Synopsis: Robin, Spidey, and Wasp go shopping... seriously
Cast of Characters: Spider-Man, Robin (Wayne), Wasp (van Dyne)

Spider-Man has posed:
Sometimes it sucked being a poor superhero. Spider-Man didn't use his intellectual or physical gifts for his personal gain. If anything, being a superhero was a true drain on his life. Like how he found himself right now. His costume is torn in several places, almost raggedly here and there. He looks like he's been in a fight, and it's hard to tell whether he won. He survived, so that's a plus. And the skin that's visible doesn't appear to be black and blue. Not that many know it, but he's a quick healer.

Taking a breather, he lands on the ledge of the Silver Towers building. Crouching down on the grey cement, he tends to his costume, making sure that his mask is intact, still covering his face, and that the rest of it is still on. He had either deliberately torn some of the costume, or it had come off in the fight, and he had cleverly used it to tie the shards of his costume together. This one had to be a write off, not that he could 'write off' superhero expenses. If he had a master tailor, well, maybe it could be salvaged. But that was doubtful, highly doubtful.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Being a rich hero did have its advantages, multiple uniforms of the exact same specifications placed in different caches of resources all over your city and the neighboring one. Robin had even taken use of one of Batman's old ancillary Batcave and dubbed it the Robin's Nest.

Robin had left the area around Titans Tower, going on patrol by himself. He'd been beating up thugs in Hell's Kitchen to let off steam. None really gave him a combat challenge, but when you're a rage elemental, you have to find an outlet. He decides to take a breather, landing on an adjacent building, not noticing Spider-Man on the other side.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
And it's right about now Jan is walking by...yes walking. She does that sometimes. Down on the asphault, she tilts her head a bit.....and chuckles as she puts her shades on and.....notices something out of the corner of her eye. She learned to look at rooftops a while ago, and she actually finds spider man on one of the rooftops. "Hmmm...." She says as she shrugs and heads to the side of the silver towers building.

A few minutes later, she grows back to her normal size and sits next to spider man. "You okay, Spidey?"

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter bit his bottom lip through the mask. Potter's Costume Shop was down below, and he wasn't cheap, but the guy was good. "I do need a tailor," he said aloud. Melvin Potter also seemed to play it straight. Peter's spider sense would go off when he was being monitored electronically and his identity was in peril. It had never gone off on the few times he had visited the Costume Shop. Even so, Peter took precautions. He reached into his belt, checking to see how much he might have on him. Accessing the belt was unusually easy, since right now the bottom left side of his costume was well, missing. It had been ripped off. With Robin on the other side of an adjacent building, Spider-Man couldn't see him, and didn't sense him as any kind of impending threat.

That was the thing about his spider sense. It was all about threat. Wasp flying up, little, and then growing bigger, wasn't a threat. So it didn't warn him about it. Though, after asking for a tailor, only for Janet van Dyne to appear, Spider-Man couldn't help but try out, "I do need a million dollars." He looked around, expectantly, the joke clear in his voice, its tone, but it probably lost on Wasp.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian's own uniforms were made by WayneTech unbeknownst to the company. Lucius Fox had long been an ally to Bruce and the Batman Family.

Robin had looked to the other building, now noticing the two that had been conversing. The young vigilante had flipped a coin in his head, deciding to make conversation with the others. A grapnel was shot to the other ledge, and Robin had joined the others. He lands softly, hardly making a sound, a product of his lifelong training, he would have to make a conscious effort to be heard approaching. He waits a bit before he greets Wasp and Spider-Man. "Hello." He says, his voice still a bit high from youth.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Jan chuckles. "You want that million dollars, you're gonna have to earn it, Web-head." She says as she looks spidey over. "You do look like you've been in one hell of a fight though. You're gonna need a new suit." She says as Robin approaches, and she sees him. "hello there. I don't think I know who you are." Probably fortunate for Robin. "Mmmm....you coming down to the costume shop, Webhead? Maybe my company can make you a better suit."

Spider-Man has posed:
Spider-Man looked at his current state, then at Robin, who had just appeared, "Hello Robin...?" His eyes, or those giant white areas of his mask, that could contract and expand, seemed to focus on him, giving him a bit of a confused look. He remembered Robin being taller, but it was a very similar, if not identical suit to the one he had met. "Yeah, Jan, it was time to feed the Lizard, and uh, he had a grey skinned friend. I think it might have that Killer Croc who escaped recently. I left a note for the police, asking that he be returned to Arkham, and if at all possible, get him a room with a view, and maybe some sushi once in a while. It's the little things that really add up. Like, I could use some claw resistant clothing for the active superhero on the go. Oh, and one that doesn't absorb sewer water smell would be amazing!"

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"Killer Croc is a big threat." He chimes in, nodding to Spider-Man confirming he is Robin. "I am Robin." He offers, both to Spidey and to Wasp. "I was around this area, felt like beating up some gangbangers making a drug deal."

He felt inept at making conversation. Which caused his brow to furrow a bit. Out of his element it seemed.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
"Robin huh? I thought you'd be a little taller." And Janet is 5'4", so that's saying something. "Gangs in the area? After something special, I imagine?" She says softly. 'Come on. You look a mess, Spidey. You can come too, Robin. I imagine you'll want to be inconspicuous for the time being. Come on, we can head straight down." She then dramatically shrinks and a buzzing can be heard as her wings come into existence.....and she starts to fly for the costume shop.

