough as he can and only partially succeeding. He is new to this, after all. "You're not going to get away with it. I need you to destroy the evidence you took from the police." He stands up as straight as he can and balls up his hands into fists, looking as though he's trying to be intimidating. Of course, what he does next might mess that up. Turning towards the other suit in the room he says, "Sorry about messing up your meeting, but this guy did a bad thing and I might need to break his legs."

Shredder has posed:
"Dr. Stockman," Saki says, "Please give me a moment, this boy seems very intent to say his peace." He stands up from the table, and Stockman nods, "Of course, Mr. Oroku," he answers, heading for the door and inching his way past Twitch.
"You are very bold," the businessman says as the door closes behind him, pacing the room. Around the "An intruder, a vague and inspecific accusation followed by an equally vague and inspecific demand," He arches his brows with amusement, "Followed by a very specific threat. What is your name, boy?" he asks, strolling to a display on one end of the room. The shelves hold various weapons. A Katana, a pair of sais, a tekko-kagi claw. He strokes the metal on the claw with one finger, then retracts it, folding his hands behind his back and facing Twitch.

Twitch has posed:
"I'm Twitch," says the young man, gulping deep in his throat. This is clearly not how he thought things would end up going. The gulp is repeated when he sees Oroku over by the weapons on display. "You somehow obtained video evidence from a battle that happened at Twin Monk's coffee shop between some mutants and some cyborgs. I'd like you to please destroy the footage." When he realizes he just said 'please' he visibly winces.

Shredder has posed:
Saki walks away from the weapons, back to Twitch. "Twitch," he echoes, as if tasting the word. "Interesting choice of titles. So you are concerned regarding Andrea Jackson," he concludes. "She sent you as her own personal avenger?" He smiles, and it's a mean looking smile. "I presume that failure to comply is how I am supposed to end up with broken legs."

Twitch has posed:
"Nobody sent me. She doesn't even know I exist, but word got around that you're trying to extort her and that needs to stop," Twitch says as he begins to angle his body so that he can lead with his left side when Oroku gets closer to him, body weight shifting beneath him to make sure that he can react quickly. "Yeah. I feel like spending a couple of months in a wheelchair will teach you a lesson."

Shredder has posed:
"I'm sure she doesn't," Saki answers. "Just a starstruck fan." He doesn't look as if he sincerely believes it. "Well, you can let her know that I had no intentions of releasing that video. It was a gift with a simple request in response." He walks within striking distance and stops. "I respond poorly to being threatened. You can /also/ let her know that you are the reason the video will be released." He stares straight into Twitch's eyes, a nonverbal challenge for an attack.

Twitch has posed:
"Wait, so you weren't going to release the video?" Twitch asks. And then he hears the last statement and frowns behind his mask. "I told you, it's not her decision for me to come here." When their eyes meet Twitch nods very faintly and launches into an attack. He's more hesitant this time than he was before, but the front kick he attempts is still graceful and has a good deal of power behind it.

Shredder has posed:
The japanese man moves quickly, shifting to the side while leaving his own legs planted. His right hand reaches out, catching the offending foot, and shoves back, a simple maneuver that would throw your average person back and onto their rear.

Twitch has posed:
Twitch is not your average person. His reflexes kick in and rather than fall on his posterior he bends nimbly backwards and presses his hands into the floor to turn it into a backflip. "You're quick," he tells his opponent, sizing him up again before attempting another attack. This time the young mutant doesn't risk a kick, instead he tries to overwhelm the businessman with a quick series of punches, the strikes aimed for his face and body.

Shredder has posed:
Block, block, block, One punch after another is deftly redirected, with one exception that results in a blow to the face. It doesn't stop him from deflecting the rest, and he scarcely flinches from the blow.
It doesn't stop him from repeatedly blocking the remaining, until the trained Japanese hand catches a fist, and he twists, a painful redirect that could possibly end in a dislocated shoulder. "And you are weak," he answers.

Twitch has posed:
"Ahhh!" the young man exclaims as his shoulder is wrenched terribly, his whole face almost instantly reddening as he tries to give himself some distance from the other fighter. "Who the hell are you?" Twitch asks, breathing heavy to try to deal with the pain. Shaking his head and bouncing on the balls of his feet, the mutant takes his time to focus himself as he starts trying to rotate his shoulder, attempting to see if it still works.

Shredder has posed:
"Someone you should have not bothered," Saki answers. This time he closes, a direct yet catchable left punch toward the young man's face. It's a bait, though, to be followed up with his right hand to catch a counter and pull in hard so he can attempt to knee the intruder in the ribs.

Twitch has posed:
Twitch lifts his arm to block that nasty looking left from the businessman and starts to follow up only to find himself being grabbed and pulled into a knee strike. "Oof!" The air rushes out of his lungs, but Twitch isn't down yet. Instead he goes in for an attempt to grapple on the older man, aiming to get his hands on the lapels of Oroku's suit so he can hopefully take him down to the ground.

Shredder has posed:
Saki is taken to the ground, and at the first movement it seems that the attempted grapple is a success. However, as his back hits the floor he continues the roll, tucking his other foot in and shoving the younger combatant off in a monkey flip to send him flying back first and inverted toward the shelves on the wall near where the weapons are.

Twitch has posed:
Twitch hits the wall. Hard. Then the ground. He's looking much the worse for wear and still trying to suck air into his lungs. Struggling, he gets to his feet, letting out a moan when he bares weight on his injured shoulder. Gently hugging his ribs he shakes his head, then takes one more deep breath and straightens up into a fighting stance again. His hands reach into his vest to go for the ingots in it.

