Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Gravitas, Superwoman

Gravitas has posed:
"You know, we could just float right here and have lunch if you want," Victoria starts with a soft laugh, smiling up at Faora. She always seems to float at their actual heights, keeping the same significant separation between their faces the majority of the time. Of course, her ability to fly upward and downward witha thought is actually incredible when one considers what it truly entails as to her control. The picnic basket is, for its part, floating just behind her for now.
"So, I had a chicken i was roasting but I didn't know what to do with it yet. There's fresh bread and... Well, other things. I've been practicing my cooking!" Tori doesn't need to touch the basket so instead she reaches out for Faora's hand as they drift over miles of endless forest. "There's... Oh, look." Then the girl drops downward toward a clearing.
A waterfall is utterly different from above, glittering from the sunlight like so many white diamonds laid across a cerulean pool. There's a froth of white where the water strikes the surface of a small lake that fills the clearing itself, the terminus of a long, winding river. Tori seems inclined to sit on a grassy patch on the cliff itself and look out over the world. She tugs Faora along. Gently, of course. She might have supernatural strength but she doesn't apply an ounce of it to her Kryptonian companion. For... Whatever reason.
"Have you traveled the world yet? Seen all the sights. Or have you been busy saving it?"

Superwoman has posed:
"It all sounds very delicious, Gravitas. Thank you." Faora offers quietly as the pair float effortlessly in the sky for a time before coming to land and find a grassy patch of cliff-side property. She seems quite alright with letting Tori talk, letting her say whatever is on her mind. She is quiet, just watching the world as it passes by. Letting the spray of the waterfall float around them. Enjoying the moment.

"I've traveled, yes. However, I haven't spent much time in non American locales." She says softly. "There are a great many people on this planet. A lot of noise. A lot of chaos. It grates on my nerves." She admits.

Gravitas has posed:
"Well. I thought we could go sightseeing! I have a big book of landmarks and interesting places to visit. We could fly past the Taj Mahal and the pyramids and stuff? That way we can avoid crowd." Tori bobs slightly, going about the process of laying out a picnic blanket and arranging food for them both. The chicken is actually still hot.

"You can call me Victoria if you want. I am still getting used to being 'Gravitas', honestly." Victoria does not seem upset, however, and once she finishes laying out the food she settles down. "Your hating chaos and noise must make me interesting to have around," she addss playfully. "No, I get it though. I grew up in the middle of a city but I can't imagining. The world must be deafening for you."

Superwoman has posed:
"Maybe. One day." Faora says quietly, "We can go many places. There is much work to do now, though. No time for vacations. I can't take time off now." Faora continues. "Victoria, then. Call me Fae." she offers then as the blanket goes out and she goes to find a spot to sit near the other woman.

"You have no idea, the noise, that is. Every heart beat. Every sound. Every scent, even." She says- her voice is gentle and soft. Perhaps even a bit of sadness to it. "I've always hated chaos, though. Its.. against my nature. I like things to be ordered. Stable. Safe... but, at the same time, I feel no more alive than when I'm in a fight. Its because I'm a soldier."

Gravitas has posed:
"Fae." Victoria nods at that. The food set out she settles in next to Faora and then offers the woman beside her a plate. Potato salad, chicken, even barbecued beans. Tori is actually a talented chef and he table setting skills have clearly been practiced intensely for many years. Everything is neatly set in its place. Even if the silverware is plastic.

"You're a soldier. I get it. I feel a bit of that in a fight too. Though- it's more like a state of constant panic." Tori laughs a bit at this, wrinkling her nose slightly. She might be gentle, soft, but she speaks in a bright and upbeat tone that is often a little bit too fast. "A vacation wouldn't take us long. But you're right. That should wait until we do something really cool." Nodding Tori shifts her spot on the blanket.

"This is nice, though. Closer to home." Victoria breathes a quiet sigh as she states that, glancing upward. "You don't take breaks normally, do you?"

Superwoman has posed:
Faora nods quietly. She's slow, languid now. As if she were resting. She looks to the food. "I prefer not to take breaks. There is too much that can go wrong if I'm not active. I have more experience in combat than any other Kryptonian alive. I have the training to do this job, more so than any other. I can't stop, Victoria." she says, "I have.. I have reasons for not wanting to stop. I need, desperately, for all of humanity to see me as their protector. As their servant. As someone who is here for their benefit."