Spider-Man has posed:
"We weren't formally introduced. Killer Croc, huh? I've heard worse names, but not many. Have you ever encountered Lady Stilt-Man or Eye Scream?" He put a hand to his forehead, shaking his head, "and I heard someone's going around calling himself Arm-Fall-Off-Boy and another is the Codpiece, but that can't be legit. It just can't." Looking down, he tried to see if he could spot any activity like Robin had suggested. "It's New York. Something's probably going on somewhere all the time, and the Kitchen's as good a place to camp out as any, but doesn't seem to be anything up right now." Also, his spider-sense was pretty calm. "I do need to get some new threads, or fix these... Hobo Chic is so last year." And with that, he followed after Wasp, towards the costume shop. He had seen Robin use the grappling gun, knew he could get down on his own, so he did a bit of a dive, followed by a couple of thwips to slow his descent, until he was able to land near the back entrance.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"I'm at the optimal height to use my size and take out my opponent. No one looks at me and thinks they have to go all out to fight me. That's their first downfall." He doesn't mention his age, but he also knows that it's obvious he isn't much older than a middle schooler. Robin quips, before dropping down with the others. His cape billowing out to soften the landing once he gets close. His gloves making the soft fabric rigid enough to spread his weight. He landed with little more than a soft thump on his feet.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Jan walks right in the front door, after she re-grows back to her normal height, then smiles and waves to the clerk. "Hieee! Listen, I have a couple of embarassed friends, and we're on our way to a cosplay gathering. COuld you help out one of them, since he tore his suit, please?" She says as she waves Spidey and Robin in. "Come on you two! It's not THAT embarassing! You're playing your favorite super heroes after all!" She's not lying there.

Spider-Man has posed:
"Isn't everyone at the optical height to use their size," Spider-Man counters to Robin, since whatever height you are, the best you can do is use that height. There isn't really a good or bad height to use that height.

The clerk looks to Jan van Dyne, as if he had heard this story a few times. Especially since Wasp was a celebrity and publicly known. Reaching under the desk, he pressed a button, unlocking a door. "The boss is in the back, next time, use the rear entrance." Melvin Potter's Costume Shop was legitimate, it had party costumes, but he made most of his money serving superheroes and villains, though he preferred to deal with heroes, since they usually paid, and rarely threatened him.

Spidey made his way to the back, and Melvin, looked up from his newspaper, and said, "what have you done to my wonderful suit?" He was proud of his work, as all great artists, and Spider-Man had worn the tattered remains of a one glorious creation.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian's reaction to Spider-Man's logic is only to partially glower at him, the white lenses of his mask squinting at him begrudgingly.

Once Janet makes the segue, Robin enters with Spider-Man, his hood raised even if he had no reason to. "He ran into one of Gotham's most violent villains." He chimes in.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
"Came here with a friend." jan then shrugs and walks herself into the back, along with Spider-man. "To say the least. Killer Croc isn't a joke." She says to Melvin. "Hieee..." She says waving to Melvin.

Spider-Man has posed:
"Well, if you want to get technical, he ran in to me," Spider-Man quips, though upon sight of Janet van Dyne, Melvin is entirely soothed. Next to Robin and Spider-Man, Wasp is a goddess. Potter said, "Janet van Dyne, as I live and breath." He might use Kevlar, unstable molecules on occasion, and other materials, but at his core, Melvin Potter is in the fashion industry, and Janet van Dyne is a trend setter. He suddenly starts to clean up, worried that his place isn't nearly up to the standards for her. Watching the total change in tone, body language, and the figurative cooing going on, Spider-Man leans down to whisper into Robin's, well, cowl, "do you think he even remembers we're here?"

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Robin looks to Spidey and shakes his head. "Absolutely not." To Which he is a little miffed if he is honest with himself. But this was New York, not Gotham City. He still gets height quips in Gotham too.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Jan actually puts her hand on Melvin's shoulder. "Melvin...is it? Stop. If you think this is messy, you should see my workshop when I get inspired. If the way you had it helps you work....leave it. But....don't fawn over me, okay? I'm here because a friend of mine does need his suit repaired." And she gestures to Spider man. "it's times like these were I have about 7 different suits." She then shrugs. "Just...do what you can for him......cuz if you made the suit yourself? I have to applaud your creativity."

Spider-Man has posed:
Melvin Potter is calmed, his heart not racing quite so fast when Jan puts her hand on his shoulder, and he stops worrying about the state of his work area. Looking back to Spider-Man, he frowns at the sight of that suit. And then rolls his eyes, "one sec," and he heads back down towards an aisle, passing by a few black zipped bags, all with labels, though they seem to be written in some kind of personal code, just in case anyone wanted to try any funny business. He comes back with a black bag, unzipping it, and inside, there is a brand new Spider-Man suit.

"You saved my niece about a month back from the Hand. I knew you'd need one eventually, just didn't expect it to be this soon." Spider-Man, looking at the suit, happy to have a replacement, but also feeling awkward about charity, "Mr. Potter... uh, I... I really shouldn't accept this, not without paying for it."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian looks down the isle, wondering just how many people have patronized this man's store. "Nice operation you have here." He comments, still quiet for the most part.

Wasp (van Dyne) has posed:
Janet van Dyne says, "you'll be paying for it, Web-head. Even if it means working for me." She says with a wink, before she looks to Melvin. "When you're a superhero, things like this happen. I actually faced Mole Man without a suit one time.....cuz it'd been torn off.""

Spider-Man has posed:
Spider-Man looked to Wasp when she said she had fought Mole Man without a suit, curious about that, but not asking. Melvin was too infatuated to ask either. Leaving it to Robin, who wasn't the most socially inclined of the trio. "Can I wear it out today, and pay back later... I didn't expect to need a new suit today." And he heads to a changing room, to switch them, after Melvin gave him the okay. Melvin then said to Robin, "yeah, it's a living. I make no judgements."