Shredder has posed:
Saki at this point is most decidedly a non-passive opponent, having changed gears from waiting for the attack to aggressive, and he dashes forward, tie flying behind him as he starts to close the distance between Tyler and himself.

Twitch has posed:
Thankfully, Twitch is the sort of guy who can dodge bullets when he sees them coming. He jumps to the side to get out of the way as Oroku gets closer to him, launching the metal slugs in his hands at the ninja master. As his feet hit the ground again Twitch rolls forward, going for more of his throwing weapons and trying his best to keep his distance from the superior fighter.

Shredder has posed:
Saki tuckes his head to the side as the slugs whips past him, and it strikes the wall behind, and then changes direction as Twitch tries to stay at a distance. He leaps forward with a flying kick aimed directly at the teen's chest, relentless now in his assault and undaunted by the projectiles he finds coming toward him.

Twitch has posed:
Darting to the side, Twitch tries to avoid the mighty kick, but with his injured ribs he can't move like he normally does and finds himself knocked into the wall behind him, his head hitting it with a solid 'whack'. He comes out of it swinging his fists, maybe a little punch drunk, but he's not quitting yet despite being outmatched. "Dammit!" He exhales. An attempt at quipping, all the sadder based on how Twitch can hardly breathe, "If you weren't evil I'd ask you where you train."

Shredder has posed:
The master casually deflects the frantic punches, driving a throat punch, followed by a shin kick, followed by a rib strike, followed by a punch to the face. He grabs the would-be avenging hero by the back of the head, then pulls down as he brings a knee up for a brutal blow to the face, then lets him drop to the ground. He straightens his suit, noting a small drop of blood on a cuff, and walks to the shelf.
"Unimpressed," is the only word that he uses to describe the fight. He tenderly picks the Tekko-kagi claw from the shelf, sliding it over his right hand and looking back down at Twitch, and he reaches to pull the mask from his face.

Twitch has posed:
Laying on the ground, Twitch actually twitches his face to the side, but he's unable to stop Oroku from pulling off his mask. "Damn you!" He's breathing hard, shaking his head to try to clear it as blood drips from his face. "You got me." He doesn't even bother to continue to fight at this point, he's clearly on the verge of passing out from the combination of pain and shock.

Shredder has posed:
"Hm." He picks Twitch up from the ground by the front of his makeshift uniform and brings the tekko-kagi claw up to his throat. "Normally I would kill an insolent fool such as yourself," he says. "I am feeling generous today. You want me to not reveal those videos? More importantly, if you do not want me to revisit your offense upon those you most dearly care for, then share with me something that might be worth trading for your life." His gaze is dark, and he does not look like he will ask twice.

Twitch has posed:
This is a bad situation to be in. With his mask off and blood pouring out of his nose, a bladed weapon at his throat and no energy left to put up a fight, Twitch doesn't have much choice but to comply. "I'm a mutant. I've got perfect accuracy when I throw things and my reaction times and agility are off the charts." He doesn't know what this mysterious businessman might want, but he's willing to try, "I'll do whatever you want, just please don't hurt my people." The youth is reminded that he's just a kid as he feel himself fighting back tears.

Shredder has posed:
"Now that," Saki says with a thoughtful nod, "Is something valuable." The claw ticks up, cutting deep and drawing blood up his chin. "A reminder," Saki says, "You have bargained your life today," he says, deciding the deal. "A sample of your blood, it could be interesting. A sample of Andrea's blood, which is the one I am more interested in due to it's particulars." He drags him to the desk and puts him in the chair. "Someone of your particular mutation, if it is real, could become a formidible fighter."

Twitch has posed:
Wincing as his skin is sliced, Twitch can only nod his head. "I'll figure out how to get it to you." Deposited in the chair he concentrates on returning his breathing to normal. "Yeah, I thought I was already pretty good."

Shredder has posed:
"You're not," Saki answers bluntly, unconcerned with offending the youth. He moves to a drawer located along the shelves, and opens it casually, pulling a cloth from it and wiping the blood from the claw. "Still, you are fearless. You are no coward, which is more than can be said for most." He slides his hand out of the claw, and places it back perfectly in its location on the shelf.
"Your life is mine," he reminds. "I do this out of no patronly instinct, and I do it with no desire to see you mature. If you have the blood you claim to have, I will see to your training myself. I presume since you followed me on a loud motorcycle from the main office that you know where it is," he observes. "Meet me there on Monday at 3:00pm. If you come with anyone else, you and your plus one will die. I imagine you know other mutants," he muses. "Do not be so foolish to think that because they are powerful they will be able to overcome me. Many have tried in the past."
There is the definite tone that this offer of training isn't as much an offer as much as a command.

Twitch has posed:
Once again Twitch is left without much of a choice. After wiping his bloody face on his sleeve he nods slightly, "Monday at three." He takes a deep breath and sighs, "I'll be there. Alone. Should I bring anything?"

Shredder has posed:
"Her blood if at all possible," is the response, said as if the answer should have been obvious. "Tell your pretty pop star that her secrets are safe," he comments, turning and moving toward the door. "I will provide you with the originals. And do yourself a favor," he adds as he pulls the door open. "Tell her you won."

Twitch has posed:
When the door is opened for him Twitch stands up slowly from his chair and briefly closes his eyes. "I'll tell her." It may not have been an order but he seems to be taking it as such, defeated. as he leaves he moves slowly, wincing in pain as he walks away.