Gravitas has posed:
"I know. I get it. I knew you'd say that and I think that's... Amazing," Victoria responds quietly, rolling her shoulders back slightly as she does. "I want to help you with that. I mean. I, um. Need to take breaks sometimes," she continues, blinking once as she does so. Tori reaches for a piece of chicken and pops it into her mouth. "But if it will help for people tosee you as their hero then I want that for you . And I think I can keep up," she continues, musingly. "Like. ALl the way. Only one way to find out, right?"

Superwoman has posed:
"Its not amazing. Its necessary." Faora replies, almost curtly. "You're welcome to join me in this task, but its not going to be easy, Victoria. I... I'm not easy to work with." Faora replies. "I'm used to being obeyed in combat situations. I was a commander of men and women, soldiers."

Gravitas has posed:
"Are you willing to take a new recruit and teach her how to be?" Victoria asks, rather bluntly. "I'll learn. As long as you promise that we'll tak a moment to relax like we are now and just be use. Outside of battle. I'll obey you, too. I promise." Victoria turns slightly in order to better face Faora. She tilts her head to the left as she considers this a moment, her gaze roaming Faora's face for a moment before she locks eyes with her. Quietly, even sweetly, her own aswide as saucers and bright in the slowly falling light. "I... Have no idea where to start, anyway."

Superwoman has posed:
"You understand that would change our relationship, don't you?" Faora says softly. "We could be friends, certainly. We could never be more, though." she notes quietly, "It.. would be inappropriate for me to teach you, or command you and be anything more." Faora notes quietly. "You do understand that, I hope." she says, as she looks over to Victoria now.

Gravitas has posed:
Tori bites her bottom lip here for a long moment, still watching Faora's gaze while she considers this. Her pulse is thundering at triple pace now. Faora would see the difference as an athlete's resting pace of 43 beats explodes to nearly a hundred and twenty. Her cheeks flush faintly and she frowns, slowly shaking her head. "There are only two of us. There's no corruption- or anything- to worry about. I don't think it's inappropriate. As a partnership, not as an, um army," she starts slowly. She licks her lips lightly, obviously hanging on Faora's response.

Superwoman has posed:
"I can tell you're attracted to me, Victoria. I'm touched by it. Its.. something I haven't had for a long time." Faora admits quietly, "But that sort of relationship would still be taking advantage of you." she notes, "I would be in a position of power. You would be in a position to obey. It.. wouldn't be right." she notes softly. "I couldn't do that to you, it would be wrong."

Gravitas has posed:
"Are you telling me that we could... You know. Be an 'item' if I turn this down?" Victoria asks then. She keeps watching for now, tilting her headslightly to theleft as she considers. Then, however, the girl starts to laugh softly. "Seriously. You need to lighten up just a tiny bit. Just this once. IF you have power over me and then use it to get me to sleep with you, that's taking advantage. But if we're together and I tell you I want to be, um... You know."

Victoria's cheeks are flushed near scarlet; bright enough to be clear even on her skin, as she considers what to say next. "Maybe you don't. If I want to obey you. And we decide to work together because we'd make a great time. Except, you know, I'm clueless so I have to do what you say for our safety? I don't think that's taking advantage of anyone. You haven't done anything to me." Victoria shifts her weight a bit closer now, slowly. "It's just us over here. Please don't make me choose between you and... You."

Superwoman has posed:
"You're attracted to me, Victoria. I can hear it in your voice. Smell it on you. The way your heart beats when you look at me, and the way your skin flushes." Faora says softly. "And I can't say that you aren't my type- you know you are." she continues. "But, a teacher. A commander. Someone who takes your hand and teaches you... its a position of power." she tries to explain, "I can't do both. And I can't promise being an item, either." she states, "We barely know each other, Victoria. You know me as Superwoman. You look up to me..."

Gravitas has posed:
"I'm not asking you to promise anything. This is all coming out wrong." Victoria groans and then shakes her head slowly. "A teacher is a position of power. I get that. So what? ...Ugh." She finally takes a deep breath and then slowly exhales. Once, twice. Three times. "I am trying to get to know you and you're making it ay too easy and way too hard at the same time. I don't look up to you because you're Superwoman, Fae.

"I look up to you because you've bene kind, patient, gentle... Because of the way you cry when you see all the people you can't help. How you held my hand the first time we flew together in case it wouldn't be safe. You have no idea what I see in you, but... It has nothing to do with you being superhero or having awesome powers or looking hot in tights."

Victoria swallows hard then, words catching in her throat as she speaks, probably too quickly, in her haste to get all of this across. "I mean. I can fly. And beat up bad guy. And maybe save the world. But that doesn't make me a good person. You keep talking about the people of earth seeing you as their protector... But I just see you as you. And you're gentle, and considerate... You haven't even told me to stop talking yet." Tori laughs softly at that before giving her head a brief shake. "That's the part of you I'm, um, most attracted to. The same Part of you that's trying to protect me from being used by you even though neither one of us can even picture how that would work."

