Cast of Characters: Deadpool, Black Widow (Romanoff)

Deadpool has posed:
It was Sunday, and Deadpool was dressed in his Sunday best. He had a black suit on, white shirt, freshly pressed, black tie, black belt, black leather shoes. Of course, he had on his mask and his gloves, which kind of ruined the look a little, but he definitely would have fit in with the opening walk from Reservoir Dogs. Why Reservoir Dogs, one might ask, well Little Green Bag was playing on the television screen. Why it was playing was another issue entirely, as Deadpool was in the PoolCave, playing video games on an extremely oversized monitor. It looked like one of those Assassin's Creed games, except the character seemed to be dressed exactly like Deadpool, complete with modern suit, and a Deadpool mask. Clearly this version of the game had been hacked or modded in some way. But why would an actual assassin like Deadpool want to play as one?

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
Why indeed. Natasha didn't even begin to understand things like that. Video games were not something that ever held an appeal for her. After all, their lives were more interesting than anything computer generated. At least, that was her opinion. Yet, she knew Wade enjoyed his games at times. He enjoyed lots of things, some of which she didn't want to know about, yet they made him happy and that was the most important thing to her. As she walked toward the kitchen, she picked up a remote to turn off the television, thus eliminating at least that bit of noise since Wade had his attention elsewhere. For the moment. In the kitchen, she opened the freezer to take out the bottle of vodka that was always kept there. A glass was filled with a generous amount then the bottle was returned to the freezer and the redhead walked toward the PoolCave to peek in.

Deadpool has posed:
Deadpool was playing with himself. Really, it's the only way to describe it. And he was trying to walk in slow motion, on the screen, alongside the crowd in the video game, as if he were replaying that part of the Quentin Tarantino classic. Seeing Natasha appear in the PoolCave TM, Wade turned his head from the video game, yet still continued to play. He was putting in commands, using the directional buttons, and as the screen changed, with his character coming under attack, Wade used his hidden blade to carve up a path of destruction that he would be proud to replicate in real life. "Generous amount of vodka," he noted aloud. "Tough day at the office? You really have to come up with some better ways to relieve stress Natty, you know, besides copious amounts of alcohol, and copious amounts of sex... you know what, nevermind. I like your plan for the evening." Too bad the second half of it was wishful thinking on his part.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
"Copious? I wouldn't call it that. You've been with me long enough to know this is nothing more than a sip," Natasha points out. With her system, and her training, she wasn't one to ever over imbibe. "Regular day at the office. Didn't even kill anyone." She leaned against the doorframe, not pushing further into the room. She tries to leave his PoolCave to him alone though she liked to check on him from time to time. "We'll discuss the sex later when you aren't busy with Little Wade there." She takes a sip of the vodka.

Deadpool has posed:
"Didn't even kill anyone? Not even a little bit?" He shook his head, continuing to play the video game, without even looking at the screen. It was like how he could somehow drive a car without actually looking at the road. How did he do it? It made no sense. But so little did about him. In fact, he was a better driver when not looking at the road than when he was, in most cases. "Oh, I'm not busy, not busy at all, and I thought we talked about this. It's Big Wade, or Great Wade, sometimes Grand Master Wade, and on those special occasions, Wadeimus Prime. But only for special occasions."

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
"I refuse to call your video game self anything other than Little Wade," Natasha points out with a smile as she shakes her head. She is focused on the screen, wondering how he does that. Unless he's just played it so many times he has it memorized by now? That didn't seem right either. It was just a little bit more of the weirdness that was Wade Wilson.

Deadpool has posed:
"This isn't my video game, I mean, yes, I own it, but it's just the latest Assassin's Creed game." Pausing it, and getting up to head over to the shelf, he pulled out Deadpool: The Game, "this is my video game." Yes, he had his own video game, a pretty old one at that, but still fun to play. "You should give it a try some day. It's not... you know, the best game ever, but it's got me, and that makes it awesome."

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
As he withdraws the video game, Natasha arches a brow as she reached out a hand to take it. She flipped it over to look at the back cover as well. Then she glances at the screen where Deadpool version of Assassin's Creed is displayed. "If you are in that game, it's still your game. And this one is apparently yours too. And it's old." Okay, old is relative when she's speaking but in video tame years, it's old. She knows that much at least.

Deadpool has posed:
"Yeah..." Deadpool rubbed at the back of his head, as if he were sheepish, "I was, well, I did some things I'm not really proud of. It kind of got worked into the game. But they got the delightful Nolan North to voice me, which was a plus. If it's not Ryan Reynolds, and let's face it, he's way too big of an actor for a video game, then Nolan North would be my second choice."

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
That earns a glance as she wonders what would ever embrass him. Things he did he isn't proud of? In a video game? "So you got paid for this, I'm hoping? Were you even around then? You had to be young when this came out so how... You know what. Nevermind." She shakes her head as she offers back the game. There were some times it was just better to go with the fact something was without asking for details, especially when Wade was involved. She might not understand the explanation and if she did, she might start thinking he was a bit insane. Moreso than she already knew he was.

Deadpool has posed:
Deadpool could explain, that he just wanted to be in a video game, and thought that he could get one made about him without threatening the C.E.O. of a developer. Games usually took years to make. Deadpool came out pretty fast, and was really bugged, but then again, that was part of its charm. It was as messed up as he is. Someday, she'd probably explore it, and hear about it, but not today. "Oh, no, but uh, remember when I had that Shaft-like ring tone on my mobile? That was the theme song to the game." Changing the subject, he asked, "so, how was your day?"

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
So he didn't get paid. But he got a ring tone. That was Wade. No sense to others but it made sense to him. He was very much someone to live in the now. Another of the reasons she enjoyed being with him. She shrugged as she sipped her drink before answering. "It was a day. Nothing really interesting to talk about." Maybe if she'd killed someone, she might change that.

Deadpool has posed:
Well, what she doesn't know is that he kind of had to threaten and coerce the company into making the game. It was done under duress. "Well, the day is young." It wasn't. And then he got this look, hard to say, with the mask, but that twinkle in the eye of his mask, and he repeated, with part of it doing a Bea Arthur impersonation, and part of it his own voice. As Bea, he said, "occupation?" Then as himself, "Gladiator." Again as Bea, "did you kill last week?" As himself, "no." Again as Bea, "did you try to kill last week?" As himself, "yeah." Then as Bea, "Now, listen, this is your last week of unemployment insurance. Either you kill somebody next week or we're going to have to change your status, got it?" And he smiled at her, "History of the World, Part 1." As if that would explain it all.