Superwoman has posed:
"I can picture it all too easily, Victoria." Faora replies, fierce blue eyes looking into the other woman's now. "I take you out, we have a good time. Excitement. Get your heart pumping, and let that closeness overtake us. I pull you close, strong. My lips crush to yours. I hold you tight and.... well. Guide you to what I want. What I desire." she says- her mouth growing dry. "And, I have the feeling you'd yield. To my every desire."

"Am I wrong, Victoria? If I were to run my fingers through your hair, hold it tight.. pull you in for a kiss, a deep one? One that left your lips a bit bruised, puffy- Would you deny me?" Faora asks, looking at Victoria now.

Gravitas has posed:
Victoria is trembling slightly now but she meets Faora's gaze, intensely. She doesn't withdraw or shrink despite the sudden ferocity that is being exchanged between the two of them. The girl sets her jaw, rebuking the urge to bite her bottom lip, and instead draws a slow, deep breath. "No... You're not wrong," Victoria responds very quietly. "But that isn't 'taking advantage' of me. If I... If I want to yield myself to you. Give you what you want." She swallows hard, the biggest concession she's made to her nerves so far. The pace of the girl's words has slown so thateach is spoken carefully, starkly. Bitten off with clear elocution to emphasize her point.

Tori's mouth is dry, her heart is racing. Her fingers wiggle slightly to keep them nimble. "What makes you think that isn't me getting what I want to? I mean, I could make the same argument. Find a beautiful soldier who likes th way you look. Smile at them, offer them companionship. Show them that you'll accept them, and- take them home with you. I know you can say no to me, Faora. But am I using you? Is that all relationships are, people using eachother and hurting them?

"Why don't you tell me what YOU want?"

Superwoman has posed:
"I don't know what I want, Victoria." Faora answers that final question first. Just letting the rest fall to the side for a long moment of silence. "I also must be concerned by how it look. You're younger than I am. And.. I don't know that Superwoman can... I don't know how the world would react. Would they still respect me? I don't know how any of it works here." she sighs slowly, quietly. "And I don't know what you want. I admit that. I don't know if you want me to... take charge. That, typically, is how my relationships have gone you know. Me on top. Always me on top." she laughs softly, "But you went to all this trouble to cook us dinner. Why don't we eat?"

Gravitas has posed:
"We' fly around in costumes. No one knows how old I am anyway," Tori responds to that with a thorough lack of concern. "We don't need to be together as superheroes in a hero relationship. We have our, um, own names and lives, right? As for the rest of that..."

Tori flushes slightly when Faora is speaking of taking charge, biting her bottom lip as she considers this. "You in charge. You on top. Until you tell me you want something different we'll, err, go with that. I have a lot to learn about that- part of things. But that doesn't sound bad at all" She shrugs her shoulders slightly now, back to worrying her bottom lip. "But now were way ahead of ourselves. I think. Food sounds good! Okay!"

Tori's hand snaps out and she reaches into the basket. She sets out cups and proceeds to accidentally drop a thermos of lemonade which promptly rolls away, open, to spill the beverage down the waterfall. The girl stares after it, blinking. "Right then. How do you feel about drinking water?"

Superwoman has posed:
Faora crosses her legs, letting all the previous conversation fall away for now. Let it rest between them as the food makes its appearance. "Water would be lovely." she says, "Thank you. Everything looks so very delicious." she remarks, "What is it all?" she wonders, then, looking over to Tori- its all foreign food to her.

Gravitas has posed:
"Well, this is a roasted chicken. Honestly, I mostly did this with a bit of onion powder and pepper..." Tori will go through the mesquite barbecued beans, the chicken, and potato salad with a great deal of care. She's describing everything, including the ingredients, with the patience of one who was born working in a kitchen. The only thing that doesn't fit into a typical American barbecue is the salad, which consists of diced cucumber, tomatoes, mint, and parsely seasoned with olive oil and lemon juice. "I've never actually tried this one before. I think you'll like it, though!" Is Tori's cheerful introduction. that and the careful offering of a spoon to Faora.

Superwoman has posed:
Faora is polite as the Tori explains all the food, and nods as the young woman takes all the time. She takes a bite of the salad by accepting the spoon and guiding it to her own mouth. "Very flavorful." she offers, as she begins to make up a plate of picnic foods as guided by her human companion.

"I'm sure it will all taste just as good."
